I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.”
(Ecclesiastes 10:7)

Servants Upon Horses

Dear Friends,

Greetings! “The devil, taking him (Jesus) up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.” (Luke 4:5-7)

If the world today does not 'seem' right, it is because it is 'not' right. Generally speaking, the people who are in control today, are in control because they have accepted the offer that Jesus refused.

When looking at the world today, for some it can become quite disheartening, seeing the extreme injustice, wondering if it will ever be able to be made right. Let me assure you from the Word, records are being kept and someday soon, an account will have to be given.

In the book of Jude, verses fourteen and fifteen, Jude, quotes a prophecy that was given by Enoch: “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

The books of Genesis and Hebrews also have scriptures referring to Enoch; “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” (Genesis 5:24) and; “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” (Hebrews 11:5)

'Wikipedia' has this to say concerning the book of Enoch: “The Book of Enoch (also 1 Enoch) is an ancient Jewish religious work, traditionally ascribed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. It is not part of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and Eritrean Orthodox Church, but no other Christian group.

A short section of 1 Enoch (1 En 1:9) is quoted in the New Testament (Letter of Jude 1:14-15), and is there attributed to "Enoch the Seventh from Adam" (1 En 60:8). It is argued that all the writers of the New Testament were familiar with it and were influenced by it in thought and diction.”

The reason for bringing up the book of Enoch is because of prophecies concerning the aforementioned problem of the extreme injustice that exists in the world today. Enoch prophesied concerning this situation and made it very clear that the situation will be corrected.

“Woe to you who acquire silver and gold in unrighteousness and say: "We have become rich with riches and have possessions; And have acquired everything we have desired.

And now let us do what we purposed: For we have gathered silver, And many are the husbandmen in our houses." And our granaries are (brim) full as with water,

Yea and like water your lies shall flow away; For your riches shall not abide But speedily ascend from you;

For ye have acquired it all in unrighteousness, And ye shall be given over to a great curse.

That all your evil deeds are revealed in the heavens, And that none of your deeds of oppression are covered and hidden.

And do not think in your spirit nor say in your heart that ye do not know and that ye do not see that every sin is every day recorded in heaven in the presence of the Most High.

From henceforth ye know that all your oppression wherewith ye oppress is written down every day till the day of your judgement. Woe to you who build your houses through the grievous toil of others.

And into darkness and chains and a burning flame where there is grievous judgement shall your spirits enter; And the great judgement shall be for all the generations of the world. Woe to you, for ye shall have no peace.

Say not in regard to the righteous and good who are in life: "In our troubled days we have toiled laboriously and experienced every trouble, And met with much evil and been consumed, And have become few and our spirit small.

And we have been destroyed and have not found any to help us even with a word: We have been tortured and destroyed, and not hoped to see life from day to day.

We hoped to be the head and have become the tail: We have toiled laboriously and had no satisfaction in our toil; And we have become the food of the sinners and the unrighteous, And they have laid their yoke heavily upon us.

They have had dominion over us that hated us and smote us; And to those that hated us we have bowed our necks But they pitied us not.

We desired to get away from them that we might escape and be at rest, But found no place whereunto we should flee and be safe from them.

And are complained to the rulers in our tribulation, And cried out against those who devoured us, But they did not attend to our cries And would not hearken to our voice.

And they helped those who robbed us and devoured us and those who made us few; and they concealed their oppression, and they did not remove from us the yoke of those that devoured us and dispersed us and murdered us, and they concealed their murder, and remembered not that they had lifted up their hands against us.

I swear unto you, that in heaven the angels remember you for good before the glory of the Great One: and your names are written before the glory of the Great One.

Be hopeful; for aforetime ye were put to shame through ill and affliction; but now ye shall shine as the lights of heaven, ye shall shine and ye shall be seen, and the portals of heaven shall be opened to you.

And in your cry, cry for judgement, and it shall appear to you; for all your tribulation shall be visited on the rulers, and on all who helped those who plundered you.

Be hopeful, and cast not away your hopes for ye shall have great joy as the angels of heaven.

And now fear not, ye righteous, when ye see the sinners growing strong and prospering in their ways: be not companions with them, but keep afar from their violence; for ye shall become companions of the hosts of heaven.” Taken from Enoch chapters 97-99, and 103-104.

God knows, and soon the situation will be corrected.

“If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.” (Ecclesiastes 5:8)

Ready for Doomsday: Buying asteroid-proof bunkers, killing their pets and planning mass suicide, the families convinced this ancient calendar predicts the world will end in 2012

By TOM LEONARD

Deep inside a secret room buried for eons within an ancient stone temple in Mexico, something dark and terrible has finally stirred.

Or so the doomsayers, with their vivid imaginations, would have you believe.

The sands of time are running out for the world and not even Indiana Jones can save us now.

