The Trebek Effect: The Benefits of Well Wishes

Long-time “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek announced in March that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Within days, he offered thanks to “the hundreds of thousands of people who have sent emails, texts, tweets, and cards wishing me well regarded my health.” Then last month, Trebek reported that his cancer was in “near remission,” saying that his doctors “hadn’t seen this kind of positive results in their memory.”

Although the odds remain stacked against Trebek (advanced pancreatic cancer has a 3% 5-year survival rate), his experience raises an intriguing question: What are the benefits of such well wishes?

Greeting card industry statistics amply demonstrate the relevance of the question to most Americans: We buy about 6.5 billion greeting cards a year, and while birthdays constitute the number one occasion, “Get Well” cards figure heavily in the mix.

BENEFITS FOR RECIPIENTS

The most immediately apparent benefits of well wishes accrue to recipients. When we are injured, sick or suffering, knowing that someone else is thinking about us can be a source of comfort. It counteracts one of the worst aspects of suffering – isolation. During periods of convalescence, we often miss school or take time off from work and other social activities, which leaves us feeling alone. Knowing that we are in someone else’s thoughts helps to counteract this.

When such well wishes are accompanied by offers of assistance, they can help to solve everyday challenges. Co-workers might offer to assume work responsibilities so that a colleague can take the time needed to get better. Neighbors might offer to feed a convalescent’s pets, to deliver groceries or to help with household chores or self-care. Relatives might offer to stay with loved ones, or even bring them into their own homes to provide care.

Prayer offers perhaps the most dramatic opportunity to study the health benefits of well wishes. In studies of the efficacy of prayers for others, some studies have shown small health benefits, while others have shown no effect.

As a practicing physician who teaches large numbers of medical students and residents, I believe that sharing well wishes benefits us in all sorts of ways that are not reflected in medical outcomes. For example, reaching out to others can reduce anxiety and fear, and connections formed during difficult times may persist for many years, even a lifetime.

BENEFITS FOR WELL WISHERS

Wishing others well is also good for the person doing the well-wishing. For one thing, we cannot genuinely do so without shifting our attention away from ourselves. Much unhappiness can be traced to an excessive preoccupation with self, which for some can reach the point that we become curved in on ourselves. Thinking of others counteracts this. There is neurological evidence that acts of generosity make us feel less anxious and happier.

People who feel disconnected from others suffer health consequences worse than obesity, smoking and high blood pressure. By contrast, wishing others well helps us to recognize our interdependence, thereby fostering a greater sense of connectedness. We tend to invest more of our own time and energy in others when we stop and contemplate how much our well-being – economic, social, psychological and spiritual – hinges on theirs.

Of course, there is a trap here that needs to be recognized and avoided. We cannot genuinely wish others well if we are doing it for our own sake. Merely to appear to others to have their best interests at heart while really pursuing our own is but a form of deception, only compounding the adverse effects of self-centeredness and isolation. To realize real benefits from caring for others, we must genuinely care for them.

BENEFITS FOR ALL

It is so important to care for others that we should do it, at least in some cases, even when it redounds to our detriment. For example, marriage, parenting and friendship involve sacrifices. Sometimes we set aside our own good entirely to tend to the needs of another. While we may not benefit directly from such sacrifices, we do help to build larger wholes – relationships and communities – of which we are all a part. We make the world a better place.

The need to foster mutual care has perhaps never been greater. When Americans were asked in 1985 to say how many people they were close to, the typical response was three. By 2004, this number had dropped to zero. Over one-quarter of us reported that we have no one we consider a close friend.

I knew a physician who once met a patient with end-stage skin cancer in the emergency department. When it became clear that the patient had no place to go and no one to care for her, the physician, who had once been a nun, brought the patient into her own home, where she, her husband and their two sons cared for the woman around the clock during the last few weeks of her life. When such stories are shared, they can inspire our own resolve to do more to care more for those in need.

The recent outpouring of well wishes for a television game show host – a stranger to most who reached out to him – offers an important insight into what makes families, friendships and communities thrive. Connectedness and its benefits are not something we should take for granted. Whether in the form of a simple text message or greeting card – or better yet, a phone call or a visit – letting someone who is hurting know that we care can make a big difference for all.

A battle royal

Jordan's royal family, which sees its continued stewardship of Al-Aqsa Mosque as the key to its survival, is willing to align itself with almost any faction to ensure that it isn't pushed out by the Saudis.

Two videos the Jordanian royal family posted on its YouTube channel in recent weeks do much to dispel the ambiguity around one of the dramatic sections of US President Donald Trump's "deal of the century." The US is seeking to give Saudi Arabia a major role in the guardianship of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem, namely the Temple Mount.

The current guardians – Jordan and its king, Abdullah II – have more than 100 years of history on the Mount, as well as a long line of agreements and understandings with Israel. They are hurt and disappointed. The king is angry. He is unwilling to step down in favor of the Saudis and their seventh king – Salman Bin Abdel-Aziz al-Saudi – or share the guardianship. Jordan is doing almost anything it can to make that point clear.

On March 20, a week before Abdullah met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other senior Trump advisors in Washington, he met with dignitaries from the Az-Zarqa district, one of the strongholds of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan. Approximately half the residents of Az-Zarqa are Palestinians. Abdullah declared that he would "never" change his stance on Jerusalem, saying, "We have a historic obligation to Jerusalem and its holy sites."

For the first time, the king acknowledged he was under pressure: "That is a red line for me, and I know that the people are by my side … as the Hashemite state, we have an obligation to defend sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity. True, we are being pressured, but in the end, our response will be 'no,'" he said.

A few days later, in a meeting with top Jordanian army officials, the king (now in uniform) repeated: "Jerusalem and the future Palestinian state are a red line for Jordan. I don't know how I can make it any clearer … how can I, as a Hashemite, give up Jerusalem? It's impossible. It's a red line. I say 'no' to any concession on Jerusalem … that is our word, and that is our stance."

Covering debts

The king's words stayed mostly off the media's radar, although he was quoted in the context of Jordan's dispute with Israel over the Gate of Mercy compound, even though that was not what he had been referring to. Thanks to experts from the Middle East Media Research Institute, the statements are now being put in their proper context, and the cat is out of the bag. Months of soft denials from Washington, and silence on from Israel – which is well-versed in the details of the deal – are now over.

For months, the US has been pressuring Jordan to give Saudi Arabia, or at least share with it, the guardianship over the third-holiest site in Islam – Al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to keeping it under Israeli sovereignty. Saudi Arabia is already responsible for the first and second-most holy Islamic sites, the cities of Mecca and Medina. The pressure in question comes in financial form, combined with some juicy economic carrots.

Let's look at the numbers: The Hashemite kingdom's debts current stand at over $40 billion. At a conference of nations that donate to Jordan that was held in London in February, the king managed to raise a $3 billion donation from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, to be paid over a few years. The $350 million that Saudi Arabia transferred to Jordan in May is just a drop in the bucket. Now Saudi Arabia is putting a condition on its continued support: a part in the administration of Al-Haram al-Sharif Al-Aqsa compound.

Jordan is also heavily dependent on the billion and a half dollars of American aid it receives every year. Last year, the Americans spoke with various Arab rulers not only about the option of putting the Saudis in charge of the Temple Mount, but also Jordan would gradually take in and grant citizenship to a million Palestinian refugees. That is only part of the picture the Trump administration is putting together for the issue of Palestinian "refugees," after slashing its contribution to the UNRWA budget.

The US thinks that UNRWA and the U.N. have been helping perpetuate Palestinian refugeedom for years rather than solving it, turning refugee status into something that is handed down through the generations.

In exchange for this package deal, the US is offering Jordan $45 billion to pay back its debts, rehabilitate its economy, and also absorb Palestinians. It's a very tempting offer, and one Jordan might take – its concerns about the Palestinians notwithstanding – if it weren't for the Temple Mount.

