Returned Again With Joy

Dear Friends,

Greetings! Many of you will be familiar with the story of King Saul, Israel's first king. Saul ended up a failure as a king because he did not obey the words of God through His prophet Samuel.

As a consequence of this, Samuel, pronounced a judgement against Saul in the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 15.

Samuel told Saul: “Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, the Lord also shall reject thee from being king over Israel.”

And immediately following, in chapter 16, of 1 Samuel, we read: “And the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him. And Saul’s servants said to him, Behold now, an evil spirit from the Lord torments thee. 16 Let now thy servants speak before thee, and let them seek for our lord a man skilled to play on the harp; and it shall come to pass when an evil spirit comes upon thee and he shall play on his harp, that thou shalt be well, and he shall refresh thee.” 1 Samuel 16:14:16

It shouldn't seem too unusual that the Lord was the one that sent the evil spirit as we read in Luke 10:17 that “…even the devils are subject unto us through thy name (Jesus).”

Now, where do these evil spirit demons come from and where did they originate.

If most people were to even think about this question, most would say the fallen angels spoken of in Genesis, chapter six.

“And it came to pass when men began to be numerous upon the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God having seen the daughters of men that they were beautiful, took to themselves wives of all whom they chose. And the Lord God said, My Spirit shall certainly not remain among these men for ever, because they are flesh, but their days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Now the giants were upon the earth in those days; and after that when the sons of God were wont to go in to the daughters of men, they bore children to them, those were the giants of old, the men of renown.” Genesis 6:2-5

However, we wanted to look more closely and see if that conclusion is actually correct.

There are certain books called pseudepigraphical which “dictionary.com” describes as “certain writings (other than the canonical books and the Apocrypha) professing to be Biblical in character”.

Probably the best known of these books is the book of Enoch. Jude makes reference to Enoch when mentioning the fallen angels.

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” 1:6,14,15

Here is what Wikipedia has to say about the book of Enoch.

“The Book of Enoch (also 1 Enoch;[1] Ge'ez: mätṣḥäfä henok) is an ancient Jewish religious work, ascribed by tradition to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah, although modern scholars estimate the older sections (mainly in the Book of the Watchers) to date from about 300 BC, and the latest part (Book of Parables) probably to the first century BC.[2]

It is not part of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. Most Christian denominations and traditions may accept the Books of Enoch as having some historical or theological interest or significance, but they generally regard the Books of Enoch as non-canonical or non-inspired.[3] It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, but not by any other Christian group.

It is wholly extant only in the Ge'ez language, with Aramaic fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls and a few Greek and Latin fragments. For this and other reasons, the traditional Ethiopian belief is that the original language of the work was Ge'ez, whereas non-Ethiopian scholars tend to assert that it was first written in either Aramaic or Hebrew; Ephraim Isaac suggests that the Book of Enoch, like the Book of Daniel, was composed partially in Aramaic and partially in Hebrew.[4]:6 No Hebrew version is known to have survived. It is asserted in the book itself that its author was Enoch, before the Biblical Flood.

The authors of the New Testament were familiar with the content of the story and influenced by it:[5] a short section of 1 Enoch (1 En 1:9 or 1 En 2:1 depending on the translation) is quoted in the New Testament, Epistle of Jude, Jude 1:14–15, and is attributed there to "Enoch the Seventh from Adam" (1 En 60:8). The text was also utilised by the community that originally collected the Dead Sea Scrolls.”

Another pseudepigraphical book not quite as well known as the Book of Enoch is the Book of Jubilees. This is what Wikipedia has to say about the Book of Jubilees.

“The Book of Jubilees, sometimes called Lesser Genesis (Leptogenesis), is an ancient Jewish religious work of 50 chapters, considered canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church as well as Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jews), where it is known as the Book of Division (Ge'ez: Mets'hafe Kufale). Jubilees is considered one of the pseudepigrapha by Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox Churches.

It was well known to Early Christians, as evidenced by the writings of Epiphanius, Justin Martyr, Origen, Diodorus of Tarsus, Isidore of Alexandria, Isidore of Seville, Eutychius of Alexandria, John Malalas, George Syncellus, and George Kedrenos. The text was also utilized by the community that originally collected the Dead Sea Scrolls. No complete Hebrew, Greek or Latin version is known to have survived.”

These two books, Enoch and Jubilees, tell us the origins of the evil spirits of demons as you will read below.

1 Enoch Chapter XV

6. But you (fallen angels) were formerly spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world.

7. And therefore I have not appointed wives for you; for as for the spiritual ones of the heaven, in heaven is their dwelling.

8. And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling.

1 Enoch CHAPTER XVI

1. From the days of the slaughter and destruction and death of the giants , from the souls of whose flesh the spirits, having gone forth, shall destroy without incurring judgement--thus shall they destroy until the day of the consummation, the great judgement in which the age shall be consummated, over the Watchers and the godless, yea, shall be wholly consummated."

2. And now as to the Watchers who have sent thee to intercede for them, who had been aforetime in heaven, (say to them): "You have been in heaven, but all the mysteries had not yet been revealed to you, and you knew worthless ones, and these in the hardness of your hearts you have made known to the women, and through these mysteries women and men work much evil on earth."

4. Say to them therefore: "You have no peace."'

Jubilees Chapter 10

1 And in the third week of this jubilee the unclean demons began to lead astray the children of

2 the sons of Noah, and to make to err and destroy them. And the sons of Noah came to Noah their father, and they told him concerning the demons which were leading astray and blinding and

3 slaying his sons' sons. And he prayed before the Lord his God, and said: 'God of the spirits of all flesh, who hast shown mercy unto me And hast saved me and my sons from the waters of the flood, And hast not caused me to perish as Thou didst the sons of perdition; For Thy grace has been great towards me, And great has been Thy mercy to my soul; Let Thy grace be lift up upon my sons, And let not wicked spirits rule over them Lest they should destroy them from the earth.

4 But do Thou bless me and my sons, that we may increase and Multiply and replenish the earth.

5 And Thou knowest how Thy Watchers, the fathers of these spirits, acted in my day: and as for these spirits which are living, imprison them and hold them fast in the place of condemnation, and let them not bring destruction on the sons of thy servant, my God; for these are malignant, and

6 created in order to destroy. And let them not rule over the spirits of the living; for Thou alone canst exercise dominion over them. And let them not have power over the sons of the righteous

7,8 from henceforth and for evermore.' And the Lord our God bade us to bind all. And the chief of the spirits, Mastema, came and said: 'Lord, Creator, let some of them remain before me, and let them harken to my voice, and do all that I shall say unto them; for if some of them are not left to me, I shall not be able to execute the power of my will on the sons of men; for these are for corruption and leading astray before my judgment, for great is the wickedness of the sons of men.'

9 And He said: Let the tenth part of them remain before him, and let nine parts descend into the

10 place of condemnation.' And one of us He commanded that we should teach Noah all their 11 medicines; for He knew that they would not walk in uprightness, nor strive in righteousness. And we did according to all His words: all the malignant evil ones we bound in the place of condemna-

12 tion and a tenth part of them we left that they might be subject before Satan on the earth. And we explained to Noah all the medicines of their diseases, together with their seductions, how he

13 might heal them with herbs of the earth. And Noah wrote down all things in a book as we instructed him concerning every kind of medicine. Thus the evil spirits were precluded from

14 (hurting) the sons of Noah.

1 Enoch 10:11-15 And the Lord said unto Michael: ‘Go, bind Semyaza and his associates who have united themselves with women so as to have defiled themselves with them in all their uncleanness. And when their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth, till the day of their judgement and of their consummation, till the judgement that is for ever and ever is consummated. In those days they shall be led off to the abyss of fire: and to the torment and the prison in which they shall be confined for ever. And whosoever shall be condemned and destroyed will from thenceforth be bound together with them to the end of all generations.

To summarize the above quotes from the books of Enoch and Jubilees the evil spirits or demons are ten percent of the spirits of the offspring of the fallen angels, Watchers, and human women.

Jesus said in Matthew 24: “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

As we have already pointed out above, one of the prominent things happening in Genesis chapter 6, just before Noah entered the Ark was the presence of giants, Nephilim.

Could this also happen just before the return of Jesus? George H. Pember believed this would be the case in his book published in 1880, “Earth's Earliest Ages.”

“George Hawkins Pember (1836 - 1910), was an English theologian and author affiliated with the Plymouth Brethren. His works included The Antichrist, Babylon and the Coming Kingdom, The Great Prophecies of the centuries concerning Israel and the Gentiles, Mystery Babylon the Great, and others. Earth's Earliest Ages is considered by many his Magnum Opus and has been touted worldwide as a classical masterpiece.”

Here is an excerpt from page 180 of “Earth's Earliest Ages”.

“AS IT WAS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH”

Retrospect.

