“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

Augmented Reality Is Entering The House Of God

Churches are summoning virtual scriptures and holy figures

By Alejandro Alba

May 31, 2017 at 10:28 AM ET

Using your phone in a place of worship is typically looked down upon. But in a near future, religious patrons might be encouraged to take out their phones, point their camera at the Bible, and watch the story of the sermon unfold in real-time.

Augmented reality (AR) is a consumer tech trend that is picking up speed, with gadgets like Microsoft’s HoloLens and apps like Pokémon Go, and the technology is now entering the worship space, too. Religious institutions all over the world have started to experiment with AR capabilities. Some use it to enhance their weekly brochures or Christmas invitations and others offer tours of their worship temple.

The Turku Cathedral in Finland has a mobile app that uses AR to tell the story of the Protestant Reformation in Finland. Wordsmith, which was built as part of a marketing campaign promoting the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, allows visitors to aim their camera at specific areas of the cathedral and watch the events from the 16th century come to life on their phones.

One company, My Healthy Church, has started using AR apps to animate holy objects such as the bible and crucifixes. Its app Fire Bible for Kids can place cartoon characters onto the pages of the Bible, where they retell the story of Jesus and other religious figures. My Healthy Church distributes books to ministries, but mostly aims to have Fire Bible for Kids as an at-home experience.

AR being used in the church is not as farfetched an idea as it sounds. Some churches have long used technology such as screen projectors and PowerPoint presentations during mass and other services. Church leaders and community members have even started expressing interest in investing in AR, while others have already started brainstorming ideas and creating examples of how it would work.

Paul Amlin, director of youth ministry for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, imagines confirmation class instructors talking about apostle Paul’s journey through the Middle East and using AR to overlay buildings, streets and people that Paul encountered along the way. Amlin also sees congregations moving away from projection screens and immersing fully into “mixed reality,” with the use of both augmented and virtual reality.

“Can you foresee a day when congregations will use augmented reality to immerse worshipers in stories from Scripture? What if we were to go over the top and add scents and physical objects that connect thematically to the stories or to the sacraments?” Amlin posits in a Living Lutheran post. “OK, that may be over the top even for me—but isn’t it time we had the conversation?”

David Murrow, director of Church for Men a website that looks into the “man shortage” in the Christian faith, also believes that AR has a future with religion and it’ll help spread satellite churches across the world. A satellite church would work by hosting a real-time sermon or service at physical location, then live-streaming it to other locations via the Internet. For example, someone could be sitting at a church in Texas wearing Google Glasses or Facebook’s upcoming AR glasses and be watching the same sermon that’s happening at a church in New York City.

All of this is possible because it’s become easier to integrate AR technology, according to Azad Usmani, technical manager at app making website Appy Pie. To put an AR app, people can simply pick a particular object or image, and then assign a photo, PDF, song, or video to appear when someone points their camera phone at it. In the case of the church, it can be the bible, a statue, or a poster on the wall.

AR is still in its nascent stages, but if more communities keep experimenting with it, they’ll be able to change the way the church can engage people, according to Jay Kranda, online pastor at Saddleback Church and co-host of the Social Media Church podcast. Kranda, along with Nils Smith, innovation pastor at Community Bible Church in San Antonio, use their podcast to explore how the church can adopt technology, social media, and the Internet in order to tell better stories.

“I think for a church it’s going to lead to more powerful discipleship experiences, to more compelling weekend experiences, and outreach events,” Kranda said in the podcast’s mixed reality episode.

United Methodist Church Turns to Blasphemy, Forsakes The Bible; Ordains First ‘Non-binary Trans’ Deacon

By

Nate Brown

06.07.17

The United Methodist Church has reached a new low by ordaining a transgender individual who does not identify as a male of female. Confusion is of the devil, for God is not the author of confusion – how can a Christian congregation not understand that?

The Northern Illinois Conference commissioned M Barclay who personally identifies as a non-binary transgender individual. However, what the Methodist Church forgot to realize is that to be a Christian is to deny oneself, take up the cross, and follow God.

The very nature of not understanding ones own biological identity is confusion; thereby, the misunderstanding is of the devil, for God is not the author of confusion, but rather of Peace.

1 Corinthians 14:33

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as we see in all the Churches of the Saints.

As American Christians, we are facing the destruction of our congregations because of agenturs

Born Mary Ann Kaiser, Barclay first gained headlines in 2013 when the Board of Ordained Ministry for Southwest Texas Annual Conference denied her clergy candidacy for being in a same-sex relationship.

However, one year later, Barclay announced that she was undergoing a “gender transition” and began to use the plural pronouns of “they” and “their” instead of “she” and “her.”

Fast forward three years and now ‘it’ is a provisional deacon;

For so long, I’ve longed to be a pastoral presence in the world — and certainly you can do that without a collar — but we have ordination for a reason, and part of that is that I can publicly identify as a pastor now,” stated Barclay, as reported by United Methodist News Service.

I know it’s not particularly common in The United Methodist Church, but I intend to wear a collar every single day because for a person like me to navigate society in a collar provides some profound and urgently needed pastoral opportunities, particularly for queer and trans people.”

The Rev. John Bell, chair of the Northern Illinois BOOM, told The Christian Post in an interview last year that they wanted to follow the example of other Annual Conferences.

The policy was developed in response to similar policies being adopted by other Boards of Ordained Ministry in the Baltimore-Washington, New York and Pacific-Northwest Annual Conferences,” explained Bell in 2016.

We support their efforts on this issue and the efforts of those who are seeking to be ordained in the Northern Illinois Conference.”

The good news is that according to the Christian Post, there is some resistance to the trans and homosexual movement within their congregations. However, as the Christian Truther previously reported it takes 15 to 20 years to ideologically subvert a generation, meaning that the resistance will eventually die down, because of the generational switch that takes place.