The way the Jordanian royal family sees it, there are three solid reasons to reject the American ideas. The first is practical: the Jordanian (and Israeli) security apparatuses think that any change to the king of Jordan's guardianship over the Temple Mount will shake up his rule, and possibly lead to his downfall. The guardianship, which Jordan has held since 1924, is an insurance policy for Jordan. For years, the Jordanian government has rested on the loyalty of the Bedouin and the rest of the tribes to the royal family. But they make up less than half of Jordan's population, while the Palestinian majority and the Muslim Brotherhood are a constant source of concern. For Jordan, maintaining "custody" of Al-Aqsa means the royal family will stay in power.

The second reason is historical: After World War I, the Hashemite dynasty lost its role as guardian of Mecca and Medina to Saudi Arabia. The Hashemites ruled Saudi Arabia until 1924 until they were chased out by the al-Saud dynasty. Hussein bin Ali, who served as the sheriff and emir of Mecca from 1908-1917, was a member of the Hashemite dynasty, whose founders saw themselves as descendants of the Prophet Muhammad. Jordan, which was officially established in 1946, occupied east Jerusalem and the Old City in 1948, and since then has made do with the second-tier guardianship of Al-Aqsa.

The third reason why Jordan is rejecting any American ideas about a change in status at the Temple Mount is familial: Hussein bin Al, who lost Mecca and Medina to the Saudis, was buried on the Temple Mount in 1931. His second son, Abdullah – the first king of the modern state of Jordan – was murdered by a Palestinian assassin at the entrance to Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1951 because of secret peace talks he was holding with Israel. His grandson, Hussein, saw his grandfather's murder, and a year later was made king of Jordan. He ruled for 47 years until he died in 1999.

Looking askance at Turkey

The historic 1994 peace treaty between Israel and Jordan anchored Jordan's role as guardian of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem. Israel honored that status, especially given the two nations' shared security, intelligence, and economic interests. Israel was even persuaded that the special status for Jordan helped the royal family maintain its rule on the other side of the Jordan River. In 2013 Jordan bolstered its status on Al-Aqsa by signing a deal with the Palestinian Authority which determined that Jordan would continue to represent Palestinian interests at Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem until a future peace deal was signed.

All this means that Jordan is truly horrified at the US suggestion – or demand – that it forgo its stewardship of Al-Aqsa or split it with the Saudis. Jordan is underscoring its public refusal by taking a series of diplomatic steps designed to make it clear to both Israel and the US that it has options other than the Jerusalem-Washington axis.

The first step was for the Jordanians to align themselves with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in rejecting Trump's deal. Then, Jordan agreed for the first time to include representatives of the PA in the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, the official Jordanian government body that oversees religious affairs on the Temple Mount. Aside from the PA personnel, Jordan also opened up the waqf to the Fatah movement, Sheikh Ikrama Sabri, the former mufti of Jerusalem who is currently identified with Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as to the outlawed Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement. All these were until very recently competitors to the Jordanian hegemony on the Temple Mount.

The second step entails direct contact between the royal family and Turkey, another serious rival for control of the Temple Mount and for influence in the area surrounding it. Abdullah decided that Turkey was an acceptable partner in his battle against Trump and his plan. Jordan allying itself with players who are dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood organization, which has often posed a threat to the Hashemite dynasty, shows how far it is willing to go to maintain its primacy at Al-Aqsa.

The third step is Abdullah's visit to King Mohammad VI of Morocco, who is also a descendant of the Hashemite dynasty. The Jordanian king received support from his Moroccan counterpart for Hashemite control over Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem. At the end of their meeting, the king of Morocco announced that the Jordanian waqf was the only legal entity allowed to manage, defend, and arrange entry into Al-Aqsa Mosque. In a joint statement, the two kings stressed that Jerusalem and its holy sites must be defended against any attempt to change their historic, legal, or political status.

Abdullah tried to squeeze similar statements from the rulers of Egypt and Iraq at a tripartite summit in Tunisia last March but failed.

Calls for intifada

Abdullah has met thrice with top US officials in the past half year: in November 2018, in January 2019, and in March 2019. The Jordanians were careful to announce nothing at these meetings. They might have wanted to avoid creating the impression at home that they were cooperating with the deal of the century, especially when it came to the Temple Mount.

On the other hand, Jordan seems to have thrown off all restraint when it comes to the king's position on the US deal. Since April, a few articles have been published in the Jordanian press calling for a new intifada in the West Bank as a way of thwarting the deal. Journalist Mohammed Ali Marzouk al-Ziyyad wrote a piece in the Al-Ra'i daily in which he called for unity with Fatah and Hamas and a cessation to Jordanian security coordination with "the occupation."

"A Third Intifada is more important than intra-Palestinian reconciliation and is the best prescription for the 'deal of the century' … it is more important that negotiations or any rhetorical enlistment to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque," al-Ziyyad wrote.

Hussein Al-Rawashdeh also wrote a column in the daily Ad-Dustour that called for a new intifada that would unite the Palestinians and the Arab world.

Bassem Sakjaha wrote about the coming Third Intifada, and Jamal al-Suahim, who has a column in the newsletter of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, also decreed that only an armed intifada could bring down the Trump deal.

So Jordan is repositioning itself in relation to the Muslim Brotherhood, and in recent weeks Abdullah has allowed the organization to arranged demonstrations on the eastern side of the Jordan River in opposition to the deal of the century.

However, we must remember that Abdullah is a pragmatist, and there are signs that he is looking for a compromise that will allow him to appear as if he opposes the Trump plan but actually accept some of its points. By doing so, he hopes to keep his key status among the moderate nations of the Middle East and continue enjoying US economic aid, not to mention maintaining his stewardship of Al-Aqsa.

The second 2019 Knesset election in Israel has given Jordan some room to breathe, since the US administration does not intend to make the main aspects of the deal public before Sept. 17. Still, the US is asking Jordan to decide whether, and at what level, it intends to participate in the Bahrain summit on June 25-26. Jordan has said it will send a delegation to Bahrain, but it is still unknown how high-ranking the representatives will be. Either way, Abdullah expects the US to provide clarification about his continued guardianship of Al-Aqsa. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, and Israel have already RSVP'd to the Bahrain conference. The Palestinians, we know, are boycotting the event, although it is not impossible that some Palestinian business people might take part privately.

Russia, US & Israel hold security talks as Middle East turns into ‘battlefield’ against Iran

Blaming Iran for all the problems of the Middle East is just bad policy, Moscow has said as the national security advisers from Russia, Israel and the US meet in Jerusalem to discuss escalating tensions in the region.

“Just like us, Iran is legitimately present on Syrian territory to help fight terrorists, invited by the legitimate Syrian government,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters in Moscow on Monday, after a meeting with his Egyptian colleague Sameh Shoukry. Much of their press conference was dedicated to another meeting, however, as Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev was in Jerusalem for talks with his Israeli counterpart Meir Ben-Shabbat and US national security advisor John Bolton.

Further meetings between Patrushev, Bolton and Ben-Shabbat are scheduled for Tuesday, and the three are supposed to produce a joint statement.

Bolton was dispatched to Israel while Secretary of State Mike Pompeo flew to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, after US President Donald Trump decided not to launch an attack on Iran last week. Pompeo’s officially published agenda includes discussions of “dangers posed by Iranian destabilizing activity.”

This focus on Iran to the exclusion of everything else was “counterproductive,” Lavrov said. "Israel and the Americans are above all concerned with Iran, not just when it comes to Syria but also this region in general, and maybe even in a much wider geographical area."

"We consider it very, very dangerous how the situation is developing in [the Persian Gulf] as well as in Syria,” the top Russian diplomat added.

There are attempts to turn the territory of Syria into a battlefield between Israel and Iran, between Sunnis and Shia. This is bad and only aggravates the crisis.

He did not name any particular country as the culprit, but the thrust of the remark was perfectly clear. Earlier in the day, Washington announced additional sanctions against Iran, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei personally.

In his talks with Shoukry, Lavrov expressed concern about the rumored US peace plan for the Israeli-Palestinian question, saying that “secretly developed ideas” that reject the two-state solution were a departure from the framework of UN resolutions and other internationally agreed principles.