We have thus endeavoured to trace the flow of history from its source to the great catastrophe which swept corruption and violence from the earth. We have seen its clear spring proceeding from the throne of the Everlasting God, and have then lost sight of it as it wound its way through vast regions that may not be trodden by mortal foot. Once or twice we have climbed an accessible height, and from the far distance gazed with strained eyes upon something which sparkled in the rays of God’s Word, and which we supposed to be the waters of the river we were seeking; but we could obtain no certain knowledge of the mysterious stream, until we saw its turbid and foaming torrent emerging in fearful cataract from between the dark mountains which concealed its previous course.

We have followed it into a land of delight, in which it gradually calmed and brightened again, while its banks teemed with all that is beautiful and lovely: we have traced it as it passed the limits of that joyous realm, and hurried through dry and barren tracts, with ever increasing volume and rapidity, till at length its agitated waters were violently engulphed in the great ocean of the flood.

The warning of Christ. Does it apply to our times?

We must not, however, dismiss the story of doom which we have just been considering without some reflections on the solemn warning drawn from it by the Saviour. “But as the days of Noah were,” is His awful declaration, “so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.” Thus the closing scenes of this present age will be a reproduction of the days of Noah: the same intense worldliness, and at last positive inability to care for the things of God, which was displayed by the antediluvians, will also be characteristic of our world when Christ begins the judgments that will quickly culminate in the glory of His appearing.

It seems fair, then, to infer that this second manifestation of the spirit that worked in them which were disobedient before the flood will be effected by a conjunction of causes similar to that which formerly produced it. And hence, as we have already remarked, it becomes a matter of the greatest practical importance to comprehend those causes: for whenever they are again found to be simultaneously affecting the masses of the world’s population, the fact will afford a strong presumption that we are drifting rapidly to the great consummation of wickedness; that the avenging glory of the Lord is about to be revealed, so that all flesh shall see it together.

For us, therefore, the great question is, Are these fatal influences now in operation? Are they more universally characteristic of this epoch than of any other? Mature consideration has impelled many to return an affirmative answer: let us see whether facts warrant us in holding the same view. It is impossible to exaggerate our interest in the investigation. If the present times are only beginning to take the complexion of those of Noah, they send forth a piercing cry of warning, admonishing us to stand with our loins girded about and our lamps burning, waiting for the summons of the Lord. For He will remove His Church, as He removed Enoch, before the wickedness of man has come to its worst. He will take away that which He Himself has called the salt of the earth, and then the corruption of all flesh will go on unchecked, and the world speedily ripen for its doom.

The seven causes of antediluvian corruption. Are they all in present operation?

The seven great causes of the antediluvian apostacy have been already noticed, and may be summed up as follows.

I. A tendency to worship God as Elohim, that is, merely as the Creator and Benefactor, and not as Jehovah the covenant God of mercy, dealing with transgressors who are appointed to destruction, and finding a ransom for them.

II. An undue prominence of the female sex, and a disregard of the primal law of marriage.

III. A rapid progress in the mechanical arts, and the consequent invention of many devices whereby the hardships of the curse were mitigated, and life was rendered more easy and indulgent. Also a proficiency in the fine arts, which captivated the minds of men, and helped to induce an entire oblivion of God.

IV. An alliance between the nominal Church and the World, which speedily resulted in a complete amalgamation.

V. A vast increase of population.

VI. The rejection of the preaching of Enoch, whose warnings thus became a saviour of death unto the world, and hardened men beyond recovery.

VII. The appearance upon earth of beings from the Principality of the Air, and their unlawful intercourse with the human race.

These causes concurred to envelope the world in a sensuous mist which no ray of truth could penetrate. They brought about a total forgetfulness of God and disregard of His will; and thus, by removing the great Centre Who alone is able to attract men from them- selves, rendered the dwellers upon earth so selfish and unscrupulous that the world was presently filled with lewdness, injustice, oppression, and bloodshed. It remains, therefore, for us to consider whether similar influences are now acting upon society.”

"The influences of the Spirit of God are even now in process of withdrawal, as He prepares for that departure from earth which will leave it open for Nephilim, seven fold worse than those who formerly dwelt in it, to enter, and for a short season to work their will upon the human race… Then will all the Nephilim, who are yet at liberty, be among men, and will quickly make them feel the meaning of that awful utterance, 'Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the Devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.'"

Remember Luke 21:26: “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” The key words here being “coming on the earth”.

Where have the giants and these spirits been confined? In the earth? There are many Bible scholars and teachers that believe this to be the case, that the Nephilim will walk the earth once again as they did in the days of Noah.

Isaiah 13:2-3 would also seem to bear this out when the gates are opened.

“Lift up a standard on the mountain of the plain, exalt the voice to them, beckon with the hand, open the gates, ye rulers. I give command, and I bring them: giants are coming to fulfil my wrath, rejoicing at the same time and insulting.”

An interesting verse out of Revelation 12:10 comes to mind considering all of the above.
 “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength,

and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our

brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”

This verse of course takes place at the beginning of the Tribulation. When Satan is cast out of heaven and the giants return, will their demonic spirits no longer be able to attack us spiritually? What do you think?

In a shocking interview, Pope Francis likened Jesus Christ to ISIS and said Muslim migrants must breed with Europeans to counter “declining birth rates.”

“Today, I don’t think that there is a fear of Islam as such but of ISIS and its war of conquest, which is partly drawn from Islam,” he told French newspaper La Croix. “It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam, however, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.”

The Pope also said he “dreaded” hearing about the “Christian roots of Europe” because, to him, they take on “colonialist overtones” and he called on European nations to “integrate” Muslim migrants into the continent.

“This integration is all the more necessary today since, as a result of a selfish search for well-being, Europe is experiencing the grave problem of a declining birth rate,” he stated. “A demographic emptiness is developing.”

Spanish students to undertake compulsory course on exorcisms

Students in Spain are reportedly being made to undertake a course on exorcisms as part of their studies.

The series of compulsory seminars are being taught at the University College of Barberán and Collán, which is part of the Complutense University of Madrid - one of the oldest institutions in the world - and is also said to be funded by Spain’s Ministry of Defence.

According to Spanish newspaper El Diario, the college’s entire student body - all of whom are members of military families - will have to attend the theological conference centred on “the fields related to the devil, exorcisms, being possessed, and hell.”

Local media reports have described how some students have expressed “outrage” at the new move, however, no one is yet known to have made any formal complaint.

A spokeswoman for the college confirmed to The Local there was, indeed, a new seminar on exorcism, though the site reports she was unable to confirm any other details.

Entitled ‘The Evil’, the seminars will be carried out by Roman Catholic priest, Father José Antonio Fortea Cucurull, author of the 2004 book, Summa daemoniaca, a treatise on demonology which also includes a ‘how-to’ exorcism manual.

In 2010, the priest made headlines in Colombia after telling a local newspaper the existence of the devil was real, but that he did not have“horns, wings, or a tail.”

Decades after war, churches near Jesus' baptism site to be cleared of mines

West Bank (CNN)On a sunburnt stretch of desert near the Jordan River, a weather-beaten Romanian Orthodox church waits for its first visitor in 50 years.

The gated entrance has long since fallen apart, its marble column leaning toward the morning sun. The path to the church -- if it ever was a path -- is a thick quilt of shrubs and thistles.

Despite being long abandoned, the church retains much of its historic beauty. A colorful mural of a scene from the Bible, half-visible above the entrance to the church, has dulled over time, but is still magnificent. The church door stands open as if ready to welcome the faithful.

The land on which the church sits is near one of the holiest Christian sites in the world -- the place where Christians believe Jesus Christ was baptized in the Jordan River.

There are several other churches at the site, but no one has come near them in decades because they are surrounded by nearly 5,000 landmines.

Barbed-wire fences keep visitors far away, with signs warning "DANGER MINES!" in Arabic, English, and Hebrew. When the Six-Day War ended in an uneasy ceasefire in 1967, the Israeli and Jordanian armies laid mines across the area.

The Jordan River at this point is only a few feet wide -- an easy crossing point for an army. The two countries signed a peace agreement in 1994, but the mines were never removed.

Making a holy site safe again

From the safety of the dirt road, a row of anti-tank mines is visible, resting on top of the dry, cracked soil. Nearby, anti-personnel mines sit above the ground, scattered across an empty field. Unexploded ordnance could still be anywhere, and the churches could be booby-trapped.

All that is about to change.

The HALO Trust, the world's largest humanitarian landmine removal organization, has now received permission from the Israelis, Palestinians, and the seven Christian denominations with churches at the site to begin removal of the mines.

"If we didn't do it, these mines would be here forever," says HALO Trust CEO James Cowan. "We can make that difference. We can make that go away."

HALO is not aware of anyone having been injured or killed by the mines in the area, because it is a restricted military zone.

Amid killings and kidnappings, can Christianity survive in the Middle East?

"Country of prophecies and prophets"

Theophilos III, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem and all Palestine, remembers visiting the site as a teenager before the war made it inaccessible. He smiles as he speaks of visiting again.

"It is a very special place. It is very much connected to the sacred history that began on Mount Sinai and the Prophet Moses and culminated here with the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem and his crucifixion and resurrection in Jerusalem," the Patriarch says.

