"The Word is what will keep you in time of trial. Listen to My Word, claim My Word, say My Name, praise Me through your tears, rebuke the enemy, submit your will to Me, and trust Me. Forget your feelings! Obedience and faith bring victory, as you call on the power of the keys."

God Is What We Need

Dear Friends,

Greetings! The Bible says in Romans 1:28 " And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient." Our Oxford English dictionary defines "reprobate" as an "immoral or unprincipled" person. The United States banned prayer from its public school system in 1963. Is it any wonder then why so many people today have ended up as immoral and unprincipled people!

Psalms 14:1 says; "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." For a man or woman to deny the existence of God, they would have to be a complete fool. The word "fool" is not a word to be taken lightly. Jesus said, "I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire." (Matthew 5:22) To call someone a fool during the first century A.D. was in fact a very serious matter.

Again in Romans, chapter one, " For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools." (verses20-22)

We are all without excuse for unbelief because God can clearly be seen through His creation. But because we do have the majesty of choice we can refuse to believe in the existence of God and instead choose to follow "cunningly devised fables", such as evolution. We can spend years of study learning about the carboniferous period, devonian period, etc. until we become vain in our imaginations, and our hearts become darkened. We can profess how wise we are in our understanding of human development and actually become highly educated fools mocking the existence of God. This the Bible did say would happen in the End Times of which we are now living.

"There should be mockers in the last time." (Jude 18)

One of the most ridiculous things about all of this is what Peter said in 2Peter 3:5; "For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water." 'Willingly ignorant', can you imagine! One explanation we heard for willingly ignorant is "dumb on purpose!"

Why would anyone choose to be dumb on purpose? Well, if they acknowledge there is a Creator, and that He has created them, and that He has an instruction manual telling them how they are supposed to live their lives, then, that, is how they would be expected to live their lives. They would need to obey rules such as; "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 5:12) This is more commonly known as the "Golden Rule". "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Unfortunately, however, there are many people who do not like this rule and choose not to follow the instructions. There are many people who knowingly do things to others they would never want done to themselves. There are some people who actually find enjoyment in oppressing others. For example the fabulously wealthy; "He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress." (Hosea 12:7) And look at James 5:4, " Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth".

Doesn't this immoral and unprincipled behavior bother them, don't they feel guilt? 1Timothy 4:1-2 helps explain this; "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times (now) some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron". Their consciences have been seared (which means scorched, burned, or made callous--- Oxford English dictionary definition)." When you have a callous you lose feeling in the area where the callous is. Their consciences have lost feeling.

When we choose to be "willingly ignorant" of God and His Word and His instruction manual, Titus 1:15 ,says; "Unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled".

Below is a speech given by Darrell Scott. Although ten years old it is still as relevant today as the day it was given, very likely even more so. This speech shows the results of becoming "willingly ignorant" and 'immoral' and 'unprincipled' in the rejection of God from our lives and institutions.

The Columbine High School massacre occurred on Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School in Columbine, an unincorporated area in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States, near Denver and Littleton. Two students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, embarked on a massacre, killing 12 students and a teacher, injured 21 others, while 3 were injured while attempting to escape, before committing suicide. It is the deadliest high school massacre in United States history. -Wikipedia

"On May 27, 1999 Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

"They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good and evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. (National Rifle Association) I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,

Your words are empty air.

You've stripped away our heritage,

You've outlawed simple prayer.

Now gunshots fill our classrooms,

And precious children die.

You seek for answers everywhere,

And ask the question "Why?"

You regulate restrictive laws,

Through legislative creed.

And yet you fail to understand,

That God is what we need!

" Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries.. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

"My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"

"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea, -

Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free, -

Let us all be grateful for a land so fair, -

As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. " - -

God Bless America, -

Land that I love. -

Stand beside her, and guide her -

Thru the night with a light from above. -

From the mountains, to the prairies, -

To the oceans, white with foam -

God bless America, My home sweet home.

Concerning England we are including a brief introduction to the Magna Carta and its preamble. The Magna Carta is considered to be one of the most important legal charters written in English history. Once again it shows how the rulers of their time, specifically King John, acknowledged God in their undertakings.

***

Magna Carta, also called Magna Carta Libertatum (the Great Charter of Freedoms), is an English legal charter, originally issued in the year 1215. It was written in Latin; its name is usually translated into English as Great Charter.

