Exodus 4:10–14 [says,]

Moses said to the Lord, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

The Lord said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

But Moses said, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it.”

Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses.1

There’s a saying that goes, “If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.” Well, apparently if you want to make God mad, tell Him your limitations.

God had approached Moses with an assignment that was over his head. The Lord was going to take on the leader of the most powerful nation in the world at that time in order to free His people from slavery … and Moses was going to be His representative.

Moses’ initial response seemed to indicate a genuine humility: “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”2

God simply responds with, “I will be with you.” No hint of anger whatsoever.

Moses continues to ask questions, all of them pretty legitimate. And every time God responds by giving him a game plan and telling him He’s got it covered. Once again, no anger.

But then Moses oversteps his bounds. He implies that his poor communication skills will undercut God’s intention to use him to speak on His behalf. We might be tempted to think that Moses is once again displaying humility.

In fact, it’s just the opposite. It’s pride.

Moses’ problem isn’t that he’s too humble and doesn’t believe in himself. It’s that he’s prideful and thinks God’s capability rises and falls with his own inability.

We often think pride means overconfidence in our own abilities. Or possibly attributing the source of those abilities to ourselves rather than God. But there is another side to pride that is often overlooked. It can also mean that you believe your limitations are an unstoppable obstacle to God’s power and purposes in your life.

There’s nothing quite so prideful as thinking that you have the ability to single-handedly thwart what God wants to do in and through you.

This time God isn’t patient or nice to Moses. He doesn’t respond with a “you just need to believe in yourself, you’re better than you think you know,” motivational talk. He actually turns angry, because Moses’ perspective is monumentally insulting to God. A God with limitless power and ability has no desire or time to hear about the limitations of the people He wants to use.

True humility doesn’t start with having an accurate view of ourselves. It starts with having an accurate view of God. And an accurate view of God will both shrink us down to size but also make us realize that God is big enough to use anybody of any size.

This includes you.

Maybe you think you’re doomed to be a miserable parent because you had miserable parents. Maybe you think your lack of an education will keep you from making a significant impact for God’s kingdom. Maybe you believe your friend’s response to Jesus is based solely on the excellence of your gospel presentation. Maybe …

You’re not that big. God knew your limitations long before you were ever even aware of them. Don’t stop selling yourself short. Stop selling God short. He used a stuttering, murdering shepherd to set a whole nation free.

AHMADINEJAD'S 'END TIMES' ADDRESS TO U.N.

In each of his past U.N. speeches, he prayed for the soon coming of the so-called Islamic messiah. This time he went much further, offering his most detailed explanation to date of his Shi'a Islamic eschatology (end times theology) and his understanding of the coming rule of the Twelfth Imam.

Ahmadinejad told the leaders of the world gathered in Manhattan that he had come this time "to voice the divine and humanitarian message...to you and to the whole world."

"God Almighty has promised us a man of kindness, a man who loves people and loves absolute justice, a man who is a perfect human being and is named Imam Al-Mahdi, a man who will come in the company of Jesus Christ, peace be upon Him, and the righteous," he said. Calling the Mahdi "the Ultimate Savior," Ahmadinejad said his arrival on earth "will mark a new beginning, a rebirth and a resurrection. It will be the beginning of peace, lasting security and genuine life."

Ahmadinejad said the coming reign of the Twelfth Imam on earth "will bring about an eternally bright future for mankind, not by force or waging wars but through thought awakening and developing kindness in everyone." The Iranian leader did not offer a specific timetable, but he did say the "sweet scent" of the Mahdi's global reign "will soon reach all the territories in Asia, Europe, Africa and the U.S."

Jordan on the brink: Muslim Brothers mobilize for King Abdullah's overthrow

Jordan's Muslim Brotherhood has given King Abdullah II notice that he has until October to bow to their demand to transform the Hashemite Kingdom into a constitutional monarchy or face Arab Spring street pressure for his abdication. -  DEBKAfile's Middle East sources report that Israeli and Saudi intelligence watchers are becoming increasingly concerned about the approaching climax of the conflict in Amman between Islamists and the throne .

