Greetings! We have run several articles addressing the topic of trans-humanism, CRISPR technology, gene splicing etc.
All this genetic engineering and dabbling is being done under the guise of the “medical benefits” to mankind.

One of the main questions that arise is why would the elites, whose aim is to destroy the majority of people on this planet want to do something that will benefit us? They don't. It is a complete ruse.

The reason they are doing this research is for their own benefit in their quest to become immortal.

In the first video below, Dr. John Sanford does a very good and simple job of explaining genetic entropy and the reason why we age and die.

He also explains how, with each passing generation that gene mutation occurs, rather than improving, gene mutation has been degenerating showing that man has nowhere the capabilities of his ancestors.

Science so called, and especially evolution, would try and teach us that the opposite is the truth, that man is evolving into a higher species when in fact man is degenerating into a lower species.

It was not that long ago that science was telling us that over ninety percent of our DNA was what they called “junk” DNA.

I do not believe that God makes “junk” DNA.

After the fall of Adam and Eve the human body was radically altered. While man was created an immortal creature, (Romans 8:19-21), after the fall his body became subject to death, disease, and all kinds of problems.

Is it possible God simply switched off or altered man's DNA?

As we have pointed out before, the devil has no new ideas but can only try to imitate what he has seen God is capable of doing.

Is trans-humanism with its genome manipulation an attempt by Satan to reverse the process of DNA degeneration in his attempt to bypass God by offering mankind eternal life and could this all be somehow connected with the “mark of the beast”?

If God turned the genes off could he turn them back on again?

Is it possible the God could even reverse some of this genetic degeneration during these last days? We don't know, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

Mental Clarity During Near-Death Experiences Suggests Mind Exists Apart From Brain: Study

If the mind is just a function of the brain, it stands to reason that the worse the brain is injured, the worse the mind would function. While this is what much of current brain research is finding, a body of evidence exists suggesting otherwise: under extreme circumstances, such as close to death, the mind may function well—or even better than usual—when the brain is impaired.

This suggests the mind may function independently of the brain.

One of the researchers who has been studying such cases is Dr. Alexander Batthyany, a professor of theoretical psychology and the philosophy of psychology in Liechtenstein and at the cognitive science department at the University of Vienna.

In his most recent study, published this month in the Journal of Near-Death Studies, Batthyany and his colleagues reviewed thousands of accounts of near-death experiences (NDEs) to determine the quality of vision and cognition.

He reported: “The more severe the physiological crisis, the more likely NDEers are to report having experienced clear and complex cognitive and sensory functioning.”

Part of Batthyany’s goal was to replicate earlier studies, few as they are, that have looked at the quality of vision and cognition during NDEs.

In a 2007 study by researchers at the University of Virginia, titled “Unusual Experiences: Near Death and Related Phenomena,” 52.2 percent of NDEers reported clearer vision. Jeffrey Long, M.D., founder of the Near Death Experiences Research Foundation (NDERF), found in a survey of 1,122 NDEers, that about 74 percent reported “more consciousness and alertness.”

“I felt extremely aware, totally present, sharp, and focused. In hindsight, it’s like being half asleep when I was alive, and totally awake after I was pronounced dead,” said one experiencer, as noted in Batthyany’s study.

“My mind felt cleared and my thoughts seemed quick and decisive. I felt a great sense of freedom and was quite content to be rid of my body. I felt a connection with everything around me in a way that I cannot describe. I felt as if I was thinking faster or that time had slowed down considerably,” said another.

While Batthyany’s study confirmed, to a certain extent, the results of the previous studies that had shown an increase in cognitive and sensory functioning during NDEs, his methodology had some limitations. He said these limitations may have led to lower estimates for the percentage of NDEers who have heightened cognition.

Methodology Limitations

He compiled thousands of written accounts from online repositories of experiences, such as the NDERF website, and ran them through a computer program, which identified words related to vision or cognition (such as “saw” or “thought”).

He and his colleagues then rated the quality of vision or cognition described in this smaller sample on a scale from -2 to +2. They further narrowed their study to experiences that included detailed explanations of the medical conditions that accompanied the NDEs. Only patients with cardiac and/or respiratory arrest were included in this study.

Previous studies had asked NDEers directly about the quality of their vision and cognition. Batthyany’s study, however, could only analyze the information given in general NDE accounts. So, for example, when he decided that there was “no change” in cognition or vision in some accounts, it may have been that there was indeed a change but that the NDEer hadn’t described it specifically enough to be counted.

