“One of our readers recently asked us a question concerning the sealing of the servents of God which takes place before the start of the Tribulation.

“We thought to use the question and answer as this weeks introduction.

Question

“I was thinking the other day of writing you and just asking if you think that the seal of God is going to be something we will be aware of or if it's just a spiritual knowing.”

“And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” Revelation 7:2-3

Answer

Interesting question. We had not thought about that until you asked the question.

In our opinion, and it is an opinion, we believe we will be aware that the sealing has taken place.

The reason we believe we will be aware is because of some verses that came to us while thinking about your question.

Revelation 12:7-10: “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

These verses take place right before the beginning of the Tribulation. When Satan is cast out of heaven the result is “salvation, strength, the kingdom of God, and the power of his Christ”.

It would seem that we would have to be aware of these happenings taking place.

Related to the question but not necessarily a definitive answer would be the two witnesses of Revelation 11 who will definitely be aware of the physical manifestations of the power given them by God.

“I will give power unto my two witnesses...fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies...These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.”

Revelation 11:3, 5-6

Daniel 11:32 would also seem to be talking about physical manifestations bestowed by God upon His End Time children.

“The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”.

The Merriam-Webster defines the word “exploits” as “a notable or heroic deed”. The same verse in the Septuagint, which was translated from the original Kone Greek, reads “a people knowing their God shall prevail and do valiantly”. Again, this would certainly appear to imply outstanding physical manifestations of the power of God through His children.

Finally for now, could the sealing of God in the foreheads help to bring about the fulfillment of Joel chapter two which is reiterated in Acts chapter two?

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. “And on my servants and on my handmaids in those days will I pour out of my Spirit.”

Will we realize the anointing that has been poured out by God? We believe we will.

Another example of the “anointing” of God can be found in Matthew 10:19-20 “But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”

We are sure we would be aware of the anointing as was every prophet and man and woman of God through out the Bible.

And it continues to this day. “for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”. Revelation 19:10

The second part of your question concerns the “144,000” also talked about in Revelation 7. The following is what we have published on the “Studies” section of our web site concerning the “144,000 complied by Joseph Candel from the writings and teachings of David Berg.

Following this we would like to propose a possible alternative interpretation, which again, we do want to be clear an opinion.

“The 7th Seal which begins the great tribulation is soon to be opened in chapter 8. But before it happens God, in order to preserve his children and his witnesses during this tribulation period, is going to "seal his saints" so that they will not be hurt by His judgments against the wicked.

"And after these things I (John) saw four angels...holding the four winds of the earth.… and I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.… and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."(vs.1-4) verses 5-8 lists the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, 12,000 from each tribe being sealed.

These 144,000 which receive the seal of God are not physical Israel. They are the true spiritual Israel. As the apostle Paul said, "they are not all Israel, which are of Israel.…that is they which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise (those who accept Jesus) are counted for the seed." (Rom.9:6-8) These 144,000 are the same 144,000 of Revelation chapter 14, who "follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth."

The 144,000 are the leaders of "the great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindred’s, and peoples, and tongues…which came out of great tribulation." (vs.9-14)--and in the original that means the great tribulation, the one that precedes the second coming of Christ!

Whether the 144,000 is a symbolic or literal number we don't know, but we do know this: they are going to be God's cadre during that horrible tribulation period to lead the rest of the believers through it and to stand up and witness against the antichrist system unto the very end.”

As to a possible alternative, Paul in Romans 9:22 quotes Isaiah 10:22: “Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved”.

In Romans 11:5 Paul is quoted as saying, “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace”.

“A remnant of people is what is left of a community following a catastrophe (e.g., Noah's family after the flood, Gen 6:5-8:22 ; Lot's family after the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah, Gen. 19 those who remained in the land after the deportations of 597 b.c., Ezra 9:8 ; Jer 24:8 ; 52:15 ; those left behind under Gedaliah, Jeremiah 40:6 Jeremiah 40:11 Jeremiah 40:15 ; or the Jews who came out of exile.” from BibleStudyTools.com

Zechariah 13:8-9 may show another glimpse of this “remnant”. “And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.”

Is it possible that the 144,000 are part of the one third who are spared at the end of the Tribulation. Again we are speculating.

Even the ones who are spared who say “The Lord is my God” are spared for “His names sake”.

Ancient fortress discovery may solve one of Jerusalem's great archaeological mysteries

Archaeologists in Israel believe they have found the remains of an ancient Greek fortification used to control the Temple in Jerusalem more than 2,000 years ago.

The citadel was recently uncovered during archaeological excavations in a parking lot at the City of David, which is in the Jerusalem Walls National Park.

The Greek fortifications, known as the Acra, were built during the reign of Antiochus IV Epiphanes to control the city and monitor activity in the Temple. However, the Acra’s exact location has been one of Jerusalem’s great archaeological mysteries, according to the Israel Antiquities Authority.

"It has been an open question in the archaeology of Jerusalem," Excavation Director Doron Ben-Ami told FoxNews.com. "For hundreds of years scholars, archaeologists and historians have been looking for the location of this Acra and many, many different locations have been suggested."

Now the parking lot has revealed its incredible secret. “This sensational discovery allows us for the first time to reconstruct the layout of the settlement in the city,” wrote excavation directors Ben-Ami, Yana Tchekhanovets and Salome Cohen, in a statement released by the Israel Antiquities Authority. “The new archaeological finds indicate the establishment of a well-fortified stronghold that was constructed on the high bedrock cliff overlooking the steep slopes of the City of David hill.”

The stronghold, they added, controlled all means of approach to the Temple atop the Temple Mount, and cut the Temple off from the southern parts of the city.

Excavators now believe that they have exposed evidence of the Acra on Jerusalem’s City of David hill – a section of massive wall, a base of a tower and a glacis, or sloping defensive embankment, which is built of soil, stone and plaster.

A host of artifacts, including lead sling shots, bronze arrowheads and ballista stones stamped with the trident symbolizing Antiochus IV Epiphanes have been discovered during the excavations. Other items include coins and wine jars, according to the excavation directors.

“The numerous coins ranging in date from the reign of Antiochus IV to that of Antiochus VII and the large number of wine jars (amphorae) that were imported from the Aegean region to Jerusalem, which were discovered at the site, provide evidence of the citadel’s chronology, as well as the non-Jewish identity of its inhabitants.”

The temple was liberated from Greek rule by the Hasmoneans in 164 B.C.

Spectacular archaeological find adds to Temple Mount’s contested history

The discovery of the ancient Greek fort of Acra adds a new layer to the contested history of The Temple Mount.

A recent discovery at the site of the Temple Mount in Israel appears to confirm that Greeks also had a presence in the ancient city.

The ancient Greek fort of Acra was discovered under a parking lot in the City of David, south of the Old City walls and the Temple Mount, reports the Times of Israel.

"The new archaeological finds indicate the establishment of a well-fortified stronghold that was constructed on the high bedrock cliff overlooking the steep slopes of the City of David hill," a statement from the archaeologists said.

According to The Times of Israel, the fort was manned by Hellenized Jews and mercenaries who were paid by Antiochus to oversee access to the military base and the ancient Temple Mount itself. The archaeological site contains arrowheads, stones from an ancient catapult, and an enormous stone wall.

According to Jewish history, the ancient Greek fort of Acra was built by the ruler Antiochus, who sought to ban Jewish religious practices. The result of that attempted ban, and the resulting Maccabean rebellion, gave rise to the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.

