Major Upcoming Solar Eclipse Holds Divine Moral Warning for America: Rabbi

The Biblical plague of darkness will be dramatically replayed next week when a rare solar eclipse transits across the full width of the United States. This astronomical phenomenon, unique in the entire solar system, is described in ancient Jewish sources which one rabbi interprets as a divine warning specifically targeting the United States.

On August 21, a total solar eclipse will mark a trail from the Northwest US to the Southeast Atlantic Seaboard. The eclipse will occur on the last day of the Hebrew month Av, a day known as Yom Kippur Katan, the “small day of repentance.” The morning after the eclipse, Jews will begin blowing the shofar every morning for a 40-day period of profound repentance leading up to Yom Kippur. This corresponds to the 40 days Moses was on Mount Sinai atoning for the Jewish people.

The upcoming eclipse is exceedingly rare and viewed from a larger perspective, the heavenly bodies are creating a picture that clearly has divine import. Though it has been 99 years since an eclipse travelled the length and breadth of the US, the next such occurrence will be in just seven years. On April 8, 2024, another total solar eclipse will transverse North America, but the visible path will go in the opposite direction, passing from the Northeast to the Southwest.

The paths of the two eclipses form a transcontinental ‘X’. In a strange coincidence, the only spot in the path of both eclipses, receiving a double-dose of this modern plague of darkness, and the point of the longest duration for both eclipses, is a part of southern Illinois known, appropriately enough, as Little Egypt.

Just as the original plague of darkness was meant as a warning to Egypt, Rabbi Lazar Brody, an American-born Hasidic rabbi and teacher, understands this present-day manifestation to be a divine message.

“In Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism), the sun represents the nations of the world, and the moon represents Israel,” Rabbi Brody told Breaking Israel News. “This eclipse is only over the United States. That is a shout from above, saying, ‘America, get your act together, Come back to the Almighty and cast away all your legalization of what the Torah calls abominations’.”

Rabbi Brody explained that the message implicit in an eclipse is that God’s light has not been extinguished.

“Through man’s actions, God’s influence in the world is being hidden in a state of hester panim (hiding God’s face),” Rabbi Brody explained.

Rabbi Brody quoted the Talmud (Succah 29a) which states that if an eclipse appeared in the West, it is a sign that idol worship has prevailed.

“Idol worship isn’t only bowing down to idols. In the US, there are people who worship homosexuality and perversion, one of the reasons the Talmud states for a solar eclipse.”
“Eventually, there won’t be solar eclipses,” Machefsky said. “This unique phenomenon will disappear from the universe.”

Though the nation of Israel is unaffected by the upcoming solar eclipse, spiritually and celestially, stargazers in Israel were treated to a partial lunar eclipse just one week ago. Since the moon is the heavenly body that represents Israel, Rabbi Brody understood that as bearing a message for the Jews.

“This lunar eclipse said to me that there is a blemish in the faith of the Jews,” Rabbi Brody said. “And I am not talking about the non-religious. The religious Jews need to repent even more. Faith and mitzvot (Torah commandments) lift us above the stars. When we cling to Hashem above, we don’t have to worry about what’s happening in the world below.

“But when Jews cling to the ways of the American lifestyle,” Rabbi Brody warned, “We lose that connection with Hashem (God).”

For centuries, one particular day has signified repentance for God’s people. It had deep meaning for Jonah, Moses and Jesus Christ.

And this year, Aug. 21 – the first of Elul on the biblical calendar – contains a critical message for American Christians, as it will be the date of a total solar eclipse that will traverse the entire United States.

A coincidence? Not likely, contended pastor Mark Biltz in a recent appearance on the “The Jim Bakker Show.”

“We are about to enter the month of Elul,” Biltz said. “And it just so happens that Elul was the month of repentance. It was on Elul 1 that Jonah left for 40 days to tell Nineveh to repent. It was on Elul 1 that Moses went up to Mt. Sinai after the sin of the Golden Calf, trying to make atonement while Israel was repenting for that. It was on Elul 1 Jesus went out into the wilderness for 40 days, coming out on Yom Kippur. Elul 1 starts the month of repentance and to have the solar eclipse happening at this time, it is of huge significance!”

Biltz, the discoverer of the “Blood Moons” phenomenon and the author of the new book “God’s Day Timer,” said he believes the solar eclipse falling on the first day of the month of repentance has meaning for believers.

“I believe this is a warning, that we need to take the lead!” he said. “As believers, God is telling us this starts first with us. And we need to repent.

“We, as the church, have 40 days to really repent, just like Abraham. He was interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah, trying to find 10 righteous men among them. I don’t know how many righteous [men] are needed for America.”

According to Jewish tradition, Biltz explained, because Gentiles go by the sun for their calendar, a solar eclipse represents judgment coming upon a non-Jewish nation, whereas a lunar eclipse, because Jews use a lunar calendar, represents judgment coming upon Israel.

And one of the best-known solar eclipses in history had a terrible message for the West.

“One thing I will mention, most people don’t mention it now, World War I started in August of 1914 and there was a total solar eclipse over Eastern Europe and the Ottoman Empire,” Biltz said. “And what happens? You have this total solar eclipse, the beginning of World War I, the Ottoman Empire is destroyed. It even went over Nineveh, the same place as where Jonah was.”

The date of that eclipse? The same as the upcoming one – Aug. 21.

Biltz explained God often “prepares the ground” before judgment and the opportunity for repentance.

“Most people don’t even know the story of Jonah except from the Bible,” he said. “God was preparing the ground before Jonah went. Did you know there was a plague? They found these cuneiform tablets talking about Syrian history, and they said there was a major plague three years before Jonah came. That was followed by a civil war: Maybe they were blaming each other for the plague in Nineveh. That was followed by another plague. And NASA records this, one of the most famous eclipses in all history, called the Bur-Sagle eclipse. It happened, this total solar eclipse over Nineveh, a month before Jonah came.