Of the NDEers who mentioned visual perception, about 47 percent said they had enhanced vision. And 41 percent had unchanged vision, “which in itself is quite remarkable, given that these patients were in a severe medical crisis, and often unconscious,” Batthyany said in an email to Epoch Times.

Of the NDEers who made explicit references to awareness and mentation, about 35 percent said they had increased awareness and mentation. And about 61 percent reported normal everyday awareness during cardiac and respiratory arrest.

Given the implications of his study, Batthyany was careful to note other shortcomings in his methodology, including the fact that online NDE descriptions may include some fraudulent reports. But, he also noted reasons that these methodological shortcomings do not likely impact his overall finding that NDEs, by and large, include improved vision and cognition.

For example, concerning the risk of including fraudulent accounts, he wrote: “On NDERF, the largest contributor of NDEs studied here, less than 1 percent of posted NDEs have been removed due to concerns about their validity. Additionally, given the sheer number of accounts, it is unlikely that fake reports have significantly biased our results in one or the other direction. One would expect fake accounts … to be prototypical of the popular NDE narrative.”

In addition to these NDE studies, studies on the phenomena of terminal lucidity and mindsight also support the conclusion that the mind may engage in complex conscious activity even as brain functioning severely deteriorates, Batthyany said.

Terminal Lucidity, Mindsight

He has studied terminal lucidity in Alzheimer’s patients. This is a phenomenon in which patients who have been completely incoherent for many years seem to suddenly return to their senses shortly before death.

When the brain is at the furthest stage of degeneration, the expectation would be that the ability to make coherent connections between memories and various thoughts and emotions would be so far gone that a “whole” person could no longer emerge. Yet at this time, the whole mind seems to flash through, with all its connections intact.

“Mindsight” refers to the phenomenon in which blind people report being able to see during NDEs. This has been studied, for example, by Kenneth Ring at the University of Connecticut. Ring found that 15 out of 21 blind participants reported some kind of sight during NDEs.

Hallucinations?

Batthyany noted that some scientists consider NDEs to be hallucinations produced by neurophysiological processes.

“The findings reported in this paper and cases of terminal lucidity and mindsight, however, appear to suggest otherwise in that they indicate the presence of complex and structured conscious experience during decline, breakdown, or absence of the neurobiological correlates commonly held to be causative factors of NDEs—and of conscious experience in general,” he said.

He concluded that consciousness—including a sense of selfhood, complex visual imagery, and mental clarity—can sometimes outlive altered brain functioning, including even a flatline of electrical activity in the brain.

Terminal lucidity and mindsight are very rare phenomena, but NDEs are more numerous and “our results suggest that the continuity of visual imagery, mentation, and sense of selfhood is the rule rather than the exception during NDEs.”

Batthyany wrote: “It remains for future researchers to confirm or disconfirm our informal observation through formal analysis.”

His study, “Complex Visual Imagery and Cognition During Near-Death Experiences,” can be found in Volume 34, No. 2, of the Journal of Near-Death Studies.

Government to lift moratorium on cross-species, ‘chimera’ research

The federal government is planning to lift a moratorium on funding for research studying the effects of injecting animal embryos with human stem cells, creating half-human half-animal hybrids.

The National Institutes of Health policy would allow federal funding to go toward research creating human-animal embryos known as “chimeras.”

Carrie D. Wolinetz, NIH’s associate director for science, announced Thursday in a blog post that the agency is requesting public comment on expanding funding for such research, signaling the end of a moratorium on the experimentation.

Ms. Wolinetz said development of “these types of human-animal organism … holds tremendous potential for disease modeling, drug testing, and perhaps eventual organ transplant.”

“I am confident that these proposed changes will enable the NIH research community to move this promising area of science forward in a responsible manner,” she wrote.

The change in protocol was proposed nearly a year after the NIH issued a reprieve on funding for chimera research.

I just listened to Obama give Washington’s account of the situation with ISIL in Iraq and Syria.

In Obama’s account, Washington is defeating ISIL in Iraq, but Russia and Assad are defeating the Syrian people in Syria. Obama denounced Russia and the Syrian government—but not ISIL—as barbaric. The message was clear: Washington still intends to overthrow Assad and turn Syria into another Libya and another Iraq, formerly stable and prosperous countries where war now rages continually.

It sickens me to hear the President of the United States lie and construct a false reality, so I turned off the broadcast. I believe it was a press conference, and I am confident that no meaningful questions were asked.

If Helen Thomas were still there, she would ask the Liar-in-Chief what went wrong with Washington’s policy in Iraq. We were promised that a low-cost “cakewalk” war of three or six weeks duration would bring “freedom and democracy” to Iraq. Why is it that 13 years later Iraq is a hellhole of war and destruction?

