Greetings! If the media are to be believed, this has been an important week in world history. In case you may have missed it, there have been literally thousands of news articles proclaiming that the 'G20' economic summit ,in Pittsburgh in the US has resulted in the emergence of a "New World Order".
Below we have included just an extremely small smattering of news articles making this proclomation. According to the media the "NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM" is no longer coming, but it has arrived. And how is this "New World Order" to be overseen? Quoting from an article we posted last week; "Each country would set their own standards", it said, "but that these would be overseen by the G20's Financial Stability Board - made up of central bankers and regulators."
This along with Obama's insistance that he is determined to bring peace to the Middle East could mean we are coming into some very interesting times, to say the least, for those who are familiar with Bible prophecy.
We of course know that the beast's, antichrist's, infamous 666 mark of the beast is based on an economic system. "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." (Revelation 13:17)
He has shown us what is coming and He will continue to reveal so in even greater detail as we move further towards the end of this age.

The G-8 would continue to meet separately on security issues, according to reports.

At the end of a summit in London, policy makers from the Group of 20 yesterday delivered a regulatory blueprint that French President Nicholas Sarkozy said turned the page on the Anglo-Saxon model of free markets by placing stricter limits on hedge funds and other financiers. This Greek aphorism often comes to mind when I think of the economic and political changes in my lifetime. They seemed as impossible before they occurred as they have felt natural in retrospect. Communism fell. Germany was united. The United States elected a black man president. And now we are in a phase in which Asia is catching up with the West and American hegemony is being challenged.
While American casino capitalism has collapsed, and America's European economic satellites are suffering, China seems to be taking advantage of the situation, increasing its trade surplus in the midst of the global economic crisis. Indeed, in the first four months of this year, China became the world's leading goods exporter, overtaking Germany, the previous champion.

Iran threatens oil transport route

With the prospect of Israel bombing Iran's nuclear facilities looming, Tehran has renewed its threat to shut down the strategic Strait of Hormuz, through which up to 40 percent of the world's oil supplies pass, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
The strait is a 112-mile-long, horseshoe-shaped, six-mile wide strategic water passageway located between Iran to the north and the United Arab Emirates to the south. It is one of the world's most strategic - and vulnerable - shipping chokepoints.
Through it, two-fifths of the world's oil supply pass en route to consumers. On any given day, some 15 giant oil tankers reportedly carry 17 million barrels of oil.
While the threat from Iranian authorities isn't new, the fact that it could be blocked, even temporarily, comes at a bad time for the world economy in which a spike in energy prices, even for a short time, could have a detrimental impact.
If Israel or the United States were to attack its nuclear facilities, then "definitely the shipment of energy from this region will be seriously jeopardized," Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, has installed surface-to-air and anti-ship missile batteries along Iran's southern border facing the Strait. In addition, the IRGC is assessed to have several hundred Chinese-made C-801 anti-ship cruise missiles deployed along the waterway and on islands in the Strait and on its own warships. Iran also has a major naval base at Bandar Abbas at the bend in the Strait which also would be used in any anti-ship action.
Further, Iran has small craft which can swarm merchant vessels and launch torpedoes. In addition to various assortments of anti-ship missiles, the Iranians may have been equipped with a Russian-made and Chinese-copied torpedoes capable of traveling some 300 miles an hour.
Called by the Russian name Shkval, the torpedo is, in effect, an underwater missile due to supercavitation in which the torpedo travels in a gas bubble generated by the special design of its warhead. Supercavitation minimizes drag, thereby allowing the torpedo to travel at such speeds.
"(Blockage) is (Iran's) ace in the hole, they know it and hold the world hostage by it," said Fariborz Saremi of the International Strategic Studies Association based in Washington, D.C.
"No one should or is ignoring the threat and strategic implications," he said. "If there is a strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, most likely they will play their ace, but if they are trumped, they lose."