The end? The Aztec Mayan calendar that predicts the world will end in December

The astrological alignments and numerological formulae cannot be wrong: on December 21 this year, the apocalypse foretold 5,125 years ago by the ancient Mayans will come to pass and the world will end.

Of course, it's fair to say predictions of Armageddon are two a penny.

Harold Camping, an American radio preacher, got thousands of followers worked up when he predicted the Second Coming of Jesus Christ on May 21 last year.

When that didn't happen, he said the world would end on October 21. And then he quietly retired from his radio show.

But the '2012 phenomenon' -- as it is commonly known to its legions of internet followers -- is different.

For the Mayans, a famously wise and advanced civilisation which was at its height between 250 and 900AD in the present-day Mexican state of Yucatan and Guatemala, have grabbed everyone's attention.

The evidence boils down to one simple fact: their 5,125-year calendar -- the one used across Central America before the arrival of Europeans -- runs out on December 21 this year.

The point is that the Mayans were noted for their extraordinary astronomical observations and mathematical powers.

And if they didn't think it worth taking their calendar beyond December 2012, they must have had a reason.

Ancient: The stone temple that houses a secret room home to astrological theories in Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico

Public concern is so high that NASA, the U.S. space agency, even has a section debunking the theories of impending doom on its website.

The agency says it has taken more than 5,000 questions from people, some asking if they should kill themselves, their families or their pets.

Archaeologists who have studied the Mayans have been downplaying the apocalypse theories, insisting that the only surviving Mayan reference to any dreadful significance attached to December 21, 2012, was contained on a single ancient stone tablet found at ruins in Tortuguero, southern Mexico, in the 1960s.

According to an inscription on the tablet, a fearsome Mayan god of war and creation may 'descend' from the sky on the appointed day.

But then, a few weeks ago, archaeologists had to admit they had found a second piece of evidence -- a 1,300-year-old carved brick fragment at a temple ruin in nearby Comalcalco.

The brick, now kept in a vault at Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History, has an inscription on its face which also refers to the date.

The fact that the face of the brick was probably laid facing inward or covered with stucco -- suggesting it was not meant to be seen by the Mayan population who visited the temple -- has only added to the hysteria of modern doom-mongers.

Scientists insist there is no dire threat on the horizon, while Mayan experts stress that the ancient civilisation's legacy has simply been misinterpreted.

'Nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012,' says NASA on its website in the reassuring tones of a parent dealing with a frightened toddler.

'Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than four billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.'

Of course in these conspiracy-obsessed times, there are thousands of cynics who are not convinced.

A mural at Antigua's Casa Santa Domingo Convent is a replica of one at the ancient site at Bonampak, Mexico

David Morrison, senior scientist at the NASA Astrobiology Institute, said he had been receiving about ten emails a day from worried members of the public who are 'seriously, seriously upset'.

A young woman from Denmark wrote to him saying: 'Mother of one daughter and another coming.

Yesterday I was considering killing myself, the baby in my stomach and my beloved two-year-old daughter before December 2012 for fear of having to experience the Earth's destruction.'

Another, a 13-year-old American, wrote: 'I am considering suicide. I am scared to tears . . . I don't want to live any more, I deserve an explanation.'

A third wrote: 'I am so scared. My only friend is my little dog. When should I put her to sleep so she won't suffer when the Earth is destroyed?'

Worried Americans are rushing to buy everything from £17 survival guides to £32,000-per-person places in bunkers that are marketed as being both nuclear bomb and asteroid-proof.

Robert Vicino is a Californian businessman who is building the luxury bunkers in secret locations. His website asks: 'What if the prophecies are true? Which side of the door do you want to be on?'

He says that he has more than 5,000 Americans booking places, and is now building bunkers in Europe.

Steve Cramer, one man who has reserved his place, insists: 'We're not crazy people: these are fearful times. My family wants to survive. You have to be prepared.'

Jason Hodge, a father-of-four who also counts himself a 'future survivor', to use the jargon of the apocalypse industry, adds: 'It's an investment in life.

Archaeologists who have studied the Mayans have been downplaying the apocalypse theories over the years. Picture: Mayan ruins at Hochob, Campeche, Mexico

'I want to make sure I have a place I can take me and my family if that worst-case scenario were to happen.'

But it's not just America. Mayan apocalypse converts have started flocking to Bugarach, a tiny hilltop town in the foothills of the Pyrenees.

The 200-strong local community has had to contend with 20,000 visitors since the start of last year, and the French government is worried about the threat of mass suicides.

Believers say a magnetic force surrounds the town's 'mystical' mountain where the top layers of rock are older than the lower ones.

(Geologists say that soon after the mountain was formed, it exploded and the top flew into the air, before landing upside-down).

People claim the magnetic force will protect them from the apocalypse to come.

'Three large spacecraft will arrive at Earth'

Others who have flocked to Bugarach insist the mountain is a gateway to another dimension and may contain a secret alien base.

