Spiritually Discerned

Dear Friends,

Greetings! In 2 Corinthians, chapter eleven, Paul exhorts his fellow Christians in the city of Corinth to be aware that there are “false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works”.

Remember how Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness using the Word of God. “If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.” Satan quoted Psalm 91, verses eleven and twelve, to try and tempt Jesus.

A couple of verses we have quoted several times in the past are 2 Timothy 3:13 and Matthew 24:24: “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

How are we to guard against the possibility of deception?

One of the most important ways of course is to know God's word. King David said: “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Psalm 119:11

Another way is calling on God to show you what is right and what is wrong. The Lord said in Jeremiah 33:3: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Of course when God does show us the truth we need to be very careful not to reject it. “Because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” Can born-again Christians be deceived? Again, Paul reproved his Christian brethren in Galatia: “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth.” Maybe to make this a little more understandable, replace the word “Galatians” with the people of any other city you can interject.

There is yet another way we tell truth from error. That is by a gift God can and wants to give to us called discernment. In 1 Corinthians, chapter twelve, there is a list of gifts God wants to give us. In verse ten, one of the gifts is called “discerning of spirits”.

We can receive this gift by simply asking God to give it to us the same as asking God for wisdom. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

What is biblical discernment and why is it important?

In its simplest definition, discernment is nothing more than the ability to decide between truth and error, right and wrong. Discernment is the process of making careful distinctions in our thinking about truth. In other words, the ability to think with discernment is synonymous with an ability to think biblically.

First Thessalonians 5:21-22 teaches that it is the responsibility of every Christian to be discerning: "But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil." The apostle John issues a similar warning when he says, "Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1). According to the New Testament, discernment is not optional for the believer-it is required.

The key to living an uncompromising life lies in one's ability to exercise discernment in every area of his or her life. For example, failure to distinguish between truth and error leaves the Christian subject to all manner of false teaching. False teaching then leads to an unbiblical mindset, which results in unfruitful and disobedient living-a certain recipe for compromise.

Unfortunately, discernment is an area where most Christians stumble. They exhibit little ability to measure the things they are taught against the infallible standard of God's Word, and they unwittingly engage in all kinds of unbiblical decision-making and behavior. In short, they are not armed to take a decidedly biblical stand against the onslaught of unbiblical thinking and attitudes that face them throughout their day.

Discernment intersects the Christian life at every point. And God's Word provides us with the needed discernment about every issue of life. According to Peter, God "has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence" (2 Peter 1:3). You see, it is through the "true knowledge of Him," that we have been given everything we need to live a Christian life in this fallen world. And how else do we have true knowledge of God but through the pages of His Word, the Bible? In fact, Peter goes on to say that such knowledge comes through God's granting "to us His precious and magnificent promises." (2 Peter 1:4).

Discernment -- the ability to think biblically about all areas of life -- is indispensable to an uncompromising life. It is incumbent upon the Christian to seize upon the discernment that God has provided for in His precious truth! Without it, Christians are at risk of being "tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine." (Ephesians 4:14).

• Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

Temple Mount Connected To Coming Blood Moon Tetrads

As I have spoken with the world’s most respected prophecy scholars over the past 12 months, I have learned that, to a person, there is a heightened sense of belief that global events not only seem torn from the pages of apocalyptic literature but truly are those foreseen by Scripture (the signs of the end times) and that they are now coming together with such precision and speed that it has several well-known Christian leaders beside themselves.

“Something is in the wind,” they say, pointing to such developments as the recent call by Jewish leaders (even in the Knesset, the legislative branch of the Israeli government) to build the Third Temple in Jerusalem; a simultaneous effort by the United States to push Israel into a peace agreement this year; political and religious leaders advocating for a single global, financial, and political authority; and even what now appears to be intentional movement by global powers that could initiate the battle of Armageddon. Please understand that within the degrading relationship and saber rattling between the United States, Russia, the European Union, and China exist the very components necessary for the final global conflict, called in Ezekiel 38 “the battle of Gog and Magog.” Ezekiel foresaw this supernatural contest occurring in the latter times after Israel would be “gathered out of many people and nations” and recognized as a nation once again. During that generation in which Israel is so reunified—which was accomplished in 1948—the Battle of Gog and Magog occurs. But if a biblical generation is approximately seventy years (see Psalms 90:10, Daniel 9) and if seven years is also needed for a coming “Peace” plan (called a “covenant” in the book of Daniel) to be enforced upon Israel, counting forward from 1948 seems to indicate these decisive events leading to the Great Tribulation and “battle of Armageddon” have already started their countdown. Ezekiel even tells us who the instigators of the battle will be—Iran (Persia), which becomes the number-one confederate with Russia (Gog) in this invasion of Israel:

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog [the Russian Federation]…and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will…bring thee forth, and all thine army…. Persia [ancient kingdom of Iran], Ethiopia, and Libya with them.” (Ezekiel 38:1–5)

This is but one example of what has prophecy scholars so alert now; that not only some BUT ALL these prophecies that were proclaimed so far in advance appear to be abruptly cascading around the world. Something frightening yet marvelous is unfolding, these experts believe, and yet there is another set of related events even more fascinating to tell you about involving “signs” in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars.

First, let me discuss the Blood Moons and their potential importance. These “signs” cannot be manufactured by men and were clearly stated as important by the apostles and prophets. For example:

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity… And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:25-28).

Then in the book of Revelation it says:

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood (Rev. 6:12).

And in Joel we read:

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come (Joel 2:31).

While many assume when God created the Sun and the Moon that He did so for light, heat, gravity, and other natural mechanisms, when looking at Genesis 1:14, we learn of four other purposes behind why the lights in the heavens were created and placed where they are. The Bible says these are for “signs,” “seasons,” “days,” and “years.”

The Hebrew word for signs in this context is owth, a word meaning a “miraculous sign,” “omen,” or “warning.” It signifies, among other things, that God created the heavenly bodies to communicate important matters at particular times to His covenant people.

The next reason God created the sun and the moon is for “seasons.” Again, in our Western mindset, we figure God is talking about winter, spring, summer, and fall. This is the farthest from the truth. In Hebrew, the word here is mow’ed and is accurately translated as “an appointed time” or “divine appointment” especially related to “sacred seasons” or Feast days. This same Hebrew word is translated into English in Leviticus 23 as “feast” where it talks about the Feasts of the Lord. At first, these two words—appointments and feasts—seem about as far apart as you can get. This is why one needs to keep the Hebrew language in perspective so as not to miss the deeper conveyances of this text. The word mow’ed implies that God has a day timer or calendar on which He keeps predetermined “appointments” with human history and that are connected with His Feasts or Holy Days. For example, in the Book of Revelation it says that the Messiah was slain “from the foundations of the world.” This means God the Father knew the year, the month, the day, and the exact time His Son would die and how this event would be played out in fulfillment of the Levitical feasts of Israel.

Finally, God declares that the sun and the moon were created to determine “days and years.” Obviously, this has nothing to do with our modern calendar, which was created by a pagan Roman ruler and is based on the sun. The Muslim calendar is based on the moon. But the biblical calendar—the one that God uses according to Genesis—is based on the sun and the moon. So when the Scripture refers to “days and years” in Genesis 1:14, it is pointing to biblical days and years or “holy days” as well as Shemittah years and Jubilee years (every seventh year the land in Israel was to rest. This is why the Jewish people went into captivity because they did not observe the seventh year. Every fiftieth year was to be a year of Jubilee when captives were set free and received their land back). When this is understood, a whole new discovery is made concerning how God created the sun and the moon and the stars as harbingers or “signal-senders” of His appointed times. This is confirmed throughout the Bible in places like the books of Joel, Isaiah, Revelation, as well as Jesus, Himself, in the Gospels confirming there would be signs in the sun and the moon and the stars that would herald the last days.

While solar and lunar eclipses are common occurrences and for the most part have no great prophetic significance, when they fall on the biblical Feast days, we should pay close attention. In Revelation 6:12, the Bible declares that the sun will become black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon as red as blood. Most scholars believe this important end-times sign is speaking of solar and lunar eclipses. The significance of a total solar eclipse or total lunar eclipse, if it happened on one of God’s Feast days would be a powerful message. Knowing this, be advised there are four total blood moons coming, back to back, right in a row, all falling on Feast days. Equally incredible is how within the very same timeframe, two solar eclipses are scheduled to arrive. Read that again and let the significance of these comments sink in. Prophetically speaking, we are talking about the equivalent of six grand-slam homeruns in a row—a mathematical improbability that stands out against the randomness of natural cycles and strongly suggests a miraculous sign or “omen” of intelligent design is coming. These “grand slam” blood moon tetrads are set to unfold between the years 2012–2016, specifically 2014 and 2015.