What happened to the “freedom and democracy?” And the “Cakewalk”?

You can bet your life that no presstitute asked Obama this question.

No one asked the Liar-in-Chief why the Russians and Syrians could clear ISIL out of most of Syria in a couple of months, but Washington has been struggling for several years to clear ISIL out of Iraq. Is it possible that Washington did not want to clear ISIL out of Iraq because Washington intended to use ISIL to clear Assad out of Syria?

No one asked the Liar-in-Chief why Washington sent ISIL to Syria and Iraq in the first place, or why the Syrians and Russians keep finding US weapons In ISIL’s military depots, or why Washington’s allies were funding ISIL by purchasing the oil ISIL is stealing from Iraq.

It seems to be the case that ISIL originated in the mercenaries that Washington organized to overthrow Gaddafi in Libya and were sent to Syria to overthrow Assad when the UK Parliament refused to participate in Washington’s invasion of Syria and the Russians put a stop to it.

All of the violence in the Middle East, violence that has consumed countless lives and produced millions of war refugees now overrunning Washington’s NATO vassals in Europe, is 100 percent the fault of Washington, not the fault of ISIL, or Assad, or Russia. Washington and only Washington is to blame.

Washington produced this violence. Where is the question: “Why, Mr. President, did Washington introduce 15 years of massive and ongoing violence into the Middle East and then expect us to believe that it was the fault of someone else?”

If Helen Thomas were there, she would ask the relevent questions. But the pussies that comprise the American press corps are merely an audience that validates the false reality spun by Washington by accepting it without question.

Meanwhile, Moscow and Beijing have understood the message. Washington intends war. The purpose of Washington’s lies is to prepare the insouciant Western peoples for war against the two countries that Washington cannot subjugate except by victory in war.

By faithful vassalage to Washington, Europe is bringing death and destruction to the world.

North Korea BANS the crucifix as officials raid shops looking for cross

NORTH Korea has banned all products bearing marks that resemble a cross, in a savage crackdown on Christianity.

Government officials are confiscating items with crosses on labels and raiding shops for the markings.

In a bizarre move, students have even been told to be careful how they write the mathematical plus sign in case it is mistaken for a crucifix.

Clothing and hair clips are also being inspected by Kim Jong-un's regime which is opposed to organised religion.

One trader, based in capital Pyongyang, told Radio Free Asia: “We’ve always had to make sure there were no Korean characters on the labels of products that we brought in from China.

“Now we have to check again to see that there isn’t anything that looks like a cross.

“Some designs on women’s clothing can look a lot like a cross, depending on who is looking at it.

"Cross designs also appear on women’s hairpins and hair bands and on men’s neckties.

“These products are more likely to be confiscated during customs checks."

North Korea has been named the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian.

Kim Jong-un's despotic regime is said to reserve its harshest punishments for Christians, with believers facing arrest, torture, imprisonment and death.

The crackdown extends to Chinese sweets which are sometimes shaped like the letter X.

Traders say they cannot argue with customs officials.

One trader, based in North Hamgyong province, said: “If customs officers confiscate these products, insisting the shape looks like a cross, we have nowhere to complain.

“And if young women carry key chains or wear earrings that have designs resembling a cross, these are also taken away.”

It's estimated 70,000 Christians are currently in prison or labour camps in North Korea because of their faith.

Many are forced to worship in secret and risk torture and death to do so.

It’s believed there are 300,000 Christians in North Korea with defectors claiming four church buildings in the capital of Pyongyang are used as showpieces by the authorities.

Under the country’s strict class system Christians are classed as “hostiles” receiving less food and harsher punishments.

The crackdown on items including clothes and accessories comes after Kim Jong-un banned piercings and Western-style clothes.

North Koreans are also expected to style and cut their hair in a regime-approved style and there are restrictions on dress.

A spokesman for Open Doors said the Christian advocacy charity will continue to work inside the secretive country despite efforts to stamp out Christianity by Jong-un’s regime.

The charity worker said: “Despite Christianity being strictly forbidden Open Doors estimates there are 200,000 – 400,000 Christians who worship in secret inside North Korea.

“Open Doors works to support the church in North Korea by supplying persecuted believers with emergency relief aid such as food, medicines and clothes. Open Doors also distributes books and other Christian materials and provides training through radio broadcasting.”

Turkish Lawmaker Calls for Closure of NATO’s Incirlik Air Base After Failed Coup

Deputy Chairman of the Center-Left Republican People’s Party (CHP) Namik Havutca argues that the base that stores 90 US tactical nuclear weapons “makes enemies of friendly countries and poses a threat to Turkey’s internal stability.