UN resolutions should also be the basis of resolving the conflict in Syria, Lavrov said, condemning attempts to “encourage separatist tendencies in this or that part of Syria” and interfere with the legitimate government – once again indirectly pointing to the US.

Trump’s refusal to escalate the military confrontation with Tehran – going so far as to question the massive US military presence in the Persian Gulf in a series of tweets on Monday – even as he went along with sanctions and threats, seems to have left Iran hawks such as Bolton and Pompeo painted into a corner.

Netanyahu is in a similar position. He can’t accuse Trump of insufficient support for Israel after such explicit evidence to the contrary as relocating the US embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing the Israeli claim to the occupied Golan Heights. He is also in political limbo at home, after failing to form a coalition government and having to call a new general election for September.

This has reduced the Israeli leader to hosting “a Russian victory lap” in Jerusalem while the “emasculated” Bolton looks on, the liberal daily Haaretz noted on Monday. Describing Russia as the rising power in the Middle East due to Washington’s reluctance to launch wars against Syria and Iran, Haaretz argued that Israel and the US have “little choice but to do business” with Moscow.

Bolton is Trump’s “third national security adviser in two and a half years, and could well be out of a job very soon,” the paper noted.

UN Displays Arch of Palmyra Combining New World Order, Idolatry and Quantum Physics

A recent display in Switzerland brought together elements of a New World Order, Idolatry, and experiments in Quantum physics.

Ten days ago, a 20 foot-tall replica of Roman Victory Arch of Palmyra was unveiled for a 12 day display in Bern, Switzerland commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Swiss Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The date seems random however June 21 is the summer solstice, a major day in the calendar for the form of idolatry which focuses on sun-worship.

Its current location in Bern brings it to within 100 miles of The European Organization for Nuclear Research, known by the acronym CERN, which operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. CERN performs the most cutting edge experiments in quantum physics, some of which are quite controversial. In 2009, Sergio Bertolucci, Director for Research and Scientific Computing at CERN, briefed reporters about some of the possible implications of an experiment labeled AWAKE. He speculated that the experiment could possibly open portals into the “unknown”.

“Out of this door might come something, or we might send something through it,” Bertolucci was quoted as saying.

Other experiments raised concerns that black holes might suddenly appear with unknown consequences.

Despite being an institute dedicated to scientific research, visitors to CERN are greeted at the gate by a large statue of the Indian goddess Shiva. A gift of the Indian government, the statue is described by the institute as a metaphor comparing the cosmic dance of the Nataraj and the modern study of the ‘cosmic dance’ of subatomic particles. The official explanation fails to mention that in the Indian pantheon, Shiva is known as the destroyer.

It should be remembered that Palmyra, the home of the original arch for two millennia, was a major center for idolatry, specifically the worship of Ba’al, also known as Moloch. Mentioned more than 90 times in the Bible, most notably when Elijah defeated the priests of Ba’al in a contest to bring down fire from heaven to burn a sacrifice, Ba’al became the archetypical form of idol worship. Pantheistic, his adherents worshipped Mother Nature while denying the existence of a creator. Followers of Ba’al engaged in bisexual orgies and sacrificed human infants, burning them alive. Anthropologists conjecture that the child sacrifice was to cull the population after the inevitable outcome of wanton sexuality.

Palmyra was dedicated in 32 CE to the worship of Bel. Lower levels of the ground underneath the Temple of Palmyra indicate human occupation that goes back to the third millennium BCE. Converted into a Christian church during the Byzantine Era, parts of the structure were modified into a mosque by Muslims in 1132. It remained in use as a mosque until the 1920s.

In addition to being rooted in idolatry, the recreated arch is emerging as a symbol for world government, reappearing in several venues hosting world government summits. It was erected to inaugurate the World Government Summit in Dubai in February 2017, an event that brings together leaders in business, technology, and politics from around the world. The arch was then erected in Italy in May 2017 for the G7 Summit, a meeting of the leaders of the seven largest economies in the world representing more than 64 percent of the net global wealth.

Rejecting idolatry should be a universal concern. Judaism does not desire for non-Jews to convert to Judaism but the third Noahide law is a prohibition against idolatry.

The first modern reappearance of the Arch of Palmyra was in London’s Trafalgar Square in 2016, when it was erected for UNESCO World Heritage Week. The unveiling coincided with the beginning of a 13-day period known in the occult as “the Blood Sacrifice to the Beast,” the most important holiday for those who worship the god Ba’al, celebrated with child sacrifice and bisexual orgies. The arch was unveiled on April 19th, the holiday of Beltane, the culmination of the 13-day period.

Also known as May Day, Beltane is an Anglicized reference to the god “Ba’al.” An annual Beltane Fire Festival is held in Edinburgh and in other parts around the globe as part of ancient Gaelic culture. In an unfortunate misunderstanding of the festival’s roots, they are frequently billed as family events, with children being given special discounts.

The IDA and UNESCO have paired up in other projects presenting symbols of idolatry. In November 2017, a statue of the pagan goddess Athena was reconstructed by the IDA and presented at an exhibit “The Spirit in the Stone,” at the United Nations’ headquarters in New York City. The exhibit described Athena as “synonymous with reason, refuge and the rule of law, all of the same values on which that historic institution was built,” but the spear lying at the statue’s feet belied her more common association as the goddess of war. Some scholars believe the Greek goddess was based on the Mesopotamian goddess al-Lat.

Sanhedrin Mints King David Coin to Usher in Davidic Dynasty

As the next stage in the Messianic process, the Sanhedrin of Israel released a new coin honoring King David in preparation for re-establishing the Davidic Dynasty.

Mordechai Persoff who established the Mikdash Educational Center and is marketing the coin initiative explained the significance of the new project.

“Throughout history, governments issued coins to establish their sovereignty and to mark the passage of an era,” Persoff told Breaking Israel News. “We initially issued a coin honoring President Trump and his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s eternal capital. That was undoubtedly a major step in the geula (redemption) process so we issued a Trump-Cyrus coin to mark the entrance of the new era. But that was just a preparation for the Temple, the Davidic Dynasty, and the Messiah. We are symbolizing that upcoming era by minting this coin.”

The coin, bearing superimposed images of the U.S. President and the Persian King Cyrus who ended the Babylonian exile and aided in the building of the Second Temple in Jerusalem, was a massive success and thousands of the coins were sold around the world.

“Trump’s actions will be meaningless unless the lead to the ultimate goal of the Third Temple and the re-establishment of the Davidic dynasty,” Persoff warned. “It is for this reason that we issued the King David coin: as a physical reminder of what our era must accomplish.”

To emphasize this point, the coin was issued on the seventh day of the month of Sivan, the day after the holiday of Shavuot. According to Jewish tradition, King David was born and also died on the holiday of Shavuot. On Shavuot, Jews read the Book of Ruth which describes her union with Boaz, the grandparents of King David.

“Ruth was the first from among the nations who recognized that God is the king,” Persoff explained. “That is why she merited to be the grandmother of David and the matriarch of Messiah.”

The coin bears the name of David and the image of a crown. King David originally purchased from the Araunah the Jebusite the site of the altar and courtyards of the Temple, including the place of the Holy of Holies, on Mount Moriah, known as Zion after the fortress that King David had conquered.The verse describing David’s purchase of the land for the Temple from Araunah the Jebusiteis inscribed on the face of the coin in English, Hebrew, and Arabic.

According to the version of the book of Divrei Ha-yamim (Chronicles) in the amount of 600 Shekalim, which each tribe contributed fifty shekels, and therefore all the people of Israel were partners in purchasing the hallowed ground of the Temple and Jerusalem, which is referred to as a temple, and was never divided among the tribes.

According to Midrash (homiletic teachings), there are three places in Israel that the nations cannot say Israel stole because the Bible explicitly states the full price was paid by Abraham, Jacob, and David: Hebron, Shechem (Nablus), and the Temple Mount.

“This coin symbolizes that purchase,” Persoff said. “And what you bought for full price, you cannot divide.”