When examining NASA’s website, we find these specific types or strings of total eclipses are called a “tetrad” and are very rare. According to their own calculations, a similar string of four total lunar eclipses did not happen at all in the 1800s, 1700s, or even the 1600s. Amazingly, in the 1500s it happened around seven times but not once did all four eclipses fall on the Jewish Feast days. When was the last time four blood moons not only occurred back to back but fell on the Feasts? The shocking dates were 1967 and 1968 when Israel recaptured Jerusalem! What about the time before that? Right on the heels of Israel becoming a nation in May of 1948. The following two years in 1949 and 1950 again saw four blood moons on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles and then again on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles! In other words, not only were there four blood moons in a row, but all four of them fell on the Feast days that were accompanied by historically prophetic implications of divine proportions.

What does all this have to do with the future and the timespan 2012–2018? From the Books of Revelation and Joel (2:31), we understand that the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord. In Exodus (chapter 12), God told Moses that Passover (roughly March-April in the Gregorian calendar—the very time frame I am writing this letter) would be the point at which the religious year would begin. It just so happens that after the two blood moons on Passover and Tabernacles in 2014, this Jewish New Year in 2015 will be met with a total solar eclipse. Two weeks later on Passover we have the next total lunar eclipse. Then on the Feast of Trumpets, also known as Rosh HaShana, there is a partial solar eclipse followed two weeks later by the next total lunar eclipse on the Feast of Tabernacles. There will not be another such tetrad of four blood moons landing on biblical holidays this century. Keep your eyes on global events as these blood moons may well mark God’s prophetic calendar with apocalyptic scenarios falling like dominoes across the world scene in anticipation of the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Fresh Israeli provocations around Al-Aqsa Mosque threaten to explode an already tense situation while peace talks go nowhere, writes Khaled Amayreh in the Israeli-occupied West Bank

Muslim authorities in Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem have warned of dire consequences following recent Israeli measures aimed at imposing Israeli (Jewish) sovereignty at Haram Al-Sharif (the Noble Sanctuary) — the third holiest Muslim shrine — that houses the two main Muslim sanctuaries, Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

The Israeli Knesset, or parliament, last week briefly discussed a proposal to that effect. However, the discussion was suspended following a “secret warning” from Israel’s chief domestic intelligence agency, the Shin Bet, that any tampering with the status-quo at the site, which Jews call “the Temple Mount”, would spark off a huge conflagration in the region.

Nonetheless, hard line lawmakers, many from the coalition government headed by Binyamin Netanyahu, vowed to “keep up the struggle going until the Temple Mount is liberated and placed fully under Israeli sovereignty”.

The Israeli army occupied East Jerusalem from Jordan in 1967 and ever since the area has been administered by the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs.

Last year, Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Jordanian King Abdullah II reached an agreement affirming Jordanian jurisdiction over Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem. The two leaders also agreed that Jordanian administration of Haram Al-Sharif would continue “as a trust” until the end of the Israeli occupation.

Israel, however, made it clear by words and actions that it would not respect the agreement. Indeed, Israeli authorities escalated provocations against Muslim worshippers and permitted Jewish fanatics to tour the area and hold Talmudic rituals in defiance of Muslim sensibilities.

Last week, Moshe Feiglin, a member of Netanyahu’s Likud Party, toured Al-Aqsa courtyard with a heavy army and police escort. He reportedly shouted obscenities at Muslims, telling them “Go to the desert, go to Saudi Arabia.” Israeli government officials refused to condemn the provocation. Far from it, Israeli officials defended “the right of Jews to pray at the holiest spot on earth”.

IRGC Commander: Iran’s Finger on Trigger to Destroy Zionist Regime

TEHRAN (FNA)- Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami underlined that Iranian military commanders are prepared to attack and destroy the Zionist regime of Israel as soon as they receive such an order.

“Today, we can destroy every spot which is under the Zionist regime's control with any volume of fire power (that we want) right from here,” Salami said, addressing a conference in Tehran on Tuesday dubbed ‘the Islamic World's Role in the Geometry of the World Power’.

“Islam has given us this wish, capacity and power to destroy the Zionist regime so that our hands will remain on the trigger from 1,400km away for the day when such an incident (confrontation with Israel) takes place,” he added.

Salami reminded that Iran is not the only country which enjoys such a capability, as even the artilleries of a number of other (Muslim) countries can also target and attack the Zionist regime today.

In relevant remarks in November, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned Iran’s enemies to avoid even thinking of any aggressive move against the country, stressing that the Iranian Armed Forces are ready to give such a crushing response to any threat that aggressors will never forget.

Addressing 50,000 Basij (volunteer force) commanders in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the preparedness of Iran’s military forces, and said, “The response of the Iranian nation to any foreign aggression will be regrettable for the enemy.”

The Supreme Leader underlined that the increasing threats by the enemy show that the US-led western sanctions have not been effective and they have understood it themselves.

Addressing the arrogant powers, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “Instead of threatening other countries, go and deal with your wretched economic conditions and think of you debts.”

The Supreme Leader underlined that the Zionist regime has been imposed on the region, "Anything that is gained with force will not last long and this regime will not last either."

Also in December, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari underlined that Iran will give a crushing response to any possible aggressor.

Major General Jafari deplored the US president’s repeated rhetoric of “military option against Iran is on the table, as “ludicrous” and said, “Repetition of such an absurd sentence by the officials of the US and the fake and evil Zionist regime (of Israel) sounds funny to the Iranian nation.”

The IRGC commander went on to say that the US or Israeli officials are totally incapable of taking any military action against Iran, but at the same time affirmed that any “stupid measure” by the enemies would compel Iran to consider the options it has on the table.

“Lots of options are on the table for Iran, and they (enemies) will receive crushing responses, one of which would be elimination of the Zionist regime,” he warned.

‘Pirated’ Boeing 777 may return to skies as stealth nuclear weapon

Flight 370 passengers may still be alive

Exclusive investigation: The 239 people on board Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 may still be alive. This stunning realization is now supported by considerable emerging evidence detailed in this article. At the same time, the “vanished” Boeing 777 may also be in a hanger in Iran right now, being retrofitted with nuclear weapons and turned into a suicide bomb to be deployed over a major city in the Middle East. This possibility is discussed in detail, below, with supporting evidence.

The idea that Flight 370 passengers and crew may still be alive is not a bizarre theory. Even Reuters is now reporting that U.S. authorities have stated, “…it’s also possible the plane may have landed somewhere.”

Here’s the evidence in support of this emerging “piracy” theory of what may have happened to Flight 370 and why the people who may have diverted it might also be planning on turning it into a weapon:

Five critical pieces of astonishing supporting evidence that Flight 370 passengers may still be alive

Please understand that I do not wish to create false hope for all those families who have greatly suffered through this ordeal. My heart goes out to them, and we can only hope these 239 passengers and crew are, indeed, being kept alive somewhere to be used as a bargaining chip for ransom or political purposes. Here’s the substantial evidence in support of this theory:

• Fact #1: No crash debris has been located, despite an exhaustive search

The search for debris has involved over two dozen nations and is unprecedented in aviation history. If the plane had crashed in the ocean anywhere near its intended flight path, the debris almost certainly would have been located by now.

• Fact #2: The plane’s transponder appears to have been manually turned off several minutes before other communication systems stopped transmitting

As the Associated Press reports, “…key evidence for ‘human intervention’ in the plane’s disappearance is that contact with its transponder stopped about a dozen minutes before a messaging system quit.”

This almost certainly means someone deliberately disabled the transponder (the device which transmits location to air traffic controllers).

Why would someone do that? Because they don’t want to be tracked as they change course and take the plane to a new destination.

A Reuters article adds more detail:

Analysis of the Malaysia data suggests the plane, with 239 people on board, diverted from its intended northeast route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing and flew west instead, using airline flight corridors normally employed for routes to the Middle East and Europe.

This adds some evidence to the idea that the plane may have been diverted to the Middle East. Together with the suspicion of stolen passports and the identities of those who traveled with them, this starts to paint a more clear picture in support of piracy as the underlying explanation, with possible ties to Iran (see more below).

What’s especially fascinating to me in all this is that once the transponder was turned off, this massive aircraft apparently went into “stealth mode” where nobody could track it. Although this seems to defy the laws of physics and radar, we cannot argue with the fact that the plane was apparently untraceable as it flew for four hours after the transponder was turned off.