On the other hand, the transgender agenda will take time to complete as culture attempts to sway our churches, but never shall they ever sway the Word of God for it is eternal. The Word of God is to be taken literally, and continually modern day Christian Churches deny the authority of the Word, thereby the churches are becoming cultural ‘new age christian’ centers rather than a place for sinners in need of repentance.

STUNNING! SENATE OKS U.S. EMBASSY IN JERUSALEM RESOLUTION 90-TO-0

Affirms 1995 law that calls for American facility to be in Israel's capital

Bob Unruh

June 8, 2017

The U.S. Senate, in an extremely rare moment of action without any opposition, has adopted a resolution calling on President Trump to abide by a 1995 law that calls for the U.S. Embassy to be in Jerusalem.

The vote actually was 90-0, with Sens. Michael Bennet of Colorado, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Tammy Duckworth of Illinois, Jeff Flake of Arizona, Bob Menendez of New Jersey, Jeff Merkley of Oregon, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania –– an assortment of both Republicans and Democrats –– not voting.

While the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 calls for the move to Jerusalem, which would be seen worldwide as a resounding affirmation of Israel’s link to, presence in and responsibility for Jerusalem, it also provides for six-month waivers that presidents could use if they felt that politically they should not make the move.

That waiver has been used by both Democrats and Republicans ever since, including President Trump just days ago.

However, at the time he renewed his commitment to moving the Embassy, he just said it would not happen right now.

So while the call for the law to be followed is seen by many as a call for the establishment of the Embassy in Jerusalem, technically it simply states that the law should be followed.

Now the senators, on a 90-0 vote, commemorated the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem by adopting S. Res. 176.

This marks the 50th year since the city was reunified under Israel management in the Six-Day War, and it notes the continuous Jewish presence in the city for three millennia.

“Be it resolved, that the Senate (1) recognizes the 50th Anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem and extends its friendship and hopes for peace to the residents of Jerusalem and the people of Israel; (2) reaffirms its support for Israel’s commitment to religious freedom and administration of holy sites in Jerusalem; (3) continues to support strengthening the mutually beneficial American-Israeli relationship; (4) commends Egypt and Jordan, former combatant states of the Six Day War, who in subsequent years embraced a vision of peace and coexistence with Israel and have continued to uphold their respective peace agreements; (5) reaffirms that it is the longstanding, bipartisan policy of the United States Government that the permanent status of Jerusalem remains a matter to be decided between the parties through final status negotiations towards a two-state solution; and (6) reaffirms the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 (Public Law 104–45) as United States law, and calls upon the President and all United States officials to abide by its provisions.”

The resolution notes that for 3,000 years, there has been a continuous Jewish presence in Jerusalem, and it has been Judaism’s holiest city and the focal point of Jewish religious devotion.

It’s also been a holy city for Christians and Muslims more recently, Christians for about 2,000 years and Muslims since Islam was created seven or eight centuries later.

WND reported only days ago when Trump, following a provision of the 1995 law, signed a waiver delaying the creation of a Jerusalem Embassy for another six months.

Netanyahu said he was disappointed that the U.S. Embassy, now in Tel Aviv, will not move to Jerusalem immediately. But he’s grateful that President Trump has committed to doing exactly that in the future.

“Though Israel is disappointed that the embassy will not move at this time, we appreciate today’s expression of President Trump’s friendship to Israel and his commitment to moving the Embassy in the future,” a statement from Netanyahu’s office said.

“Maintaining embassies outside the capital drives peace further away by helping keep alive the Palestinian fantasy that the Jewish people and the Jewish state have no connection to Jerusalem,” he said.

Israel, he said, believes “that the American Embassy, like the embassies of all countries with whom we have diplomatic relations, should be in Jerusalem, our eternal capital.”

While President Trump signed a waiver to an existing U.S. law putting the Embassy in Jerusalem, meaning it won’t move there for the next six months, he said that result will happen eventually.

A statement posted on the White House website, when he signed the document delaying for at least six months any move, said, “No one should consider this step to be in any way a retreat from the president’s strong support for Israel and for the United States-Israel alliance. President Trump made this decision to maximize the chances of successfully negotiating a deal between Israel and the Palestinians, fulfilling his solemn obligation to defend America’s national security interests. But, as he has repeatedly stated his intention to move the embassy, the question is not if that move happens, but only when.”

Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama all had used such waivers.

On October 23, 1995, Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and requiring the U.S. Embassy to be moved there by May 31, 1999. The law passed the Senate by 93-5 and the House by 374-37. Yet the law was never implemented because of opposition from former Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama. Each president took advantage of a waiver provision in the Jerusalem Embassy Act, enabling them to certify, every six months, that it is not yet time to move the U.S. Embassy.

The move by Trump brought disappointment to the large constituency of voters who identify as evangelical Christians who support Israel.

Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America, immediately released a statemet: “CWA’s members are very disappointed that the president chose to sign the waiver in direct contradiction to his campaign promise to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. In 1967, Arab armies declared war on Israel. Until that time, Jordan had occupied east Jerusalem for 20 years, destroyed most synagogues, and did not allow religious freedom. Israel won the 1967 war and liberated east Jerusalem, thus re-uniting their ancient, 3,000-year-old capital. Under the Israelis, Muslims, Christians, and Jews enjoy religious freedom.”

She pointed out, “Israel is the only country in the world that does not have the U.S. Embassy in its own designated capital. It’s an unjust anomaly. We believe it is a mistake to tie the U.S. Embassy move to any possible peace agreement, since Palestinians remain unwilling to negotiate directly with Israel.”

The bottom line, she explained, is this: “In my presence, both U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S., Ron Dermer, said the move is 50 years overdue. (The 1967 Six-Day War gave Israel the old city.) Eight-one percent of evangelicals voted for President Trump, and the vast majority also support the Jerusalem Embassy Act. In December we will once again ask the president to keep his word when this waiver expires.”