Rabbi Hillel Weiss, the spokesman for the Sanhedrin, emphasized that the project is a powerful symbol of the Messianic process.

“The coin foreshadows the yearning for the return of the kingdom to Israel through the dynasty of the House of David, the Messiah of Israel, the judge of the world and who brings wisdom to it. We wait, the people of Israel for the redeemer, in flesh and blood, and even though he may tarry we continue to wait for him, every day,” he wrote. “We commemorate US President Donald Trump in connection with his Messianic activities. Donald Trump is the numerical value of the Messiah, the Son of David, who comes from Edom. Which until now has taken great steps in the rebirth of Israel and the dignity of Jerusalem like a biblical figure which we mentioned first in the world by minting Trump coins.”

“We pray that God, God of Israel, Creator of the world, will guide him and will guide him in his plan, which will be unveiled in favor of the people of Israel and the return to Zion. Will ask the Jews of the world to return to their home land. And his leadership will guarantee peace and love throughout all the nations, and let their hearts go in the ways of the Creator in peace and love.”

Persoff explained that there is a dispute as to whether the Temple will be built before the Messiah or will be built at the same time.

“In either case, we need to be prepared to build the Temple at the earliest possible moment, either before or concurrent with the Messiah,” Persoff said. “We cannot wait until the Moshiach (Messiah) is already here to prepare the Temple. By then, it will be too late.”

The coin is beautifully gold-plated since the name ‘David’ in gematria (Hebrew numerology) equals 14, equivalent to the word ‘zahav’ (gold). As such, the coin contains 14 grams of 14 karat gold.

Is Bitcoin Demonic?

As modern man continues to wantonly deviate, flaunt, and reject the natural law and the Divinely-created order from which it derives, it is not surprising that illusions like Bitcoin and other crypto currencies have captured the imagination of many and have provided a vehicle for scammers to rip off their fellow man.

Crypto currencies are a more complex, yet still devious derivative of the immoral, economic destructive, and social debilitating system of central banking. In response, Bitcoin pumpers have craftily tried to portray digital currencies as a “decentralized” alternative to the present fiat, paper-money standard.

While this has attracted many libertines and “fast buck” speculators, Bitcoin is more similar to the present fractional-reserve monetary order than a real honest-to-goodness money and banking system based on 100% redeemable currency. Moreover, crypto currencies’ initial allure was that they could be used as a general medium of exchange, but as time has gone on, their sycophants have had to concede that none of these Ponzi schemes can act as money.

Unlike a metallic monetary order where gold and silver have to be mined and brought into use through land, labor and capital, Bitcoin, like paper money, is created out of thin air. In this sense, however, paper money is superior to Bitcoin because it can be used for other purposes albeit severely limited – wall paper. Bitcoin, instead, has NO intrinsic, or “use” value, as precious metals did prior to their use as general medium of exchanges.

Crypto currencies also fit nicely in the on-going efforts by the Establishment and monetary authorities to eliminate cash in transactions. Despite the talk of “decentralization” and privacy that crypto currencies’ supposedly provide, all transactions on the computer and across the Internet can be recorded and traced which governments will use to spy on their tax slaves. In direct contrast, gold and silver carried on one’s person or stored for safe keeping is the most private and secure means of wealth preservation ever known.

The banksters have been pushing a cashless world to reduce their operating costs as Bank of America’s CEO Brian Moynihan recently called for:

“We want a cashless society. We have more to gain than anybody from a pure operating cost (perspective).”

If anyone believes that the only reason banksters like Moynihan want a cashless society is to reduce costs, they are incredibly näive. Banks and other credit institutions have, from orders of the surveillance arms of the national security states across the globe, de-platformed and tried to silence all sorts of alternative and politically incorrect websites and groups by shutting down their bank and credit card accounts. If cash is outlawed, it will have a devastating effect on dissonant outlets and true free speech in general.

The efforts to get rid of cash has been a long held goal by the ruling class that began with the introduction of paper notes which were granted legal tender status. Irredeemable notes for specie followed and outright confiscation and prohibition of gold ownership took place in America and other jurisdictions in the 20^th century. Internationally, gold was finally severed from monetary use with President Nixon’s insane decision to no longer redeem US dollars for gold in 1971.

More importantly, and what infuriates Left-Libertarians of the crypto movement is that the precious metals were created by Divine Providence to be used by His creatures to augment their lives and eventually create sophisticated societies. The qualities and quantity of gold and silver were designed in their optimal amounts to serve as a medium of exchange. There are ample historical episodes of the social and economic disasters which have occurred when “natural money” was replaced by a man-made substitute. The powers-that-be are certainly aware of this historical “law” and have long understood that to maintain their hegemony gold and silver must not be a part of a monetary order.

The contemporary world is in a state of perpetual crisis because it has persistently violated the natural law. The creation of more illusions such as Bitcoin and other crypto currencies is not a solution, but are diversions which prevent mankind from returning to a natural monetary order.

Joel Osteen Attends Lady Gaga LGBT Pride Event

Gaga began by asking the crowd, “Are you ready to f____ing party tonight?” In the crowd were Joel and Victoria Osteen, who were indeed ready to party. The event was hosted to celebrate gay pride at the Apollo theater and the pastor of the nation’s largest ‘church’ was in attendance.

Gaga calls her fans “little monsters” and they were in full excitement as it was the performer’s first appearance at the famous Harlem theater. The entire event was oriented around gay pride.

Also with Joel and Victoria Osteen were celebrities Amy Pohler, the Season 2 winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, a cross-dresser named “ThunderFu_k,” Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, and gay actor, Neil Patrick Harris.

The event was basically a theatrically performed representation of the Biblical city of Sodom, and the crowd couldn’t be gayer to be there.

Of the event, the Daily News wrote, “The clearly LGBTQ-leaning-and-loving crowd went crazy after one of their most extravagant took time to acknowledge the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.”

Songs were interspersed with tributes to various homosexual leaders in the gay rights movement. Gaga also lectured the crowd that throughout the evening they would need to pay close attention to using the right gender pronouns, an overture to the “trans community,” because “we are all in this together.”

Reports say that “Gaga performed a selection of her most beloved hits dancing around, in a most homoerotic latex fantasy, dropping F-bombs…”

Again, in attendance were Joel and Victoria Osteen.

He’s the firstborn son of Britain’s beloved Princess Diana and second in line to the nation’s royal throne after his father, Prince Charles.

And now at age 37, Prince William says it would be “absolutely fine by me” if his children turned out to be homosexual.

The Duke of Cambridge made his comments Wednesday while stopping by the Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity that helps young people who were made homeless due to their sexual orientation.

“You really don’t start thinking about that until you are a parent, and I think – obviously absolutely fine by me,” William said, according to Agence France-Presse.

“The one thing I’d be worried about is how they, particularly the roles my children fill, is how that is going to be interpreted and seen.”

Prince William and his wife Kate, have three children: 5-year-old Prince George, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, who turned 1 in April. Regarding the possibility one of his children might be homosexual, William said:

“It is something I’m nervous about, not because I’m worried about them being gay or anything – it’s more about the fact that I’m worried about the pressures … that they’re going to face and how much harder their life could be.”

“I wish we lived in a world that it was … really normal and cool, but particularly for my family, and the position that we are in, that’s the bit I am nervous about.

“I fully support whatever decision they make, but it does worry me from a parent point of view, how many barriers, hateful words, persecution, all that, and discrimination that might come.

“That’s the bit that really troubles me.

“But that’s for all of us to try and help correct and make sure that we can put that to the past.”

US college suggests ‘God is queer,’ heaven forbid you challenge it!

Another liberal institution is challenging an age-old dogma – this time on hallowed religious ground – with radical new ideas. This would not be worrisome if dissenting voices were invited, but that is not the case.

Hell hath no fury than a liberal scorned, and if Swarthmore College, situated on a lush, tree-lined campus in the state of Pennsylvania, teaches that God might be experiencing some doubt over his (her?) sexual identity then who are we mere mortals to doubt it? Perhaps the liberal college might even consider extending an invitation to God the Almighty, who micromanaged the Creation in just seven days, to enroll in this course, which promises to “stretch the limits of gendering, and sexing, the divine.”