Magna Carta implicitly supported what became the writ of habeas corpus, allowing appeal against unlawful imprisonment.

Magna Carta was arguably the most significant early influence on the extensive historical process that led to the rule of constitutional law today in the English speaking world. Magna Carta influenced the development of the common law and many constitutional documents, including the United States Constitution. -Wikapedia

"And Did Those Feet in Ancient Time" is a short poem by William Blake from the preface to his epic 'Milton': a poem. Today it is best known as the hymn "Jerusalem," with music written by Sir Hubert Parry in 1916.

The poem was inspired by the apocryphal story, that a young Jesus, accompanied by his uncle Joseph of Arimathea, travelled to the area that is now England and visited Glastonbury.

Since Jerusalem is considered to be England's most popular patriotic song, it has been used as an alternative national anthem, and there have even been calls to give it official status.[

The Hymn: "Jerusalem"

And did those feet in ancient time -

Walk upon England's mountains green? -

And was the holy Lamb of God -

On England's pleasant pastures seen? -

And did the Countenance Divine -

Shine forth upon our clouded hills? -

And was Jerusalem builded here -

Among those dark Satanic mills? - -

Bring me my bow of burning gold: -

Bring me my arrows of desire: -

Bring me my spear: O clouds, unfold! -

Bring me my chariot of fire! -

I will not cease from mental fight, -

Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand -

Till we have built Jerusalem -

In England's green and pleasant land

Can you imagine, a song about Jesus, was considered Englands most patriotic song!

The Flag of England is the St George's Cross. The red cross appeared as an emblem of England during the Middle Ages and the Crusades and is one of the earliest known emblems representing England. It achieved status as the national flag of England during the sixteenth century.

<

p>St George's Cross in the United States For centuries, it was carried by crusaders throughout Europe during the crusades. It has long been referred to as "God's Flag". This interpretation of the Flag of Saint George as "God's Flag" was carried to America by early members of the Church of England and Anglican community in early American history. Rather than representing English nationality, it was instead recognized in the United States as "God's Flag". Provisions have been made in the United States Code (US Flag Code as specified in 4 USC Title 7) for this flag to be the only flag allowed to fly higher and in a superior position to the US national flag in certain circumstances.

So, what happened? As Edmund Burke is reported to have said, 'All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing'. 2Thessalonians, chapter two ,verse three says; "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition".

Has there been a falling away which has allowed for massive inroads of the enemy and the soon coming rise of the Antichrist? The Bible says, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them". (Matthew 7:20) We are not talking here about churchianity but real Christianity---a falling away from real Christianity. As Darrell Scott, with the anointing of God pointed out, Christendom has fallen away, this is why Columbine occurred.

Satan never stops trying to advance his cause --rebellion against God. He wants to influence as many as he can to follow him. Satan is referred to as the "Master and prince of rebellious spirits" in'Arthur Edwards'book--The "Book of Black Magic" . A poem called "Hymn to Lucifer" written by Aleister Crowley, who has had an enormous influence on Rock music has a line that reads, "The Key of Joy is disobedience".

We wanted to end here now with this one verse. I Samuel 15:23: God's prophet Samuel had given Saul, King of Israel, specific instructions on how to conduct operations during a battle. Saul disobeyed and did not follow through on God's orders. Samuel then told Saul after he had disobeyed, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry". This entire idea of being "willingly ignorant" or 'immoral' or 'unprincipled' is summed up in that verse.

We are soon to see the rise of the Antichrist with the "Church" the called out ones, the body of believers, not the buildings, going through the Great Tribulation " to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end". (Daniel 11:35)

Are you ready? If not, your first step to getting ready is to make sure you are reconciled to God. You do this through Jesus. Jesus said; "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". (John 14:6)

You can come unto the Father through Jesus by praying a simple prayer: "Jesus, I know I have sinned and done wrong in my life, I acknowledge I need your forgiveness, I ask you to please come into my heart, forgive me for my sins, give me eternal life and help me to love You and others". If you have sincerely prayed this prayer you can rest assured you do now have eternal life.

We invite you to write us if you would like to understand more concerning your decision to receive Jesus as your Saviour. If you would like to contact one of our Christian mystics with a question or concern you may have, we also invite you to write us via the web site.

Until next week, God bless and keep you close to Him.