“Jonah comes and he says repent. Well, that’s why they were so willing to repent! They’ve already suffered from a major plague, a civil war, another plague, a total solar eclipse over Nineveh. Now obviously, they didn’t receive judgment because they repented. It didn’t happen for a while. I never set dates or anything. But what I do say is look at events that happen on God’s calendar so you know if it’s God who is speaking or not and then hopefully we repent and judgment is stayed.”

Biltz referenced 1 Chronicles 12:32, which speaks of the children of Issachar, “those who had an understanding of the times.”

“They were on God’s calendar,” Biltz said. “So my question to all of you is what time is it? Do we know what time it is right now?”

Biltz will explain the “signs of the times” to help believers know “what time it is” on the 2017 Alaska Cruise, beginning Sept 8. He will teach on the biblical feasts and the biblical calendar. WND Founder Joseph Farah will also be a featured speaker.

“In Luke 21:25, Jesus says there will be signs in the sun and the moon and the stars,” Biltz told Bakker. “And what do we have? We have solar eclipses, lunar eclipses and the Revelation 12 sign in the heavens!”

Revelation 12 speaks of a “great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.”

Biltz argues this refers to an astronomical development that will take place on Sept. 23.

In a separate interview, Biltz explained the sign: “The woman clothed with the sun is the constellation Virgo and represents the nation of Israel. The 12 stars represent the 12 tribes of Israel. Interestingly, the constellation Leo, the Lion, which is above Virgo, is made up of nine stars. The Lion represents specifically the tribe of Judah. It just so happens this year during the Days of Awe, three planets will join the constellation Leo making up 12 stars. Virgo will be clothed with the sun, and the moon will be under her feet, fulfilling this sign to precise detail!”

But what does it all mean? As Biltz told Bakker, everything that is happening isn’t so much a message to the world as to God’s church.

“God wants His church to repent,” he said. “Just like you’re (Bakker) talking about. I saw this in the news the other day, I thought this was fascinating, Google this, they say the exact path of the solar eclipse across the United States voted 95 percent for Trump. And the fascinating thing for me is, God is not interested so much in wanting the heathen to repent as He is in wanting the church to repent. Judgment always begins with the House of God.”

America: The Writing Is On The Wall

Days from now a total solar eclipse will cross the entirety of the contiguous United States. This eclipse appears to be filled with prophetic meaning, which I wrote about several weeks ago. I noticed that the first major city it crosses is Salem, Oregon, but lo and behold it was recently discovered that this eclipse actually crosses seven towns in the United States called Salem - seven.

Salem was the original biblical name for Jerusalem (Genesis 14:18, Hebrews 7:1-2) and to this day it is the shortened version of the name (Psalm 76:2).
Next month the world will witness what could very well be the Great Sign of Revelation 12, which portrays a woman in labor. Micah 5:3 indicates that this sign signals God's attention returning to Israel - in other words the Age of Grace or the Church Age is coming to a close because the rapture of God's children is imminent (Isaiah 26:17-21, 66:7-11, John 14:2-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 5:3-4, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Revelation 3:10, 12:5). Is it then any wonder that an eclipse over the most powerful and prosperous Gentile nation on earth is pointing back to Jerusalem and Israel? This may be the passing of the prophetic baton, as it were.

Though it is a definite minority, the United States still has the largest population of Bible-believing Christians on earth and if the rapture occurs soon the country will be economically and militarily decimated while Middle Eastern, Asian, and some countries in Europe will be left largely unscathed. Could the sudden destruction spoken of in 1 Thessalonians 5:3, which is tied to a woman in labor, actually point to the rapture itself? Or perhaps when God's children are gone, America's enemies will quickly seize the opportunity to attack while she is in a weakened state.
Why would God allow such incredible destruction to come to America first rather than other countries?
I would argue it is because she is a country intimately acquainted with the Gospel and yet has nationally rejected it. She is filled with Believers yet she is also filled with hypocrites who fill pews and disregard God's Word from cover to cover. No country in the history of the world has been inundated with as much preaching and teaching from God's Word as has the United States. The country has a church on every street corner and a Bible in every hotel room and in almost every house, yet despite all of that the nation as a whole has sidelined and maligned God's children and God Himself.
From the greatest Christian country has come some of the world's greatest evils. Her scientists and philosophers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries taught the world that mankind's existence was not derived from the Creator God, but from a meaningless transition from slime to ape to man. And then she did her very best to popularize Social Darwinism and eugenics. Her leaders and Christian shepherds mistrusted God and doubted his Word, so they embraced liberal forms of textual criticism, which treat the Bible not like a God-breathed book of truth, but as a largely inaccurate compendium of religious fables and allegory.
America was once a great shining light. A city on a hill. She preached the Gospel to every nation and became the greatest force for evangelism the world has ever known. Yet in the end, she rejected the very message she preached.
Her government has almost entirely removed God from the public square while legalizing child murder nationwide. And her government has promulgated and subsidized abortion all over the earth. Hitler's empire came crashing down after 30 million people lost their lives at his hands. At America's hands nearly 60 million precious children have been murdered and probably many more times that number have been murdered around the world with her blood money and the cyclical reversal of the Mexico City Policy.
She has used free speech not to protect differing political opinions, but to protect and advance obscenity - something the Founding Fathers never intended.  She is the greatest exporter of filth and pornography the world has ever known. The whole world has committed adultery because of her. And in 2015 she made herself Sodom. Since then she has only sunk lower as her political and religious leaders have begun abusing children en masse - telling them they can be something they are not. Boys becoming girls and girls becoming boys. Right has become wrong and wrong has become right (Isaiah 5:20). And through her globalist enterprise she pushes her ungodly conduct on the world.
She now seeks to break free of all moral and religious restraint whatsoever. A government free of God with legal child murder, pornography, and sodomy were not enough to satiate her horrid lusts. Homosexual marriage was not good enough either. Neither was state-sponsored transgenderism. Now in cahoots with other western countries she seeks for trans-speciesism, acceptance of pedophilia, bestiality, and worse.