Yes, sexing the divine. Questioning whether God might be male or female, however, is not a very radical concept. It is a harmless game of intellectual pursuit, a bit like pondering the existence of angels or whether that eternal hot spot for sinners known by the Italians as ‘Inferno’ is real. Then, along came Pope John Paul II with his 1992 hit release ‘Catechism of the Catholic Church,’ which had the last word on the debate by stating unequivocally that “God is neither man nor woman: he is God.” That blast of papal certitude worked to placate everyone, at least for a while anyways.

Today, with ultra-liberal classes like the one being offered by Professor Gwynn Kessler, entitled ‘Queering God: Feminist and Queer Theology,’ religious doctrine threatens to be turned on its head to such a degree that what is left bears no resemblance to Christian teachings. That could eventually have long-term consequences for society at large, which has depended on religious teaching as a moral anchor in various ways, including in the rite of marriage, raising children and even punishing criminals, for example.

Without delving into specific Biblical passages, it goes without saying that introducing “feminist, queer and transgender”interpretations of God and the Holy Book is guaranteed, at the very least, to spark some heated controversy. And that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. After all, robust debate between dueling parties has been part of the Western world’s experiment with democracy since its inception, and is even enshrined in the First Amendment.

If a controversial idea is presented by some authority figure – in this case, a Swarthmore college professor – then people have the right to offer opposing viewpoints. There is a remedial purpose for this function. If bad ideas are permitted to take root, a bit like an invasive weed, they could literally breed to such an extent that they destroy society from lack of ‘sunlight’ or opposing ideas.

It needs to be emphasized that the course being offered at Swarthmore is not an isolated case. Last year, for example, Pomona College in California hosted a course entitled ‘Queering Childhood,’ which examined “the figure of the child and how this figuration is used… to justify continued cultural investment in reproductive heteronormativity and productive able bodiedness.”

Try wrapping your brain around that idea. Or better yet, try to criticize the college for entertaining such an idea in the first place. Regardless of one’s opinion on the matter, it is only natural to expect that a large number of people will find it controversial and objectionable. And there are many other equally provocative ideas – from teaching elementary school students about transgender lifestyles, to allowing biological males who ‘identify’ as females to compete in women’s sports – which demand careful consideration.

But here is where the relationship with free speech in the United States is getting very complicated. While the so-called progressives enjoy the freedom to challenge every traditional aspect of society and culture, the same freedoms are being denied to those people – mostly conservatives – who are skeptical of their latest pet projects. The fact that this censorship is happening on university campuses, the very birthplace of intellectual discovery, is beyond comprehension. Yet, many students seem oddly oblivious to the problem.

For example, Campus Reform, the publication that reported on Swarthmore’s ‘Queering God’ course, quoted a student who said her college embraces “normalized progressivism, unfazed by even the most controversial topics.” Well isn’t that awesome? Swarthmore College, like many other high-security fortresses of ‘free’ thinking, are totally “unfazed” by the most radical new concepts. However, the remark failed to include a much-needed caveat. The student failed to mention that many institutions of ‘higher learning’ – or ‘hire learning,’ as a wit once called it – are not so accommodating when it comes to tolerating the ideas of those whom they disagree with. In fact, they can get downright testy.

In 2017, for example, UC Berkeley erupted in violent protests ahead of a planned talk by right-wing commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, who has spoken out in the past against feminism and the transgender movement. The protests caused $100,000 worth of damage to the campus.

Today, the typical (il)liberal university, instead of serving as an open, tolerant and receptive setting for healthy and diverse opinion, resembles instead a Trojan horse that is loaded up with controversial ideas – up to and including the ‘queering’ of God and the Bible – and delivered under the cover of darkness into society before any serious debate is allowed. In many cases, these academic courses serve a political agenda, as the Democrats overwhelmingly embrace these liberal experiments, even encode them into law.

In 2016, for example, Barack Obama passed his fiercely controversial ‘transgender bathroom’ law, that allowed biological males who ‘identify’ as females to use the women’s toilet and changing-room facilities. That’s not, of course, how education was designed to work. In fact, the situation has gotten so out of control that Donald Trump signed an executive order this year that cuts funding to any publicly funded university that is “hostile to free speech.” But like a game of tennis, the legislation is guaranteed to swing left once the Democrats are back in the White House.

Although it may seem natural for liberals to challenge tradition, not least of all religious teachings, there could come a point when the modifications are so great that the original product is no longer recognizable. That’s when society could experience a crash of Babel-esque proportions, which might have been avoided had the proper amount of public debate been allowed.

The Western university must once again throw open its windows to the light and allow a diversity of opinion and debate. Nothing less than democracy is at stake.

Is this bill biggest assault on religious freedom?

In the latest and most egregious example of attempted government overreach, California legislators have proposed a bill that would dictate what pastors preach from the pulpit. Specifically, “Assembly Concurrent Resolution 99 calls on ‘counselors, pastors, religious workers, educators’ and institutions with ‘great moral influence’ to stop perpetuating the idea that something is wrong with LGBT identities or sexual behavior. ACR 99 also condemns attempts to change unwanted same-sex attraction or gender confusion as ‘unethical,’ ‘harmful,’ and leading to high rates of suicide.”

Put another way, these legislators are telling pastors and spiritual leaders to throw out the Bible, disregard the Lord’s will, ignore the testimony of thousands of ex-gays and conform to extreme political correctness – or else.

This is one of the most frontal attacks on our religious freedoms in memory (or perhaps in our nation’s history). And it confirms what I have said for the last 15 years: Those who came out of the closet want to put us in the closet. This is nothing less than that ancient spirit of Jezebel trying to silence God’s messengers through fear and intimidation.

There is one way to respond to such spiritual and legal attacks: First, stand up against the bill in order to expose its bias and bigotry; and second, if the bill should actually pass (which might be a long shot even in California), defy it.

In the year A.D. 123, the Roman government launched a severe crackdown against the Jews, culminating in 134, when all Jewish practices were forbidden, including circumcision, Torah study and Sabbath observance. How did the rabbis respond?

One of the noted leaders, Rabbi Hananiah ben Teradyon conducted public Torah classes, paying for it with his life.

But this was no emotional, spur of the moment decision. There was a rationale behind his actions, traceable back to Rabbi Akiva, the greatest rabbinic sage of that day (but not a believer in Jesus), also martyred for his allegiance to Torah.

The Talmud relates: “Once the wicked Roman government issued a decree forbidding the Jews to study and practice the Torah. Pappus ben Judah came by and, upon finding Rabbi Akiva publicly holding sessions in which he occupied himself with Torah, Pappus asked him: Akiva, are you not afraid of the government?

“Rabbi Akiva replied: You, Pappus, who are said to be wise, are in fact a fool. I can explain what I am doing by means of a parable: A fox was walking on a river bank and, seeing fishes hastening here and there, asked them, ‘From whom are you fleeing?’ They replied, ‘From the nets and traps set for us by men.’ So the fox said to them, ‘How would you like to come up on dry land, so that you and I may live together the way my ancestors lived with yours?’ They replied, ‘You – the one they call the cleverest of animals – are in fact a fool. If we are fearful in the place where we can stay alive, how much more fearful should we be in a place where we are sure to die!’

“So it is with us. If we are fearful when we sit and study Torah, of which it is written, ‘For that is thy life and the length of thy days’ (Deuteronomy 30:20), how much more fearful ought we to be should we cease the study of words of Torah!” (b. Berakhot 61b)

The same principle applies to spiritual leaders today, all the more in light of Messiah’s death on the cross and resurrection. We do what is right regardless of cost and consequence. We honor the Lord and love our neighbor by speaking the truth, however unpopular it may be. The more the world seeks to muzzle us, the more loudly and clearly we speak out.

Should we avoid demonizing those in the LGBT community? Absolutely.

Should we be careful to separate issues from people? Certainly. (In other words, we make a distinction between an aggressive agenda and a hurting individual.)