The discovery of the Greek fort adds a new layer to the contested history of the Temple Mount, which has long been surrounded by questions of ownership and control, all the way down to disagreements over which name Jews and Muslims think should be used for the site: Jews call it the Temple Mount, but Muslims insist it should be called the Haram al-Sharif instead.

Control of the Temple Mount was briefly claimed by Israeli forces following the Arab-Israeli conflict of 1967, but the government immediately handed that claim back to Muslim hands. Today, a shaky compromise allows Muslims to worship at the Al-Aqsa mosque in one part of the site, and Jews to worship at the Western Wall in the other.

But a recent spate of stabbing attacks against Israelis, and retaliation by authorities, which has left nine Israelis and 68 Palestinians dead may threaten the current order.

The Israel Antiquities Authority announced that the site of the Acra fort will be opened to the public on December 6th, the same day that Hanukkah starts.

Five Essential Blessings to Know for the Arrival of the Messiah

The return of Jews to the land of Israel was a miraculous occurrence that has changed many practical aspects of Jewish practice in unexpected ways. Many laws that have lain dormant for thousands of years have re-appeared in incarnations the Jewish sages could never have anticipated. This is certainly true for mitzvot (Biblical commandments) pertaining to agriculture, like shmitta (the sabbatical year) or yovel (the jubilee year). One hundred years ago, it would have been impossible for Jews in the Diaspora to imagine hakhel or performing the mitzvah of the half-shekel.

Today, the world is taking many abrupt turns. Many religious figures have stated that we are now in the birthpangs of the coming of the Messiah and have called on the Jewish nation to prepare itself accordingly.

While preparing for the arrival of the Messiah may seem abstract to some, there are practical steps a person can take. One way is by learning the special blessings associated with his arrival. According to Rabbi Chaim Palagi, a Turkish rabbi who lived in the late 18th century, there are five blessings a person should learn to say upon seeing the Messiah:

1. A blessing praising God as the ultimate redeemer:

ברוך אתה ה<SPAN LANG="hi-IN">א</SPAN>-<SPAN LANG="hi-IN">להינו מלך העולם גואל ישראל</SPAN></P> <P>“Blessed are you, God, King of the world, who redeems Israel.”</P> <P>2. A blessing for anything that makes a person especially happy:</P> <P><SPAN LANG="hi-IN">ברוך אתה ה</SPAN> א-ל-הינו מלך העולם שהחינו וקימנו והגענו לזמן הזה

“Blessed are you, God, King of the world, who has kept us alive and sustained us to arrive at this moment.”

3. The blessing said upon seeing a great Torah scholar:

ברוך אתה ה<SPAN LANG="hi-IN">א</SPAN>-<SPAN LANG="hi-IN">להינו מלך העולם שחלק מחכמתו ליראיו</SPAN></P> <P>“Blessed are you, God, King of the world, who has given from His wisdom to those who fear Him.”</P> <P>4. The blessing said upon seeing a king of Israel:</P> <P><SPAN LANG="hi-IN">ברוך אתה ה</SPAN> א-להינו מלך העולם שחלק מכבודו ליראיו

“Blessed are you, God, King of the world, who has given from His honor to those who fear Him.”

5. The blessing said upon seeing an exceptionally large gathering of 600,000 Jews:

ברוך אתה ה` א-להינו מלך העולם חכם הרזים

“Blessed are you, God, king of the world, master of secrets.”

6. The blessing said upon hearing of glad tidings that affect the public:

ברוך אתה ה’ … מלך העולם הטוב והמטיב

“Blessed are you, God, King of the world, who does good and makes even better.”

Alternatively, Rabbi Shlomo Zalmen Auerbach, a Torah authority who passed away 10 years ago, ruled that when the Messiah comes, only four blessings will be said.

According to Jewish tradition, the Messiah will be well-versed in Torah. Therefore, Rabbi Auerbach ruled that the blessing upon seeing a Torah scholar (#3) should be said. Rabbi Auerbach also requires the blessing said upon seeing a king of Israel (#4) because the two Messiahs – one from the House of Joseph and one from the House of David – will be leaders of Israel. Since the Messiah from the House of David comes from the dynastic line of Jewish kingship, upon seeing him it will be required to recite the blessing of seeing a king of Israel.

When the Messiah finally does arrive, Rabbi Auerbach has ruled that the blessing upon seeing a great gathering of Jews (#5) should be said, based on the assumption that the entire Jewish nation will join together in one place.

The final blessing, according to Rabbi Auerbach, is the blessing of joy (#2), since when the Messiah comes, the entire nation will rejoice. May it be soon and in our days!

Billy Graham's Warning to American Churches: 'Prepare for Persecution'

The Rev. Billy Graham has issued a written warning to America's churches: "Prepare for persecution."

The renowned preacher and founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association penned a commentary that was posted on his website last week and is slated to appear in the November edition of Decision magazine.

In the magazine, Graham notes that the American church has been largely unfamiliar with persecution, writing that this "immunity to persecution that Christians in our country have experienced in the past two or three centuries is unusual."

"As a whole, our nation does not know what privation is. We do not know what sacrifice is. We do not know what suffering is. Suppose persecution were to come to the church in America, as it has come in other countries," wrote Graham.

"Since we have experienced little religious persecution in this country, it is likely that under pressure many would deny Christ. Those who shout the loudest about their faith may surrender soonest."

Graham went on to list "five ways to fortify yourself so that you will be able to stand in that day." These included making sure of one's relationship to God, walking with God, regularly reading Scripture, praying always, and meditating on Christ.

"Today our nation ranks as the greatest power on the face of the Earth. But if we put our trust in armed might instead of Almighty God, the coming conflict could conceivably go against us," continued Graham.

"History and the Bible indicate that mechanical and material might are insufficient in times of great crisis."

For many years, some — especially in socially conservative circles — have argued that the United States is gradually marginalizing Christians.

They point to things like the censorship of manger scenes and Ten Commandments displays on government property and an inherent growth of secularism in media.

In recent years, Graham's son, the Rev. Franklin Graham, has become an outspoken critic of what he believes to be growing hostility toward Christians in America.

Earlier in October, Franklin Graham wrote a Facebook post in which he viewed the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, as an example.

Chris Harper-Mercer opened fire on students at Umpqua, killing nine and wounding seven others before fatally shooting himself. Early reports indicated that he specifically targeted Christian students.

"Persecution and targeting of Christians isn't just in Iran or the Middle East, it's right here in America," wrote Franklin Graham.

"The bold souls at Umpqua Community College who stood up to say they were followers of Jesus Christ were heinously gunned down with no mercy. Jesus said, 'If they hate you, remember they hated me before they hated you,' (John 15:18)."

Meet Bibi’s New Tribulation-Courting, Jew-Converting, Demon-Exorcising American Allies

Netanyahu and Christian Zionists have long enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship. But with a new, more radical sect ascending within the movement, the marriage may be in trouble.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been one of the most beloved Israeli politicians in the history of Christian Zionism. It has been a religio-political match made in heaven, with Christian Right leaders providing Netanyahu with money in Israel and political clout in the U.S., and the Israeli leader putting up with an Evangelical end-times theology.

But while Netanyahu is still in office, his Christian Zionist dance partners have changed. They no longer adhere to the fantastical, but generally passive end-times theology from which Christian Zionism emerged. Today’s Christian Zionists hail from apostolic and prophetic movements such as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), a demon-haunted new generation of American religio-politics, which may change the terms of the American-Israeli right-wing partnership in the bargain.

