It Is Foretold

Dear Friends,

Greetings! There is a saying that to be "forewarned is to be forearmed". This saying does in fact have a scriptural precident. Jesus said in Luke 21:34, "And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares."

In other words, if you know what is coming you can plan for it accordingly. That is why we check the weather report, so we can dress and plan accordingly for what kind of weather the day may bring forth. Jesus said in Matthew 16:2-3, "When it is evening, ye say, it will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?"

God wants us to be able to discern the "signs of the times", which is why we share these few articles most weeks, so that we will not be ignorant of what is happening and what is going to happen in the future. The most important thing is of course to be as well prepared spiritually as we can and also to prepare physically as we are able.

A psalm we often quote, or quote part of, is Psalm 91. It may be a good idea to memorize and store this Word in your heart, as many of these faith building verses will definitely help to shore up your faith in troubled times. For instance, one we used last week was Romans 8:38-39, " For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".

A tremendous promise meant to be taken literally. " For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

(2 Timothy 1:7) Another wonderful promise from God's Word.

A respected pastor, best-selling author and founder of a major ministry to teens predicts an imminent "an earth-shattering calamity" centered in New York City that will spread to major urban areas across the country and around the world as part of what he sees as a judgment from God.

David Wilkerson, author of "The Cross and the Switchblade," a book about his ministry to troubled New York street kids that was later made into a movie starring Pat Boone, tells readers of his blog this weekend that he is "compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message" about his prediction.

"An earth-shattering calamity is about to happen," he writes. "It is going to be so frightening, we are all going to tremble, “ even the godliest among us."

Wilkerson's vision is of fires raging through New York City.

"It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires – such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago," he explains. "There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting – including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God's wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written, "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

Wilkerson is the founding pastor of Times Square Church in New York City, where he launched a ministry to gang members and drug addicts in 1958. He is a highly regarded mentor to other pastors in evangelical circles and travels the world holding conference for other Christian ministers.

"God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations," claims Wilkerson. "He is destroying the secular foundations." Wilkerson urges everyone to stockpile a 30-day supply of food and other necessities to deal with the catastrophe he foresees.

"I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off," Wilkerson concluded in his message. "I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose."

45 percent of world's wealth destroyed: Blackstone CEO

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Private equity company Blackstone Group LP (BX.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) CEO Stephen Schwarzman said on Tuesday that up to 45 percent of the world's wealth has been destroyed by the global credit crisis.

"Between 40 and 45 percent of the world's wealth has been destroyed in little less than a year and a half," Schwarzman told an audience at the Japan Society. "This is absolutely unprecedented in our lifetime."

Geographically, he said there were "pockets of strength" in China, which is committed to getting to an 8 percent growth level, and in India, where the economy is slowing but banks are in good shape.

Chuck Norris claims thousands of right wing cell groups exist and will rebel against U.S. government

The call by some right wing leaders for rebellion and for the military to refuse the commander in chief's orders is joined by Chuck Norris who claims that thousands of right wing cell groups have organized and are ready for a second American Revolution. During an appearance on the Glen Beck radio show he promised that if things get any worse from his point of view he may "run for president of Texas." The martial artist/actor/activist claims that Texas was never formally a part of the United States in the first place and that if rebellion is to come through secession Texas would lead the way.

Today in his syndicated column on WorldNetDaily Norris reiterates the point: "That need may be a reality sooner than we think. If not me, someone someday may again be running for president of the Lone Star state, if the state of the union continues to turn into the enemy of the state."

He continues; calling on a second American Revolution; "...we've bastardized the First Amendment, reinterpreted America's religious history and secularized our society until we ooze skepticism and circumvent religion on every level of public and private life.

How much more will Americans take? When will enough be enough? And, when that time comes, will our leaders finally listen or will history need to record a second American Revolution? We the people have the authority according to America's Declaration of Independence, which states: That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government..."

Norris claims that; "Thousands of cell groups will be united around the country in solidarity over the concerns for our nation." The right wing cells will meet during a live telecast, "We Surround Them," on Friday March 13 at 5 p.m.

He closes with the words of Sam Houston followed by a plug for his next martial arts event.

"We view ourselves on the eve of battle."

Homeschoolers ordered into public classrooms

Judge: Children need more 'focus' despite testing above grade levels

A North Carolina judge has ordered three children to attend public schools this fall because the homeschooling their mother has provided over the last four years needs to be "challenged."

The children, however, have tested above their grade levels – by as much as two years.

The decision is raising eyebrows among homeschooling families, and one friend of the mother has launched a website to publicize the issue.

The ruling was made by Judge Ned Mangum of Wake County, who was handling a divorce proceeding for Thomas and Venessa Mills.

A statement released by a publicist working for the mother, whose children now are 10, 11 and 12, said Mangum stripped her of her right to decide what is best for her children's education.

The judge, when contacted by WND, explained his goal in ordering the children to register and attend a public school was to make sure they have a "more well-rounded education."

Mangum said he made the determination on his guiding principle, "What's in the best interest of the minor children," and conceded it was putting his judgment in place of the mother's.

In the North Carolina case, Adam Cothes, a spokesman for the mother, said the children routinely had been testing at up to two years above their grade level, were involved in swim team and other activities and events outside their home and had taken leadership roles in history club events.

On her website, family friend Robyn Williams said Mangum stated his decision was not ideologically or religiously motivated but that ordering the children into public schools would "challenge the ideas you've taught them."

Williams, a homeschool mother of four herself, said, "I have never seen such injustice and such a direct attack against homeschool."

"This judge clearly took personal issue with Venessa's stance on education and faith, even though her children are doing great. If her right to homeschool can be taken away so easily, what will this mean for homeschoolers state wide, or even nationally?" Williams asked.

According to Williams' website, the judge also ordered a mental health evaluation for the mother but not the father as part of the divorce proceedings, in what Williams described as an attack on the "mother's conservative Christian beliefs."

The website said the judge also said public school would "prepare these kids for the real world and college" and allow them "socialization."

The North Carolina ruling also resembles a number of rulings handed down against homeschool parents in Germany, where such instruction has been banned since the years of Adolf Hitler's rule.

Olmert: Divide Israel's capital

Says no peace unless Jewish nation splits holiest city

There can not be "peace" between Israel and the Palestinians unless the Jewish state is willing to divide Jerusalem, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said this past weekend.

"There will be no peace if a significant part of Jerusalem is not the capital of the Palestinian state," Olmert declared at a speech in front of residents of the Israeli north.

As Mayor of Jerusalem from 1993 to 2003, Olmert repeatedly stated the capital city would never be divided. He was known to thump his hands against podiums while making such pronouncements during public engagements.

Asked how his opinion about dividing Jerusalem changed, Olmert replied, "When you sit on the chair of the prime minister, which isn't very comfortable, you have a panoramic view of everything, from end to end. ... When you see a panoramic image, you have to reach different conclusions than the ones you reached when you only had a partial picture."

"I had to ask myself whether I will be clinging to the positions I espoused for all those years, or whether I will be moving forward," Olmert said. "[Former Prime Minister Yitzhak] Rabin, may he rest in peace, was getting there, but the bullet of an assassin stopped him. I started seeing things a little differently ever since then."