Should we proclaim God’s love through the cross for every human being? Without a doubt.

But we must not refrain from declaring what God’s Word plainly says: Homosexual practice is contrary to His will, and He does not bless or recognize same-sex “marriages.” And when it comes to transgender identities, biology is not bigotry, and the best solution for people struggling with gender confusion is to help them find wholeness from the inside out.

Should this draconian bill actually become law, the strategy is simple: The Sunday after the bill is passed, every true pastor in California should preach a love-drenched message on what the Bible says about LGBT people and issues.

Better still, how about every pastor doing it this Sunday. Why wait?

“According to one of the party’s plans, at a certain point all religious people should agree to the fact that the Dutch law is above their own religious beliefs,” Hemminga said.
“For me, as a Christian, that’s not an option. I’m not suddenly going to support gay marriage or abortion, because it’s the law.”Erik van Goor, a Catholic convert, publicist, and blogger is an early member of Forum for Democracy, who has hopes that the party will be able to shake up the current political system.“When I understood that a political party was in the making, I was very enthusiastic about it. I don’t know what the future holds for the party, but I do think the current system needs a breakthrough. Geert Wilders hasn’t been able to do that, but I hope Forum for Democracy will,” he said.

We have never seen global weather patterns go as crazy as they have so far in 2019. Record high temperatures are being shattered all over the planet, but meanwhile some parts of the U.S. were just buried by massive amounts of snow. The sixth largest city in India is literally running out of water due to extremely dry conditions, but in middle America it just won’t stop raining. In fact, the Midwest is getting hammered by more severe storms as I write this article. Meanwhile, Australia is being forced to import enormous amounts of wheat due to the extraordinary drought that nation is currently experiencing. Everywhere you look around the globe we see bizarre weather extremes. Worldwide weather patterns are shifting dramatically, and many believe that what we have witnessed so far is just the beginning.

Do you have an explanation for what is going on? Because the truth is that most of the experts don’t.

Just look at what is happening in Colorado. Some parts of the state got up to 20 inches of snow on Saturday, and as a result Colorado’s snowpack is currently more than 4,000 percent above normal…

Due to the new snow Friday into the weekend, the Natural Resources Conservation Service reported that the state’s snowpack ballooned to 4,121 percent above normal as of Monday. This number is so high because ordinarily very little snow is left by late June, and cold temperatures late into the spring helped preserve what fell earlier.

After the weekend blanket of white, the scenes in the high country west of Denver resembled midwinter. Enough snow fell to close roads, while many ski areas reported accumulation, including Breckenridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, Arapahoe Basin and Steamboat Springs.

On the other side of the world, the problem is that there isn’t any meaningful precipitation at all.

More than 4.6 million people live in the city of Chennai, India. Thanks to a drought that never seems to end, the main reservoirs that normally supply that city with water are rapidly going dry…

The floor of the Chembarambakkam reservoir is cracked open, dry and sun-baked. About 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) away, in Chennai, India’s sixth largest city, millions of people are running out of water.

Chembarambakkam and the three other reservoirs that have traditionally supplied Chennai are nearly all dry, leaving the city suffering from an acute water shortage, said Jayaram Venkatesan, an activist in the city.

So what do you do when you have millions of people that need water but you don’t have any to give them?

Well, the temporary solution that has been implemented for now is to truck water in. That means that “hundreds of thousands of residents” are forced to stand in line for hours in the hot sun as they wait for the water trucks to arrive. The following comes from CNN…

With the reservoirs dry, water is being brought directly into Chennai neighborhoods in trucks. Every day, hundreds of thousands of residents have no choice but to stand in line for hours in soaring summer temperatures, filling dozens of cans and plastic containers.

Over in Europe, it looks like this could be the hottest week ever for the month of June.

In the next few days, high temperatures are expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) in Spain, and that prompted one meteorologist to warn that “hell is coming”…

Meteorologists said temperatures would reach or even exceed 40C from Spain to Switzerland as hot air was sucked up from the Sahara by the combination of a storm stalling over the Atlantic and high pressure over central Europe.

High humidity meant it would feel like 47C, experts warned. “El infierno [hell] is coming,” tweeted the TV meteorologist Silvia Laplana in Spain, where the AEMET weather service forecast temperatures of 42C by Thursday in the Ebro, Tagus, Guadiana and Guadalquivir valleys and warned of an “extreme risk” of forest fires.

In 2003, a terrible heatwave killed tens of thousands of people all across Europe, and many expect this heatwave to be even worse.

And things will be extraordinarily hot in France as well. In fact, some parts of France are expected to hit 109 degress Fahrenheit by the end of this week…

High temperatures are expected to skyrocket above above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) on Wednesday for a huge portion of France, including Paris. The forecast for Carpentras, a town of 28,000 about 50 miles north of Marseilles, is even worse. There, temperatures are expected to reach 43 degrees Celsius (109 degrees Fahrenheit) on Friday and Saturday. That would easily cap the monthly high temperature record for France of 41.5 degrees Celsius (107 degrees Fahrenheit) set in June 2003, according to Reuters.

Temperatures are likely to climb above 40 degrees Fahrenheit in parts of Spain and approach that in Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium. Overnight temperatures will stay balmy, which poses particularly acute health risks to children and the elderly.

Needless to say, none of this is normal.

Here in the United States, we have been witnessing month after month of extremely unusual weather in the middle of the country. The rain has been endless and the flooding has been unprecedented, and those living in the heartland keep thinking that all of this weird weather has got to end eventually at some point.

But it hasn’t.

In fact, more severe weather is rolling through middle America as I write this article…

More than 50 million people are bracing for severe weather from the Plains to the Southeast as scattered thunderstorms prompt flash flood alerts, possible tornadoes and hail.

A large weather system is expected to bring damaging wind gusts and large hail for parts of the South and into the Appalachians, Ohio Valley and Great Lakes.

Heavy rain and flash flooding inundated parts of southwest Missouri during the weekend, prompting water rescues and evacuations.

Erdogan's ruling party loses Istanbul election in major blow to Turkish president

The winner of the re-rerun of Istanbul's mayoral elections declared a "new beginning for Turkey" on Sunday after the ruling party's candidate lost the city for the first time in 25 years, in a major blow to president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"It was not a single group or party, but the whole of Istanbul and Turkey that won this election," said Ekrem Imamoglu, the candidate of the secularist Republican People's Party (CHP), who received 54 per cent of the vote.

President Erdogan had claimed that "whoever wins Istanbul wins Turkey" - and had taken a gamble by forcing a re-run that backfired after Mr Imamoglu not only won but increased his share of the vote by six per cent.

Binali Yildirim, the Erdogan loyalist standing for the ruling AKP gave a de facto concession speech shortly after the first results were announced.

"I congratulate him and wish him all the luck. My wish is for Imamoglu to serve Istanbul well," he said.

Mr Imamoglu had won the original mayoral election on March 31 by a narrow margin that prompted the AKP to demand a re-run, citing alleged voting irregularities.

The High Election Board's decision to grant that request drew criticism from Turkey's Western allies and from Mr Erdogan's opponents at home, stirring concerns about the rule of law and raising the stakes in a re-run that many Turks saw as a test of their country's democracy.

Mr Erdogan was Istanbul's mayor in the 1990s before he embarked on a national political career, dominating Turkish politics first as prime minister, then as president.

He presided over years of strong economic growth but critics say he has become increasingly authoritarian and intolerant of dissent. If confirmed, this second defeat in Istanbul, Turkey's biggest city and commercial hub, will be a major embarrassment for the president and could also weaken what until recently seemed to be his iron grip on power.

Analysts say the loss could set off a cabinet reshuffle in Ankara and adjustments to foreign policy. Turkey is balancing diplomatic relations with Russia and the United States, which has threatened sanctions against its NATO ally over its purchase of Russian missile defences.

The setback for Erdogan, who campaigned hard in Istanbul, could also trigger a national election earlier than 2023 as scheduled. Turkey's economy is now in recession and the United States, its Nato ally, has threatened sanctions if Mr Erdogan goes ahead with plans to install Russian missile defences.