It was Jerry Falwell who brokered the unlikely political partnership between American fundamentalists and Israeli politicians during the administration of Menachem Begin, founder of the Likud Party. The evangelical end-time prophecy narrative—well captured in books like Hal Lindsey’s Late Great Planet Earth and The Left Behind series co-authored by Tim LaHaye, one of the founders of the Moral Majority—was central to this alliance. In this interpretation of biblical prophecy, believers are raptured, or suddenly snatched to heaven, prior to the seven years before Jesus’ return, a time when the anti-Christ will rule over the earth in the Great Tribulation.

Today, the most prominent organization in Christian Zionism is Christians United for Israel (CUFI), led by controversial pastor John Hagee. CUFI has moved tens of millions of dollars from the U.S. to Israel, but is not required to disclose its activities because it is technically a church, registered in Texas as “CUFI Church Association” with a mission to “proclaim Christ to the world.” Hagee’s theology is somewhat consistent with Lindsey’s and LaHaye’s: In his fiery dispensationalist sermons, he teaches that the Rapture could take place at any minute.

While the futuristic end times prophecy narrative predicts a grim outcome for Jews, this is essentially a “passive” tale that requires supernatural intervention and that many Jewish leaders don’t take seriously. Often, they would literally laugh it off. One common joke is “When the Messiah comes, we’ll just ask if he’s been here before or not.

But Christian Zionism has recently been transformed by a new generation with a radically different theology that actively seeks to proselytize in Israel, Eastern Europe, and South America, and which promotes an aggressive Christian nationalism in the U.S. Today’s Christian Zionism is dominated by the Charismatic/Pentecostal sector of Christianity, with the NAR first and foremost. Several CUFI directors, past and present, are part of the NAR leadership, and NAR spokespeople have gained prominence in Christian Zionist circles.

Get to know the NAR: they are the future of the Christian Right. Their leaders describe themselves as modern day “apostles and prophets,” anointed by God to reform the church in preparation for the end times. This is a triumphalist theology, one in which the adherents believe they will exercise “dominion” over all of American society, be victorious over their opponents on earth, and convert all the Jews.

For fundamentalists like Jerry Falwell, the prerequisite for the second coming was the physical restoration of Israel or the return of unconverted Jews to modern day Israel. But for the apostles and prophets of the NAR, the prerequisite for the second coming is the spiritual restoration, or conversion of Jews to their brand of Christianity. The result has been the development of Messianic communities and missionary training centers around the world.

Moreover, while fundamentalists look to the scriptures for secret meaning in current events and messages from God, the modern-day apostles and prophets claim to be the bearers of God’s direct ongoing revelation. The results can be bizarre. The leading thinker of the NAR, C. Peter Wagner, stated on NPR in 2011 that the nuclear meltdown at Fukushima was a result of the Japanese emperor having had sex with the sun goddess, that there is “a lot of demonic control” in Congress (and that demons can possess entire cities as well), that it is important to cast spells to protect politicians from witchcraft, and that non-Christian religions “are part of the kingdom of darkness.” All in one hour with Terry Gross.

And yet, the NAR is not on the fringe, but at the center of today’s Republican Party. The Response, a massive Houston prayer event hosted by Rick Perry in 2011, was led by prominent NAR apostles and prophets joined by other Christian Right leaders. Perry’s event was patterned after and led by leaders from TheCall events hosted around the world by “prophet” Lou Engle and Mike Bickle, head of the International House of Prayer (IHOP). These events focus on fighting abortion and gay rights, and on proselytizing Jews in order to bring about the second coming. Engle’s events include one held in Jerusalem and another in Uganda, where local apostles in the movement spoke in support of the “Kill-the-Gays” bill then under consideration by the Ugandan Parliament.

Other Republican politicians have looked to this religio-political movement for support as well, including Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Sam Brownback, Duke Aiona of Hawaii, Katherine Harris of Florida, and many more. One of the NAR’s training centers, the Messianic Jewish Bible Institute (MJBI) in Dallas, featured President George W. Bush as the keynote speaker at its annual fundraising gala.

The NAR has steadily taken over the world of Christian Zionism. The “prayer for Israel” at Rick Perry’s event was not led by John Hagee but by Apostle Don Finto, the author of the classic text on supporting Messianic communities (i.e. converted Jews with NAR-style evangelical beliefs). Finto openly called for the conversion of Jews, and was joined by the rabbi of one of the nation’s most prominent Messianic congregations. This call for the conversion of Jews was repeated at a more recent similar event hosted in Louisiana by Gov. Bobby Jindal and also featuring NAR apostles.

Another key NAR player in Christian Zionism is Finto’s disciple, Robert Stearns. Stearns was one of the original directors of CUFI and his ministry has prominently featured endorsements by Bibi and other Jewish leaders. He is also the co-founder and leader of the single largest international Christian Zionist event, the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ), held annually and involving thousands of churches worldwide praying that Israel fulfill its God-given mandate. That mandate is clear in Stearns' celebration of the growing number of the Messianic movement in Israel, and his exclamation that these converted Jews are like "our elder brother risen from the dead!"

These changes were evident earlier this month, when Netanyahu spoke to the U.S. Congress on March 3.

Christian Zionists activists were primed and ready. CUFI had long taught that it is part of a modern reenactment of the Old Testament Book of Esther, in which an insider (Esther, a secret Jew in the king’s palace) and a cunning outsider (Mordechai, her uncle) save the Jews of Shushan (today’s Iran) from the plot of wicked Haman. It was a nice coincidence that the Netanyahu speech was the day before the Jewish holiday of Purim, which commemorates these events. Prior to his speech, one of the nation’s largest Christian magazine publishers, Charisma, featured a call for American Christian Zionists to play Esther to Bibi’s Mordechai. The writer? Robert Stearns.

In 2011, I wrote that the NAR’s proselytizing network is teaching millions of Christians that Jews are spiritually dead and Judaism is a rebellion against God, representing a reversal of progress that had been made in interfaith dialogue and acceptance since the Holocaust. Four years later, the NAR is now at the center of Christian Zionism, itself a crucial part of the shifting, increasingly partisan US-Israel relationship.

Ironically, the term “anti-Semitism” has been frequently used to describe those who object to Israeli politics, while Christian Zionists, who hold views denigrating Jews’ spiritual lives and which would have been considered anti-Semitic years ago, are described as “philo-Semitic” defenders of Israel. This paradox has not only been tolerated by Jewish right-wing leaders, but Christian Zionists allies have, with their blessing, been commissioned to teach about the Holocaust, fight anti-Semitism on campuses, and represent Israeli interests to governments in nations around the globe.

But today’s New Apostolic leaders bring another challenge to Netanyahu and Israeli allies of Christian Zionists. Progressives have long complained that right-wing Israelis have made a “deal with the devil” in accepting support from messianic Christian Zionists. But that was, to coin a phrase, the devil they knew. The question now is whether right-wing Jews will continue to partner with a group that actively seeks their conversion, believes that politicians are possessed by demons, and is spending millions of dollars each year to create a theocracy in the United States. Another Netanyahu clarification: Nazis, not mufti, decided on Holocaust

(CNN)Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a further clarification to controversial remarks he made about the Holocaust, this time stressing he never meant to claim that an Islamic leader persuaded Adolf Hitler to adopt the Final Solution to kill European Jews.

In a Facebook post Friday, Netanyahu attempted to clarify remarks he had made October 20 in which he gave an account of a meeting between Hitler and Jerusalem's then-grand mufti, Haj Amin al-Husseini.