A small section of the minefield was cleared for Pope John Paul II, who visited the site in 2000. A modern tourist center on the cleared land was opened to the public in 2011, and approximately 300,000 tourists visit annually.

UNESCO recognizes the official site of the baptism as the east bank of the river in Jordan, called Al-Maghtas, meaning "the baptism." The site across the river in the West Bank is called Qasr el-Yahud, which means "Passage of the Jew." In the Old Testament, it marks the biblical site where the Israelites crossed the Jordan River.

Asked whether it bothers him that it has taken so long to clear the minefield and reopen the churches, Theophilos III demurs.

"This is the country of prophecies and prophets. Time is not that important," he says. "One thousand years, it can be one day in the eyes of God. Every time we celebrate Epiphany, every time we celebrate Easter, it is as if the event happened yesterday."

A path for each church

HALO, based in England, worked with the Israeli National Mine Action Authority, a civilian organization that falls under the Israeli Ministry of Defense, to map the minefields and the potential dangers.

It was a complex task.

"For us, when approaching this type of mission, (we assume) everything is active and still working," says Michael Heiman, the organization's project supervisor.

Heiman looked at old military maps of the area, reviewed footage from the Six-Day War, and interviewed Israeli soldiers who fought along the Jordan River to better understand the location of the mines. Clearing the minefield is expected to take 18 months, says HALO program manager Ronen Shimoni.

Smaller anti-personnel mines can be excavated and crushed. Larger anti-tank mines need to be cleared manually. Booby traps and unexploded ordnance must be detected and disarmed.

"We do want each of these churches to have its own walking path down to the river. This is why we're into not just clearing the mines, but also clearing the area between the minefields and the river," Heiman says.

HALO has cleared mines in 15 countries and four territories, including the West Bank. Much of its funding comes from the public sector, as governments pay to clear areas for housing, farming, or similar uses.

But because the clearing of mines at the baptism site is for religious and cultural reasons, HALO is relying on private donations to pay for the project. HALO estimates the cost will be approximately $4 million.

HALO chief executive Cowan thinks it's a price worth paying.

"Mines are not only weapons in the present," he says. "Because what normally happens is that armies move on, wars end, soldiers go home. But what happens with the mine is that it stays in the ground. It maims, it kills long after the conflict has moved on."

Disaster Comet Nibiru Coming to Cleanse the World, Says Jewish Academic

According to filmmaker and Jewish lecturer Yuval Ovadia, “God did not create the world in order for us to have fun, to travel, to get entertained. This is not His goal. The world was created in order to worship Hashem (God), to fulfill all the mitzvot (commandments) given to us on Mount Sinai.”

Yet, we live in a world increasingly overwhelmed with material excess and immorality.

In a newly released video, dubbed from its original Hebrew into English, Ovadia asserts that the final test for humanity is whether we will choose materialism or spirituality. Those who cannot release the hold that materialism has on them will be destroyed, according to the prophecy in Zechariah.

And it shall come to pass that in all the land saith the LORD two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. Zechariah 13:8

Likening the moral standing of the world today to how things were in the time of Noah before the flood, Ovadia states that the world today is saturated with “immodesty, immorality, debauchery, nasty desires. Our world must be cleaned, no matter what.”

According to Ovadia, the Talmud (Judaism’s central text of rabbinic law and lore) states that God caused the great flood in the time of Noah by moving one star. Following up on the idea that God controls nature, a major segment of the video is devoted to presenting what could be called “The Case For Nibiru.”

Nibiru is also known as Planet X, Planet Nine and Nemesis. It has been called a planet, a comet, a star, a red dwarf star, and a second sun that is a companion star to our sun. Breaking Israel News has reported extensively on rabbinical warnings on the potential threat represented by Nibiru.

Ovadia translates extensive Biblical passages, from the Books of Isaiah, Joel and Zechariah and from the Zohar (the central text of mystical Judaism) that support the idea that the earth will be thrown into chaos at the End of Days.

He takes the evidence for Nibiru one step further, calling it the tool by which God will cleanse the world of its current level of degradation: “So this Planet X was sent to prepare the world [for] the world of Moshiach. To clean up the world from all of the impurity.”

In the final minutes of the 49-minute video, Ovadia advises his audience that faith in God is what will separate the people who survive from those who don’t.

“Any human being on earth, whether a Jew or not, who will choose a spiritual life, and will call out to be saved by the Almighty, Blessed be He, the God who created the whole world, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Just call up to Him directly. Ask Him to help you, to save you and your family. Any such a person would be saved, whether he lives in Israel or abroad. Whether he is a Jew or not. This will be the final selection.

“If you put your trust only in Hashem, in God and no one else, not even in the King Moshiach (Messiah). The Moshiach himself is just a servant of God… So we need to call out to Hashem to save us. To put our trust just in Him. And try as much as we can to detach ourselves from the material, corrupted world that we’re living. This is our ticket to the world of Moshiach and to the eternal life that will come right after that.”

Speaking to Breaking Israel News, Ovadia addressed the question of why so many people, even religious Jews, have a hard time accepting that Nibiru is real. First he spoke about the effectiveness of NASA’s efforts to hide the truth for the past 30 years. “Plus, every time you confront a person with something that he is not used to, or something which is a big surprise to him, that might shake up his ground, making him feel unsafe, his first reaction would be ‘it’s all nonsense’. This is a normal reaction.

“It takes a lot of time and effort for a person to check out all the information regarding this matter, until he has a clear view, and only then he could be sure if it is nonsense or maybe it is true.”

Asked if there is anything the Jewish people can do to avoid the disastrous effects of Nibiru, Ovadia told Breaking Israel News, “Any Jew that makes a teshuva (repents and comes closer to God), even a small teshuva, anything he takes upon himself, to do more chessed (acts of kindness), more tzniut (modesty in dress, speech and behavior), more kedusha (holiness), anything he or she does, it sweetens the judgment of Hashem, and it can save not only many Jews but also many people of other nations.

“The Jew has a lot of responsibility over the whole creation. Our goal is definitely to have the Mashiach come as easy as possible, while saving as many people as we could, Jews and non-Jews as well.

“All the signs of Planet X are definitely another one of Hashem’s warnings, in order to try and get us more and more spiritual, so that the Judgment would be sweetened as much as possible.”

BBC is ‘too Christian,’ more room should be granted to Muslims, Hindus & Sikhs – internal report

An internal review within the BBC has concluded that the network is too Christian in terms of its religious output and should diversify in order to fit ‘the religious make-up’ of British society, in which the number of Muslims has doubled in the past decade.

Aaqil Ahmed, head of BBC’s religion and ethics department, has filed a report with the company’s director general, Lord Hall, describing the imbalance in the BBC’s religious output, The Sunday Times reports.

“Christianity remains the cornerstone of our output and there are more hours dedicated to it than there are to other faiths,” Ahmed told the daily, adding that the output in this area is not static and that Muslim, Hindu and Sikh programming should be increased.

“We do look at the number of hours we produce, and measure that against the religious make-up of society. We also carry out checks to give us a better understanding of how we represent the different faiths across the various BBC channels and services.”

The religious makeup he mentions has changed substantially in the past decade, with the number of Muslims, for instance, hitting the three million milestone for the first time in January this year. The religious minority represents one in 20 people across the country, according to an analysis by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), which also found that in some parts of London nearly half the population is now Muslim.

Taking these figures into account, it should not have come as a surprise that the newly elected mayor of the UK capital is also Muslim. Sadiq Khan, a Labour MP of British-Pakistani origin gained 57 percent of the vote on May 6, becoming the first Muslim mayor of a major Western city.

The BBC’s religion department head is also Muslim. Ahmed moved to the corporation from Channel Four, where he apparently impressed his current employers with his series’ on Christianity and Islam. Controversies, however, surrounded his appointment due to allegations that he had displayed pro-Islam bias and had been “trivializing religion” in his previous position, the Telegraph reported at the time.

Ahmed’s report is now being considered by Lord Hall, who is to decide how to deal with the apparently problematic findings.

Some religious figures have already commented on the possible changes to BBC content, with Lord Carey, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, saying the prospect of increased coverage of other faiths might be considered insulting for Britain’s historic religion.

“I don’t think our liberal establishment appreciates what Christianity has done for the nation, and how much of a bedrock it is for democracy and the values we believe in.

There is a real feeling by Christians of being let down by the Establishment. Christianity is fighting for its life in Western countries,” Lord Carey has said, as quoted by The Sunday Times.

Ibrahim Mogra, of the Muslim Council of Britain, was more enthusiastic, suggesting the broadcaster might televise Friday prayers from mosques and cover Eid, a holiday similar to Christian Easter, as it does with Christian holidays. He noted, however, that “we [Muslims] would not wish Christians to have any less exposure.”

Meanwhile, asked about the impact the findings could have on the amount of Christian programs, a BBC spokesman said it was too early to tell.

“We [...] are actually intending to do more programming around Christianity and more on other faiths as well, so there is absolutely no question of an 'either or' on our output,” he stressed.