Mat Staver, chief of Liberty Counsel, had encouraged Trump to simply leave the law alone, which would then require the move.

Just before the decision by Trump, he explained, “Congress signed the Jerusalem Embassy Act in 1999. Eighteen years waiting is more than enough. It is beyond time for the United States to move the Embassy to Jerusalem. To not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel contradicts the Bible, history, present-day reality, and is anti-Semitic.”

Eugene Kontorovich wrote at the Volokh Conspiracy blog that while the decision to sign a waiver at this point certainly is a disappointment for Trump supporters, “it will not be the end of the show.”

“He will have seven more waivers ahead, with mounting pressure as his term progresses. Under Obama, speculation focused on what actions he would take or allow against Israel (and even these waited until very late in his second term).”

He explained the waiver “does not waive the obligation to move the embassy. That policy has been fully adopted by Congress in the Act (sec. 3(a)(3)) and is not waiveable. Of course, Congress cannot simply order the president to implement such a move, especially given his core constitutional power over diplomatic relations.”

WND reported last month when Christian leaders representing 60 million members of the faith across America sent the president a letter asking him to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to the country’s capital, Jerusalem.

The non-profit Liberty Counsel reports the letter called for the move – which was directed by Congress in 1995 – to be made “at long last.”

The letter, signed by about five dozen Christian leaders, stated, “The time has come, at long last, to uphold American law by moving the U.S. Embassy to Israel’s eternal indivisible capital city of Jerusalem.”

“The Republican National Convention’s official 2016 platform rightly stated, ‘We recognize Jerusalem as the eternal and indivisible capital of the Jewish state and call for the American embassy to be moved there in fulfillment of U.S. law. Moreover, we were honored and grateful that you pledged to specifically uphold this policy in response to a request from the American Christian Leaders for Israel coalition during your campaign. Many of our constituents cast their vote for you due to this commitment,'” the letter said.

Kill female soldiers’: Israel police probe anti-draft fliers in Ultra-Orthodox area of Jerusalem

1 June 2017

Israeli authorities have launched a probe into posters calling for the killing of female soldiers and IDF commanders who draft ultra-Orthodox Haredi Jews to the army, local media report.

The fliers were reportedly distributed in Mea Shearim, one of the oldest Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem populated mostly by Haredi Jews. Haredi is a collective notion for groups of ultra-Orthodox Jews who consider themselves most religiously authentic and reject modern secular culture.

Written in Hebrew, the flier lays out instructions to Haredi youth who are drafted into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

“If they [IDF] take you by force to the army of destruction, you are permitted and must do all of the following things. Take the rifle you have received, kill every female soldier next to you and give her the privilege of killing her rather than letting her transgress,” the flier said, as translated by Ynetnews.

“Kill every commander who keeps you by force; kill every recruiter, his seducer and accomplice. Kill yourself out of a decree to not transgress,” the message adds.

The fliers have caught the attention of police, who said that they had applied for the State Attorney's Office to launch an investigation. Police, however, haven’t confirmed the authenticity of the fliers yet.

"With the approval to open an investigation due to the seriousness of the things that were written and publicized, Jerusalem’s local commander instructed the central unit to launch an investigation,” a police statement said, as cited by Ynetnews.

On Thursday the IDF Spokesman's Office issued a statementcondemning the leaflets, Arutz Sheva network reported.

“The call to kill soldiers and commanders in the IDF is serious incitement and crosses a red line. The IDF will continue to carry out its missions out of a commitment to the security of the state of Israel and its citizens.”

People on social media have reacted with anger to the controversial fliers, calling them “sick” and “disgusting.”

“Unbelievable Israel... Your own Jewish people,” one person wrote, while another added: “Disgusting! 'Thou shalt not kill' - it is one of the Ten Commandments, what is wrong with these people, what religion do they observe?”

Radical Haredi have recently launched a campaign against Haredi men serving in the IDF, saying that Israeli authorities are trying to eradicate their religious identity, according to the Jerusalem Post newspaper.

These anti-IDF campaigns include mass protests, blocking traffic and demonstrations in front of the houses of IDF senior officials. The activists distribute fliers, posters, pamphlets and other forms of written material, calling on Haredis not to serve in the army.

The most recent protest took place in May before the Shavuot festival in Jerusalem’s Haredi Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood when several Haredi radicals attacked Haredi men in IDF uniforms.

A Ban on Human/Animal Hybrids Has Been Lifted

The National Institute of Health recently lifted a moratorium on the creation of human/animal hybrids, which are known as chimeras. While meddling human and animal DNA could have the capacity to help with things like organ transplants and disease research, many people seem to be taking issue with the nebulous ethics surrounding chimera creation.

No Longer a Conspiracy Theory: Elite Openly Paying to Ingest the Blood of the Young

By Matt Agorist

June 5, 2017

Once the talk of conspiracy theorists — the rich ingesting the blood of the young to foster longevity — is now a reality and an actual business in the United States. Not only is it a business but billionaires are actually admitting their interest in it.

“I’m looking into parabiosis stuff, which I think is really interesting. This is where they did the young blood into older mice and they found that had a massive rejuvenating effect,” Peter Thiel, the billionaire co-founder of PayPal and adviser to Donald Trump told Inc. magazine. “I think there are a lot of these things that have been strangely under-explored.”

But it’s no longer an experiment with just mice. The startup company by Jesse Karmazin, Ambrosia, is doing this with humans, and the rich are lining up to get the blood of the young.

As Vanity Fair reports, Ambrosia, which buys its blood from blood banks, now has about 100 paying customers. Some are Silicon Valley technologists, like Thiel, though Karmazin stressed that tech types aren’t Ambrosia’s only clients and that anyone over 35 is eligible for its transfusions.

As The Free Thought Project reported in January, a study published in Science and Nature Medicine revealed that transfusing young mouse blood into old mice can actually prevent the symptoms of aging. This groundbreaking discovery could lead to medical breakthroughs and the development of new medicines. However, a report from the Vice health news outlet “Tonic” has pointed out far more sinister applications for this knowledge.