"Contrary to the impression that was created, I did not mean to claim that in his conversation with Hitler in November 1941 the mufti convinced him to adopt the Final Solution. The Nazis decided on that by themselves," the post on Netanyahu's Facebook page reads.

Hamas says Britain must apologize for Balfour Declaration carving up Palestine

Palestinian political Islamists Hamas have demanded Britain apologize for agreeing to establish a Jewish homeland in Palestine in 1917, a move experts say had “profound and pervasive” consequences for those who lived there.

Hamas released its statement Monday to coincide with the 98th anniversary of the declaration. It claimed the 1917 agreement between then British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour and influential Jewish community leader Baron Walter Rothschild is now null and void.

The original declaration, which aimed to combine two apparently contradictory aims, read: “His Majesty's government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.”

The Israeli News Network reports Hamas wants Britain to apologize for the declaration, retract it and admit it was a mistake.

“The path of our people towards freedom, return and liberation goes like the path of other peoples who were under occupation – through struggle by all methods and means, first and foremost an armed struggle,” the statement said.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Oxford University history professor Avi Shlaim said the Balfour agreement continued to resonate throughout the region and beyond.

“Its consequences were both profound and pervasive, and its impact on the subsequent history of the Middle East was nothing less than revolutionary,” he said.

“It completely transformed the position of the fledgling Zionist movement vis-à-vis the Arabs of Palestine, and it provided a protective umbrella that enabled the Zionists to proceed steadily towards their ultimate goal of establishing an independent Jewish state in Palestine.”

The declaration’s impact was out of proportion to its size. It took the form of a mere letter from one party to another and yet, Shlaim says, defines the state of the Middle East to this day.

“Rarely in the annals of the British Empire has such a short document produced such far-reaching consequences,” he said.

A number of former British colonies have recently called for relations between themselves and the former imperial power to be redressed.

In September, Barbadian historian Sir Hilary Beckles reminded David Cameron that the prime minister’s own family was enriched by slavery in the Caribbean colonies.

In July, Indian politician Shashi Tharoor debated Britain’s past occupation of India at an Oxford Union debate.

“Britain’s rise for 200 years was financed by its depredations in India. We paid for our own oppression. It’s a bit rich to oppress, maim, kill, torture and repress and then celebrate democracy at the end of it,” Tharoor said at the debate.

A number of new scientific studies of human DNA have concluded that the popular theory of evolution is not completely true. Scientists now believe that Mankind acquired…through an extra-terrestrial source…foreign genes from microorganisms not of this Earth.

This new scientific theory which is sometimes referred to as the Ancient Astronaut Theory proposes that Mankind as we know it has an ET genetic code in a statistically significant percentage of the human population. The research published in the Journal of Genome Biology focuses on “horizontal gene transfer” between “alien DNA” found in a co-habitating environment. “This is the first study to show how widely horizontal gene transfer (HGT) occurs in animals, including humans, giving rise to tens or hundreds of active ‘foreign’ genes,” said Alastair Crisp from the University of Cambridge.

“Surprisingly, far from being a rare occurrence, it appears that HGT has contributed to the evolution of many, perhaps all, animals and that the process is ongoing, meaning that we may need to re-evaluate how we think about evolution.” The bottom line is that an extraterrestrial genetic code may be found in human DNA, according to the research of two Kazakhstan scientists, who theorize that human DNA may have an extraterrestrial "stamp" embedded into it. These scientists believe a highly advanced alien civilization "seeded" the Earth.

This theory coincides in part with Genesis 6:1-4 where the “sons of God” or the B’nai Elohim or fallen angels mated with human women and produced a hybrid species called the Nephilim.

“When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. (…) The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them.” – Genesis 6:1–4 (NIV)

This “Ancient Astronaut” theory could explain the reason for the existence of super-civilizations like Atlantis, Babylon, and ancient Egypt. There are also theories about the existence of Thule, which the Nazi-occult-rocket scientists believed in. Some believe there is a direct link between Atlantis, Thule, Babylon, and other civilizations.

There are a number of scientists and researchers who believe that the mythical super-civilization Atlantis existed and that over the ages it drifted, that continental drift caused by the spreading and subduction of tectonic plates moved Atlantis somewhere under the ice on the continent of Antarctica. In February of 2012 Russian scientists drilled through a massive layer of ice in Antarctica all the way down to Lake Vostok (a reservoir of liquid water between the bedrock and the icecap) and some scientists have hypothesized that remnants of the lost civilization of Atlantis might possibly be found there. The Greek philosopher Plato wrote that Atlantis was a super-civilization governed by 10-god kings and provided a model for how all civilizations, including our own should be governed by an occult elite. The legends of Native Americans resemble the accounts of Atlantis as they tell the story of Aztlan, which was destroyed by a great flood and whose inhabitants escaped to the Americas.
A common theme among these pre-flood super-civilizations like Thule, Atlantis (Aztlan), and others is that a super race that came from the stars with advanced technology not only breeded with human women, but that they gave Mankind highly advanced occult technology and science which allowed these super-civilizations to be built, along with unexplainable architectural monuments like the pyramids, the Tower of Babel, and huge city-like structures under the ocean.

Research from the University of Cambridge has discovered what appears to be foreign DNA…145 genes that support some of the ideas of popular fiction in movies like Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and pseudo-scientific accounts like Eric von Daniken’s “ancient astronaut theory,” which proposes that planet Earth was seeded by extraterrestrials millions of years ago. Darwin’s Theory of Evolution has come under a serious scientific attack for simply not being true and the only reason that discredited theory is still being taught in Universities, colleges, High Schools and grade schools along with the mass media and government funded institutions is because it is being artificially kept in place by a kind of Darwinian Mafia or neo-McCarthyism. In other words the facts strongly indicate it is a failed theory but if a scientist, teacher, or media person dares to speak the truth they are subject to losing grant money, termination from jobs, ridicule by peers, and all-out personal attacks. So the growing number of scientists who know evolution is not true are afraid to speak up because their careers will be destroyed. Film director Ridley Scott had this to say about the traditional Theory of Evolution:

“NASA and the Vatican agree that it is almost mathematically impossible that we can be where we are today without there being a little help along the way … That’s what we’re looking at (in the film), at some of Eric Von Daniken’s ideas of how did we humans come about.”

The traditional theory of evolution is no longer a viable explanation of Mankind’s origins. Ironically, there are two different accounts to explain human life on planet Earth in the Bible. The first account is that of an omniscient Creator-God who created Man in His own image, both male and female. This is the Genesis account of Adam and Eve who were created in God’s image and they had the DNA of God, but they were tempted by an interdimensional being named Lucifer who came to them in the form of an upright Reptilian being or the “serpent of old.” When Adam and Eve rejected God’s Word they activated the Law of Sin and Death, and the life force of God began to leave them and they began to die.

In what is called an extra-book of the Bible, the Book of Enoch, we read about a different kind hybrid human conception, one involving extra-dimensional beings or fallen angels mating with human women and breeding the interspecies hybrid of fallen angel DNA and human DNA called the Nephilim. Normally, Biblical theologians do not classify an extra-Biblical book of the Bible like the Book of Enoch as having the same authority or divine inspiration as Biblical books like Genesis, Exodus, Matthew, Revelation, etc. However, when reading the Biblical book of Jude, we are given permission by Jude to examine the Book of Enoch regarding fallen angels who “left their first estate” and went after “strange flesh” or mated with human women.