BBC’s televised religion obviously amounts to mostly Christian content, including the flagship Songs of Praise, Sunday Morning Live and Thought for the Day on Radio Four’s Today program. An edition of Songs of Praise was even filmed at The Jungle, a migrant camp in the French port-town of Calais, where thousands of asylum seekers, mostly Muslim, wait for a chance to find a permanent home in the UK.

The Calm Before the Coming Global Storm

Major turbulence seems to be the name of the game in 2016. Yet the current turbulence may be interpreted as the calm before the next, devastating geopolitical/financial storm. Let’s review the current state of play via the dilemmas afflicting the House of Saud, the EU and BRICS members Russia, Brazil and China.

Oil and the House of Saud

Not many people are familiar with the Baltic Dry Index. Yet the Index is key totrack commodity demand. Two months ago, it was trading to all-time lows. Since then, it has increased over 130%. Precious metals prices have all moved higher in virtually all currencies. Why is this important? Because it tells us that faith in fiat currencies – the US dollar especially — is sharply declining.

The Baltic Index rise portends a rise in oil demand in Asia – especially China. Falling supply and rising demand for oil will likely drive up the price of the barrel of oil in the second half of 2016.

That does not mean that the House of Saud will win back the trust of both the US and Russia. Deep sources keep confirming that as far as Washington and Moscow are concerned, the House of Saud is expendable. Both are really energy independent (should the US want to be). Powerful Washington factions blatantly accuse Riyadh of “terror” – well, it’s way more complicated – while Moscow regards the House of Saud as following US orders to destroy Russia in an oil price war.

Ailing – on the way to dementia — King Salman and young Warrior Prince Mohammed would be finished if those famous 28 pages about 9/11 were released and the Saudi connection is incontrovertible. What next? Regime change. A CIA coup. A “trusted” Saudi military CIA asset elevated to power.

What’s left for the House of Saud is to play for time. High up in Riyadh the feeling is that relations with Washington won’t improve while Obama is president; the next president — whether Hillary or The Donald – will be a much better deal. So Plan A for now is to keep posing as essential to Washington in the “war on terra”; that means King Salman falling back on Mohammed bin Nayef, the Crown Prince, way more adept at it than the Warrior Prince, the conductor of the disastrous war on Yemen.

In parallel, Turkey’s Sultan Erdogan keeps advancing his play to take over oil in Iraqi Kurdistan, eventually diverting the whole supply to make Turkey energy independent – and thus a regional superpower.

Moreover, in Pipelineistan terms, Erdogan absolutely also needs the Qatar gas pipeline through Saudi Arabia and Syria to gain energy independence from Russia. That also happens to be a major US goal. And that also portends perennial trouble for the Syria peace process.

Erdogan already has the German superpower at his feet in the shape of a groveling, begging Chancellor Merkel. Were Turkey on its way to become an energy power, Merkel would prostrate herself on that Ankara palace golden ground non-stop. The CIA intimates as much, when it analyzes how Turkey will keep “expanding its influence” in Iraq through the militias they support, at the expense of Iraq's security and political unity.

Andrew Bacevich’s America’s War for the Greater Middle East examines how Washington ruled that “military preponderance” across the Middle East should be the strategic objective in a war against the USSR — that was when Dr. Zbig “Grand Chessboard” Brzezinski reigned as geopolitical supremo. This was always supposed to be an endless war – now encompassing the “Greater Middle East” the neocons are so fond of.

Russia, Brazil and Hybrid War

Russia's largest commodity exchange is actively courting international oil traders to join its emerging futures market. The goals are crystal clear; to disconnect the price-setting mechanism from the Brent oil benchmark and, crucially, to move away from the petrodollar. That also happens to be a key condition imposed by Beijing to the House of Saud for continuing to buy their oil.

It’s easy to forget that it was only 20 years ago that Moscow wanted to join the West as Christians, and was treated like trash. Russia was perceived in the Beltway to be weak under Yeltsin, who let in looters who ate up Russia as locusts, collapsing Russia’s GDP by 40% as they drew out natural resources, absconding with at least a trillion US dollars.

Now Exceptionalistan keeps updating every trick in the book to destroy or at least undermine Russia with Maidan in Ukraine, an oil price war, attacks on the ruble, Syrian pipelines. Hybrid, unconventional warfare rules – and these will only get nastier. The BRICS as a whole are under siege. The Brazilian color revolution, set up as a soft regime change process, is just the first stage in a new, sophisticated Hybrid War strategy bound to be studied in academia for decades.

As oil demand soars and supply contracts, Hybrid War practitioners across the spectrum will have to create a recession to keep the chaos going. A possible scenario is to let the embattled Italian banking system go down; that’s the next frontier in the EU.

Walking Dead Europe, meanwhile, subcontracted and/or externalized a policy of refugee repression, thus unleashing the largest mass deportation since WWII, complete with camps financed by EU taxpayers and managed by the Great Democrat Erdogan. The missing link is now in the open; everything is proceeding under control of NATO-linked think tanks.

As appalling as it may be, this is hardly new. It was already inbuilt in agreements that the EU imposes on African nations, “upgrading” their status to border Cerberuses. That’s the key mission of the Frontex agency, which is progressively delocalizing the external borders of the EU – to the east and to the south – to better repel migrants. Not a dot connected to NATO’s neo-imperial wars of choice, of course.

No wonder Noam Chomsky has noted that support for formal democracy in the West is dwindling, because they are not real democracies. All major decisions affecting the EU are taken by unelected eurocrats in Brussels. In a groundbreaking book published in Spain, Mercado-Estado-Carcel en la Democracia Neoliberal Espanola (Anthropos), Daniel Jimenez, doctor in Juridical Sociology at the University of Zaragoza, details how the new institutional local order is about de-democratization, denationalization and dependency; NATO, IMF, World Bank, the Paris club, BCE, the European Commission, the Fed, they are part of a global web of institutions, private but self-described as public or public but managed by private interests (such as the Fed). Michael Hudson, among others, has detailed how the EU never developed sustained mechanisms of transfer of capital from the wealthier economies towards poorer members.

I’m a mess without my China fix

Sophisticated Hybrid War-derived techniques may have been deployed full blast against Russia and Brazil. But against China, everything fizzles.

Exceptionalistan’s spin is that China is not as economically secure as it seems. So global public opinion is bombarded by the usual litany of “convulsions in its financial markets”, “investor risk aversion”, “volatility”, or an inevitable crash.

Nonsense. The leadership in Beijing has its strategic imperatives fully delineated in the latest Five-Year-Plan. It will pump whatever amount of credit into the system whenever it takes. It won’t depreciate the yuan – no matter how loud Washington/New York complain.

A yuan devaluation would sink an array of Chinese firms loaded up on US dollar debt. Moreover, Beijing is tweaking its system, a carefully calibrated transition from an export-driven model to one geared toward consumption by the internal market. A strong yuan preserves the purchasing power of tens of millions of members of the New Chinese Middle Class – all of them upwardly mobile, and all of them asset owners.

According to the US Treasury, only about $1.2 trillion in liquid securities is in Chinese hands. And that will keep diminishing, fast – as China keeps buying gold. And to top it off, China has already turned its economy around. That brings us back to that dramatic increase in the Baltic Index. Oil prices are rising. And China is buying the whole lot.

Beijing is advancing on all fronts; spreading influence/commercial deals all across Eurasia, which the New Silk Roads will shape into a mass emporium; modernizing its military; buying strategic foreign assets; building up global trust in the yuan as a stable reserve currency; allowing Chinese elites to diversify their enormous wealth by buying foreign assets, from vineyards in Bordeaux to the odd football giant, such as AC Milan.

No wonder the astonishing spread of Chinese economic power has left assorted Exceptionalists – from neocons to neoliberalcons — totally deranged. Washington has absolutely nothing to offer to nations across Asia, Africa and Latin America – to the whole Global South for that matter. They have all seen how Beijing is not in the market demanding Mob-style compound interest on sovereign debt; “support” for neo-imperial moves by NATO or the UN; one more extra-territorial hub for the US Empire of Bases; or total domination of their central banks.

On the other hand, they have seen what Washington does offer; endless war; the progressive smashing of the nation state; democracy blasted to smithereens; and technocratic governance by the 0.00001%.

Yet all this is just the calm before the storm. The Empire is already striking back. There’s serious blood on the tracks ahead.

Dr. Todd is not to be taken lightly as he was an economic consultant with 20 years of experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Given his background, his expressed opinions should be given very serious consideration.

If Dr. Todd’s prediction is accurate, this fits in with what other sources are saying is coming in the very near future and it will result in the fall of America. It has always been my position that a false flag even would be used as a pretext to invoke martial law. Martial law would then be used as the excuse to begin gun confiscation. Gun confiscation will be used to disarm American citizens prior to subjugating the country by using foreign mercenaries.

Precipitating Incident(s)

Further, we have two important pieces which would factor into a planned collapse of the United States/Western Europe, namely, banking and population redistribution. Additional danger and trigger points would consist of computer vulnerability of the grid and the banks. Also, the looming global food crisis could be brought into play. Why not all three? I think that is a safe bet, but in terms of lighting the fuse, I would lean towards the food crisis

Michael Snyder wrote a fantastic piece of how the United States is paralleling what is happening in Venezuela and we will soon be living the same fate here in America. One week ago, I wrote about America’s food vulnerability. Snyder’s piece is worthy of review.

