Dear Friends,
Greetings. As we approach the end of 2012, not really knowing if or when the prophecies of the Bible and many other sources may come to pass, we do know certain truths. If we are truly prepared with Jesus in our hearts, with faith in His Word, then we can surely say, 'que sera sera', 'whatever will be will be', knowing God will see us through and keep us with what ever is to be, whether the rise of the antichrist, the confirming of the covenant, the breaking of the covenant, the Great Tribulation, or the return of Jesus at the end of the Tribulation.
If we are about to head into a time of great trouble, the above verse from the Apocrypha, we felt pretty much is another confirmation to many of the promises of God found in the Bible. A good example to hold onto being Psalm 91, “He that dwelleth in the secret place (shelter) of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
We think you will find the material below both relevant and interesting. Included are two interviews with Joseph Candel – 'Fallen Angels' and 'The Great Deception'. Joesph has done a very good job outlining future events as predicted in the Bible and the possibilities of what may lay ahead.

The bottom line in all this is that the ruling elite, which is heavily involved in Satanic practices is using mind control or sorcery to destroy the Middle Class and establish a Luciferian elite and their worker slaves. Aldous Huxley made these remarks at a speech at a university in California:
"A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned, in present-day totalitarian states, to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers.... The greatest triumphs of propaganda have been accomplished, not by doing something, but by refraining from doing. Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth."
Occult philosophy is essential to this totalitarian state because it teaches that man is not made in the image of God, therefore he has no intrinsic value. This opens the gates of hell to enslave man with economics, (wealth redistribution) mass mind control and the real goal of social engineering, which is to control mass consciousness, so that masses or the people on the bottom of the pyramid live as controlled puppets and economic debtors to the ruling elite. The present economic crisis is simply the mechanism for creating slaves!
The Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament, I believe is God's inspired and inerrant Word, the problem is that many of the people talking about it, have no idea what it is actually saying. But, the power of truth in the Bible is like a cosmic tsunami smashing the strongholds of hell on the beaches of human consciousness. It is clear starting in Eden, that God made man, male and female to be the rulers of Paradise. Man was never created to be a slave! Adam and Eve lost the power of their rulership by entering into a dialogue with the consciousness of evil, embodied by the serpent. In its simplest terms, Adam and Eve lost their rulership by rejecting God's Word, in favor of the evil philosophy of the serpent. The serpent was the most powerful of fallen angels, whose name was Lucifer, which means the "shining one." He wanted to be god and led a revolution against god, along with one third of the angels, which is still continuing to this present day.
Lucifer's plan was to enslave mankind, which he did when he deceived Adam and Eve. All those who have chosen to serve Lucifer, hope to gain power by enslaving others and that is the world system. The dictatorial rule of Satan is manifested in physical models of society and power. Beginning at the Tower of Babel, then under the Pharaoh system, where God's people were made slaves. Every time mankind rejected the precepts of God for a philosophy like Communism, Fascism or humanism, men and women became slaves under a cruel and dictatorial ruler, like Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and Mao, where hundreds of millions were put in slave camps and murdered. There is a vast difference between the workers' paradise of Karl Marx and the paradise of God in Eden.
In a cosmic sense we are now approaching crunch time! The prophecies and predictions of the Biblical prophets are coming true before our very eyes. The world is being ruled by a Satanic elite, which are herded us like slaves to the one world government, one world economic system and one world religion predicted in Revelation Chapter 13. Men and women who reject God as their Ruler, will receive the ultimate mark of a slave, the mark of the beast, which is a microchip or biochip implant where no one can buy or sell, without this electronic mark of the beast.
The planned destruction of the dollar and the manufactured economic collapse is intended to bring in the coming one world economic system, by around 2018. Then the mass population of planet earth, who chose to reject God, will choose to worship the Antichrist as God. We are in the birth pains described by Jesus Christ as the signs of the times in Matthew 24. Christ and the Apostle Paul warned of Satanic elite that would rise to rule the world in the last days. They clearly said that the spiritual deception in mankind would be so intense that they would be under a Great Delusion of Great Apostasy. This is global mass mind control that is first spiritual and also drug oriented and technological.
Through so-called secular predictive programming mankind has been programmed to accept a world authoritarian leader, accept the loss of freedoms, accept being slaves and accepting a mark and embrace the idea that all resistance in useless. The Satanic elite is openly killing off, or "culling the herd," of "useless eaters," by taking the world's population from 7 billion to 500 million. They are using the Science of Eugenics first developed by the Rockefeller Foundation in the 1920's and then adopted by Hitler in the 1930's as the scientific justification for their goals.