In the wake of the failed attempt to overthrow the Erdogan government on July 15 and the ensuing purge that has led to over 18,000 military servicemen and judges being rounded up and imprisoned on charges of treason, yet another Turkish leader has stepped forward calling on the country to step back from its alliance with NATO forces who top Erdogan regime officials accuse of being complicit in the botched coup.

The Deputy Chairman of Turkey’s Center-Left Republican People’s Party has called for the immediate eviction of all foreign aircraft, tools and materials from the country and said that Incirlik Air Base should be shuttered.

"Incirlik Air Base has added nothing but instability and fragmentation to Turkey and the region," said Havutca. The lawmaker went on to say that the NATO base failed to stand by the Turkish people at a time when their blood was being spilled and the nation was in tears.

The lawmaker said that Incirlik Air Base poses a threat to the country, both internally and externally calling it responsible for "multiplying our enemies and turning our friends into enemies of the state."

The politician has pushed forward a proposal titled "Incirlik Get Out" and calls on his colleagues in the parliament to support the measure in order to put an end to the military facility that he calls a "virus" that eats away at the Middle East.

Finally, Havutca alleges that the NATO base "served the purpose of providing logical support to the organization in the coup attempt."

The strong words mirror recent anti-American protests near the base including a demonstration one week ago where 5,000 protesters screaming "death to the US" were trailed by vehicles and demanded that Incirlik Air Base be shutdown.

The agitation of the Turkish people also comes amid numerous claims by the Erdogan regime that the CIA, FBI, and a top US General John F. Campbell were all really the masterminds of the coup whereas the regime’s nemesis-in-chief Fethullah Gulen was called nothing but a "pawn" by the Turkish President.

Why Washington is Terrified by the Prospects of the Upcoming Putin-Erdogan Meeting

It’s been announced that Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan will go to St. Petersburg to hold a personal meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin this Tuesday. According to Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, it will be the first personal meeting of the two leaders since November 2015 that will focus on the restoration of bilateral relations between Russia and Turkey that deteriorated rapidly after the downing of Russia’s Su-24 over Syria. It’s been reported that the two presidents will be holding talks with businessmen and may even discuss the compensation that Turkey will pay for the destruction of the Russian military aircraft.

Last time Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan met was in November 2015 at the G20 summit in the Turkish city of Antalya. Less than two weeks later the Turkish Air Force brought down a Russian bomber over Syria, which resulted in the diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries being frozen.

The importance of this meeting for Turkey is being stressed by the fact that Erdogan is going to leave Turkey to take this trip, in spite of the extremely complicated domestic situation that his country faces. This shows that Ankara is truly interested in the restoration of multi-dimensional partnership with Russia. It’s no wonder that the Foreign Policy would note that the St. Petersburg meeting is more than just another summit – it is the opening ceremony for a broader Turkish tilt toward Moscow. And it’s perfectly logical since Erdogan’s internal policies are making Ankara gravitate towards Moscow with an increasing speed.

Its been noted that for the past two weeks a steady parade of Turkish ministers have flown to Moscow to lay the groundwork – confirmation that the Turkish-Russian relationship, on ice for the past eight months, is headed for a summer thaw. The aftermath of the recent failed military coup, that was prepared by the CIA in a bid to put an end to Erdogan’s political career and, quite possibly, his life has pushed Turkey away from the West and toward Russia From the outset of the coup Putin offered his support for Erdogan, in contrast to Secretary of State John Kerry’s initial equivocations. Predictably, that contrast has only grown sharper over the past two weeks: while Russia has raised no objections to Erdogan’s attempt to locate Gulen’s supporters in the key government institutions, the West has regularly criticized his crackdowns, with Kerry even threatening Turkey’s membership in NATO.

The Week would note that while going forward, we should expect both countries to cooperate even more, while Turkey, a NATO member, will distance itself further from the West. In turn, L’Hebdo, the prominent Swiss media source, rests assured that the West has every reason to fear Putin’s meeting with Erdogan, while NATO states are riddled with anxiety, since there’s little doubt that the meeting of the two presidents will mark the final reconciliation step between Moscow and Ankara. The newspaper notes that Turkey is a pivotal NATO member that occupies a strategic position on the crossroads between the West, the Arab world, the Caucasus and Russia. The 315 thousand men strong Turkish army is the second largest in the alliance, and even if it seems disoriented today, Turkish government would gradually restore its control over this force.