For Israel, an upheaval in Jordan bodes the tightening of the Islamist noose around its borders - Egypt and Libya to the south and Syria to the north, with unpredictable consequences with regard to Jordan's Palestinian population. - Saudi Arabia, already threatened by Iranian aggression, fears the oil kingdom may be next in line if its northern neighbor is crushed under the marching feet of the "Arab Spring." - The oil kingdom's royal rulers are reported to have belatedly woken up to the peril and are in a panic. They realize that their preoccupation with helping Syrian rebels overthrow Bashar Assad misdirected their attention from the enemies lurking at their own door. Thousands of articles in the Arab press in the past year have predicted that after the Muslim Brotherhood seizes power in Damascus, Amman would be next in its sights followed by Riyadh. - The latest DEBKA-Net-Weekly of Sept. 21 analyzed the plight closing in on the Jordanian monarch and outlined three of his options:

1.  He could bow to the main Muslim Brotherhood's demand by submitting to the kingdom's transition to a constitutional monarchy and the transfer of executive power to an MB-led government by means of the electoral reforms for which the Brothers have been pushing for years. In Jordan as in Egypt, the Brothers hope for a two-third majority in a free election. - 2.  He could stand up to the Brotherhood's demands and order his security, intelligence and military forces to crack down on the opposition. This course carries the risk of plunging Jordan into the carnage of civil war among the diverse segments of the population. The biggest dangers come from the Bedouin tribes, whose traditional allegiance to the Hashemite throne has weakened in recent years, and the Palestinians who form 60 percent of the population.

3. He could seek to negotiate a compromise through various brokers. Our sources report that several attempts at mediation have been ventured of late, but got nowhere because the Muslim Brotherhood sent its most radical leaders to the table and they left very little margin for compromise. - According to sources at the royal court, Abdullah will very soon meet with MB leaders for a personal appeal for calm after years of heated debate. Most observers believe that he has left it too late and by now the Muslim Brotherhood has got the bit between its teeth. - Indeed, according to an internal memorandum leaked to the Al-Hayat newspaper, the MB has already set a date for mass demonstrations against the King to start on Oct. 10 and ordered its members to go to work at once to mobilize at least 50,000 demonstrators for daily protests against the king and the royal family until he bows to their will.

The memorandum states: "Every member must be dedicated to communicate with his relatives, close friends, acquaintances, fellow employees and various Islamic groups and patriots..." It calls for the formation of "hotbeds to... focus on the participation of groups affiliated with universities, schools and women's organizations." Protesters are also advised on tactics for overcoming a security crackdown. - Jordan's Muslim Brotherhood has therefore moved forward from opposition propaganda, debating and political pressure to activism against the throne. - Both Jordanian camps are anxiously watching to see which way the wind blows in the White House.

President Barack Obama has a balancing act to resolve:  On the one hand, the Jordanian king has long been a staunch American ally and friend, its mainstay in many regional crises. On the other, Obama regards the Muslim Brotherhood as the linchpin of his external policy of outreach to the Muslim world.

Controversial 9/11 film soars to #1 on PBS, breaks local records

A daring new documentary that uses scientific analysis to challenge the official 9/11 story became the most popular film on PBS during the week of the 9/11 anniversary, which followed its record-breaking broadcast on Colorado Public Television (CPT12).

"9/11: Explosive Evidence - Experts Speak Out" made its broadcast TV premiere on CPT12 (formerly KBDI) last month as part of a fundraising drive, according to a recent Digital Journal report. The premiere broadcast, which is available to view for free online, became the #1 "most watched" and "most shared" video on PBS online on September 11, and held the top spot for over a week. (The documentary, produced by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, currently ranks as the #4 "most watched" video and the #1 "most shared" video.)

CPT12 has also seen an impressive response at its website, CPT12.org. "The webpage for the broadcast has received more hits than any program page in the history of CPT12.org," said Shari Bernson, Director of Development at CPT12, in an email to the Digital Journal. Web traffic statistics from Alexa.com also show CPT12.org receiving a huge boost in traffic, which began during the August 18 premiere of Experts Speak Out and ran through the 9/11 anniversary. In addition, it marked the first time that a video produced by CPT12 gained recognition as one of the most watched films on PBS nationwide.

According to Bernson, CPT12 has a tradition of delivering information to the public that other news outlets are unwilling to cover. "I'm glad that CPT12 can provide a service that encompasses airing content not addressed in mainstream media," she said. "This is the reason why I work at this station. We're not afraid to take on issues."

9/11: Explosive Evidence - Experts Speak Out climbed to #1 at PBS on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

The film's director, Richard Gage, AIA, also commented on the historic outcome. "I am delighted to see that so many people are not only watching our film but also sharing it with their friends and family," he said in an interview with the Digital Journal.