Harbingers have appeared at her symbols of power as a timely warning of impending judgment. The symbol of her economic power was destroyed on September 11, 2001:

People turned back to God for a time. Millions of irreligious people flocked to churches across the nation to hear a word from the LORD. But it was a repentance inch deep and short-lived. Rather than turn back to God, lawlessness and apostasy only increased across the country.
On August 23, 2011, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Virginia and the D.C. area. The Washington Monument, the tallest stone structure in the world, was severely damaged and large cracks formed near the top. This occurred exactly 2,222 days before the Feast of Trumpets in 2017 and the monument is exactly 2,222/4 feet or 2,222*3 inches in height. The monument's namesake, George Washington, was born on 2/22/1732.

Last year news broke that black slime was spreading over various national monuments in Washington, D.C. The National Park Service was at a loss, not knowing how to remove the bacterial biofilm. The black substance has spread on both the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials:

Then on August 11th of this year, torrential rains damaged George Washington's Mount Vernon estate, washing away 100 feet of wall and destroying the path to the tomb of America's first president.

America is crumbling both physically and spiritually. She has turned her back on God. And God is the ultimate Gentleman - He will not force Himself on her. Soon He will take His children away to a place of safety and leave the country to reap what she has sown. The Restrainer still remains on earth preserving some semblance of normalcy, but will soon be removed (2 Thessalonians 2:7-9). America, you wanted a world without God.  You wanted to be your own god. You wanted to go your own way. Well you're about to get what you wanted and you'll soon discover what it means to lose God's blessing and protection.
On Monday, August 21st, a total solar eclipse will cross the entire country right through its middle. It's the first time a total solar eclipse has crossed only the United States since the nation was founded in 1776. Could this be a signal that her time is coming to an end?
In Daniel 5 we learn that the Babylonian king Belshazzar, son of Nebuchadnezzar, defiled holy artifacts that belonged to the LORD. As the king and his nobles feasted in the midst of the defilement a hand appeared and wrote the following on the wall of his royal palace:

Belshazzar summoned the Prophet Daniel who interpreted the meaning:

'You, Belshazzar, his son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this. Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways. Therefore he sent the hand that wrote the inscription.
This is the inscription that was written:
mene, mene, tekel, parsin
Here is what these words mean:

Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.
Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.
Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.'
Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.
That very night Belshazzar, king of the Babylonians, was slain, and Darius the Mede took over the kingdom, at the age of sixty-two.

Belshazzar had time in his life to turn back, but once the writing was on the wall it was too late. There was no more time. The Babylonian Empire came to an end and the Persian Empire rose in its place. Is this Monday's solar eclipse America's handwriting on the wall? Is it any wonder that in the very year the Great Sign occurs on or one day after the Feast of Trumpets, Trump/Pence become President and Vice President while promising to build a wall? Friends, the writing is on the wall. Again I say: the writing is on the wall!
In Psalm 19:1-4 we learn that God uses the sky itself to communicate to us. He uses the sun, moon, and stars for signs (Genesis 1:14). This solar eclipse is highly unusual for so many reasons and it occurs just 33 days before what may very well be the Great Sign. It begins in the 33rd state, ends at the 33rd parallel, and occurs on the 233rd day of the year, which is 33 weeks and 2 days into 2017. The eclipse will take 1 hour and 33 minutes to cross the country and occurs 133 days (inclusive) before the end of 2017. The total eclipse ends on the 33rd second. It is also the first total solar eclipse to cross the entire contiguous United States in 3 x 33 years. Don't harden your heart to this - it's more than a coincidence. It's design.

In my previous article I pointed out Ezekiel 33, which is a call to watch and to blow the trumpet when trouble is coming. A reader directed my attention to another important 33 in Scripture. Specifically Revelation 3:3:

Remember, then, what you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know the hour when I will come upon you.

Could it be that the August 21st eclipse is pointing our attention to Revelation 3:3 just 33 days before the possible fulfillment of the Revelation 12 Sign?

I would argue that there may no longer be time left for national repentance. One of the towns that the path of totality crosses is Ravenna, Nebraska, which is named after the town in Italy where Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon. It's where we get the terms "crossing the Rubicon" and "the die is cast", because Julius Caesar uttered the latter words as he led his army across the aforementioned river in 49 BC (alea iacta est). They mean the same thing: past the point of no return. There's now no turning back.
Yet there is still time, a very short time, for you to turn back to a God who loves you with such an incredible love that He died for you while you were yet a sinner (Romans 5:8, Galatians 2:20, Revelation 1:5). Remove your faith in America and place it in the One who controls her destiny. Repent and believe the Good News.

In Israel Today, Ludwig Schneider continues, “This came to pass 300 years after Ben Samuel’s death. He could not have based this prophecy on events that could be foreseen, but only on the results of his study of the Bible.

“According to Leviticus 25, the nation is reunited with its land in the year of Jubilee. Therefore, the Jubilee year plays an important role in Israel’s history. In this case, the Jubilee began with the defeat and conquest of the Mamelukes in Jerusalem by the Ottoman Kingdom in 1517. The Turks reigned over Jerusalem until the British General Edmund Allenby defeated them exactly eight Jubilees later in 1917.

“Ben Samuel’s prophecy was fulfilled precisely because 1517 to 1917 is exactly 400 years. Afterward, Jerusalem was a no-man’s land for 50 years during the time of the British Mandate (1917–1967) and the time of Jordanian rule (1947–1967), another Jubilee year. During the Six Day War in 1967, Israel captured Jerusalem from Jordan and the city returned to the Jewish people after nearly two millennia of exile. After that, the countdown for the Messianic age began.”

Schneider assumes that since Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel’s prediction appears to be fulfilled to date, then 2017 should launch the beginning of the Messianic era.[v]

Protestant Reformers and What They Believed Would Start Following 2016

Among the turn-of-the-century Protestant reformers, an astonishing number of theologians believed the False Prophet and Antichrist would assume places of authority in 2016 and shortly thereafter ascend the world stage. The famous preacher Jonathan Edwards was convinced of this possibility and held a postmillennial view based on the 1,260 days the woman is in the wilderness in Revelation 12:6. He interpreted those days as the years when the true Church was to be oppressed by the papists. Clarence Goen writes of this, “Edwards considered that the most likely time for the…reign of Antichrist was 1260 years after AD 756 (the acceding of temporal power to the Pope),”[vi] which would place the (beginning) of Antichrist’s power squarely in 2016. When we were doing research for the book, Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here, we learned of this belief by Edwards and sought to verify it by examining a collection of his voluminous personal writings. We found confirmation within a series of his sermons preached at Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1739, on how history and prophecy coincide, and we published that letter in our book Petrus, showing how Edwards believed Antichrist would take a position of global authority in 2016 and thereafter become the final world leader.