On a theological level, a superficial reading of Bible prophecy would lead one to conclude that we are to be fatalistic, accept our role as victims and do nothing until Christ returns. Yet the Bible teaches that we are to, "rightly divide the Word." That means we are to take great care to interpret it correctly. Now, based on my personal experience, of teaching Bible prophecy to millions of people through mass media, I know that many will instantly misinterpret what I am about to say.
But, within the Evangelical Community there is almost an unconscious death wish when it comes to Bible prophecy. Nowhere in the Bible does it ever teach Christians to become fatalists and do nothing until Christ returns. Nowhere! In fact, the Bible teaches at great length the responsibility of those who claim to know Christ, to actively engage the world and the culture. For example, in the Parable of the Talents, Christians are told to use their talents, abilities and resources for God, or suffer severe penalties for becoming apathetic and doing nothing! Christians often talk about the preaching the Gospel, which of course is what they should do. However, the words of Jesus Christ, "Occupy until I come," are omitted by many Christians as if it were an obscenity!
Yet, Jesus Christ is specifically telling us that we are to "Occupy until I come!" Occupation implies maintaining your position and even advancing it! Yet, we see the majority of Christians adopting a non-Biblical theology or retreatism or escapism. The most often used excuse is that we are in the last days and we are not to interfere with God's end time program. Essentially, the argument goes we are to just hang in there until the Rapture. The non-Biblical idea is that if we attempt to do anything, we might be interfering with God's Sovereign plan. Thus passivity and fatalism are promoted as the ultimate will of God for the truly spiritual Christian.
All of the above so-called theological reasons for apathy, passivity and fatalism, are the direct opposite of what Christ is actually teaching. In fact, they are a complete defiance of His stated will! When Jesus Christ said that we are to, "Occupy until I Come," that is precisely what He meant. He said, "occupy and not hide, retreat and sleep!
The idea that by taking action based on a sound mind is an attempt to overrule God's Sovereignty is the exact opposite of what Christ taught. It is impossible to for any man to overrule God's Sovereignty through prayer or action. God's Sovereign plan will unfold exactly as He planned and He did not create man to live in a fatalistic universe. That is why God most often works in partnership with His people. Many times you will hear the false theological argument that this is the last days and everything is supposed to get worse, therefore we should not attempt to do anything about it, because we might interfere with God's plan. This is theological insanity! It has been the last days ever since the time of the Apostle Paul over 2,000 years ago. During the last days, which we are still in, there have been countless revivals like the Reformation, First Great Awakening and Third Great Awakening. There has been global evangelism where hundreds of millions have accepted the truth of Christ's message. Empires of great evil like the Third Reich, Lenin, Stalin and others have been destroyed or restrained.
By God's grace technological achievements such as the light bulb, electricity, air travel, television, computers, medical advances and countless other scientific breakthroughs have alleviated great suffering. The American Revolution with its unique Constitution and Bill of Rights produced the greatest Middle Class in the history of mankind, along with the most freedoms, including religious freedoms. All of this and much, much more has happened during the last days!
We are still in the last days and the signs of the times are intensifying every day. The danger of global thermonuclear war, plagues, famines, wars, economic collapse, earthquakes, freak weather and asteroid impact are just a few of the dangers the human race faces. However, in the face of the warnings given to us by the ancient prophets, scientists, Apostles and Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ emphatically commanded us to, "Occupy until I Come!" That is our prime directive! "And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18
It is important that you accurately understand what I am saying. I am not calling for some kind of Christian Reconstruction movement or the establishment of a Christian theocracy. I am simply advocating that what Christ taught be established in relationship to our present moment. When the church is in obedience to the words, "Occupy until I come," the gates of hell cannot prevail against the church. At this present moment, which is in the last days, the church is to move forward as the spiritual armies of light and engage the armies of spiritual darkness. That conflict or spiritual war is to continue until Christ returns.
The reason spiritual darkness, chaos and the armies of evil appear to triumph in our present hour, is because the church has rejected its mandate from its Lord to, "Occupy until I come." The correct interpretation of the "gates of hell cannot prevail," is to be understood in the sense, that the gates of hell represent hell's kingdom on earth. But, the church, if viewed properly is to be seen as a divine battering ram, smashing down the gates of hell! When the individual Christian and church come into divine alignment with God's intention, there will be a release from heaven of spiritual power that has the power to overturn the earthly kingdoms of spiritual darkness and drive the powers of darkness from the land. This is ground zero in the spiritual war. All economic, political, social, spiritual, technological and institutional control will turn on this one truth. Everything we are experiencing in America and around the world will be impacted by an eternal force. This is the game changer and it must begin today.