In terms of economy and trade balance, Turkey is much closer to Russia than it is to the United States, the newspaper notes, while the turnover between Moscow and Ankara has already reached 35 billion dollars, it is believed that this number will reach 100 billion dollars by 2020. The European Union is not much of a partner for Ankara too, since the former is riddled with ideological conflicts, security challenges, economic stagnation, and the notorious Brexit. The idea that Erdogan can reintroduce death penalty, should Turkish people demand it, wouldn’t have quite the same effect on Moscow than it would have on the EU, notes L’Hebdo.

The French Liberation provides a much tougher analysis on the upcoming meeting in St. Petersburg, since its analysts are convinced that the rapprochement between Putin and Erdogan is a true catastrophe and that Europe has never been weaker in face of this duo.

Recently anti-American sentiments have been on the rise in Turkey due to the claims that Washington was behind the failed military coup in Turkey and the reluctance of American authorities to extradite the self exiled cleric Fethullah Gulen, which is believed to be the mastermind behind the anti-government operation in Ankara. It is reported that anti-American rallies are spreading rapidly across the country. Protesters have even reached the Incirlik base, which is not simply NATO’s strongest foothold in the Mediterranean, but is also the place where the US stores its nuclear warheads.

Moreover, Ankara has recently changed its rhetorics on the downing of Russia’s aircraft over Syria in November. According to the new version, Washington took part in the downing of Su-24, that was organized with the help of the Gulen movement. We are being told that one of the Turkish pilots involved has shown his true face when he agreed to bomb Ankara on the night of July 16.

However, the loss of Turkey as a NATO outpost in the Mediterranean is hardly an acceptable development for both the EU and the US. For this reason Turkey has recently been visited by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph F. Dunford, which hasn’t lost all hopes to make friends with Ankara yet again.

But we must not forget that Ankara’s abrupt turn towards Russia occurred when Turkey recognized that it was being prepared for the “future US president and her wars.” Turkey was the last state that was to be brought down by US intelligence services in order to collapse the whole region. It is not surprising that the Turkish newspaper Yeni Safak Daily is convinced that “Ankara has grabbed America by the throat … and now it tightens the grip. “

The upcoming talks of the Russian and Turkish leaders will be held in the situation when politics has overcome economics. If Turkey shows its desire to change its stance on Syria and the fight against terrorism, Russia will cooperate with it, there can be no doubt about it. And if Ankara takes a more adequate negotiation position, we can await the creation of a geopolitical alliance.

So the White House and the West has every reason to be afraid of the upcoming meeting between Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin.

West's Nightmare: Putin and Erdogan Friends Again

Turkey is moving eastwards and may unleash a security nightmare scenario for both Europe, the US and NATO. Thus, the summit between presidents Erdogan and Putin in St. Petersburg on Tuesday has been called historic in advance, Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet pointed out.

Russian-Turkish relations are clearly entering a new phase. The chill in the Russian-Turkish relations seems to be gradually being replaced with a thaw, as the two countries' presidents are all set for a face-to-face meeting.

"This will be a historic visit, a new beginning. The talks with my friend Vladimir open a new page in our bilateral relations," president Erdogan said prior the meeting with Putin.

The agenda focuses on re-establishing political and economic relations, as well as finding a solution to the Syrian crisis. Russia is determined to continue its support to the democratically elected Syrian president. Today, Erdogan no longer seems to mind this idea.

"Without the participation of Russia, it is impossible to reach a solution in Syria," Erdogan says now.

The NATO summit in Warsaw in early July (with Erdogan present) was by many hailed as a triumph, as a united NATO "stood up" against "aggressive" Russia.

Today, NATO country member Turkey is clearly moving eastwards, emphasizing common interests with Russia. For the West and NATO, this may spell extra geopolitical pressure, Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet's columnist Jonas Gummesson wrote in today's opinion piece.

According to Gummesson, NATO's stature requires consensual decisions on every level. Turkey's rapprochement with "aggressive" Russia may undermine NATO's unity and limit the alliance's defense ability in a tightened security mode, which in its turn may compromise the security of, among other, the Baltic region, including non-aligned Sweden, which is creeping up on NATO.

Lastly, Gummesson stressed that Turkey, despite its NATO association and perennial prospects for EU membership, already is a dialogue partner to the mighty Shanghai Cooperation Organization, with Russia and China as the dominant states. In light of the recent development, this idea may appear more alluring to Erdogan than the obviously inaccessible EU membership.

Last time Turkey's Erdogan and Russia's Putin met in the flesh was at last-year G20 summit in Turkey's Antalya in mid-November. Only a week thereafter a diplomatic debacle ensued after Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jet in Syria, whereupon the contacts between the two countries were put on ice for over half a year.