• Smoking Gun Fact #3: The plane’s engines continued to broadcast performance data to satellite for four hours after radar contact was lost

This fact is really the smoking gun in all this. The Wall Street Journal has posted an excellent investigative article revealing that Boeing’s own people have confirmed the plane kept flying four hours after disappearing off radar. As the WSJ reports:

The investigators believe the plane flew for a total of up to five hours, according to these people, based on analysis of signals sent by the Boeing satellite-communication link designed to automatically transmit the status of certain onboard systems to the ground. Throughout the roughly four hours after the jet dropped from civilian radar screens, these people said, the link operated in a kind of standby mode and sought to establish contact with a satellite or satellites. These transmissions did not include data, they said, but the periodic contacts indicate to investigators that the plane was still intact and believed to be flying.

Obviously, this system cannot continue to transmit data if the plane has crashed or exploded. The existence of these signals is very nearly conclusive proof that the aircraft continued flying and did not crash or explode. This eliminates most of the scenarios which would result in the death of passengers, and it strongly supports the piracy / hijacking scenario.

• Fact #4: The mobile devices of many passengers continued to stay online for days after the disappearance

The Washington Post has reported that phones of Flight 370 passengers were active and online for several days following the disappearance of the plane:

…a few relatives said they were able to call the cellphones of their loved ones or find them on a Chinese instant messenger service called QQ that indicated that their phones were still somehow online. A migrant worker in the room said that several other workers from his company were on the plane, including his brother-in-law. Among them, the QQ accounts of three still showed that they were online, he said Sunday afternoon. Adding to the mystery, other relatives in the room said that when they dialed some passengers’ numbers, they seemed to get ringing tones on the other side even though the calls were not picked up.

This evidence also fits the piracy theory remarkably well. If the plane was diverted and landed with passengers alive, their mobile devices could have indeed stayed online by automatically connecting to cell towers. The pirates or kidnappers may have overlooked this and failed to confiscate and destroy the mobile devices, allowing them to connect as long as they had battery life remaining.

• Fact #5: Black box transponders are not broadcasting homing signals because the plane never crashed

Normally, when aircraft crash into the ocean, their black boxes emit homing signal transmissions so they can be located. But no signals were ever detected from Flight 370 black boxes.

Now that seems to make sense: if the plane was hijacked / pirated, then it never crashed and the black boxes are still intact, sitting on the aircraft. This may be why they cannot be found (and why there is no wreckage or debris).

Could passengers still be alive?

If the plane kept flying for four more hours, then it was obviously being piloted with an intent to take it somewhere for some specific purpose. Anyone sophisticated enough to disable the transponder in-flight would have also been sophisticated enough to plan the final destination and landing of the aircraft.

As Reuters now reports:

Military radar data suggests a Malaysia Airlines jetliner missing for nearly a week was deliberately flown hundreds of miles off course, heightening suspicions of foul play among investigators, sources told Reuters on Friday.

Anyone pirating a jetliner and diverting it to another location really only has two key assets to work with: The aircraft itself, and the passengers onboard.

Obviously, acquiring a large aircraft like a Boeing 777 would be a huge asset for terrorist groups who could turn it into a weapon. If this is the intent, then the passengers on board would most likely be killed, as they would serve no particular purpose to the hijackers. Sadly, this remains one of the possible outcomes of piracy, and I don’t want to publish any false hope that might mislead families who have lost loved ones. Realistically, the odds of the passengers being alive right now are probably no better than 1 in 3, in my estimation. But that’s better than zero chance.

A second possibility is that the passengers themselves are going to be used as bargaining chips in an elaborate K&R (kidnap & ransom) scheme. It’s also possible that selected passengers have special value in some way we don’t yet realize, and only they will be kept alive as bargaining chips while the others are killed by the hijackers. Sadly, this is another likely outcome of all this.

And yet, despite all the very negative possible outcomes, there does remain a legitimate scenario in which the passengers and crew of Flight 370 remain alive at this very moment, long after their plane was diverted to an unknown location and safely landed. If this is the case, then we would expect to sooner or later hear from the hijackers with their list of demands for the safe return of the passengers. Such demands, if they ever materialize, would no doubt be multinational in nature.

On the more pessimistic side, if the hijackers only sought the aircraft and not the passengers, then we will probably never hear from them until the day a Boeing 777 flying without a transponder in “stealth mode” delivers a terrorist weapon of some sort to whatever city is being targeted.

Turning a Boeing 777 into a nuclear, chemical or biological weapon

A Boeing 777 is a very large aircraft and can obviously be outfitted with a wide variety of weapons systems by anyone with sufficient knowledge and technical skills (not to mention a soul of pure evil).

According to the Boeing website, the 777 has a “revenue payload capacity” of 112 tons, or about 102,000 kg.

With that sort of enormous carrying capacity, a Boeing 777 could be outfitted with elaborate, high-volume chemical spraying weapons, air-dropped biological weapons or of course a nuclear weapon capable of destroying an entire city. Technology also exists to remotely control large aircraft, and Iran in particular has already demonstrated its technical ability to seize control of U.S. military drones through a process of GPS-spoofing. In support of this feat, Russia just recently “electronically captured” another U.S. drone over Crimea.

Shockingly, the next time the world sees this aircraft may be when it deploys itself over a city like Tel Aviv and detonates a large nuclear weapon at altitude. The reason I deliberately choose Tel Aviv in this example is because there appears to be a possible link with Iran in all this, and the Iranian government leadership has reportedly said it wishes to see Israel wiped off the map. The elaborate nature of this aircraft piracy, if indeed this is the true explanation, also smacks of state-sponsored involvement. This is not the kind of operation that can be pulled off by a couple of yahoos trying to score some quick cash.

The fact that this aircraft was able to fly undetected for at least four hours after the transponder was turned off means the plane can very effectively be used as a “stealth” weapon of sorts, and it could theoretically be deployed over major cities across Europe, Asia, the Middle East or even North America.

Where is Flight 370 now? Pakistan, Iran both potentially in range of the landing

According to this Boeing web page, the 777 has a cruising speed of around Mach .84, or around 650 miles per hour.

If the aircraft cruised for four hours after the transponder was turned off, it could have flown nearly 2600 miles, putting it just within reach of Pakistan, and possibly even southeast Iran if it flew at a slightly higher speed and had sufficient fuel. The Iran Shahr Airport, located less than 100 miles from the border of Pakistan, is conceivably within range and sits at an altitude of around 2,000 meters. This airport has a runway length of 7,711 feet, and according to page 16 of this document on the Boeing website, the required runway length for landing a Boeing 777 is less than 7,711 feet as long as the runway is not wet. This is true even if the aircraft is fully loaded and flying at maximum weight.

The aircraft was actually designed to take advantage of shorter runways. Even Boeing itself says the 777 “uses a new semi-levered gear, which allows it to take off from fields with limited runway length.”

Thus, Flight 370 could have conceivably and successfully landed in Iran. Remember, too, that the aircraft was “using airline flight corridors normally employed for routes to the Middle East and Europe,” according to Reuters (link above).

This flight path, however, would have put it directly over India, and it is difficult to imagine the Indian government not noticing a Boeing 777 aircraft flying over its airspace without a transponder. Then again, the Malaysian government seems to have no idea where the plane went, either, and so we may be dealing with regional military incompetence on these matters, or possibly some amazing new stealth technology that was somehow deployed on the plane.

To help explain where this aircraft could have gone, I put together this flight range map, showing the possible locations where Flight 370 could have flown in the four hours after it disappeared from its intended flight path:

Notice that this range encompasses North Korea, Myanmar, Pakistan, Afghanistan and even part of Iran.

An interesting area of investigation in all this would be to find out how much fuel the aircraft was loaded with, and determining whether that fuel load could allow it to fly four or even five more hours.

Attackers 'unopposed as they shot civilians and burned down scores of homes'

The government of Nigeria is either unable or unwilling to halt attacks against Christians in the northern part of the nation, allowing a level of violence that has cost dozens of lives in just the past few weeks, according to human rights and military analysts.

International Christian Concern analyst Ryan Morgan says it appears there’s not even an attempt to prevent the deaths.

“It looks as if the Nigerian government is incapable of defending Christian villages from attack. All of the reports we’ve seen of the attacks that took place Tuesday and Wednesday indicate the Fulani herdsmen who attacked were completely unopposed as they shot civilians and burned down scores of homes.”