It was suggested in the report that aging elites are using the blood of young people as a type of youth serum. Now, we know that they actually are using it.

A similar claim was made by journalist Jeff Bercovici last year, after he conducted several interviews with Silicon Valley aristocrats including Peter Thiel, and learned about this transfusion procedure called “parabiosis,” where the blood of young people is used to prevent aging.

“There are widespread rumors in Silicon Valley, where life-extension science is a popular obsession, that various wealthy individuals from the tech world have already begun practicing parabiosis, spending tens of thousands of dollars for the procedures and young-person-blood, and repeating the exercise several times a year,” Bercovici reported.

In his article, Bercovici also expressed concerns about a developing black market for young people’s blood.

While there is certainly nothing wrong with willing young adults selling their blood to the elite, the underlying theme of this practice has strong roots in the occult.

In most modern cultures, mass murder and human sacrifice still takes place out in the open under the cover of warfare, while many argue that cannibalism also still takes place but behind closed doors.

It is only in the past few hundred years that the practice of cannibalism among royals has not been publicized. In Europe, around the time of the American Revolution “corpse medicine” was very popular among the ruling class, Charles II even brewed his own.

Dr Richard Sugg of Durham University has conducted extensive research into the practice of corpse medicine among the royalty.

“The human body has been widely used as a therapeutic agent with the most popular treatments involving flesh, bone or blood. Cannibalism was found not only in the New World, as often believed, but also in Europe,” Sugg said.

“One thing we are rarely taught at school yet is evidenced in literary and historic texts of the time is this: James I refused corpse medicine; Charles II made his own corpse medicine; and Charles I was made into corpse medicine. Along with Charles II, eminent users or prescribers included Francis I, Elizabeth I’s surgeon John Banister, Elizabeth Grey, Countess of Kent, Robert Boyle, Thomas Willis, William III, and Queen Mary,” he added.

If this wasn’t strange enough, the current royal family of England claims to be direct descendants of Prince Vlad III Dracula of Wallachia (modern Romania). This was the sick and depraved ruler, Vlad the Impaler, who was known as a butcher and who eventually became the inspiration for the most famous vampire stories in history.

Aside from the gruesome historical and occult background of such practices, there is a lack of data that suggests the process even works. Despite Karmazin’s claims that “young blood is causing changes that appear to make the aging process reverse,” scientists have yet to identify a link between blood transfusions from the young and any tangible health benefits.

“There‘s just no clinical evidence [that the treatment will be beneficial], and you‘re basically abusing people‘s trust and the public excitement around this,” Stanford University neuroscientist Tony Wyss-Coray, who conducted a 2014 study of young blood plasma in mice, told Science magazine last summer, as reported by Vanity Fair.

(“Apparently in the last days men will become like animals, brute beasts devouring each other to stay alive, like those mothers in the Bible who ate their own children to save themselves from starvation during siege and famine! Perverted reprobate anti-God man will stoop to anything, any horror, any atrocity, any cruelty, any perversion to please and save himself in those last days, while trying to make it look like it's all right, humane, scientific, palatable and acceptable to even drink dry the warm living blood of another human being straight from their body and thus selfishly surviving by bringing about another's death.
What an awful horrible thought! I never like to dwell on things like perverted and atrocious cruel inhumane behaviour. I never liked stories about the blood-and-guts violence of war and crime and disasters or even sports. But apparently the violence-loving, blood-lusting, destruction-crazed, war-mad, scientifically-insane, monstrous man of the future is going to stoop to anything to destroy and kill and get what he wants, while trying to hypocritically justify his actions and make it sound scientific and humane even as he does today.

So for god's sake and your own sake, be ready for the awful things that are about to come upon the Earth on the wicked world. You must be prepared for them and not even shocked by the very worst of man's monstrous bestiality. "For our lives are hid with Christ in God" and "Thou shall keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee because he trusteth in Thee." "For God hath not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." "For perfect love casts out all fear."--His love, God's love, Christ's love, your love, our love, real love, the love of God. Hallelujah! For God is love and love is God, so "above all brethren, have fervent love one for another" that you may be saved!)(Col.3:3; Isa.26:3; 2Tim.1:7; 1Jn.4:8; 1Pe.4:8) September 1975 David Berg

THE SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCE OF A PIRATE HAVEN

Bill Federer recounts enormous event which destroyed 'wickedest city in the world'

June 7, 2017

Port Royal, Jamaica, 1692

Spain laid claim to the island of Jamaica from the time Columbus landed there in 1494. In 1503, Columbus was shipwrecked there for a year. In 1655, Jamaica was captured by British Admiral William Penn, father of Pennsylvania’s founder. Jamaica was too far from England to defend, so the inhabitants turned to privateers, freebooters, buccaneers and pirates for protection.

The likes of Blackbeard, Calico Jack and Captain Henry Morgan, namesake of the rum, attacked Spanish ships and settlements, then returned to Jamaica with their booty. The skull pirate flag, called the “Jolly Roger,” was adapted from the flag of the Muslim Barbary pirates who raided ships and beheaded with their scimitar swords.

On the island of Jamaica’s sandy southeast coast, the city of Port Royal grew to surpass Boston as England’s most prosperous New World settlement. Many of the Caribbean’s thousand pirates and smugglers operated from there, with half of the 200 ships a year passing through the harbor transporting slaves, liquor, and other contraband trade to Spanish America.

Drinking, gaming houses, slave trading, brothels, taverns and grog shops, attracted “pirates, cutthroats, whores and some of the vilest persons in the whole of the world.” Port Royal was called “the richest and wickedest city in the world” or “the Sodom of the New World.”

Suddenly, June 7, 1692, an earthquake and tsunami sank Port Royal under the sea, followed by violent aftershocks. Over 2,000 drowned. Graves were opened and bodies washed about.