Survival kits and trips to hell, doomsday hysteria grips Russia

Doomsday hysteria has gripped Russia and some of its neighbors. Travel agencies are selling tours to either heaven or hell and people are stocking up on food and fuel. Officials are publicly denying the apocalypse, hoping to calm the hype.
Those awaiting Doomsday have three weeks to finish their preparations before the date of the much publicized apocalypse allegedly predicted by Mayan calendar, that is going to happen on December 21, 2012.
Thousands of people across Russia keep stocking up their back rooms and balconies with food, fuel and other supplies they might need when disaster strikes. Some are even moving outside of cities because of the widely spread rumors that cities would be impossible to survive in after an apocalypse on Earth.
According to one of the most popular scenarios, on December 21 the sun is going to line up with the center of our Milky Way galaxy which will cause an entire blackout on Earth and a wave of different natural disasters.
Doomsday merchandize offered in Russia and Ukraine include survival kits. In the Siberian city of Tomsk such items for "meeting the end of the world" include ID cards, notepads, canned fish, a bottle of vodka, rope, a piece of soap, among other items. The packages are said to be popular among customers, more than 1,000 kits have been already sold, the company says.
Ukrainian entrepreneurs also offer a version of a doomsday kit. Just like Tomsk package, the Ukrainian one also includes alcohol: champagne for ladies and vodka for gentlemen. The rest of the kit consist of jack-knife, two-minute noodles, shampoo, soap, rope, matches and condoms.

Not all doom and gloom
An apocalypse kit is not the only way for the entrepreneurial minded to cash in on the end of the world hype.
One Ukrainian enterprise is selling tours to heaven and hell for December 21 promising full return of money in case of "not getting to heaven or hell." A trip to heaven would cost about $15, while trip to the underworld is more expensive at around $18. The agency explains difference in price by saying that Hell should be more fun.
While Ukrainian trips are even said by the firm behind to be just for fun, some individuals in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod offered far more expensive doomsday fair - one being a salvation trip in an arc. An internet ad offered seats in the arc for just 80,000-150,000 rubles, which is approximately $2,600-5,000.
Bars and nightclubs are getting ready for apocalypse day in their own way announcing theme parties and inventing special cocktails like "Total Recall" - an extremely alcoholic drink that makes you "recall your entire life."
But doomsday hysteria isn't isolated to just the former soviet Republic. In France authorities had to ban access to a mountain that doomsday theorists believe will be the only safe spot during the apocalypse on December 21.
At the birthplace of Mayan calendar, Mexico and Guatemala agencies offer tours "The end of the world with Maya" and "The world of Maya 2012."

Russian officials cancel apocalypse
Meanwhile, in Russia rapidly growing doomsday hype has sparked a negative reaction from authorities.
Russias Emergency Ministry is not expecting any global cataclysms in the near future, the head of EMERCOM Vladimir Puchkov said on Friday, adding that those worried are free to call the Ministry hotline to talk about their concerns.</P>
<P>Another senior official took a more emotional stance about doomsday speculations. Russias Chief Medical Officer of Health Gennady Onishenko lashed out at those publicizing the apocalypse warning that they would end up in court.
"This directly influences people`s health. When they depress you and say that in less than one month everything is going to end, there are many people, who believe this," he said.
Russian State Duma deputies wrote an open letter urging media to stop speculating about the doomsday. The deputy head of the Duma committee on Science and Technology publicly promised that no apocalypse is happening on December 21.
"In our committee there are academics and scientists, and with all responsibility we state that there will be no doomsday. Who made that up and circulates this around?" he asked.
Mayan legacy
The speculations about December 21, 2012, doomsday are prompted by the Mayan calendar ending on this very day.
The Mayan civilization reached its height from 300 AD to 900 AD was based in modern day Mexico and Central America. Mayans were good astronomers and created very precise calendars.
Their Long Count calendar begins in 3,114 BC, measuring time in 394-year periods known as Baktuns. The thirteenth Baktun ends around Dec 21, 2012, which first produced rumors about the end of the world.
Despite numerous scientists and Mayan descendants denying the connection between the end of the calendar and the end of the world the rumors quickly got out of control causing public hysteria.
It is not known why this particular end of the world theory became so popular. Over two dozen doomsday predictions have failed to materialize since the beginning of the 20th century.