As we also endeavored to demonstrate in Petrus, the pope’s rise to temporal power began when Pope Stephen began courting Pepin around 751 and then became a reality in 756 with the expulsion of the Lombards. We wrote how 756 placed the target sometime in 2016 as Edwards suspected. Around that same time during our investigation, we became aware of a sermon collection from the 1800s titled, “Lectures on the Revelation,” by the Reverend William J. Reid, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which were given over a period of time ending in March of 1876. Like Jonathan Edwards had over a hundred years earlier, Reid deduced that the False Prophet and Antichrist would arrive sometime around 2016. Soon we uncovered numerous other ancient examples in which the year 2016 was specifically foreseen as when the False Prophet and the Antichrist would be on earth, followed by the destruction of Rome. These included:

As also stated in our bestselling book, Petrus Romanus, the idea by some Catholics that the final pope from St. Malachy’s list heralds the beginning of “great apostasy” followed by “great tribulation” sets the stage for the imminent unfolding of apocalyptic events, something many non-Catholics would agree with. In Petrus, we especially featured retired professor of the Pontifical Biblical Institute, eminent Catholic theologian, and former Jesuit priest, Malachi Martin, who was a close personal friend of Pope Paul VI and worked within the Holy See doing research on the Dead Sea Scrolls, publishing articles in journals on Semitic paleography, and teaching Aramaic, Hebrew, and Sacred Scripture. In 1965, Paul VI granted Martin a dispensation from his Jesuit and priestly duties, and Martin moved to New York, where he dedicated himself to writing about—and sometimes speaking out on—a variety of issues stemming from the Second Vatican Council, to detailed insider accounts of papal history, Catholic dogma, and geopolitics. As a member of the Vatican Advisory Council and personal secretary to renowned Jesuit Cardinal Augustin Bea, Martin had privileged information pertaining to secretive Church and world issues, including the Third Secret of Fátima, which many believe has never been released and that Martin hinted spelled out parts of a plan to formally install the dreaded False Prophet during a “Final Conclave.” In light of Pope Benedict’s resignation (which Cris Putnam and I accurately predicted to the month and year in our work) and the election of the first Jesuit to the pontificate, Martin’s book, Windswept House—in which he depicted how a pope would be secretly forced from office (Benedict?) and replaced by a Jesuit-backed leader who would help them establish a New World Order (Francis?)—comes vividly into view. Martin’s claim that this occult-empowered group had infiltrated the highest levels of Vatican administration and was working to bring about this New World Order may also have led to involvement by operatives of the same group concerning his untimely—some say “suspicious”—death in 1999. Was he murdered by the Masonic “Superforce” he had warned about as working behind the scenes, secretly acting to use the Vatican to bring about a global Antichrist system?

The Establishment's New Public Enemy Number One: Straight White Christian Men

If you are a white Christian male who believes in God, the importance of the nuclear family, the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, traditional morality, national sovereignty, the Second Amendment, and limited government, you--and not Donald Trump--are the real target of the 24/7 hate campaign by Establishment media outlets to demonize the President and drive him from office.
The hysterical reaction to Trump's election was not driven by fear of him as a person. However, Trump's improbable victory, despite a never-ending blizzard of distortion, misinformation, half-truths and outright lies by Establishment media outlets, signaled a loss of control. That loss of control poses an existential threat to the Establishment's hold on power.
To understand the "why" behind what really happened in Charlottesville, it is first necessary to understand the difference between a state and a nation. Generations have been taught that state and nation mean the same thing. They do not.

• A state is a self-governing political entity of man's creation.

• A nation is a tightly-knit group of people that share a common history, ethnicity, geography, language, and culture.

Establishment efforts to destroy America's national culture have not been limited to the political and legal arenas. Media and educational establishments have engaged in decades-long propaganda and re-education campaigns extolling the virtues of "diversity" while demonizing positive references to the majority's national culture, including its Western European ethnic origins, as "racism". The current ahistoric propaganda campaign against the Confederate Flag is a case in point. The Establishment goal is to remove public display of this flag and all Confederate symbols, not because they are "symbols of hate" (which they are not not), but because they are symbols of resistance to unlawful Establishment power.
The Establishment has for decades deceived the American people into believing that their political state (the country of the United States) was under attack when, in fact, the Establishment has been using the political state to destroy the American nation. Trump's victory signals the awakening of an unexpectedly powerful remnant of the American nation, a result that threatens to thwart the Establishment's goal of total control. To attain the goal, that remnant must be destroyed or silenced and the Establishment has launched a desperate effort to do just that, putting you squarely in the crosshairs.
Judging from the ever-increasing absurdity of public statements issued by its personalities and the hyper-aggressive efforts to silence its opposition by overtly censoring content and public comments on FaceBook, Twitter, YouTube, and popular alternative media Web Sites, the state of Establishment panic is rapidly approaching the point of no return.
The pace and trajectory of events suggest that something major (a political assassination, a mass casualty incident, the outbreak of large scale war, a coup d’état, the imposition of martial law) lies just ahead. The next few days and weeks may well be critical. I believe that one would be well advised to avoid large crowds and public gatherings.

'HISTORIC' BAAL ARCH CONDEMNED AS 'ANCIENT EVIL MANIFESTING ITSELF'

Around the world, hailed by the global elite, a symbol of a false god is rising.

It has risen in London and New York City, the latter only a few steps away from Ground Zero. It was placed outside a global summit in Dubai. Most recently, it was even constructed for the G7 Summit in Florence, Italy.