Tehran dumps dollar for euro

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ordered the replacement of the US dollar by the euro in calculating the value of the country's Oil Stabilisation Fund (OSF).
The edict, issued on Sept 12, follows a recommendation by the trustees of the country's foreign reserves, Iran's English-language daily The Tehran Times said on Monday, citing Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency.
The move was taken because the government wishes to protect itself from the fragility of the US economy and the weak dollar.
The OSF, which forms part of Iran's foreign exchange reserves, is a contingency fund set aside to cushion the economy against fluctuating international oil prices.
It is also used to help both the public and private sectors with their hard currency needs by extending loans.
Press TV meanwhile reported that following the switch the interest rate for facilities provided from the foreign exchange reserves is to be cut to 5 percent from 12 percent.
Since its introduction in 1999 by the EU the euro has gained popularity internationally and there are now more euros in circulation than the dollar.

Lisbon Treaty set to be passed by decisive majority

Taoiseach Brian Cowen said the Lisbon Treaty will be carried decisively and described the result as a good day for Ireland and a "good day for Europe".
Speaking at a press conference at Leinster House in Dublin this afternoon Mr Cowen said credit for the result rested with the Irish people who had shown a determination to be at the centre of Europe.
"We will now work with all our partners in ensuring the reforms this treaty will bring are implemented. The Irish people have supported reforms so that the EU can become efficient and more effective in dealing with the global concerns we all face".
With counting complete in 31 constituencies, just two have rejected to the treaty.
Tipperary South became the first constituency to declare a result just before 1pm with a resounding majority in favour of the treaty.
This was quickly followed by Yes majorities in Kildare North, Sligo/North Leitrim, Sligo/Monaghan, Clare, Tipperary North and Waterford and in nine of the 12 Dublin constituencies.
The only two to reject the treaty so far are Donegal North East and Donegal South West, the latter by a narrow margin of 50.3 per cent. Both Donegal constituencies rejected the treaty last year.
No campaigners conceded defeat within hours of ballot boxes being opened at 9am as the extent of the move in favour of the treaty became apparent.
Based on the results so far, the Yes has 67.8 per cent of the vote compared to 53 per cent for the No side in the 2008 referendum.

LCROSS Team Changes Target Crater for Impact

Based on new analysis of the latest lunar data, the science team for NASA's Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite mission (LCROSS) decided to change the target crater for impact from Cabeus A to Cabeus (proper). The decision was based on a consensus that Cabeus shows, with the greatest level of certainty, the highest hydrogen concentrations at the south pole. The most current terrain models provided by JAXA's Kaguya spacecraft and the LRO Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) was important in the decision process, as the latest models show a small valley in an otherwise tall Cabeus perimeter ridge, which will allow for sunlight to illuminate the ejecta cloud, making it easier to see from Earth. - -
The decisison was based on continued evaluation of all available data and consultation/input from members of the LCROSS Science Team and the scientific community, including impact experts, ground and space based observers, and observations from (LRO), Lunar Prospector (LP), Chandrayaan-1 and JAXA's Kaguya spacecraft. This decision was prompted by the current best understanding of hydrogen concentrations in the Cabeus region, including cross-correlation between the latest LRO results and LP data sets.
As for the sunlight illuminating the ejecta cloud on Oct. 9, it should show up much better than previously estimated for Cabeus. While the ejecta does have to fly to higher elevations to be observed by Earth telescopes and observers, a shadow cast by a large hill along the Cabeus ridge, provides an excellent, high-contrast, back drop for ejecta and vapor measurements.

The LCROSS team concluded that Cabeus provided the best chance for meeting its mission goals. The team critically assessed and successfully advocated for the change with the Lunar Precursor Robotic Program (LPRP) office. The change in impact crater was factored into LCROSS' most recent Trajectory Correction Maneuver, TCM7.
During the last days of the mission, the LCROSS team will continue to refine the exact point of impact within Cabeus crater to avoid rough spots, and to maximize solar illumination of the debris plume and Earth observations.