Unhelpfully, the Mayans did not specify exactly what would happen when the world ends. But that hasn't stopped believers from letting their imaginations run riot.

Many of their 2012 doomsday scenarios involve astronomical phenomena -- a rogue planet hitting Earth, fierce solar storms, a galactic alignment in which the Sun's gravitational effect combines with that of a huge black hole to create havoc. The gloomiest think we may get all three.

A particularly popular theory is that a rogue planet called Nibiru is lurking behind the Sun and will collide with the Earth next December, destroying it. Some believe this rogue body is Eris, a dwarf planet orbiting beyond Neptune.

The idea of a planet creeping out from behind the Sun and smashing into Earth provided the depressing backdrop to last year's Lars von Trier film Melancholia, starring Kirsten Dunst and Kiefer Sutherland.

Another theory, also involving the Sun, predicts that a huge solar flare -- called a 'solar max' -- will destroy the Earth.

This notion has already inspired Hollywood in the 2009 disaster blockbuster 2012, in which the flare caused catastrophic earthquakes. The film also made reference to the Mayan calendar.

Sacred: Mayan priests prepare for a cleansing ceremony at the ruins of Iximche in the town of Tecpan, Guatemala

Finally, no apocalypse would be complete without at least one alien invasion.

This time last year, reports emerged suggesting the U.S. Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) had detected three large spacecraft due to arrive at Earth in 2012. SETI rejected the claims, to which those who wanted to believe the reports replied: 'Well they would, wouldn't they?'

Another alien theory doing the rounds among conspiracy theorists is that the authorities will stage a fake extra-terrestrial invasion at next year's closing ceremony for the London Olympic Games so they can declare martial law and introduce a new world order.

Academics and scientists dismiss all of these theories as wild hysteria, of course.

But the fact is that Mayan scholars have been bickering for years over what the end of the Long Count Calendar actually signifies.

The Mayan calendar began in 3,114BC -- believed by Mayans to be when the current 'world order' was created -- and progresses in 144,000-day cycles (a little more than 394 years) known as baktuns.

The 13th (a sacred number for Mayans) baktun runs out on the 2012 winter solstice, December 21. After that date, the 'Great Cycle' is completed and the calendar sequence simply ends.

In 1957, respected Mayan scholar and astronomer Maud Worcester Makemson wrote that the completion of a 'Great Period' of 13 baktuns would have been 'of the utmost significance to the Maya'.

Nine years later, in 1966, Michael Coe, another prominent Mayan anthropologist and a former CIA agent, went much further and concluded there was a 'suggestion' among the Mayans that the final day of the Great Cycle would see 'Armageddon overtake the degenerate peoples of the world and all creation' and 'thus our present universe would be annihilated'.

Artwork: A Mayan sculpture installed near a beach in Tulum, Mexico

Experts had tended to agree with Coe's interpretation until about a decade ago when the academic world started to insist the Mayans had meant nothing of the sort.

The Mayans believed the end of the 13th baktun would indeed be significant, say academics now, but in a good way.

There will simply be another cycle and it will be a cause for celebration not desperation.

This optimistic message has been championed by many in the New Age movement, which is obsessed by the idea that cultures such as the Mayans had a secret spiritual knowledge that we might tap into if only we knew where to look.

Whatever the truth, hundreds of books have already been published on the subject, not to mention dozens of television programmes and films.

For the most reliable indication of the future, we should perhaps head for the heart of Mayan territory in south-eastern Mexico.

There, locals aren't running for the hills at all, and don't seem worried.

In fact, quite the reverse. After suffering years of a tourist industry badly hit by the violence of warring drug cartels, they are looking forward to an economic boom.

Mexico's tourism agency hopes the 2012 phenomenon will draw 52 million visitors to the region -- more than twice the number the whole country normally receives.

And the town of Tapachula, on the Guatemalan border, has already started a countdown to December 21 on a giant digital clock in its main park.

Quite what will happen on the day it runs out remains the subject of feverish debate around the world.

U.S. wants to 'close down the Central Bank of Iran' over nuclear concerns

Agence France-Presse

Jan 12, 2012 - - -

WASHINGTON -- The latest round of American sanctions are aimed at shutting down Iran's central bank, a senior U.S. official said Thursday, spelling out that intention directly for the first time.

"We do need to close down the Central Bank of Iran (CBI)," the official told reporters on condition of anonymity, while adding that the United States is moving quickly to implement the sanctions, signed into law last month.

The sanctions, broadly aimed at forcing Tehran to shift course on its nuclear program, targeted Iran's crucial oil sector and required foreign firms to make a choice between doing business with Iran or the United States.

Foreign central banks that deal with the Iranian central bank on oil transactions could also face similar restrictions under the new law, which has sparked fears of damage to U.S. ties with nations like Russia and China.

"If a correspondent bank of a U.S. bank wants to do business with us and they're doing business with CBI or other designated Iranian banks... then they're going to get in trouble with us," the US official said.