It’s a replica of a Roman triumphal arch originally built in Palmyra, Syria. Destroyed by the terrorist group ISIS during the current Syrian Civil War, the Institute for Digital Archaeology used 3-D printing to rebuild the arch. Since then, the arch has been on a kind of world tour, appearing near global summits and in important cities.

But the arch isn’t just a Roman ruin. It was originally an arch for the Temple of Baal, a terrible pagan god repeatedly mentioned in the Old Testament. The rites of Baal were marked by child sacrifice and ritual prostitution. And many Christians find it strange that such a god keeps being honored or invoked repeatedly at global summits.

Jonathan Cahn, who rocked American Christianity with his New York Times best-seller “The Harbinger” and produced a revolutionary new kind of devotional with “The Book of Mysteries,” told WND he finds the developments ominous.

“When looking at this phenomenon, we have to understand the nature of the god involved,” he explained. “Baal was the god that Israel turned to after it turned away from the God of Scripture. He was the substitute god, the replacement god, the anti-God god – the god of their turning away, their fall. Baal was the god of the apostasy.”

Cahn argues what happened to ancient Israel is now happening to the post-Christian West.

“We are now witnessing a massive apostasy taking place all over Western civilization, a large scale falling away from the God of Scripture,” he said. “So to see the sign of Baal manifesting throughout the modern world is stunning. It is the sign of a civilization rapidly turning away from its faith and falling away from the knowledge of God.”

This mini-revival, Cahn maintains, is also so ominous because it is so unlikely.

“Keep in mind that Baal was worshiped in a relatively small portion of the globe and little known in modern times outside the Bible,” he said. “So for the arch that led to his temple to now manifest in the modern world goes against all odds.”

Cahn further explained the characteristics of Baal are uncannily linked to the sins of the modern world.

“Baal was the god linked to materialism, the pursuit of increase and gain,” he said. “He was linked to sexual immorality, carnality and licentiousness. He was also the god upon whose altar babies were lifted up as human sacrifices. So perhaps it is a striking phenomenon to see the sign of Baal in the modern world as we are again being given to materialism, sexual immorality, carnality, licentiousness and the offering up of babies to destruction – not thousands as in the case of Israel, but, in the case of abortion, millions – sacrificed on the altars of self-obsession.”

Indeed, some see the return of the arch of Baal not just as a harbinger or as a sign but as something with a deliberately sinister purpose. Rabbi Daniel Asore, a member of the nascent Sanhedrin, told Breaking Israel News he believes the arch of Baal is part of a sinister agenda to draw people away from the God of the Bible.

“The arch is the first step in that process, awakening an interest in people to paganism and as a focal point for world leaders to gather around,” he claimed in the publication.

Pastor Carl Gallups, author of the end times examination “When The Lion Roars,” also sees significance in the arch’s “victory tour.”

“I believe there is a definite spiritual pattern developing before our eyes and there is a connection here that much of the world may be missing,” he told WND. “There is no coincidence in the specific locations chosen for the Baal symbol to make its appearances. In the spiritual realm, it is as if Satan is ‘marking’ his territory, preparing for his one-world government dominance through the system of the coming Antichrist. And the leaders of the world are gladly doing his bidding – even summonsing his presence and ‘blessings.’

“It is also as if Satan’s spiritual claim is being laid upon the financial and government capitals of the world, a move that symbolizes the eventual interconnection of the planet – the biblically stated goal of Satan’s last days’ plan. The secular mind will miss these spiritual implications entirely, but those who know anything about the historical and spiritual significance of Baal and its deep connection to biblical prophecy of the end times can easily make the connection.”

Gallups maintains the world is suffering under nothing less than an unprecedented outpouring from the demonic realm, just as the Bible said would happen.

“The spirit of Antichrist and the coming one-world government concept is stronger than at any other time in history,” the pastor said. “We are on the edge of the days of Noah and Lot that Jesus proclaimed would accompany the time of His return.

“The spirit of Baal – sexual perversion, licentiousness, power and wealth – is undoubtedly sweeping the planet in an unprecedented manner. And, now, its display in major economic and world power centers – coinciding with spiritually important events – is a little too much coincidence to be mere coincidence.”

Mark Biltz, the man who discovered the “Blood Moons” phenomenon and the author of the recent book “God’s Day Timer,” argues there is a definite effort by powerful forces to delegitimize the God of Israel.

“I believe there is resurgence in paganism and occult worship,” he told WND. “I believe this is a top-down driven attempt. This arch very well could be the catalyst to build a pagan temple on the Temple Mount, especially with UNESCO trying to delegitimize Israel’s history to the location.”

Biltz, who urges Christians to get on the biblical calendar to obtain insight into the “signs of the times,” says the resurgence of paganism is a wake-up call for Christians. He believes the return of Jesus Christ is very soon.

“Our lost world is made up of lost people who act like their nature dictates,” he said. “The world is directing this. But what is surprising to me, but probably shouldn’t be, is how many believers aren’t aware of the condition the world is in. They go about their lives as if the Messiah will never come. They are not realizing He is standing at the door!”

To some, the whole episode may seem overblown. After all, it’s not a literal temple to Baal but merely a reconstruction. However, Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries believes the arch should be taken seriously. More importantly, she argues there are indeed powerful forces knowingly using occult symbolism.

“I see the Arch of Palmyra as a harbinger of defiance and I am concerned that it is not a harbinger of anything good,” she told WND. “Ancient Israel turned to Baal and paganism and drove God out of its midst. There is increasing defiance and God-hatred all around the world. There is a rise of the dark side – of blatant occultism.”

Markell provided an additional example of how global elites have been using such imagery.

“In June of 2016 world leaders, including the heads of France, Germany and Switzerland, watched a Satanic ceremony celebrating the Gotthard Base Tunnel in Switzerland,” she said. “They may not have known it was a Satanic ceremony, but when the center of attention is a ‘goat man’ and they are carrying a statue of a slain lamb, you know somebody knew what they were doing.”

The bottom line, said Markell, is believers should not dismiss these concerns, especially given everything else which is happening today.