David Carradine. Ed McMahon. Farrah Fawcett. Michael Jackson. Billy Mays. Karl Malden. Steve McNair. The Grim Reaper is on a roll.
What might the deaths of these high-profile people have in common with the likes of Gary Hart, Lyndon Johnson, Spiro Agnew, and Richard Nixon?
Answer: Things change!
We do not live in a static universe. Nor do people or situations remain at a standstill. Mountains erode. Riverbeds dry up. Technology moves forward. The economy fluctuates. Laws change.
Who could have predicted that the celebrities I listed in the first paragraph of this article would all be gone within a one-month period?
Gary Hart is long gone from the political scene, forsaking his frontrunner position as the Democratic presidential nominee for fun and games with a good looker named Donna Rice. That opened the door for Michael Dukakis to become the party's nominee in 1988. Things change.
Let's go back to the 60s... Following his loss to John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon turned right around and ran for governor of California in 1962 as a sort of consolation prize for his failed presidential bid. Only one problem: He lost! That's when he delivered his famous "You won't have Richard Nixon to kick around anymore" speech. Finally, the Nixon era had come to an end. Things change.
Hold it. Not so fast. On March 31, 1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson stunned the nation when he went on national television and, almost casually, said, "I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your president." Which cleared the playing field for Bobby Kennedy to grab the Democratic Party's nomination in 1968. Things change.
But a not-so-funny thing happened on the way to the election: Bobby was assassinated. And that, in turn, cleared the playing field for--Yikes, back from the dead!--Richard Nixon. Things change.
Nixon's election to the presidency led to the rise and fall of Spiro Agnew, Watergate, and a third-stringer named Gerald Ford. Ford lasted only a few years, but just for being an accident of history, he became rich and famous. Things change.
The list is of epic changes is endless...
In the 1940s, the invention of the modern air conditioner becomes the catalyst for a population explosion in the unbearably hot South and Southwest.
Fifty years ago, cash begins giving way to credit cards. Today, credit cards are giving way to bank debit cards.
Pay phones give way to cellphones.
In 1995, a kid from Albuquerque puts his Internet bookselling idea into practice, calls it Amazon.com, and ends up dictating the business strategy of Borders and Barnes & Noble for years to come. A few years later, two other kids start a little search-engine company called Google, which becomes the first serious challenge to Microsoft's overall dominance. Facebook... MySpace... Twitter. What's next? Things change.
All of the above comprise but a tiny sampling of some of the major changes that have taken place fairly recently. If someone were ambitious enough, he might spend a few years putting together a book--a very large book--on all the major changes that have rocked the world over, say, the past 100 years.
But you don't need to read such a book to reflect on what change means to you. I've given it a lot of thought over the years, and my conclusions boil down to this:
1. Life does not stand still. Count on it. Never carve your plans in stone. Strive to make flexibility an integral part of your being.
2. Rather than fearing change, think of it as an exciting aspect of being alive. Sometimes the unknown disappoints--even devastates--when it makes its appearance. But more often than not, it brings with it incredible opportunities. Practice expanding your mind to be on the alert for the offsetting positive in every negative situation.
3. Fight the numbing effects of homeostasis--the tendency to maintain the status quo. Hanging on to yesterday's reality is psychologically unhealthy and can cause you to be out of touch with today's reality. Yesterday is a cancelled check. Tomorrow is a postdated check. But today is cash.
4. Keep moving forward. Action is the oxygen of success. You have to keep hitting those singles and doubles to stay in the game of life. Because if you're at bat long enough, that perfect pitch eventually will come across the plate. And that's when you have to be ready to hit it out of the park.
Just realize that the way you view change will have a dramatic impact on the decisions you make, the quality of your life, and your future success (or failure).
Things change. Think about it.

The Bible says in 1Corinthians 15:51-52 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

Dear Jesus, I know I have done wrong in my life. I ask that you please forgive my sins and transgressions. I ask you to come into my heart and give me eternal life so that I can be a part of this soon coming change.