The sea inundated the town’s wharf, “with all those goodly brick houses upon it … and two entire streets beyond that.” Enormous waves tossed ships from the harbor into buildings, and in many places the ground opened up and “swallow’d up multitudes of people together.”

Members of the Jamaica Council declared: “We are become … an instance of God Almighty’s severe judgment,” therefore every future “seventh of June … be kept and observed by all the inhabitants of this Island, as an anniversary day of fasting and humiliation,” in hopes that acknowledging “manifold sins and wickednesses committed against his Divine Majesty,” may “appease God’s imminent wrath and prevent heavier judgements.”

A Quaker resident, John Pike, wrote June 19, 1692: “Ah brother! If thou didst see those great persons that are now dead upon the water thou couldst never forget it. Great men who were so swallowed up with pride, that a man could not be admitted to speak with them, and women whose top-knots seemed to reach the clouds, now lie stinking upon the water, and are made meat for fish and fowls of the air.”

Eyewitness Rev. Emmanuel Heath, the Anglican rector for Port Royal, had finished his morning prayer service at St Paul’s Church and was meeting with John White, president of the island’s council, when the floor began “rowling and moving” and they “heard the church and tower fall.”

Rev. Heath wrote: “Port Royal was terribly destroyed by an earthquake and breaking in of the sea upon it. The destruction was sudden … in four minutes multitudes were killed by the falling houses. … I believe God I never in my life saw such a terror … the earth opened and swallowed up people before my face. … The sea swallowed up the greatest part of that wretched sinful place. … They are so wicked, I fear God … will utterly destroy all by this dreadful Judgment. … By this terrible judgment, God will make them reform their lives, for there was not a more ungodly people on the face of the earth.”

A resident, Samuel Bernard, wrote: “We shall be unworthy of God’s mercies if we be not by His judgments taught to learn righteousness.”

Rev. John Shower wrote in his “Practical Reflections on the late Earthquakes in Jamaica,” 1693: “It is dreadful to think … how Atheism, and Infidelity prevails, and barefac’d Deism, with the Rejection of Christianity, and all Revealed Religion. … If you do not truly Repent, so as to hate Sin, and leave it, and turn to the Lord; if you do not unfeignedly give up Yourselves to God in Christ, as your Saviour, and Sovereign, your Judgment is near, your Destruction is at hand, you must Perish; and that more dreadfully, than most others in the World.”

In September of 1860, Jamaica was visited with a tremendous revival, as documented in Dr. J. Edwin Orr’s book, “The Event of the Century: The 1857-1858 Awakening.” Moravian missionary Rev. Theodor Sonderman recorded that the revival began in St. Elizabeth Parish and spread to Montego Bay, Bethel Town, Spanish Town, Clarendon and Kingston.

Fervency in prayer was accompanied by trembling, crying out to the Lord, weeping, and repentance. One morning prayer meeting drew 500 people. Baptists reported over 6,000 baptized. United Presbyterian Church reported 4,000 new members, calling it “the most remarkable and encouraging (news) that have ever come from Jamaica.”

Churches were crowded to overflowing with membership roles exploding. Crime subsided, gambling houses closed, superstitions were abandoned, and cohabiting couples were married. Congregationalist considered the Island completely evangelized. The Wesleyan Methodist Churches reported thousands of new members with sinners wailing and “strong crying with tears.”

Iran's Revolutionary Guards blame Saudis for Tehran attacks, Riyadh rejects accusation

7 June, 2017

© ReutersSmoke is seen during a gunmen attack at the parliament's building in central Tehran, Iran, June 7, 2017 © Reuters

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have accused Saudi Arabia of masterminding the deadly attacks in Tehran on Wednesday, a claim which Riyadh has denied. Islamic State previously claimed responsibility for the attacks which killed at least 12 people.

"This terrorist attack happened only a week after the meeting between the U.S. president (Donald Trump) and the (Saudi) backward leaders who support terrorists. The fact that Islamic State has claimed responsibility proves that they were involved in the brutal attack," said the statement, as quoted by Reuters.

Saudi Arabia's foreign minister, Adel Al-Jubeir, has denied that Riyadh was involved in the attacks.

"We condemn terrorist attacks anywhere they occur and we condemn the killing of the innocent anywhere it occurs," Jubeir said, as quoted by Reuters.

He went on to state that there is no evidence to implicate Saudi Arabia in the attacks, and that Riyadh has no knowledge of who was responsible.

"We don’t know this. We haven’t seen the evidence," he said, reiterating Riyadh's position that Iran is the primary sponsor of terrorism around the world.

Earlier, Brigadier General Hossein Salami, IRGC deputy commander, said that Iran will "take revenge"for the attacks.

“Let there be no doubt that we will take revenge for today's attacks in Tehran, on terrorists, their affiliates and their supporters,” he said, as cited by the news agency Mehr.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the attacks will make the country more united.

"Today's terrorist attacks in Tehran will make the Islamic Republic of Iran more determined in the fight against regional terrorism, extremism and violence," he said in a statement published by ISNA news agency.

"We will prove once again that we will crush the enemies' plots with more unity and more strength."

Twelve people were reported killed and 43 injured in gun and bomb attacks in the Iranian capital. The perpetrators targeted the Iranian parliament and Ayatollah Khomeini’s shrine.

Both attacks were claimed by Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), the jihadist organization based in Iraq and Syria. Iran supports both countries in their fight against IS.

IS also threatened Iran's majority Shiite population with more attacks, saying "the caliphate will not miss a chance to spill their blood" until Sharia law is implemented, Reuters reported.

The attacks in Tehran were the first that IS had claimed responsibility for in the Shiite Islamic republic.

The timing of the attacks, shortly after a presidential election in Iran, may indicate that the perpetrators want to cast doubt on the decision of the Iranian people to give President Hassan Rouhani a second term, Middle East expert Catherine Shakdam told RT.