At the end of June, Turkey gave an apology, which Putin had demanded from the very beginning. Erdogan called the incident "unintentional" and in a telephone conversation stressed that Russia was a "strategic partner," calling for "friendly relations" in the future.

After the military coup in mid-July, the tone sharpened between Turkey and Europe and the United States. A wave of arrests, open accusations of US involvement in the coup and dubious statements on the death penalty have all fueled the West's suspicion against the Turkish president's intentions and ambitions. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the EU is dependent on Turkey to deal with the persistent refugee crisis, whereas US warplanes use Turkish airbases in the fight against Daesh terrorists.

Malcolm Roberts believes the United Nations is attempting to create an unelected global government

One of Australia's new senators has said climate change is a global conspiracy created by bankers seeking to establish a worldwide government.

Malcolm Roberts won a Queensland Senate seat as member of the anti-immigration One Nation party in recent elections.

He says the United Nations is using climate change to lay the foundations for an unelected global government.

His previous writing indicates that he believes a shadowy cabal of bankers is controlling world affairs.

One Nation is led by Pauline Hanson, who during the 1990s was a controversial figure in Australian politics for her views on immigration and Indigenous Australians.

The party won four seats in Australia's Senate during the election, making it the fourth-largest voting bloc in the upper house.

The BBC has asked Mr Roberts for an interview and submitted questions to him by email, but has not received a reply.

But in recent interviews with the Australian Broadcasting Corp (ABC), Mr Roberts stood by his previous positions.

He called for an investigation into Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) over its handling of climate change science.

When asked if he still believed the UN was trying to impose a worldwide government through climate change policy, Mr Roberts answered: "Definitely".

'Notice of non-acceptance'

In 2011, Mr Roberts wrote a letter to then Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard demanding to be exempted from the country's carbon tax.

The letter, addressed to "The Woman, Julia-Eileen:Gillard", contained a 28-point affidavit that sought to establish Mr Roberts' exemption from the need to obey the Australian government.

He referred to himself as "Malcolm-Ieuan: Roberts., the living soul", and identified himself as the "beneficiary, administrator" for a corporate entity called MALCOLM IEUAN ROBERTS.

The punctuation and language is consistent with a style of language used by the so-called sovereign citizen movement, which sees governments as illegitimate and attempts to assert the rights of individuals to ignore laws and taxes.

The use of unusual grammar and punctuation by sovereign citizens is intended to establish independence from the government's legal system.

However, in a radio interview with the ABC, Mr Roberts denied that he was affiliated with the movement.

'Unfounded claims'

Mr Roberts also wrote a report in 2013 entitled CSRIOh!: Climate of Deception, Or First Step to Freedom? that detailed his rejection of man-made global warming.

"The UN IPCC's unfounded core claim about human CO2 is part of UN Agenda 21 campaign for global governance," the report said.

In a 135-page appendix to the report, Mr Roberts wrote in detail about his belief that an international cabal of bankers is exercising enormous influence on world affairs.

The report says the US Federal Reserve and Bank of England are privately controlled corporations, and that their owners are seeking to introduce carbon trading into the world economy as a way to generate money and extend their control.

It also lists Holocaust denier and conspiracy theorist Eustace Mullins as a primary reference.

Mr Roberts has been criticised in the past by prominent Australian climate sceptic Andrew Bolt, who said his theories on banking families "smacks too much of the Jewish world conspiracy theorising I've always loathed".

But in the report Mr Roberts writes that those who "falsely smear or imply those raising the topic [of the international banking scam] as anti-Jewish … is an unfounded furphy [an untruth] designed to distract. The reality is that international bankers come from a variety of religions."

Mr Roberts told the ABC that his top priorities as a senator were "accountability" for the government and "restoring the constitution", relieving cost-of-living pressures, economic security and security from terrorism.

WARNING: Experts say GM mosquitoes could transmit modified DNA to humans

(NaturalNews) Genetically modified mosquitoes that have been released in Brazil, and may soon be released in Florida to combat the Zika virus, have the potential to directly inject modified DNA into any humans they bite.

The lab-bred GM Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, according to Oxitec – the biotech company that breeds them – are genetically programed to mate with wild females and transfer a gene that is fatal to any offspring.

But critics of the technique say too little is known about the potential for long-term environmental damage, as well as how humans will react to the injection of the gene if they are bitten by a GM Aedes aegypti mosquito.