Speaking of Ed Petrowski, I had Ed and Cliff Harris, who has been making accurate predictions about farming and food trends for over 40 years.. Ed Petrowski has been farming the fields of Pratt, Kansas for decades. While on my show, both men presented to the world a farmer’s perspective on what is happening with our food supply.

One of the more stunning trends that both men pointed out was the fact that over 15% of American farmers will leave the business this year because of extreme government intrusion. They both said that there will be an extreme food shortage as a result. In fact, they both said there would be a food crisis in the United States anyway. And as Cliff Harris, a climatologist pointed out, there would be a food shortage anyway due to extreme weather changes.

This was an one hour interview, where I probably did not say 100 words. I wanted the listening public to listen to two prominent men in field of farming about what is really happening to the American food supply instead of reading the lies contained in various government reports.

Conclusion

I would be remiss if I did not reiterate Paul Martin’s source and what he said was coming, which I published in a previous article. The retired alphabet soup agency man said martial law is locked and cocked. When the crisis hits, the phone will immediately go down, where you are is where you will stay because the highways will be shut down. He advised if you are further from your home that you walk back to it, you need to carry food, water, and guns. Time frame? He says it will happen this summer.

A week ago, I speculated that Trump’s opposition quit prematurely and all at once. I speculated they were retreating to their Plan B which would be designed to deny Trump the Presidency. I think we have found the Plan B.

Meltdown in Venezuela causing riots, shortages, murder, chaos

In what’s being called an “apocalypse,” Venezuela is experiencing an economic and social meltdown due to lack of food, medicine, water, electricity and money.

With little recourse, many Venezuelans are turning to crime. Last week a mob of 5,000 looted a supermarket in Maracay, leaving two dead.

PanAm Post reports:

According to the testimonies of merchants, the endless food lines that Venezuelans have been enduring to do groceries could not be organized that day. As time went by, desperate Venezuelans grew anxious over not being able to buy food. Then they started jumping over the gates.

“They took milk, pasta, flour, oil, and milk powder. There were 5,000 people,” one witness told Venezuela outlet El Estímulo.

People from across the entire state came to the supermarket because there were rumors that some products not found anywhere else would be sold there.

“There were 250 people for each National Guard officer … lots of people and few soldiers. At least one officer was beat up because he tried to stop the crowd,” another source told El Estímulo.

In late April, the Venezuelan Chamber of Food warned producers had only 15 days of inventory.

Venezuela has imposed increasingly desperate measures on its citizens as the nation’s economic crisis has deepened. Although it is a large oil producer, last week the El Palito Refinery – which is the nation’s main fuel supplier – halted operations with under 10 days of inventory remaining. The stoppage is estimated to last 45 to 60 days, and the nation has very little gasoline available. Workers are reporting refineries are operating at 30 percent capacity.

Executive Secretary for the United Federation of Oil Workers Rober González told the newspaper La Verdad that Venezuelan refineries may have been sabotaged by some contractors and managers.

The economic crisis and consequent hyperinflation is causing cascading problems or shortages in many crucial sectors, including food, water, electricity, medicine, jobs and schooling.

May has been “officially” termed the month of hunger. PanAm Post reports Oscar Meza, Director of the Documentation Center for Social Analysis (Cendas-FVM), who said measurements of scarcity and inflation in May are going to be the worst to date.

“We are officially declaring May as the month that [widespread] hunger began in Venezuela,” he told Web Noticias Venezuela. “As for March, there was an increase in yearly prices due to inflation – a 582.9 percent increase for food, while the level of scarcity of basic products remains at 41.37 percent.”

Meza said the trigger for the crisis is the shortage of bread and other foods derived from wheat.

“Prices are so high that you can’t buy anything, so people don’t buy bread, they don’t buy flour. You get porridge, you see the price of chicken go up and families struggle … lunch is around 1,500 bolivars. … People used to take food from home to work, but now you can’t anymore because you don’t have food at home,” Meza said.

People are reportedly hunting cats, dogs and pigeons to obtain food.

For three years in a row, Venezuela has reported the highest inflation rate in the world, with estimates ranging from 186 percent to 800 percente.

Because of the scarcity of essential food and goods, the black market has flourished – as has crime.

In Caracas, a man accused of mugging people was surrounded by a mob, who beat him and set him on fire.

Venezuela has developed few resources except oil.

PanAm Post reports:

Venezuela hardly produces anything domestically, besides petroleum (oil sales are 96 percent of the country’s import revenue). Price controls destroy the profit motive for domestic makers, who sometimes sell their products for a loss. And the ruling socialist government has taken, or expropriated, entire private companies.

“They expropriate the majority of the sugar companies, and you cannot find sugar,” Luis Vicente Leon said. “They expropriate coffee companies in Venezuela, and you cannot find coffee. They expropriate Owens-Illinois, and we cannot find packages.”

So Venezuela imports just about everything. But now there’s not enough oil revenue to buy imports.

Reuters notes the U.S. is increasingly concerned about Venezuela’s meltdown, compounded by its deteriorating oil sector and fears of a debt default, adding: “In a bleak assessment of Venezuela’s worsening crisis, the senior officials expressed doubt that unpopular leftist President Nicolás Maduro would allow a recall referendum this year, despite opposition-led protests demanding a vote to decide whether he stays in office. But the two officials, briefing a small group of reporters in Washington, predicted that Maduro, who heads Latin America’s most ardently anti-U.S. government and a major U.S. oil supplier, was not likely to be able to complete his term, which is due to end after elections in late 2018.”

The Venezuelan officials offered “plausible” scenarios, including a military coup to oust Maduro, or that his own party would force him out of office. The officials conceded there was no evidence of active plotting or loss of support from Venezuelan generals.

In turn, Maduro, 53, blasted Washington for a meeting “to conspire against Venezuela.”

“Washington is activating measures at the request of Venezuela’s fascist right, who are emboldened by the coup in Brazil,” he said during a televised broadcast in reference to last week’s impeachment of fellow leftist Dilma Rousseff in Brazil.

Maduro then declared a 60-day state of emergency which included the “necessary measures” to protect Venezuela from unspecified foreign attacks.

The Venezuelan president affirmed he will not be forced out before the expiration of his term in 2019. He blames the opposition of seeking a coup to “destroy the socialist legacy of his predecessor,” the late Hugo Chavez.

Maduro has a history of concern, sometimes termed paranoia, over conspiracies to overthrow his régime.

“Cultivating a siege mentality among Venezuelans might make them more pliable,” writes Foreign Policy’s Daniel Lansberg-Rodríguez, “minimizing the potential backlash from his regime’s increasingly authoritarian social controls, which have moved far beyond what was seen in the Chávez era in respect to censorship, political imprisonment, and even creeping limitations on internet use. After all, a government fighting for its very life against such implacable and powerful enemies can expect to receive the odd emergency power, as well as a bit of a pass on issues like soaring crime, scarcity and inflation. Caracas-born comic Joanna Hausmann sums up the mentality nicely: ‘Maduro’s elementary school excuse: A coup ate my homework.'”

Over the last several years we have documented with clockwork regularity Venezuela’s collapse into failed state status, which was cemented several weeks ago when news hit that “Venezuela had officially run out of money to print new money.” At that point the best one could do was merely to step back and watch as local society and civilization turned on itself, unleashing what would ultimately turn into Venezuela’s own, sad apocalypse.

Last night we showed what Caracas, looks like this week:

As we wrote then these are simply hungry Venezuelans protesting that their children are dying from lack of food and medicine and that they do not have enough water or electricity. As AgainstCronyCapitalism added, this is a country with more oil than Saudi Arabia, and the government has stolen all the money and now they bottleneck peaceful protesters and threaten them with bombs (or haul them to prison and torture them).

As pure desperation has set in, crime has becomes inevitable. A man accused of mugging people in the streets of Caracas was surrounded by a mob of onlookers, beaten and set on fire, who published a pixeled-out but still graphic video of the man burning as mob justice is now the supreme arbiter of who lives and who dies:

“Roberto Fuentes Bernal, 42, was reportedly caught trying to mug passersby in the Venezuelan capital, and before police arrived at the scene, the crowd took the law into their own hands.” The video can be seen here.

Now, in the latest shocking development, Venezuela saw a new wave of looting this week that resulted in at least two deaths, countless wounded, and millions of dollars in losses and damages.

According to Panampost, on Wednesday morning, a crowd sacked the Maracay Wholesale Market in the central region of Venezuela. According to the testimonies of merchants, the endless food lines that Venezuelans have been enduring to do groceries could not be organized that day.

As time went by, desperate Venezuelans grew anxious over not being able to buy food. Then they started jumping over the gates and stormed the supermarket.

“They took milk, pasta, flour, oil, and milk powder. There were 5,000 people” one witness told Venezuela outlet El Estímulo.

People from across the entire state came to the supermarket because there were rumors that some products not found anywhere else would be sold there.