“Iran has just conducted quite successfully its presidential election. Everything went according to plan, it was peaceful, it was progressive,” she said.

“There is a clear desire to drive a narrative of fear and to make people have a sense of insecurity and doubt their officials and how they can protect their own borders.”

Saudi, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt cut ties with Qatar

June 5, 2017

Saudi King Salman, left, talks to Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in this undated photo. Riyadh took the lead on Monday to sever relations with Doha.

Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have cut diplomatic ties and all land sea and air contacts with Qatar, accusing the Persian Gulf country of supporting terrorism and interfering in their internal affairs.

Riyadh took the lead on Monday to sever relations and other countries fell in line after an official source said the kingdom "urges all brotherly countries and companies to do the same."

A Saudi official cited by SPA said the country decided to "sever diplomatic and consular ties with Qatar, and to close all land, sea and aviation ports" in order to "protect its national security from the dangers of terrorism and extremism."

The "decisive" measure, the Saudi statement said, was due to "gross violations committed by authorities in Qatar over the past years."

The United Arab Emirates gave Qatari diplomats 48 hours to leave the country, citing their "support, funding and embrace of terrorist, extremist and sectarian organizations," state news agency WAM reported.

Bahrain news agency said the tiny kingdom was cutting ties with Doha over its insistence on "shaking the security and stability of Bahrain and meddling in its affairs."

Egypt accused Qatar of supporting "terrorist" organizations, including the Muslim Brotherhood which it has been cracking down on since the 2013 coup against the country’s first ever democratically-elected leader, Mohamed Morsi.

Meanwhile, a Saudi "coalition" waging a war in Yemen said it was ending Qatar's membership. The measure, it said, was due to Doha's "practices that strengthen terrorism, and its support to organizations in Yemen, including al-Qaeda and Daesh, as well as dealing with the rebel militias."

Qatar regretted the decision, saying "the measures are unjustified and are based on claims and allegations that have no basis in fact." Doha-based Al Jazeera TV quoted Foreign Ministry as saying that the decisions would "not affect the normal lives of citizens and residents."

Pakistan, another member of the "coalition" which has recently tried to distance itself from the Saudi group's anti-Iran agenda, made it clear that the country had no plans to cut diplomatic ties with Qatar.

Trump factor

The crisis follows US President Donald Trump’s visit to the region last month, marked by the signing of a record $110-billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said the visit was aimed at getting Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations in the region to stand in “unity” with Israel and confront Iran.

After Trump's visit, tensions escalated between Riyadh and Doha because of an article in Qatar's state-run news agency in which the emir was quoted as criticizing the US, Saudi Arabia, and their client states for attempting to stir up tensions with “Islamic power” Iran.

The Qatari government quickly deleted the comments, saying the state agency had been hacked but the official denial failed to stop the rift between the Persian Gulf Arab countries from widening.

Saudi media then viciously attacked Qatar, accusing it of having “betrayed” the other Arab countries particularly at a time when they had attempted to stage a show of “unity” against Iran in a much-publicized and extravagant series of events in Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates also blocked Qatari websites and broadcasters. Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani later said the country was being targeted in a “hostile media campaign, which we will confront.”

Qatar, home to the forward headquarters of the US military's Central Command and some 10,000 American troops, long has faced criticism from its Arab neighbors over its support of the Muslim Brotherhood which has another admirer in Turkey.

Western officials have also accused Qatar of allowing or even encouraging funding of Takfiri extremists like al-Qaeda's branch in Syria, once known as the Nusra Front. Saudi Arabia and the UAE similarly stand accused of supporting other Takfiri groups and the escalation exposes an underlying bitter rivalry among the neighbors for influence.

Former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh was quoted as saying that the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Qatar is rooted in "accumulated differences from the past even though both countries are followers of the Wahhabi school."

Wahhabism is the radical ideology dominating Saudi Arabia, which is freely preached by government-backed clerics there and inspiring terrorist groups such as Daesh and al-Qaeda.

Underlying rivalry

Recent reports have suggested Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were divided over their role in Yemen on which they have been waging a deadly war for more than two years now.

In a recent interview with Middle East Eye online news portal, Saudi-backed former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi accused the UAE of acting “like an occupation power in Yemen rather than a force of liberation.”

Yemeni sources have revealed that the United Arab Emirates was trying to establish control over the strategic island of Socotra in the Arabian Sea, which Hadi had rented out to the country for nearly a century.

Tensions have taken a turn for worse under Saudi Arabia's new rulers who have adopted an aggressive policy, waging a destructive war on Yemen, severing relations with Iran and assisting militants in Iraq and Syria to topple their governments.

PUTIN: IF THE DEEP STATE CAN KILL JFK, THEY CAN FRAME RUSSIA FOR HACKS

"There's a theory that Kennedy's assassination was arranged by the United States Intelligence services."

JUNE 5, 2017

Russian President Vladimir Putin told Megyn Kelly in an interview aired Sunday that if the deep state could kill John F Kennedy, they can frame Russia for hacking attacks.

“There’s a theory that Kennedy’s assassination was arranged by the United States Intelligence services,” Putin said. “So if this theory is correct — and that can’t be ruled out — then what could be easier, in this day and age, than using all the technical means at the disposal of the intelligence services, and using those means to organize some attacks, and then pointing the finger at Russia?”

Theresa May: Internet must be regulated to prevent terrorism

by Charles Riley

June 4, 2017

Prime Minister Theresa May has called for closer regulation of the internet following a deadly terror attack in London.

At least seven people were killed in a short but violent assault that unfolded late Saturday night in the heart of the capital, the third such attack to hit Britain this year.

May said on Sunday that a new approach to tackling extremism is required, including changes that would deny terrorists and extremist sympathizers digital tools used to communicate and plan attacks.

"We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed," May said. "Yet that is precisely what the internet and the big companies that provide internet-based services provide."