The uncertainty over the fate of Istanbul, Turkey's business hub, and potential delays in broader economic reforms, have kept financial markets on edge. Turkey's lira currency tumbled after the decision to annul the March vote and is down nearly 10 per cent this year in part on election jitters.

Polling stations across Istanbul opened at 8am, with 10.56 million people registered to vote in a city which makes up nearly a fifth of Turkey's 82 million population. One voter, Estate agent Bayram, 60, said he voted for Mr Yildirim, as he believed foreign powers the United States, Europe and Israel supported the opposition. "All of these will want a piece from Istanbul and then there will be chaos.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. All these foreign powers don't like Erdogan, so he is my friend," he said after voting in Kagithane district, an AKP stronghold.

ECB To Italian Government: Your Gold Is Ours

As the squabbling over Italy's populist government's plans to blow out its budget deficit to finance an agenda of tax cuts and social spending (including a 'citizen's income' that's essentially UBI-lite) crowded the headlines, the issue of who owns the 2,451 metric tons of gold reserves held by the Bank of Italy has been quietly ignored - at least, outside of Italy.

But that might be about to change.

On Tuesday, the ECB asked the League, the dominant party in Italy's ruling coalition, to remove a reference to the Bank of Italy holding gold as an "exclusive title of deposit" according to Bloomberg.

Translation? If Italy is not allowed to have title to Italian gold, then Italy's gold now belongs to the ECB.

Today's escalation over Italy's gold "title" comes two months after the WSJ reported that Italy’s ruling populists pushed ahead with efforts to seize control of the central bank and its gold reserves. Complaining that hundreds of thousands of small individual investors lost billions of dollars after several Italian banks failed in recent years, the current Italian government depicted the central bank as a symbol of a technocratic elite aloof from the needs of ordinary Italians.

“We need a change of course at the Bank of Italy if we think about what happened in the last years,” said Deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio, leader of the 5 Star Movement.

Shortly thereafter, 5 Star lawmakers asked parliament to pass two draft laws.

One law would instruct the central bank’s owners, most of them private banks , to sell their shares to the Italian Treasury at prices from the 1930s.The other law would declare the Italian people to be the owners of the Bank of Italy’s reserve of 2451.8 metric tons of gold, worth around $102 billion at current prices.

"The gold belongs to the Italians, not to the bankers,” said Giorgia Meloni, leader of the Brothers of Italy, a far-right opposition party that supports both bills. “We are ready to battle everywhere in Italy and to bring Italians to the streets if necessary."

So far there has been no fighting but if indeed Draghi just told Italy that its gold now belongs to the Frankfurt-based central bank we expect that to change

Meanwhile, yesterday Italian BTP yields tumbled to their lowest level in a year as investors breathed a sigh of relief following reports that the European Commission would hold off on kick-starting an "excessive debt proceeding" - a process that would likely result in Italy becoming the first eurozone constituent to face a fine (potentially extending into the billions of euros) for violating the bloc's stringent fiscal rules.

According to reports, the EU was holding off to give the Italian government more time to try and come up with a compromise. Meanwhile, both the League and the Five Star Movement have trudged ahead with a plan to have the Italian Treasury and Bank of Italy issue mini-BOTs - bonds that ostensibly would help the Italian government settle overdue payments, but which critics have denounced as a parallel currency. ECB President Mario Draghi denounced the plan as a step toward launching a parallel currency.

Now, just as gold prices are climbing to their highest levels in six years, the ECB is letting the Italian government know that it won't sit by and allow the Bank of Italy to sell off its gold reserves to help right the country's troubled finances.

Its just another example of the ECB ratcheting up the financial pressure on the Italian government, while asserting its control over the European Banking System. Late last year as the budget battle between Rome and Brussels flared, the ECB subtly threatened to sit back and watch the Italian financial system implode if Italian bond yields skyrocket.

Coming after the Italians gold reserves is yet another tactic by the ECB to bring the Italian populists to heel.

I was the beneficiary of having two amazing parents whose diverse experiences provided me with a very unique world view. The lessons I learned as a child and young adult have helped prepare me for what is unfolding in America.

My dad's family were immigrants. They escaped the early days of the growing conflict between the Nazis and the communists. I learned a lot about how tyranny, the police state and genocide unfolds from my grandmother, great-grandmother and great aunt. But that is not what this article is about. It is about my mom's side of the family and what they went through that has applicability to today's America. That side of my family has lineage that we can trace to 1745. Our earliest relative, John Cusey, fought with George Washington in the Revolution. The family was very successful in business, banking, real estate and politics. We are related to the Ford (car) family. However, everything changed in 1929 when the Stock Market crashed. The family did NOT properly heed the warning signs of what was coming. In the following days, my matriarchal millionaire family's wealth was wiped out. Stocks and real estate crashed, along and the banks failed.

My mother, a very young child in 1929 and she should have been raised in a life of luxury. However, she was raised in near-poverty. Her conservative values, emphasis on being debt free and NEVER, NEVER trusting the banks or the government became a hallmark of the lessons that she would impart upon my sister and myself. I can remember being in middle school and hearing my teachers teacher tell the students the Depression was a terrible accident. An accident my rear end. It was planned by the elite to seize control of the economy, remove America from the gold standard and they did it to wipe out much of the economic competition. I knew very early on in my life that the Depression was planned and my teachers thought I was crazy when I would disagree with them with regard to their "accidental, non-conspiratorial view of economic history.

In short, my family was targeted for economic destruction, among many others for economic obliteration and it worked. And this is where my family history has applicability to you and your family. You, as an American (who actually works) is being targeted by the same scumbag type of bankers for economic obliteration, again. However, this time, the economic train wreck that is coming has the goal of destabilizing the entire country. Why? The goal of the satanist bankers is the unholy consolidation of political power and money on this planet. In order to accomplish this goal, America must be destroyed politically, economically, culturally, politically and spiritually. This article is about motivating you to prepare for an economic crash in which the people will receive no political support from a totally compromised government is a requirement. Remember, governments do not serve the people, ever! Politicians serve the people that get them elected and keep them in power. Politicians only pay you lip service so they can trick you into voting for them in the next election. In short, you do not matter, only your material possessions matter to these people and in today's world, what you own, has been targeted for confiscation. The sooner you realize that we are repeating history, the sooner you can prepare and preserve what little you can of what you have earned in life. Remember, the one thing that is more important than the money you make, is the money you keep and separation of you from your money is already underway.

News Flash: The Government and the Banks Are Not Your Friends

Did you know that since 2012, that when you deposit your money in the bank, the bank owns your money and technically does not have to give it back. Of course, this is not going to be announced standard operating procedure or nobody would deposit their money in the bank. The truth of the matter is that, upon the crash of the economy, the banks will one day legally confiscate your funds because in reality, what is supposed to be "yours" is actually "theirs").

There are some economic realities that you must come to grips with in 2019.

1. The governments in the US collect about $3.9 trillion in a year income and payroll taxes. Income tax is where governments collect the most tax: In federal, state, and local income tax they will collect about $2.4 trillion in 2019.

2. The national debt is $22 trillion.

3. We have $21 trillion that is missing and it likely went to black projects (eg Pentagon, CIA secret space program, etc.).

4. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are unfunded liabilities Medicare and Social Security, alone, face about $50 trillion in long-term unfunded obligations, adding steadily to the public debt as Congress borrows growing sums each year to pay promised benefits.

5. The 800 pound gorilla in the room are the credit swap derivatives. They total an estimated $1.5 quadrillion in debt. It is an interesting debt since there is only an estimated $70 trillion in actual asset value on the planet. What are credit swap derivatives? The answer is a different discussion for a different time. For now, think Glass-Steagall and bailouts courtesy of the bankers. This debt is an example of the omnipresent enslavement of a people because this debt can never be paid. The government could impose a 100% tax on income and still not come close to paying off this debt. And people wonder why during the 2008 crash, I said "Let Wall Street burn!" It would have proven to be a lot better for our people.