As a result of the massive crowd, the authorities were unable to preserve the peace. “There were 250 people for each National Guard officer… lots of people and few soldiers. At least one officer was beat up because he tried to stop the crowd,” another source told El Estímulo.

Other food dispensaries run by the government were also looted by the people.

Far from the promised socialist paradise, as the massive group of people moved, an entrance gate collapsed under the weight of the crowd, leaving several wounded.

The image below shows a human stampede over rice.

Over the last two weeks, several provinces have hosted scenes of looting in pharmacies, shopping malls, supermarkets, and food delivery trucks. In several markets, shouts of “we are hungry!” echoed. On April 27, the Venezuelan Chamber of Food (Cavidea) reported that the country’s food producers only had 15 days left of inventory.

PanamPost adds that lootings are becoming an increasingly common occurrence in Venezuela, as the country’s food shortage resulted in yet another reported incident of violence in a supermarket — this time in the Luvebras Automarket located in the La Florida Province of Caracas.

Videos posted to social media showed desperate people falling over each other trying to get bags of rice. One user claimed the looting occurred because it is difficult to get cereal, and so people “broke down the doors and damaged infrastructure.”

In the central province of Carabobo, residents ransacked a corn warehouse located in the coastal city of Puerto Cabello. They reportedly broke down the gate because workers were giving away small portions.

“There’s no rice, no pasta, no flour,” resident Glerimar Yohan told La Costa, “only hunger.”

The prominent U.S. linguist, political analyst and writer slammed the elite in Brazil, saying they carried out a soft coup against the democratically elected president.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff is the only leading politician in the country that has not engaged in theft to enrich herself but has been “impeached by a gang of thieves” through a “soft coup” led by the opposition parties in the country, renowned linguist and political commentator Noam Chomsky said in an interview with Democracy Now! on Tuesday.

“She’s being charged with manipulations in the budget, which are pretty standard in many countries, taking from one pocket and putting it into another,” Chomsky told Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman.

“Maybe it’s a misdeed of some kind, but certainly doesn’t justify impeachment. In fact, she’s — we have the one leading politician who hasn’t stolen to enrich herself, who’s being impeached by a gang of thieves, who have done so. That does count as a kind of soft coup.”

The leading professor said the opposition has been preparing for action against the democratically elected president in the years since they lost the elections.

“The elite detested the Workers’ Party and is using this opportunity to get rid of the party that won the elections,” he said.

Chomsky also touched on the history of U.S. interventions in the region and decades of policies that sought regime changes and ousting of democratically elected governments in Venezuela, Honduras and Haiti.

“One (coup) in Venezuela in 2002 succeeded for a couple of days, backed by the U.S., overthrown by popular reaction. A second in Haiti, 2004, succeeded. The U.S. and France — Canada helped — kidnapped the president, sent him off to Central Africa, won’t permit his party to run in elections. That was a successful coup. Honduras, under Obama, there was a military coup, overthrew a reformist president,” Chomsky said.

However, he argued that Washington does not have the same sway over the region anymore and its influence has been waning for more than a decade.

“Latin America has, to a significant extent, liberated itself from foreign — meaning mostly U.S. — domination in the past 10 or 15 years. That’s a dramatic development in world affairs. It’s the first time in 500 years. It’s a big change.”

Last week, a Senate vote suspended Rousseff for 180 days to make her face an impeachment trial over accusations of budget manipulations.

Vice President Michel Temer, embroiled in corruption scandals and facing possible impeachment, took over from Rousseff as acting president. If Rousseff is cleared of charges, she will remain the president, but in case she is found guilty, Temer will become the president until a new head of state is chosen in upcoming elections.

Latin American leaders refuse to recognize Temer’s government

Several Latin American countries have refused to recognize Brazil's new interim government as people take to streets of Sao Paulo to demonstrate against President Dilma Rousseff’s impeachment.

Rousseff was suspended from office on Thursday by the Brazilian Senate, which is taking up an impeachment trial against her for allegedly fudging government accounts ahead of her 2014 reelection.

The leaders of Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua and El Salvador have supported Rousseff, challenging the legitimacy of her ouster and the authority of her successor Michel Temer.

El Salvadorian President Salvador Sanchez Ceren said in a statement on Saturday that Rousseff’s suspension had “the appearance of a coup d'etat.”

President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela and his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales on Thursday also called Rousseff’s suspension a coup.

Cuba also questioned the legality of the suspension, calling it a “judicial-parliamentary coup d’etat.”

Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos said Rousseff’s suspension could have a negative impact on the stability of the region.

In a statement on Sunday, the interim government accused the Latin American leaders of spreading “lies” about Brazil’s political process.

“We emphatically reject the declarations by the governments of Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Ecuador and Nicaragua, as well as the ALBA (an alliance of left-wing Latin American and Caribbean nations) that give opinions and spread lies about Brazil’s internal political process,” said Jose Serra, the newly appointed foreign minister.

He said the suspension and trial of Rousseff “is provided for under the constitution, in democratic legality.”

Pro-Rousseff rallies

Supporters of the ousted president, however, continued to hold demonstrations against Temer, the former vice-president who assumed power on Thursday after Rousseff was deposed by the Senate.

Demonstrators poured to the streets in Sao Paulo on Sunday to express opposition to the interim government and attack the impeachment proceedings as a “coup.”

“Temer's government is illegitimate, patriarchal, machista, and does not represent us. We are going to be in the streets every day until (that government) falls,” said protester Maria Bopp.

Another protester, Maria das Neves, said, “It's not a government that combats corruption, but rather it's a government that supports and legitimizes corruption in our country. Say no to the coup.”

Rouseff should stand a trial in the Senate within 180 days. The Senate will have to decide whether to disqualify her for presidency. If she is removed from office, Temer will retain the presidency until scheduled elections in 2018.

Rousseff maintains that the move against her is part of a plot by the country’s extreme right. She has also described the impeachment attempt as a coup.

“They want to come to power by an easy route, and not through popular election for which we have fought,” she said.

EU-Turkey Migrant Deal Unravels Turning Greece Into Massive Refugee Camp

• According to the Telegraph, the EU report adds that as a result of the deal, the Turkish mafia, which traffics vast volumes of drugs, sex slaves, illegal firearms and refugees into Europe, may undergo "direct territorial expansion towards the EU."

• "If they make the wrong decision, we will send the refugees." — Burhan Kuzu, senior adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

• Erdogan is now demanding that the EU immediately hand over three billion euros ($3.4 billion) so that Turkish authorities can spend it as they see fit. The EU insists that the funds be transferred through international aid agencies in accordance with strict rules on how the aid can be spent. This prompted Erdogan to accuse the EU of "mocking the dignity" of the Turkish nation.

The EU-Turkey migrant deal, designed to halt the flow of migrants from Turkey to Greece, is falling apart just two months after it was reached. European officials are now looking for a back-up plan.

The March 18 deal was negotiated in great haste by European leaders desperate to gain control over a migration crisis in which more than one million migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East poured into Europe in 2015.

European officials, who appear to have promised Turkey more than they can deliver, are increasingly divided over a crucial part of their end of the bargain: granting visa-free travel to Europe for Turkey's 78 million citizens by the end of June.

At the same time, Turkey is digging in its heels, refusing to implement a key part of its end of the deal: bringing its anti-terrorism laws into line with EU standards so that they cannot be used to detain journalists and academics critical of the government.

A central turning point in the EU-Turkey deal was the May 5 resignation of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who lost a long-running power struggle with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Davutoglu was a key architect of the EU-Turkey deal and was also considered its guarantor.

On May 6, just one day after Davutoglu's resignation, Erdogan warned European leaders that Turkey would not be narrowing its definition of terrorism: "When Turkey is under attack from terrorist organizations and the powers that support them directly, or indirectly, the EU is telling us to change the law on terrorism," Erdogan said in Istanbul. "They say 'I am going to abolish visas and this is the condition.' I am sorry, we are going our way and you go yours."

Erdogan insists that Turkey's anti-terrorism laws are needed to fight Kurdish militants at home and Islamic State jihadists in neighboring Syria and Iraq. Human rights groups counter that Erdogan is becoming increasingly authoritarian and is using the legislation indiscriminately to silence dissent of him and his government.

European officials say that, according to the original deal, visa liberalization for Turkish citizens is conditioned on Turkey amending its anti-terror laws. Erdogan warns that if there is no visa-free travel by the end of June, he will reopen the migration floodgates on July 1. Such a move would allow potentially millions more migrants to pour into Greece.

European officials are now discussing a Plan B. On May 8, the German newspaper Bild reported on a confidential plan to house all migrants arriving from Turkey on Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. Public transportation to and from those islands to the Greek mainland would be cut off in order to prevent migrants from moving into other parts of the European Union.

Migrants would remain on the islands permanently while their asylum applications are being processed. Those whose asylum requests are denied would be deported back to their countries of origin or third countries deemed as "safe."