The Book of Enoch predates the Book of Moses and for the first seven hundred years of Church history the Book of Enoch was highly respected among the early Church fathers such as Clement, Barabus, and Irenaeus. The Book of Enoch was originally written in ancient Hebrew and was discovered in the Dead Sea Scrolls. It addresses the Tribulation Period before the return of Jesus Christ. The New Testament Book of Jude says “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, behold the Lord cometh with thousands of His saints…” Jude is referring to the prophesy of Jesus Christ returning with the armies of Heaven at the Second Coming. Enoch tells how 200 fallen angels descended upon Mount Hermon and mated with human women. In addition, these fallen angels gave fallen angel technology, science, and access to dark supernatural powers to Mankind. Enoch Chapter 7:1 says “And they took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go into them, and mixed with them, and taught them charms and conjurations, and made them acquainted with the cutting of roots and woods.” This is a reference to teaching Mankind esoteric knowledge, passing on supernatural powers, the use of drugs, sorcery, witchcraft, magic, and occult-sciences.

As we read further on in the Book of Enoch, we discover that the fallen angels gave Man occult technology, the art of war, shields, armor, weaponry, myriad perverse sexual practices, and science.

Secretly through the DNA of “Illuminati Bloodline” families and the passing on of secret knowledge and technology through secret societies which we document in our book, The Babylon Code, all of this knowledge, illumination, and occult technology developed into what became known as “Mystery Babylon.” Madame Blavatsky, the occult teacher whose disciple Alice Bailey set up Lucifer Publishing on the grounds of the UN and trained world leaders in the ways of the occult, commented upon “the Giants of Old” and the advanced science and technology they used in her book, The Secret Doctrine.

“In the same work above cited of the Abbe Pegues, the author wonders why in Bible and tradition, the Gibborim, (Giants, the mighty ones) the Rephaim, or ... the Nephilim, or the fallen ones - (irruentes) - are shown "as if identical, though they are all men, since the Bible calls them the primitive and the mighty ones" - e.g., Nimrod.

The "Doctrine" explains the secret. These names [are all associated with the ‘Giants’ including] the race of the Atlantean Giants... ” Pages 278-279.

What is interesting is while many foolish Christian theologians debate as to whether or not fallen angels could have mated with human women, the leaders of the Illuminati and the words of occult teachers like Blavatsky continue to make a large impact on the United Nations. The secret elite completely understand the reality of the Nephilim, Rephaim, and the interspecies breeding that happened between fallen angels and human women. In addition, they understand its direct relationship to Nimrod, Babylon, and our new Babylon that is rising before our very eyes.

Primary schools and kindergartens in Germany are abolishing a Christian celebration and changing it into a generic “festival of lights” so as not to offend the hundreds of thousands of Muslim migrants pouring into the country.

According to a translated report out of the Epoch Times, schools are re-naming the Christian-themed St. Martin’s Day, an annual celebration that takes place in numerous European countries on November 11.

Several daycare centers in Düsseldorf have abolished the festival altogether out of “consideration for the refugees,” a decision that has prompted fierce criticism from head teachers at other schools in the region.

Others have re-named the event the “Festival of Lights” in order to “facilitate the integration” of the Muslim migrants, said Nanette Weidelt, head of the Düsseldorf Don Bosco-Montessori School.

Leftist politicians have been attempting to amend the celebration for a number of years, with Rüdiger Sagel insisting the change was a necessary response to the “high proportion of Muslim children in the day care centers.”

“You should not impose the Christian tradition,” Sagel asserted.

However, some see the change as yet another example of how Germans are being forced to integrate with Muslim culture and not the other way around as it should be.

“These migrants are coming to our countries from failed, devastated cultures. When and why was it decided that we have to mute and censor our traditions and mores for theirs — a failed society that suffocates and destroys?” writes Pamela Geller. “They are running from devastation and failure; why adopt that?”

As we have exhaustively documented, this is not the first example of European nations sacrificing aspects of their own culture in order to please the wave of incoming “refugees”.

A Protestant church in Oberhausen, Germany recently announced that it would remove Christian crosses, altars and pulpits in order to accommodate 50 Muslim migrants who were invited to stay in the building.

Back in September, a school in Bavaria also sent a letter to parents asking them to ensure girls didn’t wear shorts or mini-skirts so as to prevent “attacks” from Muslims housed in a nearby gym who might be offended by such attire.

As we reported last month, the world’s first lesbian Bishop Eva Brunne also suggested removing Christian crosses and symbols from a church in Stockholm in order to make the building “more inviting” for Muslims.

Last week, we also highlighted how German security experts are warning that the middle class in Germany is becoming “radicalized” in response to the migrant influx and that domestic unrest may occur as a result.

During a panel discussion on religious liberty last week at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., prominent atheist professor Phil Zuckerman declared what we’ve all known but that many still refuse to admit: it’s acceptable to criticize Christians but not Muslims because Christians won’t violently retaliate, reports CNS News.

Also on the panel was Kirsten Powers, a Democratic pundit and recent convert to Catholicism, who questioned why the left targets Christians who oppose same-sex marriage but take a hands-off stance toward Muslims for the same belief. She cited Steven Crowder’s hidden video recordings made earlier this year in which Muslim bakers in Michigan refused his request to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding:

“If these had been Christian bakeries, it would have been on the front page of the New York Times, so I’m wondering why we’re able to have this amicable, disagreement with Muslims for having this view. Why are we not able to do that with Christians?

Zuckerman, a professor of secular studies at Pitzer College in Claremont, California, responded:

“I absolutely agree that it is okay for those on the left to critique, mock, deride Christianity, but Islam gets a free pass, which is so strange, because if you care about women’s rights, if you care about human rights, if you care about gay rights, then really Islam is much more problematic – sorry to paint Islam with a huge brush – and much more devastating.

“As an atheist – where on planet Earth is the death penalty meted out to atheists? It’s only in, I think, 24 Muslim countries.

“Where have human rights flourished the most? In Christian nations.

“I see Christianity as a great friend of secular culture. I see Islam as much more of a threat, much more debilitating. I’m not talking about Muslim individuals that I happen to sit next to on an airplane or are my neighbors. I’m talking about doctrines and those that have the power to enforce those doctrines in the form of Sharia law.

“I would never write the same kind of stuff that I do about certain religions – Judaism, Christianity, LDS, whatever – as I would about Islam – just straight up fear.

“I know what keeps me from critiquing Islam on my blog is just fear. I’ve got three kids, so I know I can say anything about Christianity or Mormonism, and I’m not living in fear, which is a testament to Christianity and Mormonism, and that’s wonderful. Thank you.”

Thank YOU, Professor Zuckerman, for openly admitting that the atheistic left is perfectly happy to bully members of other religions that turn the other cheek but doesn’t have the courage to challenge, much less confront, members of a religion that will kill you for it.

Israel hosts its largest-ever international air force exercise

A number of other countries, including Germany, also sent pilots and officers to observe the exercise, but did not take part.

This joint drill is the second “Blue Flag” exercise; the first took place in 2013 and was the largest multi-lateral exercise the IAF had ever hosted.

The various air forces collaborated closely through every step of the current exercise, the IAF captain said, from planning to execution and finally to debriefing.

Though the exercise began on October 18, planning for it started nearly eight months ago, the Israeli official said, with an IAF representative contacting each participating country and initially asking, “What do you want to train for?”

Those requests came together to form the plan for “Blue Flag,” which sent Israeli and American F-15 squadrons, along with Israeli, Hellenic and Polish F-16 squadrons, flying through nearly all of Israel’s air space, firing simulated weapons against fictional enemy missile launchers, convoys and aircraft, he said.