"We need to work with allied democratic governments to reach international agreements that regulate cyberspace to prevent the spread of extremist and terrorism planning," she continued. "We need to do everything we can at home to reduce the risks of extremism online."

May's call for new internet regulations was part of a larger strategy to combat terror, including what she described as "far too much tolerance of extremism in our country."

The attack comes as tech giants come under increased pressure in Europe over their policing of violent and hate speech.

Europe's top regulator released data last week that showed that Twitter (TWTR, Tech30) has failed to take down a majority of hate speech posts after they had been flagged. Facebook (FB, Tech30) and YouTube fared better, removing 66% of reported hate speech.

In the U.K., a parliamentary committee report published last month alleged that social media firms have prioritized profit over user safety by continuing to host unlawful content. The report also called for "meaningful fines" if the companies do not quickly improve.

"The biggest and richest social media companies are shamefully far from taking sufficient action to tackle illegal and dangerous content," the report said. "Given their immense size, resources and global reach, it is completely irresponsible of them to fail to abide by the law."

Forty-eight people were injured in Saturday's attack on London Bridge and Borough Market. Police officers pursued and shot dead three attackers within eight minutes of the first emergency call, London police said.

Where Does the Carbon Dioxide Really Come From?
PLIMER: "Okay, here's the bombshell. The recent volcanic eruption in Iceland. Since its first spewing of volcanic ash has, in just FOUR DAYS, NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT you have made in the past five years to control CO2 emissions on our planet - all of you.
Of course, you know about this evil carbon dioxide that we are trying to suppress - it's that vital chemical compound that every plant requires to live and grow and to synthesize into oxygen for us humans and all animal life.
I know....it's very disheartening to realize that all of the carbon emission savings you have accomplished while suffering the inconvenience and expense of driving Prius hybrids, buying fabric grocery bags, sitting up till midnight to finish your kids "The Green Revolution" science project, throwing out all of your non-green cleaning supplies, using only two squares of toilet paper, putting a brick in your toilet tank reservoir, selling your SUV and speedboat, vacationing at home instead of abroad, nearly getting hit every day on your bicycle, replacing all of your 50p light bulbs with £5 light bulbs ..... well, all of those things you have done have all gone down the tubes in just four days.
The volcanic ash emitted into the Earth's atmosphere in just four days - yes, FOUR DAYS - by that volcano in Iceland has totally erased every single effort you have made to reduce the evil beast, carbon. And there are around 200 active volcanoes on the planet spewing out this crud at any one time - EVERY DAY.
I don't really want to rain on your parade too much, but I should mention that when the volcano Mt. Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in 1991, it spewed out more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than the entire human race had emitted in all its years on earth.
Yes, folks, Mt. Pinatubo was active for over one year - think about it!!!!
Of course, I shouldn't spoil this 'touchy-feely tree-hugging' moment and mention the effect of solar and cosmic activity and the well-recognized 800-year global heating and cooling cycle, which keeps happening despite our completely insignificant efforts to affect climate change.
And I do wish I had a silver lining to this volcanic ash cloud, but the fact of the matter is that the bush fire season across the western USA and Australia this year alone will negate your efforts to reduce carbon in our world for the next two to three years. And it happens every year.
Just remember that your government just tried to impose a whopping carbon tax on you, on the basis of the bogus 'human-caused' climate-change
scenario.
Hey, isn't it interesting how they don't mention 'Global Warming' anymore, but just 'Climate Change' - you know why? It's because the planet has COOLED by 0.7 degrees in the past few years and these global warming bull artists got caught with their pants down.
And, just keep in mind that you might yet have an Emissions Trading Scheme - that whopping new tax - imposed on you that will achieve absolutely nothing except make you poorer. It won't stop any volcanoes from erupting, that's for sure.
But, hey, relax......give the world a hug and have a nice day!"

New Beef Ban Would Cause Massive Economic Damage in India and Send a Hateful Message to Its Muslims

More than 42 percent of the Indian population are Dalits, Muslims, Adivasis, Christians and Sikhs. None are put off by the consumption of meat.

By Vijay Prashad / AlterNet June 1, 2017, 7:10 AM GMT

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, signed a new rule against the slaughter of cattle and the eating of beef (Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Regulation of Livestock Market, Rules 2017). It is highly unlikely that these rules were framed to protect animals. The original act—the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960—permits the humane slaughter of animals for food. The new rule goes against the letter of the original act, and does so for religious and mischievous reasons rather than on ethical grounds for the sake of the animals.

The order came just before the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Muslim families who fast during the day often eat meat late in the evening. Given the predisposition of this government and its parent organization—the fascistic RSS—it is more than likely that the order came on the heels of Ramadan to send a message to India’s 120 million Muslims.

But of course the majority of Indians have no moral problem with the consumption of beef or any other kind of meat, says Indian journalist P. Sainath. A look at the most recent Census shows that more than 42 percent of the Indian population are Dalits, Muslims, Adivasis, Christians and Sikhs. None of these populations are particularly put off by the consumption of meat, with some of these populations reliant upon beef in their diet. If you add in the tens of millions of Hindus in states such as Kerala, Goa and Manipur who eat beef, then the numbers inch up to half the population. "How little we know about beef and the role of beef in our society," Sainath tells me.

The order from Modi not only impacts those who eat beef, but also will have a detrimental impact on the leather industry and the meat producers (who not only provide for the domestic market, but also for overseas markets). The leather industry is valued at $17.8 billion and takes care of almost all of India’s footwear needs and provides raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry.

The beef ban, which has been in effect in several states already, has had an impact on livestock holdings. Farmers no longer want to own cattle, afraid that when the animals age there will be no resale value for them. The livestock census shows that those states with bans on cow slaughter have seen a decline in livestock. Those states with no decline on cow slaughter, on the other hand, have seen their numbers of cows either remain the same or rise. As P. Sainath told me, "The cow slaughter ban is anti-cow."