Experts explain that attack left 16 Christians murdered in a cluster of Christian villages in Plateau state. They were gunned down, and their houses were burned in a wave of violence that even hit at other villagers.

The latest attack follows only days after Islamic terror group Boko Haram attacked a village and killed 29. The attack was just a week after another on on a school in which more than 50 students were burned to death.

The three-week Christian casualty toll in Nigeria is nearing the 100 mark, and reports indicate as many as 300 have died since Feb 1.

Heritage Foundation Africa analyst Charlotte Florance says the issue is exacerbated by Nigeria’s structural weaknesses.

“A lot of the challenges that the military face are not just fighting an extremist insurgency, but they really lack the capability, capacity and cannot be defined as what people think of when we hear the phrase, ‘professional military.’ They are just not there,” Florance said.

“The military also lacks credibility amongst Nigerians. The human rights allegations against the military really lend to negative perceptions of the defense forces in the country. There is a lot of mistrust that plays into this conflict on both sides,” she said.

Added Morgan: “From what we’ve seen, most of the victims of these recent attacks were women and children. Christian communities in northeast Nigeria are facing a reign of terror and the Nigerian government simply must do more to protect them.”

Florance noted Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan’s Christian faith plays a role in his ability to unify the country.

“While Jonathan’s religion is important politically for his support base in southern Nigeria, the fact that he does not come from northern Nigeria or share their faith, makes his ability to really unify Nigeria a bit challenging given some of the deep-seated grievances about oil-wealth in the southern portion of the country,” Florance said.

“I do think that he needs to make some meaningful progress against the extremists if he has any shot at re-election or ensuring the political viability of his party,” Florance said, adding, “As you know it’s a complicated situation, but the military alone in Nigeria cannot defeat extremism.”

Morgan said the president needs to give protection for Nigeria’s Christians a higher priority.

“It should be the No. 1 priority today of the Nigerian government. Every other effort and government program should be set aside until security for all Nigerians is established. Even the African Union urged President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday to stop the senseless killings,” Morgan said.

Fulani herdsman are the alleged shooters in the recent attacks, but the other attacks in which more than 80 people were killed are believed to be the work of jihadist group Boko Haram. Morgan says the al-Qaida affiliate operates with impunity.

“Boko Haram’s ability to strike violently and cause a tremendous death toll is truly alarming. It does appear that President Goodluck Jonathan and the Nigerian military are stretched far beyond their capacity to respond to all of the attacks taking place or to protect civilian populations, including predominantly Christian villages and churches, from assault,” Morgan said.

“In an attack on Mafa town in Borno state on Sunday, government troops were so overwhelmed they actually fled the town, leaving Boko Haram to slaughter at least 29 civilians. Early last week 58 secondary school students in the northeast of the country were burned to death, shot, or had their throats slit by Islamic militants suspected to be connected with Boko Haram,” he said.

Morgan said the “death toll is simply horrific.”

“It appears that outside forces are going to have to become involved if there is going to be any real hope of stopping Boko Haram’s onslaught. Christian churches are often the most vulnerable targets, being much easier to attack then military compounds or police stations,” Morgan said.

Analysts say a Boko Haram leader’s statement to the press inspired the latest wave of violence. Jihadist leader Abubakar Shekau said Boko Haram enjoys the killing because the victims are “infidels,” and he urged his followers to continue the attacks.

The statement said:

My brethren … you should hold on to your weapons and continue fighting. Let them understand that our work is not confined to Yobe, Borno and Adamawa (states). Make them understand that we are not restricted by emergency rule. They should understand we are under the canopy of Allah.

This is the beginning. Yes, this is the beginning. We … are fighting Christians wherever we meet them and those who believe in democracy, those who pursue Western education wherever we meet them. By Allah, we will kill whoever practices democracy,” Shekau said in his statement to the press.

Later in the same statement, Shekau said: “All these infidels, we are the ones killing them. We enjoy shedding their blood. The Quran must be supreme, we must establish Islam in this country; not only in Borno, we will henceforth destroy any schools wherever we see them.”

Statements from Shekau indicate that Boko Haram is gaining in power and influence in Nigeria. Florance believes it’s likely that Boko Haram will not be defeated.

“I don’t think the insurgents are going away anytime soon and as long as perceived political grievances remain, economic opportunities are limited, and lawless ungoverned space flourishes, groups like Boko Haram will continue to exist and gather recruits. Extremist groups are in these types of conflicts for the long haul, they think in decades and we think in years,” Florance said.

She also believes that Nigeria’s status as a developing nation is hindering progress in ridding the country of armed insurgent movements.

“Nigeria may now be the largest economy in sub-Saharan Africa, but it remains in a dire developmental state. You see some of the highest levels of corruption and a serious lack of any meaningful attempt to increase transparency in the government further compounded by one of the most complex informal/illicit economies on the continent,” Florance said.

“God’s Work” is Killing Babies?

Is it “God’s Work” to kill the unborn? President Obama seemed to say so recently.

Steven Ertelt wrote an article, “Obama Says His Pro-Abortion Supporters are ‘Doing God’s Work,’” for lifenews.com (2/26/14).

Ertelt notes, “At an event in Washington last night, President Barack Obama told his liberal, pro-abortion supporters who are members of his political group Organizing for Action that they are ‘Doing God’s Work.’”

This reminds Ertelt of a time when speaking to Planned Parenthood, Obama “asked God to bless the number one abortion performer in the United States.”

Said Barack Obama, “Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.”

Really? May God bless the efforts of Planned Parenthood, which is in the business of destroying His creation? Which God? Certainly not the God of the Bible.

I remember years ago on my radio show, I interviewed Dr. Richard Land, then an official of the Southern Baptist denomination. Today he heads the Southern Evangelical Seminary in the greater Charlotte area of North Carolina.

The gist of his comment (which was said when NAFTA and CAFTA were in the news) is that the Lord might allow people of good will to have different opinions when it comes to some questionable political issues. But there are some issues that are very clear in the Bible. One of these is abortion.

Dr. Land said, “I’m not sure if God Almighty necessarily has an opinion on NAFTA or CAFTA [trade agreements involving North and Central America], but I am convinced that Jesus Christ does have an opinion on the sanctity of life issue.”

There certainly are differing nuances in various political issues. We can find well-meaning Christians holding all manner of different positions related to fine points of partisan politics. But the deliberate destruction of the unborn is in a category all by itself.

King David the Psalmist wrote famously, “For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, because I am fearfully and wonder-fully made. Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.”

He adds, “When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, says this in the very opening of his book: “The word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.’ [this is God talking] ‘Before you were born, I set you apart. I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’”

So, here’s this little unborn baby being appointed a prophet of the nations.

Jump ahead to the New Testament. In Luke 1, it says that when Elizabeth, who was pregnant with John the Baptist, and Mary, who was pregnant with Jesus, met together: “As soon as the sound of your [Mary’s] greeting, reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.”

Well, as the late Dr. D. James Kennedy once pointed out, clumps of tissue don’t leap for joy; babies leap for joy. And the Greek word that’s used there in that text is brephos, and brephos is the same word for baby, born or unborn.

But Planned Parenthood makes millions and millions of dollars killing the unborn. They share some of that money with politicians who do their bidding.

Though it is frequently ignored now, Planned Parenthood is a direct result of the eugenics (“good birth”) movement in America. Its founder, Margaret Sanger, believed in removing what she called “the dead weight of human waste.”

Dr. George Grant, author of the classic book, Grand Illusions: The Legacy of Planned Parenthood, observes: “That’s why Margaret Sanger would say, things like: ‘Our purpose is to raise up a new race of thoroughbreds.’ She talked about eliminating ‘human weeds.’”

So when people invoke God’s blessing for the destruction of unborn babies---even if they hold the highest office in the land (or the world?)---whatever god they may be speaking of, it’s certainly not the God of the Judeo-Christian Scriptures.

Crimea parliament declares independence from Ukraine ahead of referendum

The parliament of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has adopted an independence declaration from Ukraine which is necessary for holding a March 16 referendum.

“We, the members of the parliament of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the Sevastopol City Council, with regard to the charter of the United Nations and a whole range of other international documents and taking into consideration the confirmation of the status of Kosovo by the United Nations International Court of Justice on July, 22, 2010, which says that unilateral declaration of independence by a part of the country doesn’t violate any international norms, make this decision,” says the text of the declaration, which was published by the Crimean media.

The document was adopted during an extraordinary session of parliament.

78 of 100 members of the parliament voted in favor of the declaration.