Though the drill was intensive and demanding, it was designed more to test the mettle of the men and women behind the controls than to test the technical capabilities of the fighter jets themselves.

“We wanted it to be challenging for the airmen, rather than for the machines,” said the IAF captain, who cannot be named for security reasons.

In order to “put the airmen through their paces,” he explained, the people running the exercise tried to surprise them, putting them in situations where “the pilot doesn’t know where their target is coming from.”

“Blue Flag” ends next Thursday.

The Eco-Apocalypse in Indonesia That No One is Talking About

Some of the most devastating fires the world has ever seen are happening right now in Indonesia, and this unfolding disaster is getting little attention. Annual fires during the dry season have become typical in the last 20 years or so as slash and burn rainforest farming techniques have ravaged this once pristine part of the world, but now this year they are catastrophic. Some 5000 fires have burned in Borneo alone in just the last 2 months.

“A great tract of Earth is on fire. It looks as you might imagine hell to be. The air has turned ochre: visibility in some cities has been reduced to 30 metres. Children are being prepared for evacuation in warships; already some have choked to death. Species are going up in smoke at an untold rate. It is almost certainly the greatest environmental disaster of the 21st century – so far.” – George Monbiot

This year’s fires are shaping up to be some of the worst fires on record, as a stretch of some 5000 km of land is burning, casting a deadly cloud of particulate haze over millions of people. These types of fires are unique because it is not just the trees and vegetation that burn, as most of the fires are occurring in the vast tropical peatlands of the rainforest.

Here, the land itself actually catches fire, not just trees and vegetation, because great swaths of the forest sit on enormous peat domes that act as fuel under such dry conditions that have been exacerbated this year by the El Nino weather phenomenon. When the layers of peat are penetrated by fire, then they can smolder for weeks or even months continually releasing toxic gasses which extend for hundreds of miles.

“Peat is formed under very wet conditions, when dead plant material is unable to decay in the flooded environment. This leads to a build-up of partially decomposed organic matter, which over time accumulates in peat domes, like the Sabangau Forest… Here, the peat is around 26,000 years old and measures more than 12 metres deep in the centre.”

Why are the fires so intense this year as compared to previous years? Journalist George Monbiot, author of Poisoned Arrows, writes, for the Guardian:

Indonesia’s forests have been fragmented for decades by timber and farming companies. Canals have been cut through the peat to drain and dry it. Plantation companies move in to destroy what remains of the forest to plant monocultures of pulpwood, timber and palm oil. The easiest way to clear the land is to torch it. Every year, this causes disasters. But in an extreme El Niño year like this one, we have a perfect formula for environmental catastrophe. – George Monbiot

The burning of land by both corporations and by small land holders has become a serious social and political issue, but the greatest damage may be inflicted upon wildlife and other invaluable treasures.

“The fires are destroying treasures as precious and irreplaceable as the archaeological remains being levelled by Isis. Orangutans, clouded leopards, sun bears, gibbons, the Sumatran rhinoceros and Sumatran tiger, these are among the threatened species being driven from much of their range by the flames. But there are thousands, perhaps millions, more.” -George Monbiot

Tragically, the fires are devastating Indonesian Borneo and places like Gunung Palung National Park, home to some of the largest populations of orangutans on the planet. Several organizations are working tirelessly to evacuate trapped animals, but the toll on wildlife in Indonesia is already staggering. Some estimate that as many as 20,000 orangutans may be wiped out.

The effect on cities and surrounding urban areas from the haze and particulate from the smoke is causing an extreme emergency, affecting millions of people. In the city of Palangkaraya, visibility has dropped to as low as 20 meters, and fatalities from respiratory problems are rising.

Some are already calling this the greatest ecological catastrophe of the 21 st century so far, and some are even calling it a crime against humanity, as the fires have stoked political flames as well between regional governments. Yet this disaster is receiving very little coverage in the mainstream media, which is, as always, distracting us by featuring ridiculous news about scandals, celebrities and political candidates.

The 1st of October came and went without financial armageddon. Veteran forecaster Martin Armstrong, who accurately predicted the 1987 crash, used the same model to suggest that 1 October would be a major turning point for global markets. Some investors even put bets on it. But the passing of the predicted global crash is only good news to a point. Many indicators in global finance are pointing downwards – and some even think the crash has begun.

Let’s assemble the evidence. First, the unsustainable debt. Since 2007, the pile of debt in the world has grown by $57tn (£37tn). That’s a compound annual growth rate of 5.3%, significantly beating GDP. Debts have doubled in the so-called emerging markets, while rising by just over a third in the developed world.

John Maynard Keynes once wrote that money is a “link to the future” – meaning that what we do with money is a signal of what we think is going to happen in the future. What we’ve done with credit since the global crisis of 2008 is expand it faster than the economy – which can only be done rationally if we think the future is going to be much richer than the present.

This summer, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) pointed out that certain major economies were seeing a sharp rise in debt-to-GDP ratios, which were well outside historic norms. In China, the rest of Asia and Brazil, private-sector borrowing has risen so quickly that BIS’s dashboard of risk is flashing red. In two thirds of all cases, red warnings such as this are followed by a major banking crisis within three years.
The underlying cause of this debt glut is the $12tn of free or cheap money created by central banks since 2009, combined with near-zero interest rates. When the real price of money is close to zero, people borrow and worry about the consequences later.

Next, let’s look at the price of real things. Oil collapsed first, in mid 2014, falling from $110 a barrel to $49 now, despite a slight rebound in the interim. Next came commodities. Copper cost $4.50 a pound in 2011, but was half that in September. Inflation across the entire G7 is barely above zero, and deflation stalks the southern eurozone. World trade volumes have contracted tangibly since December 2014, according to the Dutch government index, while the value of global trade in primary commodities, which scored 150 on the same index a year ago, now stands at 114.

In these circumstances, the only way in which the expanding credit mountain can be an accurate signal about the future is if we are about to go through a spectacular productivity boom. The technology is there to do that, but the social arrangements are not. The market rewards companies that create labour exchanges for minicab drivers with multibillion-dollar valuations. Hot money chases after computing graduates with good ideas, but that is – at this phase of the cycle – as much an indicator of the stupidity of the money as the brightness of the ideas.

China – the engine of the post-2009 global recovery – is slowing markedly. Japan just revised its growth projections down, despite being in the middle of a massive money-printing programme. The eurozone is stagnant. In the US, growth, which recovered well under QE, has faltered after the withdrawal of QE.

In short, as the BIS economists put it, this is “a world in which debt levels are too high, productivity growth too weak and financial risks too threatening”. It’s impossible to extrapolate from all this the date the crash will happen, or the form it will take. All we know is there is a mismatch between rising credit, falling growth, trade and prices, and a febrile financial market, which, at present, keeps switchback riding as money flows from one sector, or geographic region, to another.

A better exercise is to image what archetypes a dramatist might use if they tried to write a farce describing the state of society on the eve of yet another disaster. There would be a character obsessed with property: London is fizzing with young professionals trying to clinch property deals right now. The riverbanks of the Thames are forested with cranes, show apartments and half-occupied speculative developments that will, after the crash, make great social housing.

Then there would have to be a hapless central banker, optimistically “looking through” the figures for low growth, stagnant prices and collapsing trade in order to justify doing nothing.