Sainath knows a great deal about cows. He has been studying the social impact of changes in rural India for over 30 years. In his first major book, Everybody Loves a Good Drought (1996), Sainath tells the story of how rural development specialists attempted to bring in foreign cows to replace Indian cows in the Kalahandi district of Odisha. In the attempt to provide relief to the rural areas, the well-meaning but deluded development specialists castrated the local Khariar bulls and left the locals worse off than before. "I have five cows and I buy milk daily from the market," Bishwamber Joshi told Sainath.

Concern for the cow, the bull and the buffalo has rarely been central in India. Even those sections of the hard right that are eager to demonstrate their religious piety toward the cow do not often know what they are doing. Shelters for cows they capture are poorly run. News reports frequently appear of cows dying in large numbers in these shelters (gaushalas).

Over the course of this year, cow vigilante groups have lynched people who seem to be taking cows to the slaughterhouse. Brutality against these poor men and women, often Muslims or Dalits, has been captured on cellphone videos. It initially startled the public, but now, like so much of this kind of violence, has ceased to provoke revulsion. Meanwhile, the cows who were being led to market or to the slaughterhouse disappear from the story. What happens to them? It is not relevant. What is relevant is that the men who do the violence focus more on those vulnerable men and women than on the purported focus of their attention: the cow.

The government’s decision to push the beef ban in the context of these lynchings only emboldens such vigilante violence. It means that the government gives immunity to such actions; in fact, encourages them in future. It also shows such vigilante groups that the government is on their side and does not see their actions as outside the bounds of democratic society.

From Kerala, where the Left Democratic Front government has just completed its first year, the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote a letter to the Indian Prime Minister. Vijayan, a leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), posted this letter on his Facebook page. Meat, wrote Vijayan, "is the primary source of protein for millions of poor and ordinary people in this country"— 780 million of whom live in deprivation. "People of all faiths consume meat in our country, not just the minorities. Once the prohibition comes into effect," he continued, "it will not only deprive them of adequate nutrition, but also prevent the availability of raw material for the leather industry." These orders, he wrote, "prove to be a challenge in upholding our plurality, the essence of our nation."

Left activists, led by the Students Federation of India (SFI), held beef festivals, where they cooked beef and then shared their food in public. In Kerala, these festivals went by largely without any tension. In Bangalore, the hard right came to challenge the students, who were all arrested. In Chennai, one student, Sooraj, was badly beaten by supporters of the hard right at the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras). These activists, led by the students, are making a public declaration that they all resist the government’s orders.

The Kerala State Secretary of the SFI, M. Vijin, said that the government "should be concerned about whether people have enough nutritious food to eat. Are they bringing this rule to remove poverty in Indian villages?" He points his finger toward the depleted agricultural system in the country and to the grave problems of starvation. But Vijin is also concerned about the rights of people and the growing vigilante power in the country. "We will not allow this fascism to invade our kitchens," Vijin says.

Germany plans to introduce fines of $2,800 for parents who refuse to get their children vaccinated

Thursday, June 01, 2017 by: Tracey Watson

(Natural News) Hermann Gröhe, Germany’s minister of health, has decided to introduce tough new measures to clamp down on the increasing number of people refusing to vaccinate their children. Under the new legislation, which will likely go into effect next month, parents who do not consult their healthcare providers about vaccinating their children could face fines of $2,800 (around 2,500 euros). Such children could also face expulsion from their daycare facilities if reported on by the parents of other children. However, some members of the upper house of the German parliament have voiced concerns that forcing kindergartens to report such parents to the health authorities might be a breach of data protection laws.

Gröhe’s hardline approach is in response to a growing number of measles cases in Europe. While only 325 such cases were reported in Germany in 2016, 410 new cases had already been reported by mid-April of this year. The government is insisting that all adults born after 1970 need to ensure that they are vaccinated, and if they have only received one jab, must make plans to get their second shot. [Related: If vaccines are life-saving and risk-free, then why has the secretive Vaccine Court paid out millions in compensation to its victims?]

While the sharp rise in measles cases in Germany and other European cases is indeed unfortunate, it is illogical to believe that they are the fault of those who are not being vaccinated. The BBC is reporting that since the double-dose anti-measles vaccine was introduced across Europe, the number of measles cases has actually dropped sharply, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). In fact, the 5,000 cases reported in Europe in 2016 represent the lowest number ever recorded. It is simply not feasible that a continent which had the lowest number of measles cases ever in one year, should blame a lack of vaccination for outbreaks within the following four months.

These measles outbreaks have been occurring in specific parts of Europe, with seven countries reporting the greatest number of cases: Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Switzerland and Romania. The highest number of cases overall were reported in Italy and Romania, and the WHO blames this on the fact that less than 95 percent of the people in those countries have received their second doses of the measles shot.

One of the countries conspicuously absent from the list of areas most affected is Sweden. This is particularly interesting since that country has taken the progressive decision not to force its citizens to vaccinate their children. The Swedish parliament has recognized that such mandatory vaccinations would be in direct violation of their constitution, and has also noted that there has been “massive resistance to all forms of coercion with regard to vaccination” from the public. In addition, after consulting data from Sweden’s National Health Federation (NHF), they have acknowledged that the MMR (mumps, measles and rubella) vaccine causes “serious adverse reactions” in many patients.

And this does not only apply to the MMR vaccine. A recent peer-reviewed study by a group of scientists from the School of Public Health at Jackson State University confirmed that all vaccines are a) ineffective (with the exception of the chicken pox and whooping cough vaccines); and b) elevate the risk of several long-term neurodevelopmental problems and other issues, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, eczema and allergic rhinitis.

It is likely that the strong-arm tactics of the German government will result in a rapid increase in the number of people getting vaccinated. What will not become clear for several years, however, is how much damage those vaccinations will cause.