The Crimean parliament’s vote to become an independent sovereign state paves the way for the March 16 referendum for the Crimean Autonomous Republic and the city of Sevastopol to join Russia.

If the referendum is in favor, the Crimean authorities will request for their country to become a constituent republic of the Russian Federation.

The declaration was signed by the speaker of the Supreme Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, and the head of the Sevastopol City Council, Yury Doynikov.

“We adopted the declaration of independence to make the upcoming referendum legitimate and transparent,” Konstantinov said.

“Now we declare ourselves the Republic of Crimea, we don’t add ‘autonomous."

After Tuesday’s declaration of independence, Crimea will never rejoin Ukraine, Konstantinov added.

“Crimea won’t be a part of Ukraine even if the ousted president, Viktor Yanukovich, returns to power,” he said. “The country where we lived doesn’t exist anymore. We are going our own way and we’re trying to do it quickly.”

Konstantinov said that Crimea will adopt the Russian ruble as its currency soon after the referendum.

Meanwhile, Crimean authorities are preparing for Sunday’s poll, says the speaker of the Supreme Council of Crimea. He reiterated that he believes the referendum will be passed.

“The ballots for the referendum are being printed and the election committees are being formed in all parts of Crimea," he says.

Seventy-seven percent of people in Crimea and Sevastopol will vote to join Russia in the March 16 referendum, according to the poll conducted by Crimea Republican Institute of Political and Sociological Research.

Eighty-five percent of people in Sevastopol, a city with a special status located on the Crimean peninsula, believe that it should join Russia.

According to the poll, 97 percent of the population of Sevastopol and Crimea negatively view the situation in Ukraine regarding the Kiev coup-imposed government, while 84 percent say that Ukraine is experiencing a crisis.

A total of 83 percent of the population of Crimea disapprove of the coup-appointed government in Kiev, the poll found.

Speculation was growing last night that American mercenaries had been deployed to Donetsk after videos emerged of unidentified armed men in the streets of the eastern Ukrainian city.

At least two videos published on YouTube earlier this week show burly, heavily armed soldiers with no insignia in the city, which has been gripped by pro-Moscow protests.

In one of the videos onlookers can be heard shouting 'Blackwater! Blackwater!' as the armed men, who wear no insignia, jog through the streets.

Russian-speaking city in east Ukraine which has been the scene of large protests against the country's new regime

Donetsk was this week the scene of civil unrest as pro-Russian elements among its citizens seized control of the regional administration headquarters and another government building.

Yesterday thousands of people gathered in the city centre waving Russian flags and calling for a referendum to determine the status of the strategically important coal-mining region.

Both the videos which purport to show 'Blackwater' mercenaries in Donetsk were uploaded last Monday, with their descriptions written in Russian.

The context of the videos is not clear, but it appears that the armed men had turned up at a street protest against the new regime. They wander around brandishing their weapons before suddenly fleeing the scene as passers-by shout 'Blackwater! Blackwater!'

Since the videos emerged, Twitter has been alive with speculation that mercenaries linked to Blackwater, now known as Academi, are active in Ukraine, helping to prop up the embattled new pro-western government.

And a Russian diplomat in Kiev told the Interfax news agency on Wednesday that 300 employees of private security companies had arrived there.

'These are soldiers of fortune proficient in combat operations. Most of them had operated under private contracts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other states,' the source said. Interfax reported that the diplomat did not disclose the nationalities of the mercenaries but said, 'Most of them come from the United States'.

Asked whether the soldiers seen in the videos could be from Academi, Dr Nafeez Ahmed, a security expert with the Institute for Policy Research & Development, said: ‘Difficult to say really. It's certainly not beyond the realm of possibility - Academi have been deployed in all sorts of theatres.

'I think the question is whether the evidence available warrants at least reasonable speculation.

‘On the face of it, the uniforms of the people in the videos are consistent with US mercs - they don't look like Russian soldiers mercs. On the other hand, why run around in public making a show of it?’

He added: ‘Of course the other possibility is it's all Russian propaganda.’

Any suggestion that a U.S. mercenary outfit like Academi had begun operating in the country could give Russian president Vladimir Putin the pretext for a military invasion.

The Russian parliament, the Duma, has already voted to give Putin the authority to take action in the country, where the pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych was last month ousted after mass protests in the capital, Kiev.

Pro-Russian forces have already seized control of the southern Ukrainian province of Crimea, although the Kremlin denies that the thousands of heavily armed, well-equipped men that have appeared there are under its control.

Last month a report in the Daily Beast claimed that 'informed sources' in Moscow had said the troops belong to Vnevedomstvenaya Okhrana, a private security contracting bureau similar to Academi that is close to the Kremlin.

The videos which emerged this week come amid reports in Russian media which claimed that 300 'strong' men had arrived at Kiev's Boryspil airport carrying military-style bags.

Reports speculated that they were being sent to regions in eastern and southern Ukraine where Russian-speaking and ethnic Russian groups posed a secessionary threat to the new government.

Blackwater was founded in 1997 by former U.S. Navy SEAL Erik Prince and were one of several private security firms employed by the U.S. government to protect its diplomatic missions overseas.

With the outbreak of the Iraq war in 2003 the company's operations expanded and its revenue mushroomed, but a string of controversial killings by its personnel led to a rebranding, first to Xe and then to Academi, its current name.

As well as acting as security contractors, Blackwater are seen by some as a private army that can promote U.S. interests without official military involvement.

Technically they are a multinational company and can by hired by anyone, but the board of directors includes a number of U.S. establishment figures including John Ashcroft, the former Attorney General, and former NSA chief Bobby Ray Inman.

If Blackwater are present in Ukraine, it would make most sense for them to be deployed in the country's east and south, where pro-Russian protesters raised the Russian flag over the regional parliament last Saturday.

It remained in place until Thursday when Ukrainian police regained control of the building without any resistance.

Donetsk, home city of deposed president Yanukovich, has seen the most persistent pro-Moscow demonstrations in a wave of protests that have erupted across southern and eastern cities.

On one level, the struggle over Ukraine is a deadly US/EU/Russian game of territory, involving governments, intelligence agencies, corporations, and banks.

But at a higher level, as usual, sit the elite Globalist players. And their motives are different. They see every conflict as an opportunity to negotiate the aftermath.

And that negotiation produces a codified structure of cooperation between the enemies that is larger than the previous structure.

For example, there were banks and corporations (Standard Oil, ITT, IBM, etc.) who were aiding both sides in WW2. And in the aftermath, a much larger market for goods (Europe-US) was created.

The US government, in its European rebuilding efforts, made sure of that.

Post WW2, Europe itself started on the road toward creating the current European Union, which is a vast bureaucracy that sits over the entire continent.

This is the Globalist principle: instigate conflicts, in order to build larger cooperative structures in the aftermath. And control those cooperative structures.

That way, you put more people, land, resources, and labor under the umbrella.

There is only one exception. If either of the conflicting parties, in the aftermath, refuses to build those cooperative bridges, the Globalist scheme doesn’t work.

So, vis-a-vis the Ukraine conflict, if Russia or the US, in the aftermath, says no to building new cooperative structures (either out in the open, or behind closed doors), that “defector” is now a Globalist target for further chaos and destabilization.

Until it relents and joins the Club.

Above the saber rattling and angry accusations, and characterizations of “a new Cold War,” Ukraine is a pawn in the Globalist game of bringing Russian and US power players into closer accord—kicking and screaming, if necessary.

In accord, but not in a good way. In a Globalist way.

Because the Globalist agenda is a planet of One Nation, where all borders are ultimately erased, and the ruling class of money and corporate power and political torque is enthroned.

This program is neither Left nor Right. It hides behind exacerbated conflict between Left and Right.

It engenders a reality in which Left vs. Right appears to be the only political game in town.

But it isn’t the only game.

You could call the Globalist agenda socialism, Communism, fascism, corporatism, liberal, conservative, and other names. And each one of those names would contain a kernel of truth. But in fact, Globalism is simply Control. From above. Period.

Yes, there must be certain issues on which the Left and Right disagree. There must be differences. And these issues must be hot. Hot enough to rally supporters who scream at each other across the barricades.

Because that is the kind of distraction Globalism needs to do its methodical work in secret.

If Ukraine follows the blueprint, at the end of the conflict, the US and Russia will be seething at each other. And then…a mediating figure will appear, perhaps from the Rockefeller camp.

And in a private meeting, he will say, “Boys, cool down. We have a plan. And in this plan, everybody wins. You’ll all go home with something. Look. Look at this. And this. And this.”