The False Prophet And The Antichrist Are Here
Petrus Romanus, the Antichrist, and the Years 2012 & 2016

Contemporaneous to the arrival of the False Prophet (Petrus Romanus) is a prophecy from what is widely considered the most important work of Jewish Kabbalah, the Zohar, a collection of books written in medieval Aramaic over seven hundred years ago containing mystical commentary on the Pentateuch (five books of Moses, the Torah). In addition to interpreting Scripture, the "Vaera" section (volume 3, section 34) includes "The signs heralding Mashiach," or "The coming of the Messiah." The fascinating date for "his" appearance is set in the Zohar in late 2012! Given the rejection of Jesus by orthodox Jews as Messiah, Christians understand this "coming" would herald the unveiling of Antichrist in 2012.
J. R. Church of Prophecy in the News called our office a couple years back and led us through verses 476 - 483 of this part of the Zohar to point out what nobody in the 2012 research community had written before--that the time of Jacob's trouble (the Great Tribulation, which some Catholic scholars say begins with the election of Petrus Romanus) will commence according to this ancient text in the year 2012 when the "kings of the earth" gather in Rome, possibly during a papal conclave, and are killed by fiery stones or missiles from the sky.
The prophecy in the Zohar, given by Jews hundreds of years separate from the divination of "the last pope," is amazing when compared with the Catholic prediction. The final pope, "Peter the Roman," whose reign ends in the destruction of Rome, will assume authority during a time of great tribulation, and then "the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the terrible and fearsome Judge will judge his people." But Dr. Church pointed out how in the Jewish Zohar, this vision of the destruction of Rome is repeated, though one prophecy connects it to the coming of the False Prophet, and the other, the Antichrist:
This ancient rabbinical dissertation claims that Rome will be destroyed in the Jewish calendar year 5773, which, in our calendar begins with the new moon of September 2012 and concludes a year later:
"In the year seventy-three [2012/2013] the kings of the world will assemble in the great city of Rome, and the Holy One will shower on them fire and hail and meteoric stones until they are all destroyed, with the exception of those who will not yet have arrived there."
Is he hinting at the destruction of Mystery Babylon? He notes that not all kings will be destroyed. Of those remaining, he says: "These will commence anew to make other wars. From that time the Messiah will begin to declare himself, and round him there will be gathered many nations and many hosts from the uttermost ends of the earth."[i]
Thus the false messiah (antichrist) is predicted in a seven-hundred-year-old Jewish prophecy to appear in 2012. Similarly, the nine-hundred-year-old Prophecy of the Popes looks to be unfolding in parallel fashion to provide Petrus Romanus in 2012. To these, we could add numerous other strange attractors from throughout history that also assigned apocalyptic importance to the year 2012, including:
· The Mayan calendar ends in 2012 with the return of their flying dragon god Kulkulkan.
· The Aztec calendar ends in 2012 and their flying dragon god Quetzalcoatl returns.
· The Cherokee Indian calendar ends in the year 2012 and their flying rattlesnake god returns. The "Cherokee Rattlesnake Prophecies," also known as the "Chickamaugan Prophecy" or the "Cherokee Star Constellation Prophecies," are part of a series of apocalyptic prophecies made by members of the Cherokee tribe during 1811 - 1812. Like the Maya, the Cherokee calendar ends mysteriously in the year 2012 when astronomical phenomena related to Jupiter, Venus, Orion, and Pleiades cause the "powers" of the star systems to "awaken."
·According to ancient Mayan inscriptions, in 2012, the Mayan underworld god Bolon Yokte Ku also returns.
· The Hindu Kali Yuga calendar ends in the year 2012 at the conclusion of the age of "the male demon."
· According to the book, Apollyon Rising 2012, the prophecy of the Cumaean Sibyl on the Great Seal of the United States (novus ordo seclorum) points to the coming of the Antichrist in 2012. (more notes on this below)
· Over two hundred sixty years ago, the leader of the first Great Awakening in America, Jonathan Edwards, tied the arrival of the Antichrist and Great Tribulation period to the timeframe 2012 and 2016.
· One hundred thirty years after that, in 1878, Reverend William J. Reid did the same, writing in his "Lectures on the Revelation" concerning the papal system: "...we are prepared to answer the question, When will the Papal system come to an end? [It] will be destroyed in the year 2012."[ii]
· Also of interest is the Web Bot Project, which was developed in the late 1990s for tracking and making stock market predictions. This technology crawls the Internet, much like a search engine does, searching for keywords and following "chatter" in order to tap into "the collective unconscious" of the global community for tipping points regarding past, current, and future buying patterns. In 2001, operators began noticing what looked like more than coincidences, and that the "bot" was taking on a mind of its own, accurately predicting more than just stock market predictions, including June of 2001 when the program predicted that a life-altering event would be felt worldwide and would take place within sixty to ninety days. On September 11, 2001, the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center fell. The Web Bot also predicted the 2001 anthrax attack on Washington DC; the earthquake that produced the December 26, 2004, tsunami; Hurricane Katrina; and more. The Web Bot has now foretold global devastation for late December 2012.
· In 2008, Henry Kissinger predicted the arrival of the New World Order in four years - 2012