The measures were contained in a mammoth $662-billion defence bill, which President Barak Obama signed on December 31 at a time of rising tension with Tehran, which has threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz -- through which more than a third of the world's tanker-borne oil passes.

The United States has warned it will "not tolerate" such an interruption.

There are fears that increased sanctions on Iran's central bank could force the global price of oil to suddenly soar, and actually give Tehran a financial windfall on its existing oil sales.

Rising oil prices could also crimp the fragile economic recovery in the United States and inflict pain on American voters in gas stations -- at a time when Obama is running for reelection next year.

Iran Decides to Close Hormuz if Oil Exports Blocked

Kurt Nimmo - Infowars.com -

January 8, 2012

Ali Ashraf Nouri, a senior commander in Iran's Revolutionary Guard, told Khorasan daily on Sunday that the Iranian government has decided to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Persian Gulf if the country's oil exports are blocked.

Also on Sunday, Iranian Army Commander Brigadier General Habibollah Sayyari said Iran can block the Strait of Hormuz "easily."

The threat comes as the European Union prepares to embargo Iranian oil at the end of the month in response to Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program.

It was reported last week EU foreign ministers will likely to agree to block Iranian oil imports at a meeting in Brussels on January 30. Working groups are negotiating the details of how the embargo will be imposed, said an official.

Following Nouri's comments, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told CBS News that if Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz the U.S. military will respond.

"We made very clear that the United States will not tolerate the blocking of the Straits of Hormuz," Panetta told CBS television. "That's another red line for us and that we will respond to them."

General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Iran has the ability to close the waterway. "But we would take action and reopen the Straits," he warned.

Panetta also said that Iran is laying the groundwork for making nuclear weapons. "We have common cause here" with Israel, he said. "And the better approach is for us to work together."

Strait of Hormuz powder keg: US-Israel to meet Great Prophet?

Published: 6 January, 2012

With tensions around the Strait of Hormuz sky-high, Iranian plans to conduct the country's "greatest naval war games" could coincide with joint US-Israeli exercises in the Persian Gulf. With both sides taking positions, could a real battle be looming?

Hopefully the massive exercises will remain just that. But with three armies on the playing board, one spark could be enough to ignite an all-out war.

Iran, which recently held a 10-day naval exercise near the Strait of Hormuz to demonstrate its military prowess, is now planning new, 'massive' naval drills codenamed The Great Prophet.

The drills will be carried out by the country's elite Revolutionary Guard, which has its own air, naval and ground forces separate from those of the regular military.

On Thursday, the semiofficial Fars news agency quoted the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's naval commander, Admiral Ali Fadavi, as saying the next round of war games would be "different" from previous ones, AP reports.

However, on the same day, an Israeli military spokesman speaking under condition of anonymity said his country was gearing up for the largest joint missile defense exercise ever held with the United States.

The drill, called "Austere Challenge 12," is scheduled to take place in the upcoming weeks. Its primary purpose is to test multiple Israeli and US air defense systems, especially the "Arrow" system, which the country specifically developed with help from the US to intercept Iranian missiles.

Perhaps more alarmingly to the Iranian leadership, thousands of US troops will be deployed to Israel in support of the drill.

While the Israeli military claims the latest exercises are unconnected with recent events, Martin Van Creveld, a military historian at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, said the drill would be used to gain leverage over Iran.

"Defending against an attack is not something that you improvise from today to tomorrow. It's something you have to prepare, you have to rehearse... This, among other things, is an exercise to show Iran, the people in Tehran, that Israel and the United States are ready to counterattack," AP cites him as saying.

But Jamal Abdi of the National Iranian American Council in Washington told RT the actions of America and Israel are not merely preventative.

"We're getting closer and closer to war with Iran. Anybody who argues that this extraordinary confluence of events  - the planned exercises by the US and Israel, the exercises that Iran was doing in the Persian Gulf, we have sanctions in place with no diplomacy  - the only way that that ends is through confrontation," he said.

Tensions in the region have soared since the Islamic Republic threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz - through which one sixth of the world's oil passes - in response to Western plans to ban oil imports from Iran.

And following Washington's decision Saturday to approve sanctions targeting the country's oil Industry over Tehran's alleged secret nuclear weapons program, the game of brinkmanship being played by all sides could push the entire region over the edge.

Gerald Celente: EU Collapses In 90 Days, Bank Holiday and War

January 4th, 2012

Dominique de Kevelioc de Bailleul: Twenty-two months of hysteria of an impending European financial collapse, starting with Greece in March of 2010, will finally come to an end in 2012, according to the founder of Trends Research Institute, Gerald Celente.

Hysteria of the horrid possibility of a European meltdown and the dire implications for the world economy a collapse will end, as the event finally turn into unequivocal reality by April 1, with accusations of 'fear mongering' by a significant portion of the mob quickly dropped in favor of the next predictable reaction to the crisis: outrage against those who allowed the collapse.