The peacemaker.

And then the new structure of cooperation will be larger than the previous structure.

And it will look good.

But the motive behind it will be: the taking of yet another step in the direction of welding together Planet Earth in one vast management system.

At the top of which sit the rulers.

As David Rockefeller wrote in his 2003 Memoirs:

Chairman Of Joint Chiefs: US Ready For “Military Response” In Ukraine

With diplomacy having failed miserably to resolve the Russian annexation of Crimea, and soon East Ukraine (and with John Kerry in charge of it, was there ever any doubt), the US is moving to the heavy artillery. First, moments ago, the US DOE announced in a shocking announcement that it would proceed with the first draw down and sale of crude from the US strategic petroleum reserve, the first since June 2011, in what it said was a “test sale to check the operational capabilities of system infrastructure“, but is really just a shot across the bow at Putin for whom high commodity prices are orders of magnitude more important than how the Russian stock market performs. And now, as Bloomberg just reported, the US has escalated even further, citing the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, who “has claimed that in the case of an escalation of unrest in Crimea, the U.S. Army is ready to back up Ukraine and its allies in Europe with military actions.”

So much for those peaceful hour long phone calls between Obama and Putin.

According to the Web site of the Atlantic Council, Dempsey said that “he’s been talking to his military counterparts in Russia, but he’s also sending a clear message to Ukraine and members of NATO that the U.S. military will respond militarily if necessary.”

“We’re trying to tell [Russia] not to escalate this thing further into Eastern Ukraine, and allow the conditions to be set for some kind of resolution in Crimea. We do have treaty obligations with our NATO allies. And I have assured them that if that treaty obligation is triggered [in Europe], we would respond,” Dempsey said.

According to the General, the incursion of Russian troops into the Crimea creates risks for all the countries of Europe and NATO allies.

“If Russia is allowed to do this, which is to say move into a sovereign country under the guise of protecting ethnic Russians in Ukraine, it exposes Eastern Europe to some significant risk, because there are ethnic enclaves all over Eastern Europe and the Balkans,” Dempsey said.

And with that, the USDJPY ramp takes the pair to overnight highs, and futures are set to go green. BTFWWIIID!

More seriously, the real question is how Putin will react to this quantum escalation in verbal hostilities: wild guess here, but somehow we doubt he will pick up and leave.

Russian Neighbor Belarus Asks To Host Another 15 Russian Fighter Jets In Response To NATO Escalation

With NATO actively building up its airforce support in Poland and the Baltic states in recent days in a flashback to cold war military escalation and deterrence, and even launching AWACS planes over Poland and Romania to monitor the Ukraine crisis and "enhance the alliance's situational awareness," the inevitable has finally happened, and other Russian neighbor states, ones not alligned with the military treaty, have escalated in turn only this time the are showing their allegiance not to the west but to Russia.

Moments ago RIA reported that Minsk will "adequately react to the strengthening of NATO forces near the borders of Belarus, and will offer to host up to an additional 15 Russian aircraft, according to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Wednesday at a meeting of the Security Council of Belarus.

"Belarus is adequately reacting to the strengthen the forces of NATO near the borders of Belarus" - the president said. He added that "Belarus will offer to host up to an additional 15 Russian Federation aircraft in connection with the activity of NATO."

Which, it goes without saying, plays precisely into Putin's intentions all along: force all of Russia's neighbors to reveal their allegiance, and since virtually all would have to pick Moscow (see what happened in Ukraine), set the stage for the grand reincarnation of the Soviet Union.

In the meantime, while the G-7 and everyone with a microphone, continues to warn Russia not to annex Crimea, which now seems a done deal, Ukraine's PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk, whose cash-strapped nation needs as much as $15 billion in loans, will meet President Barack Obama later today. And as if to aid Putin's plans even further, First Deputy Premier Vitaliy Yarema told the government in Kiev that Russian forces continue to be deployed along Ukraine’s eastern border and are “constantly increasing their presence,”

Logically, the western response will be to beef up NATO forces even more, which in turn will force nations like Belarus to self-annex themselves to Russia by demanding even more Russian troops in their nations, allowing Putin to serially, and peacefully, to takeover the former USSR nations one by one until the empire rebuilding effort is complete.

Venezuela burns as anti-government protests continue in Caracas

This is not Ukraine, it’s Venezuela. While the world has been focused on a missing plane, violent clashes have set the country’s capital on fire.

Student protesters have clashed with soldiers in the streets of Caracas again today, as three more fatal shootings raised the death toll to 25 as a month of demonstrations against Venezuela’s socialist government intensifies.

Around 3000 supporters and opponents of Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro took to the streets of the country’s capital to mark one month since the protests erupted.

Students threw stones and petrol bombs while security forces fired teargas and turned water cannons on them.

There were similar opposition protests in the cities of San Cristobal, Merida and Valencia.

The demonstrations have been fuelled by public discontent over deteriorating living conditions in the oil-rich South American country, where violent crime, shortages and inflation have combined to create the most serious challenge yet for leftist President Nicolas Maduro.

Local student Jesus Acosta, 20, was shot in the head near his home while civilian Guillermo Sanchez, 42, died of a bullet wound after he was also shot outside his home.

Bolivarian National Guard Captain Ramso Ernesto Bracho Bravo died in clashes in the nearby city of Naguanagua.

Local media said Acosta, 20, reported that he was not participating in protests at the time.

Since the protests began, opposition leaders and students, as well as government authorities, have accused each other of backing radical groups that attack demonstrations with firearms.

PROTESTERS ‘LOOKING FOR TROUBLE’

The Caracas march had not been approved by authorities, with Maduro saying the demonstrators were simply looking for trouble. The president announced this week he was banning any protests in the centre of the capital as long as the opposition refuses to hold talks with the government.

But the students turned out anyway, chanting slogans and demanding the release of protesters detained in earlier demonstrations.

Turkey's Erdogan threatens to ban Facebook and YouTube

Turkish prime minister issues threat after political rivals post audio recordings allegedly exposing corruption in his inner circle.

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has threatened to ban Facebook and YouTube in Turkey in an attempt to stop political foes anonymously posting audio recordings purportedly exposing corruption and other malpractices in his inner circle.

In the latest recording, released on YouTube late Thursday, Erdogan is purportedly heard berating a newspaper owner over the telephone about an article and suggesting the journalists be sacked, in comments that will further stoke concerns over media freedom and Erdogan's authoritarian style of leadership.

Erdogan, who rejects any accusations of corruption, blames U.S.-based Turkish Muslim preacher Fethullah Gulen, a former ally, for the wiretaps which he says have been "fabricated". Gulen, who denies any involvement, has many followers in Turkey, especially in the police and judiciary.

"We are determined on this subject. We will not leave this nation at the mercy of YouTube and Facebook," Erdogan said in an interview with Turkish broadcaster ATV aired late on Thursday.

"We will take the necessary steps in the strongest way," he said, adding that these would come after municipal elections in Turkey set for March 30.

Asked if a ban on these sites could be included among the planned measures, he said: "Included, because these people or institutions encourage every kind of immorality and espionage for their own ends."

There was no immediate reaction from Facebook or YouTube.

Turkey banned YouTube for more than two years until 2010 after users posted videos the government deemed insulting to the republic's founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

Turkey's communications minister appeared to defend the putative bans.

"We see insults against a country's prime minister and president, the uploading of illegal videos - and we're supposed to be at ease with this? ... Whatever is a crime in the real world is also a crime in the virtual world," the Dogan news agency quoted Lutfu Elvan as saying on Friday.

Turkey recently tightened government control of the Internet saying it wanted to defend privacy. Erdogan's critics said the new law was a further bid to hush up allegations of high-level graft flooding social media and video sharing sites.

Erdogan says the postings are part of a campaign to discredit him and wreck his government, which has presided over more than a decade of strong economic growth and rising living standards in NATO-member Turkey.

He says fragments of tapped conversations have been fitted together in a 'montage' giving a false and misleading impression of their content.

'Dishonorable'

Five more recordings have appeared on YouTube this week alone, part of what Erdogan sees as a campaign to sully his ruling Islamist-rooted AK Party before the March 30 local elections and a presidential poll due later this year.

Reuters has not been able to verify the authenticity of the recordings.

In Thursday's audio posting, Erdogan is portrayed taking to task businessman Erdogan Demiroren after his newspaper Milliyet published on its front page about a year ago an article on the sensitive issue of peace talks with Turkey's Kurdish rebels.