The plan, which Bild reports is being discussed at the highest echelons of European power, would effectively turn parts of Greece into massive refugee camps for many years to come. It remains unclear whether Greek leaders will have any say in the matter. It is also unclear how Plan B would reduce the number of migrants flowing into Europe.

Speaking to the BBC News program, "World on the Move," on May 16, Sir Richard Dearlove, the former head of the British intelligence service MI6, warned that the number of migrants coming to Europe during the next five years could run into millions. This, he said, would reshape the continent's geopolitical landscape: "If Europe cannot act together to persuade a significant majority of its citizens that it can gain control of its migratory crisis then the EU will find itself at the mercy of a populist uprising, which is already stirring."

Dearlove also warned against allowing millions of Turks visa-free access to the EU, describing the EU plan as "perverse, like storing gasoline next to the fire we're trying to extinguish."

On May 17, the Telegraph published the details of a leaked report from the European Commission, the powerful administrative arm of the European Union. The report warns that opening Europe's borders to 78 million Turks would increase the risk of terrorist attacks in the European Union. The report states:

"It can be expected that, as soon as Turkish citizens will obtain visa-free entry to the EU, foreign nationals will start trying to obtain Turkish passports in order to pretend to be Turkish citizens and enter the EU visa free, or use the identities of Turkish citizens, or to obtain by fraud the Turkish citizenship. This possibility may attract not only irregular migrants, but also criminals or terrorists."

According to the Telegraph, the report adds that as a result of the deal, the Turkish mafia, which traffics vast volumes of drugs, sex slaves, illegal firearms and refugees into Europe, may undergo "direct territorial expansion towards the EU." The report warns: "Suspect individuals being allowed to travel to the Schengen territory without the need to go through a visa request procedure would have a greater ability to enter the EU without being noticed."

While the EU privately admits that the visa waiver would increase the risk to European security, in public the EU has recommended that the deal be approved.

On May 4, the European Commission announced that Turkey has met most of the 72 "benchmarks of the roadmap" needed to qualify for the visa waiver. The remaining five conditions concern the fight against corruption, judicial cooperation with EU member states, deeper ties with the European law-enforcement agency Europol, data protection and anti-terrorism legislation.

European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans said:

"Turkey has made impressive progress, particularly in recent weeks, on meeting the benchmarks of its visa liberalization roadmap.... This is why we are putting a proposal on the table which opens the way for the European Parliament and the Member States to decide to lift visa requirements, once the benchmarks have been met."

In order for the visa waiver to take effect, it must be approved by the national parliaments of the EU member states, as well as the European Parliament.

Ahead of a May 18 debate at the European Parliament in Strasbourg over Turkey's progress in fulfilling requirements for visa liberalization, Burhan Kuzu, a senior adviser to Erdogan, warned the European Parliament that it had an "important choice" to make.

In a Twitter message, Kuzu wrote: "If they make the wrong decision, we will send the refugees." In a subsequent telephone interview with Bloomberg, he added: "If Turkey's doors are opened, Europe would be miserable."

Meanwhile, Erdogan has placed yet another obstacle in the way of EU-Turkey deal. He is now demanding that the EU immediately hand over three billion euros ($3.4 billion) promised under the deal so that Turkish authorities can spend it as they see fit.

The EU insists that the funds be transferred through the United Nations and other international aid agencies in accordance with strict rules on how the aid can be spent. That stance has prompted Erdogan to accuse the EU of "mocking the dignity" of the Turkish nation.

On May 10, Erdogan expressed anger at the glacial pace of the EU bureaucracy:

"This country [Turkey] is looking after three million refugees. What did they [the EU] say? We'll give you €3 billion. Well, have they given us any of that money until now? No. They're still stroking the ball around midfield. If you're going to give it, just give it.

"These [EU] administrators come here, tour our [refugee] camps, then ask at the same time for more projects. Are you kidding us? What projects? We have 25 camps running. You've seen them. There is no such thing as a project. We've implemented them."

In an interview with the Financial Times, Fuat Oktay, head of Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the agency responsible for coordinating the country's refugee response, accused European officials of being fixated on "bureaucracies, rules and procedures" and urged the European Commission to find a way around them.

The European Commission insists that it was made clear from the outset that most of the money must go to aid organizations: "Funding under the Facility for Refugees in Turkey supports refugees in the country. It is funding for refugees and not funding for Turkey."

The migration crisis appears to be having political repercussions for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a leading proponent of the EU-Turkey deal. According to a new poll published by the German newsmagazine Cicero on May 10, two-thirds (64%) of Germans oppose a fourth term for Merkel, whose term ends in the fall of 2017.

In an interview with Welt am Sonntag, Horst Seehofer, the leader of the Christian Social Union (CSU), the Bavarian sister-party to Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU), blamed Merkel for enabling Erdogan's blackmail: "I am not against talks with Turkey. But I think it is dangerous to be dependent upon Ankara."

Sahra Wagenknecht of the Left Party accused Merkel of negotiating the EU-Turkey deal without involving her European partners: "The chancellor is responsible for Europe having become vulnerable to blackmail by the authoritarian Turkish regime."Cem Özdemir, leader of the Greens Party and the son of Turkish immigrants said: "The EU-Turkey deal has made Europe subject to Turkish blackmail. The chancellor bears significant responsibility for this state of affairs."

Italy set to double baby bonus to fight birth rate ‘apocalypse’

Rome (AFP) – Italy’s health minister is proposing doubling a ‘baby bonus’ incentive for couples to have more children to combat what she calls a catastrophic decline in the country’s birth rate.

“If we carry on as we are and fail to reverse the trend, there will be fewer than 350,000 births a year in 10 years’ time, 40 percent less than in 2010 — an apocalypse,” the minister, Beatrice Lorenzin, said in an interview published Sunday by daily La Repubblica.

Lorenzin told the paper she wanted to double the standard baby bonus, currently 80 euros ($90) a month for low-to-middle income families, and introduce higher payments for second and subsequent children to encourage bigger families.

Introduced last year, the allowances are currently payable only for babies born between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2017 up to their third birthdays.

Lorenzin wants to expand eligibility to all under-threes (thereby including those born before 2015) and to extend the provision for an additional three years, covering all babies born up until the end of 2020.

Higher-income families, those with taxable earnings of more than 25,000 euros per year, are not eligible for the scheme, excluding about a third of parents.

The allowances are paid at higher rates for the poorest — those declaring less than 7,000 euros a year to the taxman.

Under the new proposals, the payment for second and subsequent children would be 240 euros/month for average families and 400 euros/month for the poorest.

Lorenzin is an influential member of Prime Minister Matteo Renzi’s centre-left government and would not have floated the increased payments without a green light from him, political commentators noted.

The proposals may however raise eyebrows in Brussels, where the European Commission is pressing Renzi to move faster on cutting the country’s budget deficit as a way of bringing down its huge national debt, currently equivalent to more than 130 percent of GDP.

Lorenzin’s proposals would add 2.2 billion euros to public spending over six years, her department estimates.

“In five years we have lost more than 66,000 births (per year) – that is the equivalent of a city the size of Siena,” the minister said. “If we link this to the increasing number of old and chronically ill people, we have a picture of a moribund country.”

Lorenzin said the drive to get Italians to have more children would not be restricted to fiscal incentives.

“Couples have to understand that waiting until after 35 to have children can be a problem,” she said.

80% of Brits would be happy to quit UK for RUSSIA after Putin offers free land

ALMOST eight out of 10 citizens would seriously considering quitting Britain and emigrating to Russia, a poll by Express.co.uk has revealed.

Disillusioned by life in modern Britain, 78% of more than 22,000 respondents replied “Yes! Bargain” to the question “Would you move to Russia in exchange for free land?”

The revelation came after it was revealed that Russian president Vladimir Putin is offering 2.5 acres of land for free to people willing to move to the country’s Siberian wilderness in a bid to boost the area’s economy.

The scheme has captured the imagination of the British public, many of whom have been seduced by the area’s stunning natural beauty as well as Mr Putin’s no-nonsense leadership style.

Simon Sharp told Express.co.uk: "As soon as I read about it my wife and I discussed it.

"There's a certain amount of romanticism. The idea of going back to nature in such a remote area. It would be down to us to test our mettle.

"There's also definitely disillusionment with the UK, with British life. We're all subservient, we won't know what's going on."

He also cited "the change in demographics and seeing rural areas change with urbanisation" as reasons for considering the move."

Another respondant to the poll said: “I like Vladimir Putin even more now. Ah, to be 30 years younger. I would be on my way there now.”

Others pointed to the upcoming EU referendum and a possible vote against Brexit as motivation to make the move 500 miles east to ‘the land where ice meets fire.’

One person said: “It would be a lot better then living under Cameron's and Corbyn’s EU law.”

Another added: “Thank you for your kind offer Mr Putin, if we do not get out of the EU many may be taking up your offer in the future.”

Mr Putin is also seen as an attractive president for British citizens to live under – and his approval ratings are soaring - a stark contrast to leaders in Britain.

While fewer than 35 percent of people support Prime Minister David Cameron and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, Mr Putin commands an 82 percent approval rating in Russia - the highest it has ever been.