The Zika virus is not new. As reported by Collective Evolution, it has been around since at least 1947. What's more, the virus is marketed by two companies, and the Rockefeller Foundation owns the patent on the virus.

There is also the fact that the virus – which is generally weak, causing mostly mild symptoms that disappear in a few days – may not be the cause behind a rash of babies born with microcephaly in Brazil, where the current outbreak began. There could be other environmental factors working in conjunction with the Zika virus, or something else altogether.

Microcephaly limited to just one region of Brazil; Zika might not be sole cause

"We can see there is a kind of cluster in [part of] the northeast region with high prevalence and high severity, of miscarriage and congenital malformation that is really severe," Fatima Marinho, coordinator of epidemiological analysis and information at Brazil's Ministry of Health told The Globe and Mail.

"But we didn't find this in other states – even the [adjacent] states didn't see the same situation as in the epicenter. ... We were preparing for an explosion and it didn't come," Marinho added.

"So we started to think that in this central area maybe more than Zika is causing this intensity and severity. This is an area that was under attack by viruses: Some parts even had measles," during the time the bulk of the microcephaly cases arose, Marinho said.

Brazilian researchers won't know the answer for months, but in the meantime, additional DNA-changing mosquitoes are due to be set loose in Florida, where some homegrown Zika cases have turned up. But thus far there have been no U.S. cases of Zika-linked microcephaly.

As reported by CBS News, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has "confirmed" that Zika virus causes some babies to be born with abnormally small heads, but the Brazilian Health Ministry says that researchers are not entirely certain that is correct. Also, scientists do know that other viruses and environmental toxins can cause the condition.

'Zika hysteria dominating the scientifically illiterate media'

In recent days, Natural News founder and editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger and author of the new book, Food Forensics, reported that the lack of microcephaly cases in other places where the Zika virus has been prevalent proves that the "doomsday" scenario being painted by the CDC and others is evidence of a "massive hoax."

And many are concerned about the transfer to humans of the genetic code carried by GM mosquitoes: What effect will the gene have on the ecosystems in which humans dwell?

That's because the tactic of introducing the GM mosquitoes into the environment to kill Zika-carrying breeds is not 100 percent foolproof. Some of Oxitec's own research notes that the antibiotic tetracycline, which is very pervasive in Brazil's livestock sector, could render as many as 15 percent of the GM mosquitoes ineffective. But the natural order of things is still affected by the passing along of DNA.

"Zika hysteria dominated the scientifically illiterate media, in much the same way that the climate change hoax also grabs headlines," writes Adams. "In both cases, you have the combination of false fear and bad science, amplified by a scientifically illiterate (but politically compliant) mainstream media, and believed by a gullible population of cowardly consumers who fall for every quack science hoax perpetrated on them by dishonest government."

Centuries-Old Flea Market In France Canceled This Year Over Terrorism Fears

For centuries, the northern French town of Lille has been home to an autumn flea market — as famous for its party atmosphere as for its wealth of secondhand goods. Last year, more than 2 million people came to the weekend festival to gulp down oysters, drink all night and haggle over goods.

But La Braderie de Lille has been called off this year. After recent terrorist attacks in France, authorities say it is impossible to ensure security, NPR's Eleanor Beardsley reports.

"Lille Mayor Martine Aubrey said canceling La Braderie was a gut-wrenching decision, but the city could not guarantee the safety of the more than 2 million visitors who show up for the street fair," Eleanor reports. "The head of Lille's Chamber Of Commerce called the cancellation an economic and cultural disaster.

"Summer festivals and outdoor events across France are being scaled back this year under the heightened terrorist threat," she says.

The fair was scheduled for September 5-6, starting on Saturday afternoon and going nonstop through the night.

La Braderie de Lille has evolved over its very long history. It reportedly began in the 12th century, according to the Braderie's website, and was dedicated to servants selling their masters' castoff goods. Eventually, it evolved into a larger gathering of sellers — and added a strong focus on moules-frites, or mussels and fries.

The fair was suspended during World War II, and was less exciting than usual during the post-war reconstruction, the fair says — but it roared back to life in the '70s.

Each year, the millions of visitors eat hundreds of tons of mussels. It's a competition for the local restaurants — they pile the empty shells outside their doors, showing off their success.

The weekend begins with a half-marathon, with thousands of runners. The flea market has 10,000 vendors, stretched out over 100 kilometers (more than 60 miles) of city street, according to Flea Market Insiders.

Fears of terrorism have surrounded the two-day, once-a-year flea market before. The risk was discussed in 1995, when France had been bombed by the Armed Islamic Group, as well as last year, La Voix du Nord reports.