Mayan End Date for CERN Largest Experiment Ever

This year, CERN is beginning another set of experiments in hopes to getting that much closer to completing the Standard Model. Scientists at CERN have announced test dates for the rest of the year, as well as some curious dates can be found in the upcoming schedule. Starting Monday, December 17, 2012 and going through Friday, December 21, 2012, CERN will be launching and running a series of collisions, which are predicted to break records in high voltage collisions already set by the LHC. With these experiments, the scientists are hoping to create atomic reactions that would provide further information about anti-matter, and the big bang.
The test set for the week of December 17-21, 2012 is the final test before the LHC will shutdown operations for upgrades and will resume operation in 2014, assuming something doesn’t go wrong, in the minds of some of the scientists, terribly right, which causes the end of the world. I guess we will just have to see what happens. Let us know what you think, is CERN guilty of a self-fulfilling prophecy of destruction here?

Fears the end of the Mayan calendar predicts the end of the world this coming December have run rife on the internet in recent years.
Less well known is the rumour that one particular mountain in south-west France will burst open on that day revealing an alien spaceship which will carry nearby humans to safety.
Well, if you were counting on that possibility to save you from the apocalypse, prepare to be disappointed. French officials have banned access to the Pic de Bugarach to avoid a rush of New Age fanatics, sightseers and, above all, journalists.

A hundred police and firefighters will also control approaches to the tiny village of the same name at the foot of the mountain, and if too many people turn up, they will block access there too.
Believers say the world will end on December 21, 2012, the end date of the ancient Mayan calendar, and they see Bugarach as one of a few sacred mountains sheltered from the cataclysm.
Eric Freysselinard, France's top official in the area, told AFP: 'We are expecting a few visionaries, a few people who believe in this end of the world, but in extremely limited numbers.
'We are expecting greater numbers of people who are just curious, but in numbers we cannot determine. Above all, we are expecting lots of journalists.'

Next year's "brightest comet in modern times" to be "once in a civilization" event