But the protagonist would have to be a politician. The Kingston University economist Steve Keen points out that, in the run up to 2008, the flawed ideology of neoliberal economics made a dangerous situation worse. Economists put their professional imprimatur on the idea that risky investments were safe. Today, the stable door of economics is firmly shut. Even mainstream bank economists are calling for radical measures to revive growth: Nick Kounis, ABN Amro’s macro-economics chief, called on central banks to raise their inflation targets to 4% and flood the world with money in a coordinated survival strategy.

Instead, it is in the world of geopolitics that the danger of elite groupthink is clearest. The economic danger becomes clear if you understand that printing $12tn incentivises every country to dump the final cost of anti-crisis measures on someone else. But there is now also clear geopolitical risk.

The oil price collapsed because the Saudis wanted to stymie the US fracking industry. Right now, although Russian and American diplomats are capable of sitting together in Vienna, their strike-attack pilots do not communicate as they attack their variously selected enemies on the ground in Syria. Europe, weakened by the Greek crisis, its cross-border institutions thrown into chaos by the refugee crisis, looks incapable of doing anything to anybody.

So, the biggest risk to the world, despite its growing seriousness, is not the deflation of a bubble. It is the risk of that becoming intertwined with geopolitics. Any politician who minimises or ignores this risk is doing what the purblind economists did in the run up to 2008.

(When a newspaper, like the Guardian, runs an article which states “after the crash” it would seem to be evident that it is close. The Guardian is a mouth piece owned by the “elite”. It is one of Britains most authorative news papers after the Times. We have noticed over the years that the elite, through their media, many times mention coming events. A German official has said that Angela Merkel's open door migrant policy will lead to 'civil war' after thousands marched through one city's streets holding crucifixes during an anti-Islam protest.

Hansjoerg Mueller, of the Alternative for Germany party, said the country was 'sliding towards anarchy' and risks becoming a 'banana republic without any government'.

He made the claims after about 8,000 people joined the anti-Islam Pegida movement for a rally in Dresden over Angela Merkel's decision to allow up to one million migrants into the country this year.

Some demonstrators held crucifixes and upside-down German flags while others shouted 'Merkel out!' alongside doctored images of the German Chancellor in a burqa and a Nazi outfit.

The group's leaders, who have been described by German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere as 'hard right-wing extremists', are demanding an immediate end to the policy.

Mr Mueller was later asked for his views on remarks made by Bavarian official Peter Dreier. Mr Dreier had reportedly told Merkel that his town of Landshut would only take 1,800 refugees if a million were welcomed to the country - insisting that the rest would be put on buses to Berlin.

Mr Mueller told RT: 'Usually he does not have the power, but we are not living in usual times.

He added: 'Germany now is somewhere at the edge of anarchy and sliding towards civil war, or to become a banana republic without any government.'

Video of today's protest emerged on YouTube as prosecutors have opened an investigation into the group's founder for slander after he compared the justice minister to Hitler's head of propaganda Joseph Goebbels.

Lutz Bachmann said Social Democrat (SPD) minister Heiko Maas was the 'worst spiritual fire raiser' since Goebbels and Karl-Eduard von Schnitzler.

Von Schnitzler was a television commentator in Communist East Germany who strongly criticised Western governments and media.

The comment is the latest in a series of provocative remarks made at the regular rallies of Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West (PEGIDA).

Only two weeks ago, a speaker said that concentration camps were 'unfortunately out of action'.

The refugee crisis in Europe has boosted the popularity of Pegida's rallies in the eastern city of Dresden and raised fears about right-wing radicalism.

Many voters are worried about how Germany will cope with an influx of about one million migrants this year, many fleeing wars in the Middle East and Africa.

Social Democrats, who share power with Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservatives, expressed outrage at Bachmann's comment.

SPD General Secretary Yasmin Fahimi said it was deceitful and disgusting.

A spokeswoman for Dresden prosecutors said they had started an investigation into slander.

But Bachmann said on his Facebook page that he would not be silenced.

'If the Sharia Party of Germany (SPD) and the whole press... demand hundreds of thousands of investigations, YOU WILL NOT GAG ME! I will still say openly what I think.'

Bachmann has already been charged by Dresden prosecutors with incitement because of a post on social media last year in which he described refugees and asylum seekers as 'animals' and 'scumbags'.

No trial date has yet been set.

He quit as leader of PEGIDA earlier this year after a photo was published of him posing as Hitler which led to internal squabbles and the grassroots movement all but fizzled out until the migrants crisis swept Europe.

Support for Merkel's conservatives has dropped over her handling of the refugee crisis while the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AfD) is up in opinion polls.

Polish soccer fans attending a Silesian Wroclaw match against Poznan took a time-out from cheering their team to unfurl a massive, 50-foot by 75-foot banner in the stands that contained a clear message to the wave of migrants seeking refuge in Europe: You’re not welcome here.

The banner was hand-painted and showed pictures of boats carrying migrants – some of whom had their fingers lifted in the air, making the internationally recognized salute to ISIS – about to land on the shores of Europe, Breitbart reported. The backdrop included a huge image of the crest of the Silesian Wroclaw football club – a crusader in St. George’s cross gear with sword drawn and shield held, alongside the text: “While Europe Is Flooded With An Islamic Plague.”

Beneath, a second 100-foot wide banner waved with the message, in Polish writing: “Let Us Stand In Defence Of Christianity,” Breitbart reported.

The Wroclaw club is one of the largest in Poland and is politically active, often displaying at matches anti-communist messages, Breitbart said.

India wants people to turn in their gold

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a program to lure tons of gold from households into the country’s banking system. The program consists of three schemes; a gold monetization scheme, gold sovereign bonds and Indian gold coin.

The gold monetization scheme aims to unlock about 20,000 tons of gold worth over $800 billion lying idle in homes and temples. Under the plan, banks will collect gold for up to 15 years and pay 2.25-2.50 percent interest per year. This is higher than previous rates of around one percent. The government hopes that higher interest rates will help in mobilizing the gold as previous attempts have been unsuccessful.

"Gold is a security, it gives you earnings and now on it is going to be a part of our nation building," Modi said.

By launching sovereign gold bonds with 2.75 percent interest, Indian authorities hope to cut the physical buying of the precious metal.

Modi has also unveiled the first Indian gold coin which is initially to be available in denominations of 5 and 10 grams.

The Prime Minister said the country has overtaken China as the world's largest gold consumer, buying 562 tons so far this year, against China's 548 tons.

In 2013, India’s budget deficit hit a record $190 billion. The deficit was due in part to Indians spending a lot of money on gold imports. The government was forced to hike its duty on imports to a record 10 percent. Imports of gold fell to $34 billion in 2014-2015.

Indians are known for their obsession with gold, which is seen as symbol of social status and prosperity. Gold is widely used for wedding gifts, religious donations and as an investment.

NSA Partner in Crime? Microsoft Admits Windows 10 Auto-Spying Can’t Be Disabled

Much has been made about NSA spying and bulk data collection of American citizens, as well as an increasing loss of privacy in the face of the new digital Big Brother State – but amazingly, few are really aware of the fact that even the NSA needs working partners in crime to carry out their assault on American freedoms guaranteed in the US Constitution, specifically those enshrined in the 4th Amendment.

One such partner in crime appears to be Microsoft Corporation based in Redmond, near Seattle. Upon further examination, it appears that Microsoft’s new “operating” (policing) system, Windows 10, has given itself permission to watch your every move through its built-in spying feature.

You have to ask yourself: how out of touch is Microsoft that, in light of the Edward Snowden revelations and the rest too – that it would have the outright gall to build a back door into its latest OS and make it a nonnegotiable clause in the customer’s the Terms and Conditions?