“I believe it is no accident that this arch representing ancient evil is manifesting itself again,” Markell told WND. “The world wants to crush any aspect of God today and exalt things that are dark. The New World Order is not some conspiracy theory. I believe it is a precursor to Antichrist’s kingdom on earth and it is being heralded today even though we have no idea who the Antichrist is – or if he is alive and well today. Clearly the ‘spirit of the Antichrist’ is at work today.

“True believers can have nothing to do with this kind of symbolism or participate in any kind of pagan ritual. The Bible says in II Timothy 3 that in the last days evil will wax worse and worse. Believers are to flee evil and love what is good. While these are just 3-D replicas of the Arch of Palmyra, that does not make them any less evil.”

‘Brains linked to computers will kill our inner freedom’ - Zizek to RT on biohacking & identity loss

Humans are losing their freedoms, self-identity and free will, Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Zizek has told RT, noting that a recent biohacking experiment by a team from the University of Washington is just another sign of the dawn of a post human era.

A team of scientists from the University of Washington successfully managed to hack into a computer using custom synthesized strands of DNA.

In their study, which is to be presented at 2017 USENIX Security Symposium Thursday, researchers said that it is potentially possible for a molecular code to take over machinery by exploiting weaknesses of gene sequencing software.
“We designed and created a synthetic DNA strand that contained malicious computer code encoded in the bases of the DNA strand,” researchers from the Paul G Allen school of computer science and engineering at the University of Washington said ahead of their presentation.

“When this physical strand was sequenced and processed by the vulnerable program it gave remote control of the computer doing the processing. That is, we were able to remotely exploit and gain full control over a computer using adversarial synthetic DNA.”

While the researchers led by Tadayoshi Kohno and Luis Ceze admit that at this point, the threat is only theoretical, Zizek noted the sinister side of this experiment.

“The fact that is what possible to break into, to hack a computer through a DNA, means that our identity, determined by DNA is nothing more than just another computer formula,” Zizek said.

“Our life, human life, our identity is reduced to a series of formulas. So we are effectively entering some kind of post human universe where everything, our inner most identity can be reduced to a formula.”

“I would not be afraid of this [particular experiment], that’s not necessarily a bad thing,” Zizek said, emphasizing that there are a lot of much more disturbing scientific achievements

“What I'm afraid of is a possibility of a direct contact-link between our brain, what we are thinking, and a computer network, because there we lose our autonomy.”

He warned that soon computers will be able to control the human mind, misleading the individual to believe they are still in control of their thoughts and reality. Under this arrangement, Zizek argues, humans will lose their autonomy and will become indistinguishable from the machines.

“What is much more dangerous is... if our brains will be directly linked to computers so we will lose our inner freedom. Even in the worst of Nazism… those in power could not control what you are thinking. You can have your inner thoughts... Now with a direct link between our brain and the digital network, we lose our inner freedom,” the philosopher said.

In order to avoid machines potentially taking over the human identity, Zizek argues that all research into artificial intelligence has to be made public so that people can decide on the discourse of machine learning.

“Make all these procedures, and what is going on, these results as public as possible. No agency which is not transpiring to the public, neither state nor a public corporation should do this outside public knowledge and public control,” Zizek told RT.

Overall, the philosopher argues that humankind has entered an era of technological domination.

“Biology as science is totally integrated into a project of technological domination, manipulation and so on. And this technological use is inscribed into how biology functions today... life itself becomes just a technological process,” Zizek said.

But there is still a deeper philosophic problem, which nowadays has growing practical implications, Zizek said. “Is our identity fully determined by DNA? Or are we are not just biological automats? Do we have some spiritual freedom and so on?”

“I think if we are just our DNA. If the interaction of our DNA with environment determines us completely, then yes we should worry. But in a way, we just discovered that we never were free. We were automats [machines] also now but we did not know it. Our freedom was an illusion… So are we automats which just can be controlled or is there hope for our freedom?”

Relevant Background to the Elite Bugging Out

A migration to underground hideouts began almost 5 years ago in earnest for members of the alphabet soup agency retirees. I knew one of these “refugees” personally and he pointed to 2015 as the time when he anticipated that all hell was going to break loose. I wrote an article about the defection of my FEMA contact, his family and like-minded individuals from FEMA and DHS, almost five years ago.

Pastor Lindsay Williams sent me an email regarding a survival tip for the difficult times ahead. Pastor Williams has been a guest on my show several times and I sent him back an email asking when he would like to come back on my show. He responded that he has stopped doing interviews. His message indicated it is almost time to stop talking and to start preparing for some very dark days.

How do I know? Some of my very best contacts have told me that it is time to stop warning the people, because it is now time to start hiding from the wrong people. My initial reaction is to not believe them, but there are too many well-placed sources to not take this advice seriously.

Jim Marrs Saw the Warning on the Wall Five Years Ago

When the mainstream is reporting what has previously been denied, we need to ask ourselves what is coming?

The Coming Cataclysm Has Been Planned for Several Years

It is a newsworthy event; no less than The Washington Post previously reported that several top positions at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) went vacant, and morale is extremely poor.

“The Department’s Web site shows 40 percent of positions on the DHS’s leadership list are filled by ‘acting’ officials or are vacant — including the top four slots,” the Post reported.

In a separate story, the Post also reported in August 2015 that a wave of retirements from the federal workforce were taking place — a phenomenon that the paper blamed largely on age (many of those retiring were 60 or older). But the report also said that a number of very skilled workers were leaving federal service — and the more skilled tend to be better paid.

Conclusion

As far as I can trace, the recent wave of the elite and their intelligence community minions bugging out commenced nearly 4.5 years ago. However, the movement is picking up steam and crossing more population domains as evidenced by the Silicone Valley executives going underground.

When was the last time the government held a civil defense drill? Where is your bug-out place? We, the common people, have been forsaken by our government and we are totally on our own!