So far, CPT12 is the only PBS affiliate that has broadcast Experts Speak Out, but other stations have inquired about airing the film as well.

Even PBS Ombudsman Michael Getler, who criticized the documentary in a recent editorial report, acknowledged that CPT12 should have the freedom to air it. "I have no problem with CPT12 or any station running controversial, against-the-grain programming," Getler wrote. "That's okay and often a good thing."

Web traffic to cpt12.org spiked during August and September after the broadcast of Experts Speak Out, according to Alexa.com.

While Getler characterized the claims made by the 40 technical professionals in Experts Speak Out as "preposterous and simply beyond belief," he also admitted that out of the 230 comments posted at CPT12.org about the film, only seven or eight were negative.

"I think it's great that so many people have left comments in general," Bernson said. "The fact that they are overwhelmingly positive is more of an indicator that people are still interested in the subject of 9/11."

According to Gage, the successful broadcast of Experts Speak Out on public TV may be just the beginning for this film, which is backed by over 1700 architects and engineers who are calling for a new 9/11 investigation. "We are eager to partner with other media outlets to get this vital information out to the public," Gage explained. "We thank CPT12 for taking the lead, and we look forward to educating more audiences around the country about the explosive 9/11 evidence."

Was Newton a scientist or a sorcerer?

Isaac Newton's belief in spirits and alchemy may have been essential to achieving his towering scientific achievement: gravity. A new science and arts festival begins this weekend to explore this complex man

Hot on the heels of Isaac Newton's apple appearing at the Paralympics comes a new celebration of his life and achievements. The Gravity Fields Festival begins on Friday in Grantham, Lincolnshire. For eight days, Newton's life and times will be commemorated by more than 100 events around the town, during what could become a biennial event.

Grantham lies close to Newton's birthplace, Woolsthorpe Manor, and contains the King's School, which the young Isaac attended. On Saturday at 3pm a blue plaque in his honour will be unveiled by the Astronomer Royal, Sir Martin Rees.

Often wrongly portrayed as a cold rationalist, Isaac Newton is one of history's most compelling figures. It is true that he was capable of the most precise and logical thought it is possible for a human to achieve: his three years of obsessive work that gave birth to the Principia, containing his theory of gravity, stand as the greatest achievement in science.

Just as certainly, though, he was also consumed with what we would now view as completely unscientific pursuits: alchemy and biblical prophesy.

Alchemy was a major passion of Newton's. In a footnote on page 21 of Richard Westfall's meticulous biography, Never at Rest, the author states: "My modes of thought are so far removed from those of alchemy that I am constantly uneasy in writing on the subject ... [Nevertheless] my personal preferences cannot make more than a million words he wrote in the study of alchemy disappear."

Historian and novelist Rebecca Stott wrote in her novel Ghostwalk that with those words, "Westfall admitted to wishing that he could make those million words disappear." That may be stretching it somewhat but clearly Newton's alchemy is a bit of an embarrassment to modern scholars.

Then there was Newton's biblical prophesy. In almost the same years that he was working on the Principia, he also wrote a treatise on Revelation in which he talked about souls burning in lakes of fire. With talk like that, he could have been the lyricist for Iron Maiden. (He had the hair too.)

Tempting as it is to dismiss all of this as somehow removed from Newton's science, his belief in spirits and what the alchemists called active principles almost certainly allowed him to conceive gravity in the mathematical form that we still use today.

In Newton's time, the natural philosophers had turned their backs on astrology and with it, the idea that influences could simply leap across empty space. Instead impulses had to be transmitted through things touching one another. So, if there was a force coming from the Sun that moved the planets, then it had to do so through a medium.

Perhaps it was a fluid, driven to circulate by the rotation of the sun, which carried the planets around. This was the thinking of French philosopher René Descartes.

Yet Newton could not make the mechanical solution of Descartes work. The vortices simply could not reproduce the changes in speed of the planets as they approached the sun.

Alchemy offered a way out by having as a philosophical underpinning that non-material influences - spirits -  existed. These needed no physical contact and could induce transformations or movement through the triggering of "active principles" within an object.

Primed to believe in these ideas, Newton discovered a simple, elegant mathematical equation that described the behaviour of gravity without the need for an intervening fluid. Gravity apparently worked across empty space. He called this principle "action at a distance" and instead of "spirit" began using the word "force" to better reflect its mathematical character.