In short you are a slave to the bankers. The crash is coming, and it is time that you prepare for the fact that it could happen tomorrow. When people realize this fact they will one day panic and attempt to take out all their money at once. That is a very bad idea, because you could go to jail.

Don't Do This

In fact, FEMA and DHS actually practiced for this event on October 23rd and 24th of 2013.The Federal Reserve, the FDIC and the Bank of London practiced for widespread banking failure on November 10, 2014. On November 16, 2014, the G20 nations declared your bank deposits to not be money and they can take it whenever they want. On August 8, 2012, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the banks own your money when you deposit your paycheck into the bank. The criminal banksters have had years to prepare for stealing your assets. What have you done to prepare?

What should every American know prior to attempting to liberate the fruits of their own labor from the bankster controlled central bank?

The Three Laws You Must Know Before Taking Your Money Out of the Bank

Taking what was your money out of the bank is no longer a matter of walking up to your friendly teller with a withdrawal slip and the teller cheerfully honors your request and you calmly exit the bank with your money in tow. In fact, your teller is trained to look for certain indicators in any cash withdrawal of any significance. As you move to withdraw the bulk of your money, there are three federal banking laws that you should be cognizant of, namely, A Cash Transaction Report (CTR), a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and structuring. Before proceeding with the planed withdrawal of your money, I would strongly suggest that you read the following federal guidelines as it relates to CTR’s as produced by the The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). All the federal regulations contained in this article are elucidated in this series of federal reports. Before withdrawing your money, please be aware of these three regulations related to getting your money out of the bank.

(1) CTR

Federal law requires that the bank file a report based upon any withdrawal or deposit of $10,000 or more on any single given day.The law was designed to put a damper on money laundering, sophisticated counterfeiting and other federal crimes. To remain in compliance with the law, financial institutions must obtain personal identification, information about the transaction and the social security number of the person conducting the transaction. Technically, there is no federal law prohibiting the use of large amounts of cash. However, a CTR must be filed in ALL cases of cash transaction regardless of the reason underlying the transaction. This means your cash transaction will be on the radar.

(2) Structuring and (3) SAR

There will undoubtedly be some geniuses whose math ability will tell them that all they have to do is to withdraw $9,999.99 and the bank and its protector, the federal government will be none the wiser. It is not quite that simple. Here are a few examples of structuring violations that one should be aware of:

1. Barry S. has obtained $15,000 in cash he obtained from selling his truck. He knows that if he deposits $15,000 in cash, his financial institution will be required to file a CTR. Instead he deposits $7,500 in cash in the morning with one financial institution employee and comes back to the financial institution later in the day to another employee to deposit the remaining $7,500, hoping to evade the CTR reporting requirement. Barry should have used multiple accounts to conduct this transaction.

2. Hillary C. needs $16,000 in cash to pay for supplies for her arts and crafts business. Hillary cashes an $8,000 personal check at a financial institution on a Monday. She subsequently cashes another $8,000 personal check at the bank the following day. Hillary is careful to have cashed the two checks on different days and structured the transactions in an attempt to evade the CTR reporting requirement. Hillary should have made irregular deposits on staggered days covering a significant period of time. Or better, yet she should convert her soon worthless cash to precious metals.

3. A married couple, Bill and Hillary, sell a vehicle for $12,000 in cash. To evade the CTR reporting requirement, Bill and Hillary structure their transactions using different accounts. Bill deposits $8,000 of that money into his and Hillary’s joint account in the morning. Later that day, Hillary deposits $1,500 into the joint account, then $2,500 into her sister’s account, which is later transferred to Bill and Hillary’s joint account at the same bank. Again, Bill and Hillary should have used multiple banks. The aggregate total of the three transactions totals more than the $10,000 threshold, therefore, a SAR would be filed by the bank and you would be the subject of a federal investigation as all three of the above cases clearly violate the federal banking laws related to structuring. It is a federal crime to break up transactions into smaller amounts for the purpose of evading the CTR reporting requirement. In these instances, the bank is required to file a SAR which serves to notify the federal government of an individual’s attempt to structure deposits or withdrawals by circumventing the $10,000 reporting requirement.

Structuring transactions to prevent a CTR from being reported can result in imprisonment for not more than five years and/or a fine of up to $250,000. If structuring involves more than $100,000 in a twelve month period or is performed while violating another law of the federal government, the penalty is doubled.

The FDIC to the Rescue

You say the FDIC will save you? Your bank fails, it's ok, the government will take care of you. ......

Ok, I have composed myself and have stopped laughing at the inane statement. The truth of the matter is that the FDIC has about 1.2% of the cash on hand to cover all banking deposits in the country. Just like in my mom's family, you are getting NOTHING. I hope the weather is nice the day you decide to stand in line to get your funds out of the bank, because you are going to be in line for a long time and you will be going home with nothing except the regret you will feel for not having prepared!

Is there anything you can to prepare for the crash that is coming? Yes, but it takes something that most Americans do not have, discipline! You should have zero debt. You should gather food, water filtration, guns and ammo to protect what you have earned, gold and silver will hold or even increase their value, natural healthcare (medicine),, tools, the Bible, allies, etc. Except for leaving two months of cash on hand in the bank to pay living expenses, you should immediately transfer your soon-to-be-worthless-cash to gold, silver and completely paid off real-estate. But how do you do this without going to jail? There is no law preventing you from buying a product directly from your bank account. Do not withdraw the funds, pay directly and all the federal restrictions against you removing your money by purchasing wealth enduring investment directly. It is simple, effective and legal. Another simple strategy to minimize your banking risk is to pay cash for everything that you can.

Enforcement

Much like the enforcement of our tax laws, the federal government’s enforcement of its banking laws as it relates to CTR’s, SAR’s and subsequent structuring is quite draconian. Civilian asset forfeiture laws come into play. The government can seize your bank accounts while it determines if a crime has been committed. The government can literally seize your assets in perpetuity without an order of the court. Of course, you could try and sue but you will be up against the deep pockets of the federal government and the case could take years. By the time your case is decided, the financial banking crisis that you are so desperately trying to avoid by withdrawing your money, could be over. So, proceed with caution.

An oil carrier the size of nearly three football fields has been delivered to its new owner in northeast China. It is the first “smart” carrier in the world, and has a loading capacity of 308,000 tons.

The main feature of the vessel ‘New Journey,’ which belongs to the very large crude carrier (VLCC) type, is an installed “intelligent” system, according to Chinese media. The 300-meter-long tanker boasts assisted autopilot navigation, intelligent liquid cargo management, and integrated energy efficiency management, among other functions.

The oil tanker became the latest addition to the large fleet of China Merchants Energy Shipping Company and was delivered to the coastal city of Dalian on Saturday. The ‘New Journey’ was constructed by China’s largest shipbuilding company, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC), part of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC).

The vessel has already successfully finished its sea trial, as well as other tests, including intelligent equipment and system testing.

“At present, countries around the world are actively promoting intelligent navigation and developing intelligent technologies for ships, which plays an important role in improving maritime traffic safety, energy conservation, emission reduction and economic efficiency,” said Vice Chief Engineer of DSIC Guan Yinghua, as cited by China News Service website.

The endless beauty of the Arctic has been captured in all its glory from one of Russia’s biggest nuclear icebreakers, the Yamal, as its fierce 'shark jaw' split through ice hummocks gliding towards the icy horizons.

The extreme Arctic conditions were no challenge for the 75,000-horsepower Yamal nuclear icebreaker as it sailed through part of the Northern Sea Route covered with a meters-thick ice cap. The raw power of the vessel breaking endless fields of ice with its 'shark jaw' hull seemed like mere child's play from above.

The drone footage, shot by the Timelab Pro crew during their week-long journey in March 2018, also captured the rarely-seen beauty of the frozen domain, and an encounter with another '50 Years of Victory' icebreaker. The action-packed adventure on board the 'Yamal' showed the crew passing through the Barents Sea to the Kara Sea around the Novaya Zemlya archipelago.

“We saw the Northern Lights and polar bears, and watched a ship being stuck in the ice,” Andrei Efimov, a member of the film crew noted.