(As far as the elite and powerful going underground in bunkers the Bible in the book of Revelation addressed this topic two thousand years ago:

“I am a God nigh at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off. 24 Shall any one hide himself in secret places, and I not see him? Do I not fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:23-24

Although Dave Hodges is a Christian when he says “we should all be a little more worried” he should also tell us the Bible says:

“A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.” Psalm 91:7

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

Also when Dave tells us “we are totally on our own” he should also remind us:

“Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world (age). Amen.” Matthew 28:20

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Jesus himself told us concerning the End Time:

“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.” Matthew 24:22

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3)

AUSTRALIA FORCING PRIESTS TO REVEAL CONFESSIONS?

'I would agree to going to jail rather than to disclose what was revealed to me'

WASHINGTON – Legislation has been proposed in Australia to limit the religious freedom of Roman Catholic priests under the guise of seeking out sexual predators.

Australia’s Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse released 85 recommendations on Aug. 14 for “reforming the Australian criminal justice system in order to provide a fairer response to victims of institutional child sexual abuse.”

Most of the recommendations are common-sense reforms aimed at making it easier to find and punish sexual predators who target children.

However, one in particular is drawing fire from Catholics and advocates of religious freedom.

The report recommends that the Australian government make it a criminal offense for a priest not to report a sexual abuser of a child if he comes to the priest in confession.

Joseph Farah’s newest book, “The Restitution of All Things,” expounds on what few authors dare to approach, the coming kingdom of God. Available at the WND Superstore.

“Clergy should not be able to refuse to report because the information was received during confession,” the report stated.

Th requirement would force Catholic priests to violate the seal of the confessional, which is the sacred duty of a priest to keep any sins confessed during the Sacrament of Penance a secret.

Catholics believe that what is said in the confessional is between the penitent and God, and the priest merely acts in the place of God. Thus, he has no authority to reveal what he has heard while administering the sacrament.

The seal is so strict that it binds not only the priest but anyone who overhears a confession while standing outside, and the penalty is automatic excommunication. Only the pope himself can lift such an excommunication.

The report has drawn intense backlash from Catholics who are concerned about the potential infringement on their religious liberty.

Archbishop Denis Hart of Melbourne has stated he would rather go to jail than reveal anything he heard in the confessional. His sentiment is echoed by Father Frank Brennan.

As far back as 2012, Cardinal George Pell, Australia’s highest-ranking Catholic cleric, refused to reveal priests who had confessed child abuse to him. He said, however, that if he knew what the priest had done beforehand, he would refuse to hear their confession and turn them over to the authorities.

The Catholic Church celebrates as saints and martyrs members who have been persecuted or killed for refusing to violate the seal of the confessional.

Priests can, and some argue must, advise the penitent to turn themselves in to authorities if they hear of a serious crime such as murder or sexual abuse in the confessional.

However, as Catholic priest and blogger John Zuhlsdorf points out, the priest “can urge the person to turn herself in, but he can’t impose that as a condition” of being absolved, or forgiven by God, for their sins.

“A priest can strongly urge, firmly counsel, warmly encourage a penitent to ‘do the right thing,’ that is, conform her amended life to the dictates of justice,” Zuhlsdorf explained. “However, if he has a moral certainty that the penitent is penitent and intends to amend her life, he should not withhold absolution.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov states that the international relations are undergoing a turning point to a polycentric world order.

DVORIKI (Russia) (Sputnik) — International relations are undergoing a turning point with a gradual transformation to a polycentric world order, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday.

"We are definitely witnessing a turning point in international relations now. The period which is characterized by the domination of what we call the West in international affairs is becoming the past, while a so-called polycentric model of the world order is being formed," Lavrov said at a youth forum Terra Scientia in the Vladimir Region.

Lavrov noted that the multipolar shift in the world is facing challenges amid attempts of the dominating powers to preserve their dominance.

"First of all, the change of epochs is a very prolonged period… Secondly, I stress that this process is being actively hindered, aside from objective reasons. Those who impede are mainly the ones who had been dominating in the world and want to preserve its dominance in the new circumstances forever," Lavrov said.

The foreign minister stressed that the current globalization model with its financial and economical stance was suffering a failure.

The national educational forum for Russian youth Terra Scientia, which is taking place on Klyazma River in Russia's Vladimir Region from June 27 to August 20, will gather 7,000 Russian master and bachelor students, specialists and postgraduate students aged 18 to 30.

Russia has built a hypersonic missile capable of destroying an aircraft carrier with a single impact, it has been reported.

Kremlin chiefs claim to have constructed a Zircon cruise missile which travels between 3,800mph and 4,600mph - five to six times the speed of sound.

Experts warn the 'unstoppable' projectiles could spell disaster for the Navy's new £6.2billion aircraft carriers, the HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales.

Current Navy anti-missile defenses are only equipped to shoot down projectiles traveling 2,300mph, meaning they would be useless against the Zicron.

This would force aircraft carriers to anchor outside of their estimated 500 mile range

That would make it impossible for the carrier's jets and helicopters to reach their target, carry out their mission, and return without running out of fuel - effectively rendering them useless.

Pete Sandeman, a naval expert, told the Sunday People: 'Defence against hypersonic missiles presents a huge challenge to surface ships.

'There is so little time to react that even if detected, existing defences may be entirely inadequate.

'Even if the missile is broken up or detonated by close-in weapons, the debris has so much kinetic energy that the ship may still be badly damaged.'

The weapon entered testing earlier this year, and could be fitted to nuclear-powered cruiser Pyotr Velikiy as soon as 2018, Russian state media reports.

It can be fired from land, sea and submarines carrying payloads ranging from high explosive to nuclear.

The Zicron uses Scramjet technology which mixes fuel with air and allows it to burn at hypersonic speeds.

That means the projectile can travel at astonishing speeds - covering 155 miles in 2.5 minutes, which is faster than a sniper's bullet.

The setback is just the latest in a long line of problems with the Royal Navy's new carriers after a report earlier this month found they were beset with technical issues, facing delays and could go over-budget.

WESTERN people become more charitable to migrants when fed the "love hormone" oxytocin and exposing them to peer pressure, German scientists have claimed.

Researchers from the University of Bonn said that humans tend to be generally kinder to friends and family than strangers.