"I would say, since I've been doing this work, over 30 years ago, I've never been more concerned than I am right now," Celente told ABC, Australia.

In Celente's latest forecast, titled, The First Great War of the 21st Century--Prepare, Survive, Prevail, he paints a bleak picture for 2012, predicting a worsening of class warfare that already wages within more than a dozen countries, from Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Bahrain and Qatar to the UK, Greece and Italy, which will eventually spread to eastern Europe/central Asia and more intensely in the United States.

But, what the world has seen so far is only a economic and social symptom of central bankers' stop-gap remedies, haphazardly applied to the global financial crisis since its beginning in the U.S. and the fall of Bear Stearns in 2008.

After dozens of trillions of dollars thrown at a global solvency crisis with nothing but further deterioration to show for the money spent, some wonder if the world is about to slide still further into depression.

According to Celente, when the European Union falters from too much supply of debt coming due ($7.3 trillion from G-7 nations, see zerohedge.com) against the backdrop of sliding demand for more debt, the European domino will topple other dominoes, widening the global depression to include the world's larger economies.

"If you live in Greece, you're in a depression; if you live in Spain, you're in a depression; if you live in Portugal or Ireland, you're in a depression," Celente said. "If you live in Lithuania, you're running to the bank to get your money out of the bank as the bank runs go on. It's a depression. Hungary, there's a depression, and much of Eastern Europe, Romania, Bulgaria. And there are a lot of depressions going on [already]."

And as far as a Chinese riding in on a white horse to save the day, Celente said, it's "highly unlikely. China has 1.3 billion people with a million problems . . . If the Europeans and Americans don't buy a lot of crap, then the Chinese can't make it and sell it to them."

He continued to explain that China will then likely slow its imports of materials from countries which have been supplying mined product during the commodities boom, leading to a vicious spiral of increased unemployment and declining economic activity--a scenario strongly intimated by Dow Theory Letters author Richard Russell in his latest letter to investors (excerpts posted on King World News). Russell, too, expects a steepening U.S. depression, with 25 percent unemployment in America as his target at the bottom of the depression.

"This whole thing is connected," Celente explained. "China isn't going to have the money to throw around to losers anymore than loan shark would give a gambler who can't pay his old debts back and has a bad gambling habit another loan to gamble . . . They [Chinese] have their own problems to deal with."

How bad will the next leg down in the world economy likely to be? Could Russell be right? Celente believes a comparison with the 1930s is a good one. He continued, " . . . you can even listen to Christine Lagarde, the head of the International Monetary Fund, or I like to fondly call it, the International Mafia Federation--the loan sharks of last resort--even she's saying what we've been saying now for three years about the parallels between the Crash of 1929, the Great Depression, currency wars, trade wars, world war.

"The Panic of '08; you have the Great Recessions--Great Depressions going on. Oh, by the way, real estate prices in the United States, they're at a steeper decline than they were during the Great Depression. Foreclosures continue to mount. It's taking people over 40 weeks, who lose jobs to find another job, and then finding one at a fraction of what they lost the old one at."

And as history demonstrates, when horrible economics overwhelm a society, political leaders search for a means of generating national jingoism to redirect the angry mob. That search for political safety usually turns to war.

"So then you look at the trade wars that they're now talking about," Celente said. "And, as I said, when you add them up, you have the beginnings of a great war going on already. Oh, and now, they're talking about, hey, we did such a great job in Iraq and Afghanistan, why don't we bomb Iran? Have you heard the presidential candidates of the United States, with the exception of Ron Paul, that all want to go to war against Iran? So you can see where it's going.

"You have psychopaths that have caused a lot of these problems that are giving the answers to how to solve them by adding more violence and criminality on top of old violence and criminality."

Celente said the kickoff to a global meltdown and a call to war could "spiral out of control" some time "by the first quarter of 2012" as the European crisis worsens to the point of a crack up. "There's no way to bail out the European nations," Celente said forcefully.

And the build up to social unrest, calamity and possible civil war can be seen a mile away, said Celente, who segued into another one of the trends he sees for 2012: Safe Havens (escaping the United States).

"They just passed a law in the United states, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)," he said. "It now gives the president the right to identify a person like me and call me a terrorist and that I'm against the government. And the military can come and break down my doors--the military--and arrest me, charge me with nothing, give me no trial, no rights of habeas corpus, no jury, no judge, and they can kill me if they so choose, torture me; they can send me to any country around the world."