Techworm confirms the brazen move by Gatestown product engineers:

“As more and more users are jumping the queue to download the Windows 10 through the Windows Insider Program, almost all of them have forgotten to check the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions users accept while downloading the Windows 10. If you study the privacy policy you will be startled at the amount of freedom you are giving Microsoft to spy on you.”

According to its Terms and Conditions, Microsoft has all but invited itself into your private domain 24/7:

“Microsoft collects information about you, your devices, applications and networks, and your use of those devices, applications and networks. Examples of data we collect include your name, email address, preferences and interests; browsing, search and file history; phone call and SMS data; device configuration and sensor data; and application usage.”

According the Forbes writer Gordon Kelly, “.. despite offering some options to turn elements of tracking off, core data collection simply cannot be stopped.”

Speaking to PC World, Microsoft VP Joe Belfiore admitted, “In the cases where we’ve not provided options, we feel that those things have to do with the health of the system,” he said. “In the case of knowing that our system that we’ve created is crashing, or is having serious performance problems, we view that as so helpful to the ecosystem and so not an issue of personal privacy, that today we collect that data so that we make that experience better for everyone.”

Now you have to ask yourself the question: how tight is Microsoft’s top brass with spy chiefs at the NSA?

Earlier this summer, we learned how NSA spying relies on AT&T’s “extreme willingness to help”, which should give us an idea of the scale of corporate collusion with the NSA.

In the wake of the early Snowden releases, The Guardian laid the foundation to this narrative:

“One slide in the undated PowerPoint presentation, published as part of the Guardian’s NSA Files: Decoded project, illustrates the number of intelligence reports being generated from data collected from the companies. In the five weeks from June 5 2010, the period covered by the document, data from Yahoo generated by far the most reports, followed by Microsoft and then Google. Between them, the three companies accounted for more than 2,000 reports in that period – all but a tiny fraction of the total produced under one of the NSA’s main foreign intelligence authorities, the Fisa Amendments Act (FAA).”

In addition to all this, you have the issue of whether or not Microsoft has embedded a heavy-handed ‘TPP‘ backdoor access clause in its privacy terms as well. The following was brought to light by a Reddit user recently:

“Here is there Privacy Statement where they state:

Finally, we will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to:

1. comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including from law enforcement or other government agencies;

2. protect our customers, for example to prevent spam or attempts to defraud users of the services, or to help prevent the loss of life or serious injury of anyone;

3. operate and maintain the security of our services, including to prevent or stop an attack on our computer systems or networks; or

4. protect the rights or property of Microsoft, including enforcing the terms governing the use of the services – however, if we receive information indicating that someone is using our services to traffic in stolen intellectual or physical property of Microsoft, we will not inspect a customer’s private content ourselves, but we may refer the matter to law enforcement.

Yeah I don’t want to give them access to ANY of my hard drives contents. Is there any way to turn this off?”

So, Microsoft has been at it for quite sometime.

Considering how this company has enjoyed a license to print money since the late 1980’s, you would think that they would be more appreciative of the millions of customers who have made so many millionaires, and billionaires in Seattle and beyond. You’d think that Microsoft might just stand up for the privacy of the little man, right?

You’d think so, but then again… you might be wrong.

Can gratitude heal disease?

(NaturalHealth365) For years, the only studies being done on the relationship between the emotions and physical health had to do with negative ones such as anger, fear and hopelessness. In recent years, however, there has been a flood of studies that have focused on the other side of the coin – how positive emotions, and especially feelings of gratitude, can have an effect on the body and on physical health.

The results of these studies point to a clear connection between the cultivation of positive emotional states and healing from and surviving major illness, including cancer.

What research says about positive emotions

There were less than two dozen scientific studies about the effects of gratitude on physical health coming into the second millennium. By 2011, there were over 150. The surge has to do with developments in the fields of positive psychology and neuropsychoimmunology and represents only a fraction of the research being conducted on the emotion-body connection today.

Neuropsychoimmunologist and molecular biologist Candace Pert, PhD, explains in her book Molecules of Emotion: The Science behind Body-Mind Medicine, how lignans and receptor sites in the brain work together through peptides to form specific physical responses to emotionally-charged stimuli:

“…A chain reaction of biochemical events is initiated as tiny machines roar into action and, directed by the message of the ligand, begin any number of activities – manufacturing new proteins, making decisions about cell division, opening or closing ion channels, adding or subtracting energetic chemical groups such as the phosphates – to name just a few. In short, the life of the cell, what it is up to at any moment, is determined by which receptors are on its surface, and whether those receptors are occupied by ligands or not. On a more global scale, these minute physiological phenomena at the cellular level can translate to large changes in behavior, physical activity, even mood.”

How emotions stir up body chemistry and affect our health

It is easy to visualize the real-time outcome of all this microscopic hubbub when one is face to face with a bear in the woods or the tirades of a difficult boss. The body stiffens, the mind narrows and focuses in on the perceived danger and the limbic brain signals the production of adrenaline and cortisol, producing the flight-or-fight response.

But what happens when positive emotions occur? Research around the chemistry of emotions such as joy, love and gratitude is still in its infancy, but many experts suspect that the chain-reaction of events created by positive emotions still spurs from chemical interactions in the limbic brain, albeit in slightly different locations than with negative emotions.

Positive emotions release substances such as dopamine and oxytocin which produce what social psychologist Barbara Frederickson calls the “broaden and build theory” of positive emotions. With positive emotions, instead of narrowing thoughts and stiffening bodily reactions, there is a broadening and expanding on all levels. The mind opens to greater possibilities. The immediate physical effects of this expansion include changes in breathing patterns and pulse as well as a balancing out of hormone levels and blood pressure.

How exactly does gratitude help us heal the body?

Fredrickson says that emotions such as gratitude can effect individuals in the moment – such as helping the mind discover creative options to a real-time situation and bodily regulations in blood pressure – as well as into the future. The long-lasting effects of positive emotions happen in a building-block sort of way: joy can lead to openness to others; interest can lead to exploration and personal growth; love can lead to closer relationships, and so on.

On the physical level, positive emotions may create increased balance on all levels, which can lead to higher tolerance to infection, higher immune system function, lower systemic inflammation and, ultimately, increased survivability when it comes to major illnesses such as cancer.

Here is just a small sampling of studies done in 2015 alone in the field of positive emotion and major illness:

A study conducted through the University of Missouri- Columbia contacted breast cancer survivors 30 months after post-treatment. They found that “themes central to long-term survivorship experiences included social support, positive worldviews, breast cancer and lymphedema health literacy, religious/spiritual beliefs, self-empowerment, and recovery expectations. These themes were consistent with a psychoneuroimmunological model of health in which psychosocial variables mediate stress and influence health outcomes.”

• A study conducted by the Tumor Center at the University of Regensburg in Regensburg, Germany analyzed the subjective experience of breast cancer survivors in Bavaria, Germany seven years after the fact. 42% of the respondents indicated that thinking positive and a “fighting spirit” was the most important advice they would give other breast cancer patients.

• A study conducted by Capitol Medical University in Beijing, China found a “significant relationship between positive emotions, blood pressure regulation among elderly people with cardiovascular disease.”

• A report published in the journal of the American Psychological Association and conducted by the UC San Diego Center for Excellence for Research and Training in Integrative Health and the Chopra Foundation found that patients who displayed more outward tendencies towards gratitude slept better, had less fatigue, were less prone to depression and experienced less systemic inflammation.

As the research into the connection between positive emotions and health continues, there is mounting evidence that this connection is real and can possibly even save lives.