"Would you keep someone who would do something dishonorable in your office, would you keep them there for another hour?" the voice presented by the anonymous poster as that of the prime minister asks.

"No, we wouldn't," replies Demiroren, who later in the conversation bursts into tears, apparently upset at coming under pressure from the prime minister to sack two of his journalists.

The AK Party, which remains far ahead of its rivals in opinion polls despite the corruption scandal, denies exerting undue influence over the media, but journalists, rights groups and the European Union - which Turkey aspires to join - have long accused the government of curtailing press freedoms.

In another recording this week, Erdogan purportedly urges his then-justice minister to speed up a court case against a media magnate who belongs to a secular elite which has often had tense relations with the Islamist-rooted government.

A Turkish official told Reuters that data and logs related to digital recordings from before 2012 had been deleted in the database of Turkey's state telecommunications authority TIB.

It was not clear what had happened to the recordings but pro-government media reports said they had been copied and deleted by Gulen's followers.

Statistics and information from before 2011 on how many people had been listened to had also been deleted. The official said this made it impossible to produce evidence for court cases related to those recordings.

According to figures he provided, some 250,000 people were wiretapped in 2011, 583,000 in 2012 and 607,000 in 2013.

[...] The whistleblower says mistakes are made weekly, and contaminated water leaks into the Pacific Ocean every day. [...] The insider says the damaged reactors can never be decontaminated and that people should not be moved back into the no-go zone, a 20-kilometre exclusion area around Fukushima.

Senior Tepco staffer at Fukushima Daiichi: “There are too many systems and they all have problems. For example, too many water tanks with too many lines – it’s very difficult to operate. It’s made worse because all the experienced workers have reached their radiation limits, so TEPCO has to rely on staff that don’t know the site and who aren’t trained. [...] The other day when contaminated water overflowed from a tank, an alarm was ringing but they didn’t go and check. I couldn’t believe it. It was ringing for nine hours and they thought the alarm was out of order. [...] I feel it is impossible to fix before my death. We just don’t have the technology to fix it. It currently doesn’t exist. We just can’t deal with the melted fuel.”

Interview with Japan’s former Prime Minister Naoto Kan, Mar. 11, 2014: the night of that first day of March 11, what I was being told, being reported, was that the water levels were safely above the level of [...] fuel rods [...] however, now we know that actually the measuring equipment to measure the water level was broken at that time. Only 4 hours after the earthquake occurred [...] it experienced meltdown in the reactor one. And even through the container of thickness 20 centimeters, there was actually a hole being burned through, and melted fuel had been actually leaking through to the outside of the container. And now we know this information, that this was happening at 7:00 p.m. approximately on that day. But at the time, none of this information was accurately conveyed to me. And this was actually the first incident of an accident where a hole in the pressure container had been created. [TMI's reactor] wasn’t gone to the extent of actually having a hole in the container and leaking through in this way. So the Fukushima accident was the first accident to actually melt down in this kind of way. And it was a situation very close to what we call perhaps the “China syndrome.”

Carlsbad Current-Argus, Mar. 10, 2014: Four more employees at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant have tested positive for elevated levels of radiation over the weekend. The Department of Energy announced that fecal samples taken from employees at the nuclear waste facility found 17 workers tested positive for low levels of radiation. After initial testing more than a week ago, the DOE reported 13 workers tested positive for trace amounts americium and plutonium. [...]

Newly declassified FBI, U.S. intel files raise startling questions

WASHINGTON – Everyone knows Adolf Hitler committed suicide by gunshot in his underground bunker on April 30, 1945.

At least, that has been the conventional wisdom.

Examining declassified FBI and U.S. military intelligence files, Corsi makes a compelling case that U.S. investigators suspected from the beginning Hitler had escaped. For political purposes, the evidence indicates, they were willing to go along with the cover story that in the final days of World War II, Hitler married his mistress, Eva Braun, and the two took their lives in a joint-suicide ritual just before the Soviet army entered Berlin.

But the truth is, no one actually saw Hitler commit suicide. There are no photographs documenting a joint suicide of Hitler and Eva Braun, and the bodies of the two were never recovered or preserved for positive identification.

In 2009, Corsi pointed out, Nicholas Bellatoni, the Connecticut state archaeologist, was allowed by the Russian Federation State Archive in Moscow to examine skull fragments the Russians have claimed for decades are proof Hitler committed suicide.

Bellatoni’s startling findings prompted Corsi to investigate further.

“What caused me to question Hitler’s suicide was Bellatoni’s DNA analysis that proved conclusively the skull fragments belonged not to Hitler, but to a 40-year-old woman unrelated to Eva Braun,” Corsi said.

In “Hunting Hitler,” Corsi posits Hitler made his way to Argentina with the help of U.S. intelligence agents that had been secretly working with the Nazis since 1943. Allen Dulles, then an agent of the Office of Strategic Services, or OSS, the predecessor agency to the CIA, was communicating secretly with top Nazis from his office in Bern, Switzerland, Corsi said.

Corsi brings to light many troubling questions, including:

• Why were the Americans unable to obtain physical evidence of Hitler’s remains after the Russians absconded with his body?

• Why did both Stalin and Eisenhower doubt Hitler’s demise?

• Why did nobody in Hitler’s bunker hear any shots fired?

• Did U.S. intelligence agents in Europe, including the OSS and Allen Dulles (who later headed the CIA under President Eisenhower), aid Hitler’s escape, as they did with so many other Nazis?

• Argentinean media reported Hitler arrived in the country and it continued to report his presence. Why have the findings not made it to the US?

Corsi relies on autopsy reports, interrogation transcripts, documents from Soviet archives, CIA reports, extensive research in the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, D.C., and in College Park, Md., and more to back up his case.

Did U.S. intelligence help Hitler get away?

His evidence is shockingly abundant, and his clear argument lends credence to a new theory that disembowels the double-suicide narrative.

“The story Hitler and Eva Braun committed suicide was a cover story, designed by U.S. intelligence agents at the end of World War II to facilitate the escape not only of Hitler and Eva Braun, but also of top Nazi war criminals such as Adolf Eichmann who was discovered in 1960 hiding in Argentina,” Corsi argued.

He presents documentary evidence Allen Dulles’ wartime mission in Switzerland included helping Martin Bormann, Hitler’s secretary, to funnel billions of dollars of Nazi ill-gotten financial gain out of Germany and invest in the U.S. and Argentinian stock markets to provide a financial cushion to survive in hiding after the war.

In the National Archives at College Park, Corsi discovered a clipping from the U.S. military newspaper “The Stars and Stripes” published Oct. 8, 1945, reporting a shocking statement made by General Dwight D. Eisenhower, then the supreme commander of the Allied Forces.

The short piece read: “There is ‘reason to believe’ that Hitler may still be alive, according to a remark made by Gen. Eisenhower to Dutch newspapermen. The general’s statement reversed his previous opinion that Hitler was dead.”

Corsi asks why Eisenhower’s shocking claim has gone largely unreported in U.S. newspapers and history books even until today.

Was Hitler on the U-530?

Tracing Hitler’s escape route, Corsi found in the National Archives documentary evidence Hitler got to Argentina in a German submarine, the U-530 that mysteriously surfaced outside the harbor at Mar del Plata under the command of Otto Wermuth and his executive officer, Karl Felix Schuller, after having spent weeks making surreptitious drops of passengers along Argentina’s Atlantic shore.

Hidden away in the National Archives, Corsi found a U.S. naval intelligence report written July 18, 1945, by the Naval Attaché in Buenos Aires who notified Washington there was reason to believe U-530 had landed Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun in the south of Argentina before the submarine journeyed on to surrender at Mar del Plata.

Corsi had newspaper reports translated of Hitler and Braun being welcomed by wealthy Nazi sympathizers among Argentina’s large German community. The Germans there had constructed a mansion hidden away in the dense mountain forests of Bariloche to provide the Nazi führer with comfort and security in his elder years.

Corsi writes: In 1943, architect Alejandro Bustillo, at the request of German supporters of Hitler then living in Argentina, designed and constructed an elaborate resort residence for Hitler and Eva Braun, Residencia Inalco, located in a remote area between San Carlos de Bariloce Villa La Angostura, bordering the Nahuel Haupi Lake, outside the city of Bariloche, in the province of Río Negro, Argentina.”

In southern Argentina in the region of the Andes adjoining Chile, he writes, “the surroundings and the Hitler residence were selected and designed to have a distinct feel of Hitler’s Obersalzberg retreat above the town of Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps. Hitler moved into the residence in June 1947.”