As it flares out of the distant Oort Cloud, the newly discovered comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) appears to be heading on a trajectory that could make for one of the most spectacular night-sky events in living memory. Why is this comet expected to be so unique? Two reasons:
Astronomers predict that the comet will pass just 1.16 million miles from the Sun as it swings around its perihelion, or closest approach. (This may seem like a lot, but remember - the Sun is big. If we were to scale the Sun down to the size of Earth, the comet would pass well within the orbits of dozens of satellites.) The close approach will melt enormous amounts of the comet's ice, releasing dust and gas and forming what should be a magnificent tail.
After it loops around the Sun and forms this tail, the comet should then pass relatively close to Earth - not near enough to cause any worry, but close enough to put on a great show. Viewers in the Northern Hemisphere will get the best view as the comet blooms in the weeks approaching Christmas 2013. The comet could grow as bright as the full moon.
Of course, comets have a habit of not living up to expectations. This one could be sucked into the Sun during its close approach, or not grow as much of a tail as astronomers hope.
But that hasn't dampened enthusiasm for what Astronomy Now is awkwardly calling "a once-in-a-civilisation's-lifetime" event. The comet expert John E. Bortle is already comparing ISON with the Great Comet of 1680, which, according to contemporary accounts, caused the people of New York's Manhattan Island to be "overcome with terror at a sight in the heavens such as has seldom greeted human eyes.... In the province of New York a day of fasting and humiliation was appointed, in order that the wrath of God might be assuaged."
We can only hope for such a show.

At first it was tailless and dim, like a nebulous cloud, but at the end of a week the tail began to show itself and in a second week had attained a length of 30 degrees; in the third week it extended to 70 degrees, while the whole mass was growing brighter. Down the years and across the universe, the heroes of science-fiction classics from Dan Dare to Star Wars and The Matrix have fought intergalactic battles with weapons that wipe out enemy electronics at the touch of a button.
Now scientists have turned fantasy into reality by developing a missile that targets buildings with microwaves that disable computers but don't harm people.
Aircraft manufacturer Boeing successfully tested the weapon on a one-hour flight during which it knocked out the computers of an entire military compound in the Utah desert.

It is thought the missile could penetrate the bunkers and caves believed to be hiding Iran's suspected nuclear facilities. But experts have warned that, in the wrong hands, the technology could be used to bring Western cities such as London to their knees.
During Boeing's experiment, the missile flew low over the Utah Test and Training Range, discharging electromagnetic pulses on to seven targets, permanently shutting down their electronics.
Boeing said that the test was so successful even the camera recording it was disabled.
Codenamed the Counter-Electronics High Power Microwave Advanced Missile Project (CHAMP), it is the first time a missile with electromagnetic pulse capability has been tested.
For security reasons, Boeing declined to release film of the test, but instead issued an artist's impression of it on video. In the clip, a stealth aircraft deploys a missile that emits radio waves from its undercarriage which knock out the computer systems inside the buildings below.

The company did release real film showing a row of computers that can be seen shutting down when the electromagnetic pulse is switched on.
Although the project is shrouded in secrecy, experts believe the missile is equipped with an electromagnetic pulse cannon. This uses a super-powerful microwave oven to generate a concentrated beam of energy which causes voltage surges in electronic equipment, rendering them useless before surge protectors have the chance to react.
Keith Coleman, CHAMP programme manager for Boeing's prototype arm Phantom Works, said the technology marked 'a new era in modern warfare'.
He added: 'In the near future, this technology may be used to render an enemy's electronic and data systems useless even before the first troops or aircraft arrive.
'We hit every target we wanted and made science fiction into science fact. When the computers went out, it actually took out the cameras as well. It was fantastic.'
The project has cost £24 million and has been developed on behalf of the US Air Force Research Laboratory following a request from the Pentagon four years ago.
Lead test engineer Peter Finlay said: 'We're not quite at the place where the Star Trek and Star Wars movies are but this is definitely an advancement in technology able to give us an opportunity to do things we could not do before.' James Dodd, vice-president of Advanced Boeing Military Aircraft, said there was a real need for a weapon that could knock out a target but not cause harm to people and structures.
He said: 'We know this has capabilities and impact. We're trying to see if we can get it implemented sooner rather than later.'
However, experts fear that the project could create an arms race, with countries scrambling to build their own electromagnetic pulse weapons.

Professor Trevor Taylor, Professorial Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, said the Western world would be much more vulnerable to such an attack because of our increased reliance on electronics. He added: 'This is a challenging area in political and military terms. Ideally there would have been an arms-control agreement to cover this field, because once technology is actually developed, control becomes harder.
'The historical record shows that important technologies developed in one country are developed elsewhere within a relatively short period - look what happened with regard to the USSR and nuclear weapons.
'Should the US be known to have developed such a technology to the production stage, it would drive others to try to act similarly.
'Western countries are more dependent on electronics-based IT than others and would be vulnerable to extensive disruption.'