Despite concerns, the fair has always gone ahead as planned — except for during the Nazi occupation of France, says Laurence Phillips, who has written several Lille travel guides.

La Voix du Nord dipped into its archives and found coverage of the market's cancellation during World War II — and its triumphant return afterward. Here's a translation, thanks to NPR's Ned Wharton and Mathilde Piard:

"During the six years of World War II, the city of Lille (which was occupied by the Germans for four years) gave up the Braderie. The city was liberated by the Allies on the weekend of September 2 and 3, 1944: it would be the last year without markets.

"In 1945 the Braderie rose from the ashes, and its comeback was documented by a journalist from La Voix du Nord:

" 'Oh, certainly, it wasn't the Braderie of years past, the nights weren't as full of true Flemish revelry and drinking parties like you'd see in a Teniers painting, no nocturnal throngs — still, the fair was going full swing until four in the morning, which is not that bad.'

"The journalist concluded, firmly convinced that the Braderie still had good days ahead: 'The tradition is not lost and we expect that the next Braderies will regain their former importance.' A note of hope that today has been fulfilled."

Tradition or no, the mayor says that this year the risks were just too high.

"To have sharpshooters on roofs at the market, riot police on each street corner and helicopters and drones flying overhead would not be in the spirit of the market," Aubrey said, according to France24.

The Braderie is scheduled to return in 2017.

A Palace Was Unearthed Where Legend Places King Arthur's Birthplace

Archaeologists at Tintagel uncover walls and artifacts from a Dark Ages complex likely used by local kings

The first extensive written account of King Arthur came around 1138, when historian Geoffrey of Monmouth wrote History of the Kings of Britain. Even at the time, Monmouth’s story was not accepted by many other scholars of his day. But over the centuries, the tale of Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot and Guinevere has gained its place in popular imagination, even if evidence for their existence remains elusive.

But a new structure uncovered on the Tintagel peninsula in Cornwall adds a tiny sliver of credence to the Arthur legend. According to David Keys at the Independent, archaeologists are working to uncover a large palace with three-foot wide stone walls and flagstone floors in the area that Monmouth claimed was Arthur’s birthplace (or at least where he was conceived). The palace was likely built in the 6th century and is the most substantial structure from the dark ages uncovered in Britain to date.

The palace is just one of a dozen structures that ground penetrating radar surveys picked up on the Tintagel peninsula, some of which likely housed workman, soldiers and artists. Whoever lived in the main structure, however, lived a pretty glamorous lifestyle considering it was the dark ages. The researchers have evidence that they drank wine from the geographic area known as Turkey today, and used olive oil from the Greek Isles and Tunisia. They drank from painted glass cups from France and ate off plates from North Africa.

The global feast shows that although the Romans abandoned Britain in 410, they likely re-established trade with the island and Cornwall in particular to get access to Cornish tin a century later. “The discovery of high-status buildings ― potentially a royal palace complex ― at Tintagel is transforming our understanding of the site,” Winn Scutt of English Heritage, the government agency that is supporting a five-year excavation at the site tells Keys. “It is helping to reveal an intriguing picture of what life was like in a place of such importance in the historically little-known centuries following the collapse of Roman administration in Britain.”

Could the palace have any connection to a historical King Arthur? The complex likely belonged to the rulers of Dumnonia, who controlled that area of Cornwall during the Dark Ages. By the time Monouth wrote his story, those structures were likely abandoned, though their history could have been passed down orally.

“It is showing there could indeed be some truth behind the earliest stories about King Arthur’s birth at Tintagel,” Graham Phillips, author of “The Lost Tomb of King Arthur,” tells Tom Rowley and Nicola Harley at The Telegraph. “If nothing else, it means the legend about where Arthur was born isn’t so fanciful after all and deserves further investigation. It is going to start a whole new line of investigation by historians.”

Geoffrey Ashe, a historian who believes the Arthur story is likely a composite of tales about several early British kings, says the new find may give Geoffrey of Monmouth more credibility, as Rowley and Harley report. “Hollywood versions of Arthur never happened. But behind it, I would certainly say there is more and more evidence that there was a British ruler at about the right time and in about the right place. It is not the Arthur of the manuscript, but it is not wishful thinking either.”

Scutt, however, warns about jumping to conclusions and says the researchers aren’t looking for clues to Arthur. “We don’t know what Geoffrey of Monmouth was drawing on: his was a work of fact and fiction and disentangling the two is fraught with difficulties,” he tells Rowley and Harley.

If the researchers dig up a staff that says “Merlin,” however, we may start to believe.