But this natural tendency can be overridden by getting humans to take oxytocin and then setting up a "social norm" which pushes people into accepting migrants.

"The combined enhancement of oxytocin and peer influence could diminish selfish motives," said Professor Rene Hurlemann from the department of psychiatry.

"Given the right circumstances, oxytocin may help promote the acceptance and integration of migrants into Western cultures."

The suggestion that Westerners should be given drugs to make them more welcoming to foreigners is likely to be hugely controversial.

Millions of migrants and "refugees" have poured into Europe in recent years, with people now attempting to cross the Mediterranean on jetskis after paying up to £3,000 per person.

Angela Merkel recently told Donald Trump she "wishes" she hadn’t opened Germany’s borders to refugees, while the billionaire Microsoft founder Bill Gates said Europe was at "breaking point".

The crisis claimed more than 5,000 lives last year and the death toll for 2017 passed 1,000 by April.

So could oxytocin be used to change some European's attitudes and encourage them to accept their new neighbours?

Yes, Hurlemann said.

His team assessed 100 people's attitudes to migrants and gave them 50 euros which could be donated to locals or refugees.

In the first control experiment, experts found that Germans were more generous to migrants than locals.

"We were surprised that the participants in the first experiment donated around 20 per cent more to refugees than to local people in need," said Nina Marsh from Professor Hurlemann's team.

Half of the participants were then given oxytocin, which made people who already had a favourable attitude to migrants give more money - but did not change the attitude of people who had a negative outlook on migration and did not make them hand over more cash.

But when people who hed anti-immigration views were given the love hormone and shown how much cash others had given, they become significantly more generous.

"Now, even people with negative attitudes towards migrants donated up to 74 per cent more to refugees," Nina Marsh added.

The research suggests that people could be made to be more generous to migrants through a combination of oxytocin and peer pressure.

However, it is not clear that the population of a European country would accept being drugged in a bid to help them accept massive social change.

One way we restrain these authoritarian figures (namely the politicians in Washington DC) is by practicing our First Amendment rights to speak about, praise or criticize the direction in which the country is going. The freedom of speech allows us to hold politicians accountable, elect leaders that will govern in our best interests, and expel those who don’t. Without the ability to speak freely and openly, none of this is possible.

Currently, and sadly, the freedom of speech is under attack in America. The mainstream media, Hollywood and leftists on college campuses across the country have been the main culprits of the assault on free speech, however recently it has also been undermined on the Internet. More and more frequently, stories are emerging of conservative voices being suppressed or even silenced by various social media websites, search engines, and even Google.

Recently, a Google employee who goes by the alias “Hal” spoke to Breitbart News about the political bias that allegedly runs rampant throughout the company. Hal’s interview withBreitbart is the first in a series entitled “Rebels of Google,” which will be published in full within the next few days.

In the interview, Hal, who understandably chose to use a fake name out of fear of losing his job, spoke about the ongoing effort within Google to suppress certain content that the company doesn’t want the public to have easy access to.

“Many people now fear that Google, Facebook and other companies are moving to control and censor their content. Are these fears justified?” asked Breitbart reported Allum Bokhari. “That is absolutely what Google is trying to do,” Hal replied. “The pro-censorship voices are very loud, and they have the management’s ear. The anti-censorship people are afraid of retaliation, and people are afraid to openly support them because everyone in their management chain is constantly signaling their allegiance to far-left ideology. Our leadership (Sundar in particular) is weak, so he capitulates to the meanest bullies on the block.”

The news is particularly damning to conservatives, who in recent years have been working to establish a stronghold on the Internet considering the fact that all other outlets, from the mainstream media to Hollywood, are run by leftists. A prominent example of this is Mark Levin’s LevinTV, which is an Internet-based conservative program launched last year that puts out new episodes every weeknight. If Google is actively working to censor ideas and information that do not align with the progressive ideology, conservative voices on the Internet could be in serious trouble. Another area of the Internet where widespread censorship is occurring is on the Google-owned video sharing website, YouTube. Just days ago, YouTube revealed on their official blog that they would be taking action to censor what they consider to be “hate speech” and “violent extremism.” YouTube also plans on launching a “trusted flagger” program, which will help the video sharing website identify videos that contain hate speech and extremism. Unsurprisingly, one of the organizations tasked with identifying which videos are to be censored is the left wing No Hate Speech Movement, as well as the Anti-Defamation League.

With liberal censorship running rampant in the mainstream media, in Hollywood, on college campuses and across the Internet, our country needs pro-First Amendment voicesnow more than ever. Once the freedom of speech is gone, it is only a matter of time before an all-powerful authoritarian state is established and individual liberty in America ceases to exist.

UK parliament's "Big Ben" bell to fall silent next week

The "Big Ben" bell in the British parliament's famous clock tower will cease its regular bongs at noon on August 21, falling silent for most of the next four years while renovation works are carried out, the House of Commons said today.

The hammers, which have struck the 13.7 tonne bell every hour for most of the last 157 years, will be locked and disconnected from the clock, although the bongs will still sound for important events such as New Year's Eve celebrations.

"This essential programme of works will safeguard the clock on a long-term basis, as well as protecting and preserving its home, the Elizabeth Tower," said Steve Jaggs, Keeper of the Great Clock.

The Palace of Westminster on the bank of the River Thames, home to parliament, is a world heritage site and major tourist attraction, and Jaggs encouraged members of the public to gather in nearby Parliament Square to hear the final bongs next Monday.

The 96m Elizabeth Tower, believed to be the most photographed building in the United Kingdom, is already half enveloped in scaffolding as part of a major renovation project.

As part of the works, the clock housing Big Ben will be dismantled and each cog examined and restored. The clock's four dials will be cleaned and repaired, their cast iron framework renewed and the hands removed and refurbished.

One working clock face will remain visible at all times, telling the time silently, and it will be powered by a modern electric motor until the original clockwork mechanism is reinstated.

All the other bells - which chime every 15 minutes - will be silent as well during the works that are due to be completed in 2021 when Big Bell's familiar tolls will begin again.