Newly Found Megalithic Ruins In Russia Contain The Largest Blocks Of Stone Ever Discovered

An incredible discovery that was recently made in Russia threatens to shatter conventional theories about the history of the planet. On Mount Shoria in southern Siberia, researchers have found an absolutely massive wall of granite stones.

Some of these gigantic granite stones are estimated to weighmore than 3,000 tons, and as you will see below, many of them were cut “with flat surfaces, right angles, and sharp corners”. Nothing of this magnitude has ever been discovered before. The largest stone found at the megalithic ruins at Baalbek, Lebanon is less than 1,500 tons. So how in the world did someone cut 3,000 ton granite stones with extreme precision, transport them up the side of a mountain and stack them 40 meters high? According to the commonly accepted version of history, it would be impossible for ancient humans with very limited technology to accomplish such a thing. Could it be possible that there is much more to the history of this planet than we are being taught?

For years, historians and archaeologists have absolutely marveled at the incredibly huge stones found at Baalbek. But some of these stones in Russia are reportedly more than twice the size. Needless to say, a lot of people are getting very excited about this discovery. The following comes from a Mysterious Universe article…

Alternate history buffs are about to be whipped into a frenzy! OK, maybe not, but they will find this interesting.

An ancient “super-megalithic” site has been found in the Siberian Mountains. Found recently in Gornaya Shoria (Mount Shoria) in southern Siberia, this site consists of huge blocks of stone, which appear to be granite, with flat surfaces, right angles, and sharp corners. The blocks appear to be stacked, almost in the manner of cyclopean masonry, and well…they’re enormous!

Russia is no stranger to ancient megalithic sites, like Arkaim or Russia’s Stonehenge, and the Manpupuner formation, just to name two, but the site at Shoria is unique in that, if it’s man-made, the blocks used are undoubtedly the largest ever worked by human hands.

When I say that this is a new discovery, I am not kidding. In fact, the very first expedition to study these stones happened just a few months ago. Prior to this expedition, there were no known photographs of these megalithic stones.Archaeologist John Jensen is mystified by these ancient ruins, and the following is an excerpt from a post on his personal blog…

The super megaliths were found and photographed for the first time by Georgy Sidorov on a recent expedition to the Southern Siberian mountains. The following images are from Valery Uvarov’s Russian website.

There are no measurements given, but from the scale depicted by the human figures, these megaliths are much larger (as much as 2 to 3 times larger) than the largest known megaliths in the world. (Example: The Pregnant Woman Stone of Baalbek, Lebanon weighs in at approximately 1,260 ton). Some of these megaliths could easily weigh upwards of 3,000 to 4,000 tons.

Another very unusual thing about these stones is that they caused the compasses of the researchers to start behaving very strangely.

Some events that were happening during the autumn expedition could probably be called mystical. The compasses of the geologists behaved very strangely, for some unknown reason their arrows were deviating from the megaliths. What could this mean? All that was clear was that they came across an inexplicable phenomenon of the negative geomagnetic field. Could this be a remnant of ancient antigravity technologies?

Of course much more research needs to be done on this site.

Nobody knows who cut these stones or how old they are.

Jensen believes that they come from a time “well back into the mists of pre-history”…

These megaliths reach well back into the mists of pre-history, so far in fact, that conjecture about their ‘builders’, methods, purpose and meaning is pure speculation, and as such, I would hesitate to offer any observation at all, other than to say our pre-historical past is richer than we ever dreamed.

These stones are likely to remain an unsolved mystery for a very long time.

But what is abundantly clear is that according to the commonly accepted version of history they should not be there.

And of course this is far from the only site around the world that contains massive megalithic ruins. Perhaps the most famous are the megalithic ruins at Baalbek, Lebanon…

The ancient city of Baalbek is one of the greatest archaeological mysteries of all time. Located east of the Litani River in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, Baalbek is world famous for its exquisitely detailed yet monumentally scaled Roman temple ruins. In Roman times, Baalbek was known as Heliopolis (after the sun god) and it contained some of the largest and most notable Roman temples ever built. In fact, the Romans had constructed an extraordinary temple complex in Baalbek consisting of three separate temples – one for Jupiter, one for Bacchus and one for Venus. But what these Roman temples were built on top of is much more important. These Roman temples were actually built on top of an ancient 5 million square foot platform that was made from some of the largest stones ever used in any construction project in the history of the earth. In fact, the largest stone found near the Baalbek ruins weighs approximately 1200 tons and is about 64 feet long. To put that in perspective, that is the equivalent of approximately 156 full size African elephants.

How people in ancient times were able to move such massive stones is a complete mystery. In fact, these giant construction stones were stacked so closely together that you can’t even fit a piece of paper between many of them. Many of the architectural feats found at Baalbek cannot even be duplicated with 21st century technology.

So how did they do it?

How did they move such massive stones to create a structure of such intricate precision?

Keep in mind that the base of the Baalbek ruins alone weighs approximately 5 billion tons.

Evidence continues to mount that very sophisticated technology was used in the ancient world.

These megalithic ruins are undeniable reminders of highly advanced ancient civilizations.

So who were they and what happened to them?

Could it be possible that they were wiped out by a massive global cataclysm such as a global flood?

Within the past few years mainstream science is catching on to the fact that yes, consciousness is correlated and can have a direct affect on what we call our physical material world.

Experiments over the past four decades have investigated whether human intention alone affects the properties of water.(1) This question has been of interest to alternative medicine research, because the human body is made up of approximately 70% water. Interest in this topic has been rekindled recently by multiple researchers suggesting that intentionally influenced water can be detected by examining ice crystals formed from samples of that water. Scientists have hypothesized and shown that water influenced by intention can indeed influence the physical formation of the observed ice crystals from that water. Consistent results commonly point to the idea that positive intentions tend to produce symmetric, well-formed, aesthetically pleasing crystals, and negative intentions tend to produce asymmetric, poorly formed and unattractive crystals.

The experiment I’m using in this article was conducted by Dean Radin, Ph.D., who is the Chief Scientist at IONS and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Psychology at Sonoma State University. The experiment was done to measure how intention alone affects water crystal formation. Co-Investigators were Masaru Emoto, a Japanese energy scholar and author along with a few other researchers and scientists.

The experiment tested the hypothesis that water exposed to distant intentions affects the aesthetic rating of ice crystals formed from that water. Basically, it tested whether intentions could influence the physical structure of water (as mentioned earlier). Over a period of three days, approximately 2000 people in Austria and Germany focused their intentions towards water samples that were placed inside an electromagnetically shielded room in California. Other samples were located outside of the shielded room so that they could act as a distant control. Ice drops formed from multiple samples of water in different treatment conditions were photographed by a technician. Each image was assessed for aesthetic beauty by over 2,500 independent judges and the results of the data were analyzed by individuals who were blind with respect to the treatment conditions.

Results showed that the test was consistent with a number of previous studies suggesting that intention may be able to influence the structure of water.

One of the previously mentioned studies was conducted in the 90′s, by Masaru Emoto, co-participant in the study used in this article. He came up with the idea to freeze water and observe it with a microscope. At first, he observed crystals of tap water, river water and lake water. From the tap water he could not get any aesthetically pleasing crystals that were unique in design, not even from rivers or lakes that surrounded big cities. However water from rivers and lakes away from development, produced crystals in which each had its own uniqueness, and were very aesthetically pleasing.

The results from this earlier study (among others) also showed that the shape and physical structure of water crystals changed after giving good words, playing good music and showing, playing or offering pure prayer to the water. Disfigured crystals were also observed when creating the opposite situation.

If thoughts can do this to water, imagine what they can do to us? Our bodies are primarily of made up of water, approximately 70 percent. If positive emotions, words and feelings can change the physical structure of water, that means that ‘self-talk’ has a direct affect on the biology of your being. Numerous studies beyond this one show how our thoughts, feelings and emotions, the things we can’t see, are primary drivers of our biological systems. The Institute of Heartmath, along with many others have proved this time and time again. Even in quantum physics, matter at it’s smallest observable level is simply pockets of energy, vibrating at a certain frequency. All we are is beings of energy, frequency and vibration. In order to change physical structure using consciousness, we have to understand that our thoughts, emotions and feelings are directly correlated with the frequency that matter (our being) vibrates at. If you change the vibrational frequency of matter, you change physical reality.

So next time you are feeling negative emotions, or feeling negative thoughts, just remember that you are having a physical impact on your biological system. Your cells, everything that makes up your physical body is always responding to you. So be nice to yourself, give yourself some love.