Celente advises preparing now for a quick route out of the United States if a bank holiday (a prediction of his) is called. The ramifications of a dollar devaluation aren't clear, but an enacted NDAA, FEMA camp readiness and scheduled TSA checkpoint expansion plans suggest the U.S. may enter a crisis on par with the lead up to the U.S. Civil War of 1861-5.  Also see BER article, Gerald Celente Forecast 2012, FEMA Prepares for Dollar Collapse

DO WHAT WE WANT OR YOU'RE OUT! EU GIVES HUNGARY SHARP ULTIMATUM

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has come under pressure from the EU

Thursday January 12,2012

By Emily Fox

HUNGARY was given a sharp reminder of its position within the EU last night after the European Commission gave the country its final ultimatum.

The EU has threatened to withdraw any essential IMF aid to Hungary if it does not agree to change key methods in how the country is run. - - Hungary is currently facing the threat of legal action from the EU over its finances. - - The unprecedented warning by the European Commission, the E.U.'s executive arm, came in response to the passage of a new constitution and a number of laws at the end of last year by the Hungarian PM Viktor Orban. - - The PM removed checks and balances on the government in areas like central banking, the judiciary and the media and has also failed to act to control the country's deficit. - - - Olli Rehn, the E.U. commissioner for economic and monetary affairs, warned that Hungary faced the possible suspension of valuable E.U. development assistance unless it did more to control its budget deficit. - - IMF Chief Christine Lagarde is set to meet with Hungarian minister Tamas Fellegi with a mandate for the country to accept stricter funding deals than Budapest originally wanted. - - Analyst Attila Juhasz at think tank Political Capital said: "The EU Commission position shows that there will be no negotiations whatsoever about any kind of (financial) support as long as the Hungarian government fails to meet these requirements.

- "Trying to sell an about-face to his camp still looks like a more sensible option for Orban than entering an unpredictable situation with the country possibly becoming unable to finance itself by the spring." - - The current struggle with Hungary comes at an inconvenient time for Europe with the IMF and EU leaders struggling to control the debt crisis. - - Hungary must roll over nearly 5 billion euros worth of external debt this year while its bond yields are stuck at over 9 percent. -

'If you don't take a job as a prostitute, we can stop your benefits'

By Clare Chapman

3Jan 2005

A 25-year-old waitress who turned down a job providing "sexual services'' at a brothel in Berlin faces possible cuts to her unemployment benefit under laws introduced this year.

Prostitution was legalised in Germany just over two years ago and brothel owners - who must pay tax and employee health insurance - were granted access to official databases of jobseekers.

The waitress, an unemployed information technology professional, had said that she was willing to work in a bar at night and had worked in a cafe.

She received a letter from the job centre telling her that an employer was interested in her "profile'' and that she should ring them. Only on doing so did the woman, who has not been identified for legal reasons, realise that she was calling a brothel.

Under Germany's welfare reforms, any woman under 55 who has been out of work for more than a year can be forced to take an available job - including in the sex industry - or lose her unemployment benefit. Last month German unemployment rose for the 11th consecutive month to 4.5 million, taking the number out of work to its highest since reunification in 1990.

The government had considered making brothels an exception on moral grounds, but decided that it would be too difficult to distinguish them from bars. As a result, job centres must treat employers looking for a prostitute in the same way as those looking for a dental nurse.

When the waitress looked into suing the job centre, she found out that it had not broken the law. Job centres that refuse to penalise people who turn down a job by cutting their benefits face legal action from the potential employer.

"There is now nothing in the law to stop women from being sent into the sex industry," said Merchthild Garweg, a lawyer from Hamburg who specialises in such cases. "The new regulations say that working in the sex industry is not immoral any more, and so jobs cannot be turned down without a risk to benefits."

Miss Garweg said that women who had worked in call centres had been offered jobs on telephone sex lines. At one job centre in the city of Gotha, a 23-year-old woman was told that she had to attend an interview as a "nude model", and should report back on the meeting. Employers in the sex industry can also advertise in job centres, a move that came into force this month. A job centre that refuses to accept the advertisement can be sued.

Tatiana Ulyanova, who owns a brothel in central Berlin, has been searching the online database of her local job centre for recruits.

"Why shouldn't I look for employees through the job centre when I pay my taxes just like anybody else?" said Miss Ulyanova.

Ulrich Kueperkoch wanted to open a brothel in Goerlitz, in former East Germany, but his local job centre withdrew his advertisement for 12 prostitutes, saying it would be impossible to find them.

Mr Kueperkoch said that he was confident of demand for a brothel in the area and planned to take a claim for compensation to the highest court. Prostitution was legalised in Germany in 2002 because the government believed that this would help to combat trafficking in women and cut links to organised crime.

Miss Garweg believes that pressure on job centres to meet employment targets will soon result in them using their powers to cut the benefits of women who refuse jobs providing sexual services.

"They are already prepared to push women into jobs related to sexual services, but which don't count as prostitution,'' she said.

"Now that prostitution is no longer considered by the law to be immoral, there is really nothing but the goodwill of the job centres to stop them from pushing women into jobs they don't want to do."