His equation also reveals the "active principle" that governs an object's response to gravity. It is mass. With such direct analogies to spirits and active principles, Newton must surely have felt some sort of vindication for his alchemical beliefs.

The theory of gravity was so successful that it became one of the triggers for the Age of Enlightenment. Although hardly anyone now believes in the concept of alchemy, we do still believe that gravity can exert an influence across empty space. Engineers still use Newton's maths to launch satellites and send spacecraft to distant planets.

So was Sir Isaac a scientist or a sorcerer? In truth, he was a bit of both. And that was why he could succeed where others had failed.

Russia has suspended the import and use of an American GM corn following a study suggesting a link to breast cancer and organ damage.

Separately, the European Food Safety Authority(EFSA), has ordered its own review in to the research, which was conducted at a French university.

The decision by Russia could be followed by other nations in what would be a severe blow to the take-up of the controversial technology.

To answer this question, I visited a local grocery store in Austin, Texas and purchased 10 breakfast cereals made with high levels of non-organic corn.

According to the Center for Food Safety, up to 85% of the corn grown in the United States is genetically modified. This means corn-based cereals that use non-organic corn have a very high likelihood of containing GM corn.

The following list presents the top 10 popular breakfast cereals most likely to contain Monsanto's genetically modified corn. For the record, none of these cereals claim to be GMO-free, nor made with organic corn. The exact GMO content of these cereals remains a mystery precisely because manufacturers of these cereals refuse to label them with their GMO content. This lack of full disclosure by the food industry underscores the urgent need for a labeling law so that consumers can make an informed decision.

Legal note: In no way are we claiming these cereals will cause cancer tumors to grow in your body or that they pose an immediate risk to your health. Those studies have not yet been done on humans. GM corn is an experimental crop with unknown long-term effects of humans. Breakfast cereals made with GM corn may turn out to pose a significant long-term risk to human health, but that has not yet been determined. This article is presented in the public interest, reflecting reasonable caution over a common food ingredient which French scientists have now convincingly linked to cancer and premature death in studies conducted on rats.

There is only one brand of breakfast cereal I know of that's 100% non-GMO and 100% organic across their entire product line.

If you buy breakfast cereal, and you don't want to eat Monsanto's GM corn, always choose cereals from Nature's Path. This is my No. 1 most highly trusted cereal company.

Many "natural" brands that appear to be healthful and natural are actually not organic or GMO-free. For example, "Barbara's Bakery" cereals are not organic. Although they are positioned in store shelves alongside other organic cereals, they are actually made with conventional crops grown with pesticides which may include Monsanto's Roundup.

You may also notice that most of the cereals most likely to contain GM corn are children's cereals. It is the children in America who are being fed the most GMOs. This represents a highly unethical food experiment being conducted on an entire generation, and the long-term effects of human consumption of GMOs are simply not known.

What we do know is that rats fed this very same Monsanto GM corn developed shockingly large cancer tumors.

Everybody has a calling, don't they? Some have a high calling, some have a low calling. Everybody is called but few are chosen. There's a lot of distraction for people, so you might not never find the real you. A lot of people don't.

How would you describe your calling?

Mine? Not any different than anybody else"s Some people are called to be a good sailor;. Some people have a calling to be a good tiller, of the land. Some people are called to be a good friend. You have to be the best at whatever you are called at. Whatever you do. You ought to be the best at it - highly skilled. It's about confidence, not arrogance. You have to know that you're the best whether anybody tells you that or not. And that you'll be around, in one way or another, longer than anybody else. Somewhere inside of you, you have to believe that.

You have to change your heart if you want to change.

When you say religious songs...

Newly written songs, but ones that are traditionally motivated.

More like "Slow Train Coming"?

No. No. Not at all. They're more like "Just a Closer Walk With Thee."

You have to amplify your faith. Everybody's facing some kind of struggle for sure.

Has you faith changed?

Certainly is has, o ye of little faith. Who's to say that I even have any faith or what kind? I see God's hand in everything. Every person, place and thing, every situation.

Faith is good - it could move mountains. You can tell whether other people have faith or not faith by the way they behave, by the sh-t that comes out of their mouth. A little faith can go a long ways. It's the right thing for people to have. When we have little else, that will do.

Clearly, the language of the Bible still provides imagery in your songs.