However, not everyone saw the proposal as an attractive prospect. Many blanched at the temperatures, which can drop to -47 degrees celsius, or found the dual threat of clouds of mosquitoes in summer or hungry bears in winter a little too much.

Regardless, the Russian Embassy has confirmed to Express.co.uk that “a number of British people have already expressed interest in the project.”

• Now, strontium-90 [Sr-90] has been leaking from Fukushima into the ocean, so it will eventually reach the United States, especially the west coast. This much we are sure of… it is the masses of people who need to realize the impact of the contamination on them. In the case of the Fukushima disaster, for example, they need to be aware that some radioactive material is reaching the North American coast, and the prevailing westerly winds will carry anything released into the atmosphere to the US…

• While we are not really sure [how much radioactive material has leaked from Fukushima] we do know that a portion of this material will ride the prevailing winds across the Pacific Ocean. On the other hand, closer to the ground, the winds will be east, south, and north, and therefore this other portion will fall on Japan―and we can investigate the actual levels here: how much fell on this town, on this prefecture? Adding these up, it seems to be only 2.4 PBq. Which is to say of the total fifteen PBq, 2.4, or roughly only 16%, fell on Japanese soil. If the totals are higher, still a smaller share of the total contamination will have fallen on Japan compared with the Pacific, with the largest portion falling on the west coast of the United States.

• So why don’t we hear complaints from the US? Why are there no calls for compensation? Whenever someone asks me this, I simply say that there just aren’t any such complaints. Why is this so? Well the levels released by the US during the atmospheric testing were tens of times greater than Fukushima. They are the criminals, so they cannot ask for compensation from Japan. The U.S. government does not want to have to reflect on its own past, and I think they are eager to completely avoid bringing up anything like that conversation.

Bee genocide: Nearly half of US honey hives collapsed in past 12 months

The shocking, and seemingly irreversible, destruction of the US honeybee population took a huge hit in the past year, with 44 percent of all hives collapsing between April 2015 and April 2016.

This was the second worst year for colony losses since the "Beepocolypse" started a decade ago, according to The Bee Informed Partnership, the collaboration between the US Department of Agriculture, research labs, and universities that is tracking the alarming numbers.

Honeybee hives are generally inactive during the winter before being rejuvenated in the summer in a natural cycle, but this past season, colony collapses were three times higher than the "acceptable rate".

The varroa mite, first introduced to the US via Florida in 1995, and pesticides are thought to be the main causes of the collapse, although shipping them in trucks across the country to pollinate monocropped farms is also thought to stress them out.

While the crisis is largely caused by humans, they also suffer since honeybees pollinate US$15 billion worth of food crops in the US, one third of the supply.

Why is the government so maniacal about injecting vaccines?

Consider this article in light of the accelerating push to mandate and enforce vaccination across the planet.

The reference is the New York Times, 3/15/15, “Protection Without a Vaccine.” It describes the frontier of research. Here are key quotes that illustrate the use of synthetic genes to “protect against disease,” while changing the genetic makeup of humans. This is not science fiction:

“By delivering synthetic genes into the muscles of the [experimental] monkeys, the scientists are essentially re-engineering the animals to resist disease.”

“’The sky’s the limit,’ said Michael Farzan, an immunologist at Scripps and lead author of the new study.”

“The first human trial based on this strategy — called immunoprophylaxis by gene transfer, or I.G.T. — is underway, and several new ones are planned.”

“I.G.T. is altogether different from traditional vaccination. It is instead a form of gene therapy. Scientists isolate the genes that produce powerful antibodies against certain diseases and then synthesize artificial versions. The genes are placed into viruses and injected into human tissue, usually muscle.”

Here is the punchline: “The viruses invade human cells with their DNA payloads, and the synthetic gene is incorporated into the recipient’s own DNA. If all goes well, the new genes instruct the cells to begin manufacturing powerful antibodies.”

Read that again: “the synthetic gene is incorporated into the recipient’s own DNA.” Alteration of the human genetic makeup. Permanent alteration.

The Times article taps Dr. David Baltimore for an opinion:

“Still, Dr. Baltimore says that he envisions that some people might be leery of a vaccination strategy that means altering their own DNA, even if it prevents a potentially fatal disease.”

Yes, some people might be leery. If they have two or three working brain cells.

Let’s take this further. Under the cover of preventing disease (and all good covert ops float a laudatory goal to conceal their true intent), vaccines are ideal carriers for all sorts of genes that would be permanently incorporated into the human structure.

The enormous tonnage of propaganda about vaccines, and the resultant mandatory laws that enforce vaccination, create a powerful channel along which re-engineering is eminently possible.

Synthetic genes injected into billions of humans would form a grand experiment to create an altered species.

This grand experiment could be compartmentalized. For example, secretly, genes 1-6 would be injected into Group A in geo-location I. Genes 7-12 would be injected into Group B in location II. And so on.

Vaccine recipients will be subjected to ongoing surveillance to gauge the results. On various pretexts, members of these groups will be brought into clinics for exams and tests, to discover markers that purportedly reveal their bodies’ responses to the genetic alterations.

Are these people stronger or weaker? Do they exhibit signs of illness? Do they report behavioral changes? Through surveillance and testing, all sorts of information can be compiled.

Of course, there is no informed consent. The human guinea pigs have no knowledge of what is being done to them.

And what would be the objectives of this lunatic research program? They would vary. On a simplified level, there would be two. Create weaker and more docile and more obedient and more dependent humans. On the other side, create stronger and healthier and more intelligent and more talented humans. Obviously, the results of the latter experiments would be applied to the “chosen few.” And clearly, some of this research will be carried on inside the military. Secrecy is easier to maintain, and the aim to produce “better soldiers” is a long-standing goal of the Pentagon and its research arm, DARPA.

A global vaccine experiment of the type I’m describing here has another bonus for the planners: those people who fall ill or die can be written off as having suffered from various diseases and disorders which “have nothing to do with vaccines.” This is already SOP for the medical cartel.

The numbers of casualties, in this grand experiment, would be of no concern to the Brave New World shapers. As I’ve documented extensively, the US medical system is already killing 2.25 million people per decade (a conservative estimate), as a result of FDA-approved drugs and mistreatment in hospitals. Major media and government leaders, aware of this fact, have done nothing about it.

Here is a quote from Princeton molecular biologist, Lee Silver, the author of Remaking Eden. It gives you a window into how important geneticists are thinking about an engineered future:

“The GenRich—who account for ten percent of the American population—[will] all carry synthetic genes. All aspects of the economy, the media, the entertainment industry, and the knowledge industry are controlled by members of the GenRich class…

“Naturals [unaltered humans] work as low-paid service providers or as laborers. [Eventually] the GenRich class and the Natural class will become entirely separate species with no ability to crossbreed, and with as much romantic interest in each other as a current human would have for a chimpanzee.

“Many think that it is inherently unfair for some people to have access to technologies that can provide advantages while others, less well-off, are forced to depend on chance alone, [but] American society adheres to the principle that personal liberty and personal fortune are the primary determinants of what individuals are allowed and able to do.

“Indeed, in a society that values individual freedom above all else, it is hard to find any legitimate basis for restricting the use of repro[grammed]-genetics. I will argue [that] the use of reprogenetic technologies is inevitable. [W]hether we like it or not, the global marketplace will reign supreme.”

Here is another gem, from Gregory Stock, former director of the program in Medicine, Technology, and Society at the UCLA School of Medicine:

“Even if half the world’s species were lost [during genetic experiments], enormous diversity would still remain. When those in the distant future look back on this period of history, they will likely see it not as the era when the natural environment was impoverished, but as the age when a plethora of new forms—some biological, some technological, some a combination of the two—burst onto the scene. We best serve ourselves, as well as future generations, by focusing on the short-term consequences of our actions rather than our vague notions about the needs of the distant future.”

Notice that these two well-known scientists are speaking about “ethics.” A significant number of such experts have their own lunatic version of what is right and wrong.

With vaccines that permanently alter human genetic makeup on the horizon, and given the corporate and government-agency penchant for secrecy, we are already inhabiting the Brave New World. It’s not a distant prospect.

Every genetic innovation is aimed at bringing us closer to a stimulus-response world, and further away from freedom.

Which is why the defense of freedom becomes ever more vital.

That struggle comes down to who controls, yes, the philosophy, not the science. Is each human merely and only a system waiting to be re-engineered, or is he something far more, inhabiting a physical form?

We already know what the vast majority of brain researchers and geneticists believe, as well as the governments and corporations and universities and foundations that make important decisions.

Of course, these days, the college faculty department considered to be the least important, the most useless, a mere appendage waiting for those with wisdom to put it out of its misery and kill it off…is the philosophy department.

That leaves us to take up the argument and the resistance.

Not Lee Silver at Princeton or Gregory Stock or Bill Gates or George Soros or David Rockefeller or the Pope or Stephen Hawking or Obama or the Clintons or Monsanto or Dow or the Bush family or PBS or FOX or socialists or Communists or liberals or conservatives or some wackadoodle at Harvard or MIT or UCLA.