Pensioners 'will work into 70s'

Press Association, Sunday January 8 2012

Many of tomorrow's pensioners will become self-employed consultants, online traders or run odd-job businesses to make ends meet in retirement, according to research.

A generation of "Wearies" - Working, Entrepreneurial and Active Retirees - could be forced to work into their 70s and beyond due to the looming pensions crisis.

It will result in the traditional image of the pensioner relaxing in old age changing completely as many will simply not be able to afford to retire, experts say.

Effectively ruled out of employment by age, they will instead set up their own businesses, according to the study for Friends Life by think-tank Future Foundation.

More than half (51%) of those already retired said they would be prepared to do part-time work to boost their pensions, the research found.

But the figure jumped to three-quarters (75%) among those who are yet to retire.

Of those still working, 89% said they would be prepared to work part-time, run firms, start trading online or live with others to supplement their incomes.

Martin Palmer, head of corporate benefits marketing at Friends Life, said: "We're expecting the traditional image of the pensioner with slippers and rocking chair to change completely.

"Many will not have saved adequately for a secure retirement and, with years of fiscal austerity taking their toll, by 2020 many people in their 70s simply will not be able to afford to give up working.

"Necessity is the mother of invention and 'Wearies' will be among the most innovative and entrepreneurial contributors to the UK economy, despite their senior years."

The Banking Backstory Behind Friday The 13th

J.G. Vibes

Activist Post

The unlucky Friday the 13th is one of the most well-recognized superstitions in the Western world.  This tradition is over 700 years old and has a very interesting origin.

During the 12th century there was a massive religious war that consumed most of Europe and Asia.  Europeans referred to these times as "the crusades".  This war lasted centuries and allowed an elite class of knights to accumulate so much power and wealth that their influence rivaled both the monarchy and the church.  The knights of the temple of Solomon, or more commonly known as "The Knights Templar" were the most influential political force of their time.  They were the world's first international bankers and were the corporate giant of the middle ages.

The Templar Knights were a military force throughout the entire crusades, but didn't become a strong political organization until they were given diplomatic immunity by the church in 1126.  Their close relationship with the church was unusual for the time, as the lifestyle of a knight was usually associated more with the monarchy.  The Knights Templar represented both the warrior and the priest, and were often referred to as the "fighting monks".  This best-of-both-worlds diplomacy allowed the knights to form their own political dynasty that transcended the established powers of the time.  They did not have to abide by the same rules as the church or the monarchy, but they had the advantage and privileges of both institutions.

During the crusades it was rumored that the Templars studied alchemy and discovered forbidden knowledge on their journeys.  This would not be the first time that this has happened in history, it is actually quite common for conquerors to return home with ancient artifacts, just like Napoleon did with the Rosetta Stone, for example.  Some say that instead of offering their discoveries to museums, the Templars kept the artifacts and knowledge within their own order.  This is all speculation and legend, but what we do know for certain is that the Templars were sneaky businessmen and became the world's first multinational bankers.

They had most of the known world caught in a complex pyramid scheme that is eerily similar to the scams that are being run by international bankers today.  They collected taxes for protecting trade roads, bankrolled both sides of all the wars and exploited the massive peasant class and used them as workhorses to build their fortunes.  Through these shady practices the knights ended up having more money than the monarchy and the church combined.  Both the church and the monarchy were deeply in debt to the Templars from loans they had taken out, so one would be able to argue quite easily that the Templars were the most dominant political institution of the time.

Eventually the monarchy grew very threatened by the immense power of the Knights Templar.  The person to finally take action against the Templars was King Phillip the 4th of France.  Since the Templars were under the protection of the church, King Phillip needed papal permission to overthrow them.  In order to get this blessing Phillip covertly murdered two popes in less than a year until a candidate of his choice was in power.  With all the necessary steps taken King Phillip made his move.

On the morning of Friday, April 13, 1307 there was a surprise raid on all of the Templar offices.  The knights were being arrested on over a hundred different counts of heresy and treason . . . and confessed after being brutally tortured. After a short, rigged trial the Templars were sentenced to burn at the stake.  The Grand Master of the Knights Templar cursed the king and pope before he was executed, and, synchronistically, both died within the year.

It is said that a fleet of Templar warships managed to escape France the night before the raids, and continued to control world events from behind the scenes.  They apparently did this by changing their names and moving to various different parts of the known world.  In fact, it is said by many that the Templars who managed to escape the Inquisition fled to Switzerland where they reestablished their international banking cartel.

Obama Administration Reportedly Plans to Create Internet ID for All Americans

Published January 08, 2011

- Jan. 7: President Obama talks about the latest reports showing a decline in the unemployment rate as he highlights his economic policies in a speech on the factory floor of the Thompson Creek Window Company in Landover, Md.

President Obama is putting plans in motion to give the Commerce Department authority to create an Internet ID for all Americans, a White House official told CNET.com.