Of course, what else could there be? I believe in the Book of Revelation.

These are the same people that tried to pin the name Judas on me. Judas, the most hated name in human history! If you think you've been called a bad name, try to work your way out form under that. Yeah, and for what? For playing an electric guitar? As if that is in some kind of way equitable to betraying our Lord and delivering him up to be crucified.

When you put your life on the line for somebody, that's love. But you'll never know it until you're in the moment. When someone will die for you, that's love too.

'Jesus Not Allowed': Anti-Faith Sentiment Sweeps US

Could you imagine going to jail for your faith? A recent report warns that it could happen. -      - CBN News investigated the growing wave of hostility to Christianity in America that's led to hundreds of court cases.

No Religion Allowed

Angela Hildenbrand faced the very real possibility of going to jail for her faith. The trouble began when a federal judge ruled that no one at her Texas high school could pray or even use words like "prayer" or "amen" during the 2011 graduation ceremonies.

As class valedictorian, Hildenbrand felt God deserved the praise, even if it meant jail for her. -   - "I was definitely preparing myself to have to make that sort of tough decision and mentally prepare myself for what well could be coming next," she told CBN News. -   - Hildenbrand's case is just one of more than 640 cases of religious hostility cited in a new report by the Liberty Institute. General Counsel Jeff Mateer, who takes on many of these cases, helped put the survey together.

"The atheists and the secularists are well-organized and they're well-funded," the Liberty Institute attorney told CBN News. 

"The rate of hostility to people of faith is overwhelming," he said. "It's increasing. Every day, we're getting calls." -   - One call involved the Veterans Administration demanding to preview Scott Rainey's prayer for a Memorial Day ceremony at Houston National Cemetery. 

They told Rainey, who pastors the Living Word Church of the Nazarene in Houston, he couldn't pray "in Jesus' name." 

"I have never said a prayer in my life where I didn't end it saying 'in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen,'" Pastor Rainey said.

Contending for the Faith

Mateer is also working to save this veteran's memorial cross in San Diego, one of several cases that could have serious national consequences if courts order their removal.

"Are we going to bulldoze all those crosses?" Mateer asked. "We're going to sandblast God from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier?"  -   - But Mateer says the good news is, when believers fight back, they usually win. -   - "You need to stand up and fight," he said. "And that's exactly what Angela did."  -   - Just one day before Hildenbrand's graduation, an appeals court ruled she could pray and say whatever she wanted. -   - "I thank You for Your great love for us and for our great nation, where we are free," she prayed at her graduation.  "And it's in Jesus' name I pray, amen."

Courts eventually ruled that Pastor Rainey -- and all veterans at burials -- are allowed to freely express their faith. - But there is an across-the-board assault of religious hostility, and Americans' religious liberty hangs in the balance.

Thomas, Walter and Raymond's land-bound Ark certainly has dimensions on a Biblical scale, measuring a massive 450ft long and 75ft wide.

The tourists go in two-by-two: The Noah's Ark Theme Park , complete with fiberglass animals, sits in front of the Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong.

Architects appear to have used some artistic license in parts of the Ark - for instance including double-glazed windows, a fine dining restaurant and luxurious bedrooms.

Inside, real-life exotic animals can be found - including a nautilus, a toucan and reams of fish.

All lit up: The Ark shines under Hong Kong 's lights as a fiberglass giraffe stands guard near the entrance.

Authentic: Various fiberglass animals stand outside the Ark to mimic the Bible tale where Noah took creatures on board the vessel.

The Noah's Ark Theme Park is now run by Christian organizations, who use it to promote peace and unity.

Matthew Pine, manager of Noah's Ark Theme Park , said:

'They had a vision to do something remarkable, something outstanding.

'They came up with many ideas. Some of them were really outrageous.

'But then they came across this girl's drawing, and knew it would be something do-able that captured imaginations.

'So they hired architects and engineers to create the replica Noah's Ark.'

Land-bound: The Hong Kong-based Noah's Ark theme park was built in 2009 and is popular among tourists.

Matthew added: 'The reason we chose that moment in the Bible's story is because this is the message we want to bring to Hong Kong, to China, to the world.

'In our lives we always face floods, we will face trials, we will face difficulties.

'Hopefully Noah's Ark will inspire people to pass through those troubles as Noah did in his day.'

The Ark opened in May 2009, 17 years after plans were first made for the enormous structure.