White House Cybersecurity Coordinator Howard Schmidt told the website it is "the absolute perfect spot in the U.S. government" to centralize efforts toward creating an "identity ecosystem" for the Internet.

The National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace is currently being drafted by the Obama administration and will be released by the president in a few months.

"We are not talking about a national ID card. We are not talking about a government-controlled system. What we are talking about is enhancing online security and privacy, and reducing and perhaps even eliminating the need to memorize a dozen passwords, through creation and use of more trusted digital identities," Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said at an event Friday at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, according to CNET.com.

Locke added that the Commerce Department will be setting up a national program office to work on this project.

The move has raised eyebrows about privacy issues.

"The government cannot create that identity infrastructure," Jim Dempsey of the Center for Democracy and Technology told the website. "If I tried to, I wouldn't be trusted."

Schmidt stresses that anonymity will remain on the Internet, saying there's no chance that "a centralized database will emerge."

The ghost of the Valleys? Spooky figure caught on camera in holidaymaker's video

Caravanner adamant only he and friend were present during filming

He believes spooky silent figure is a woman wearing Welsh national dress

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

7th January 2012

There was an icy, some would say, ghostly welcome on the Welsh hillsides for a tourist on a short break to the Valleys.

For when holidaymaker Paul Feehan replayed the video from his holiday he was in for what he believes is the supernatural shock of his life.

During a break at his holiday caravan the property developer from Manchester deliberately picked an isolated quiet spot beside a manmade lake to relax and take it easy.

Spooky imagining: Paul relaxes on his holiday to Wales while the camera picks up what he believes to be a figure in the background

And as he took full advantage of the peace and quiet to sit and soak in the views of the stunning Welsh countryside near the village of Abersoch on the Lyn Peninsula he was filmed by a friend.

Even as the camera rolls there is no hint from either man that they have spotted anyone else near them.

Yet when Paul replayed the video he could clearly see a figure standing just a few feet behind him.

The figure, which Paul believes could be a ghost, can be seen at the back of the frame standing very still.

Lady in red circle: Paul is convinced that the figure captured on the video is wearing Welsh national costume and is female

Behind you! Paul's mystery figure appears more than once in the film shot while he was on holiday in Wales.

And it remains there for the duration of the short film as the camera pans left and right across the landscape.

Paul even believes that the ghostly spectre is female and is dressed in Welsh national costume.

He said: 'This is really, really, weird. There was nobody else in the area at the time. When we walked down to the lake we saw nobody.

'I am absolutely positive that the place was deserted at the time and I have no explanation for what you see on the video. It was completely deserted.

'Knowing the lie of the land I think the figure could have been no more than 15 metres behind me.

'We heard nothing to suspect anybody else was near us.

'When I saw it on the video I was shocked and did a bit of research on the internet.

'The outline with the hat and the type of dress looks exactly like a woman wearing Welsh folk dress.'

Proof that Your Own Thoughts and Beliefs Can Cause Self-Healing

Andre Evans -

January 7, 2011

If you are struggling with any major health concern, it is important to realize that your mind can sometimes be your own worst enemy, or it could be the main reason for treating a problem.

Increasingly, it is being recognized that a 'mind over matter' approach can actually produce noticeable results in your health.

Numerous studies abound on the nature of the mind-body relationship, and how your mind can affect your biological functions. Much like how a hypochondriac may convince himself that he is sick, and subsequently 'find' (or make up) symptoms of his illness, a negative or even apathetic mindset may induce you into a lesser state of health. Conversely, having a generally positive disposition or outlook with regards to your health may actually make you healthier.

In clinical studies where patients are given placebos, they often will respond positively to them due to the expectation that they are receiving some form of beneficial medicine. Although not talking about placebo sugar pills specifically, this kind of self-treatment can be seen in one case where a woman's own thoughts made her lose nearly 112 pounds.

Proof that Your Own Thoughts and Beliefs Can Cause Self-Healing

What makes these test subjects have a positive response? Definitely not the sugar. An assumed belief that they are being positively affected by whatever they may have been given is what actually causes the change. If this is the case, then it means that your mental state plays a vital role in how your health progresses, or degenerates.

The power of the mind is immense. Its influence can literally bend reality to match its perspective. You can often influence a situation more by thinking about it meticulously, as opposed to simply acting. If you believe something to be true, you will conform the world around you to match this expectation.

If you believe that your illness is getting worse, it will probably get worse. If you believe that your treatment is helping you, you could actually cause massive self-healing to occur. Assuming a disposition will automatically prejudice your mind, and therefore cause your body to react either positively or negatively.

This applies to all things, not just health and wellness. Assuming a positive attitude and an optimistic demeanor will actually help you to overcome your trials in life, whether they are physical, mental, or emotional.

Though we face these trials, let them not be overwhelming or intimidating. Meet them with optimism and enthusiasm, expecting all the while to overcome them.

("For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Proverbs 23:7 1 Peter 1:13 Philippians 4:8)
