Deceiving and Being Deceived
Dear Friends,
Greetings. In the book of Exodus, chapter 20, verse 4, we find an unusual verse; "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." (A graven image is "an image of wood, stone, or metal shaped with a sharp cutting instrument as distinguished from one cast in a mold". The New Compact Bible Dictionary)
Another unusual verse is Philippians, chapter 2, verse 4; "At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth". Why did God warn the Israelites not to make an image to anything in the "water under the earth" and what is it that has knees, whose habitation is "under the earth". These are questions we hope to answer as we continue on in our discussion. Before we do though, we want to present a few more scriptures to help bolster our premise.

Ezekiel 26:20 "When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living."
Ezekiel 31:14 "To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit."
1Peter 3:19 "By which also he (Jesus) went and preached unto the spirits in prison."
1Peter 4:6 "For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit."
Revelation 5:13 "And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."
Revelation 9:11 "And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."
Revelation 11:7 "And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them."

Are there "beings" of some type living below the surface of the earth on which we live. If the Bible is to be believed this would certainly appear to be the case. The book of 1 Peter, even says that Jesus preached (told them His plan of salvation) to the spirits in prison. Incidently, if there was no possibility of salvation why would Jesus make the effort to preach to them?
Another point to bring out is Genesis, chapter 3, verses 1-4:
" Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die". These verses do not represent an allegory, but rather an actual conversation that took place between a human being, Eve, and a serpent.
Jesus does not refer to the story of the Creation of Adam and Eve as an allegory but as an actual historical event. Matthew 19:4 "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female." Mark 10:6 "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female." Also in Luke, chapter 23, verses 23-38, Jesus' lineage is traced back to Adam.
Now to give you some idea of how thinking has changed, especially in western culture, we wanted to share some quotes from Martin Luther concerning negative spiritual entities and demons.

Martin Luther 1483 - 1546) changed the course of Western civilization by initiating the Protestant Reformation. As a priest and theology professor, he confronted indulgence salesmen with his 95 Theses in 1517. Luther strongly disputed their claim that freedom from God's punishment of sin could be purchased with money. His refusal to retract all of his writings at the demand of Pope Leo X in 1520 and the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Worms meeting in 1521 resulted in his excommunication by the pope and condemnation as an outlaw by the emperor.
Luther taught that salvation is a free gift of God and received only by grace through faith in Jesus as redeemer from sin, not from good works. His theology challenged the authority of the pope of the Roman Catholic Church by teaching that the Bible is the only source of divinely revealed knowledge.
His translation of the Bible into the language of the people (instead of Latin) made it more accessible, causing a tremendous impact on the church and on German culture. It fostered the development of a standard version of the German language, added several principles to the art of translation, and influenced the translation of the King James Bible. His hymns inspired the development of singing in churches. His marriage to Katharina Von Bora set a model for the practice of clerical marriage, allowing Protestant priests to marry.
Luther on Demons
"A large number of deaf, crippled and blind people are afflicted solely through the malice of the demon. And one must in no wise doubt that plagues, fevers and every sort of evil come from him."
"As for the demented, I hold it certain that all beings deprived of reason are thus afflicted only by the Devil."
At Poltersberg, there is a lake similarly cursed. If you throw a stone into it, a dreadful storm immediately arises, and the whole neighboring district quakes to its centre. 'Tis the devils kept prisoner there."
"Demons live in many lands, but particularly in Prussia."
"How often have not the demons called 'Nix,' drawn women and girls into the water, and there had commerce with them, with fearful consequences."
"I myself saw and touched at Dessay, a child of this sort, which had no human parents, but had proceeded from the Devil. He was twelve years old, and, in outward form, exactly resembled ordinary children."
"In Switzerland, on a high mountain, not far from Lucerne, there is a lake they call Pilate's Pond, which the Devil has fixed upon as one of the chief residences of his evil spirits...."
"Many demons are in woods, in waters, in wildernesses, and in dark poolly places ready to hurt...people."
"Our bodies are always exposed to Satan. The maladies I suffer are not natural, but Devil's spells."
"Snakes and monkeys are subjected to the demon more than other animals. Satan lives in them and possesses them. He uses them to deceive men and to injure them."
"Some [demons] are also in the thick black clouds, which cause hail, lightning and thunder, and poison the air, the pastures and grounds."

In the Book of Jude there is a reference made to a man named Enoch.
" And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." (Jude 1:15-16)
The Book of Enoch was found in Abyssinia (Ethiopia) in 1773 after being lost for about 1600 years. It was translated into English in 1821. The Book of Enoch was readily accepted by the early church fathers. For the first three centuries A.D. it was accepted as scripture by the early church. It was eventually dismissed from the Scriptures at the Council of Laodicea. Fragments were also found along with the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The first thirty six chapters of the book of Enoch gives much information about these fallen angels and even gives their specific names.
1It happened after the sons of men had multiplied in those days, that daughters were born to them, elegant and beautiful.
2And when the angels, (3) the sons of heaven, beheld them, they became enamoured of them, saying to each other, Come, let us select for ourselves wives from the progeny of men, and let us beget children.
(3) An Aramaic text reads "Watchers" here (J.T. Milik, Aramaic Fragments of Qumran Cave 4 [Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1976], p. 167).
3Then their leader Samyaza said to them; I fear that you may perhaps be indisposed to the performance of this enterprise;
4And that I alone shall suffer for so grievous a crime.
5But they answered him and said; We all swear;
6And bind ourselves by mutual execrations, that we will not change our intention, but execute our projected undertaking.
7Then they swore all together, and all bound themselves by mutual execrations. Their whole number was two hundred, who descended upon Ardis, (4) which is the top of mount Armon.
(4) Upon Ardis. Or, "in the days of Jared" (R.H. Charles, ed. and trans., The Book of Enoch [Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1893], p. 63).

10Then they took wives, each choosing for himself; whom they began to approach, and with whom they cohabited; teaching them sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees.

Genesis 6:1,2,4
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

So we can see that in the days before the flood, giants lived on the earth that were the progeny of fallen angels and human woman-- hybrids. (Incidently Jesus refers to the flood as an actual historical event: Luke 17:27 "They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all".)
Matthew 24:37 says; "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." What were the days of Noah like; "Genesis 6:11 says; "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence." Not only was the earth corrupt and filled with violence but there was a hybrid race of giants.
Where are we going with all this? We are trying to build your faith for the following documentary, "The UFO Conspiracy".
Concerning the interpretation of a dream David Berg had in February 1978:
The only thing I can get out of it is that the devil is going to really put on some phenomenal manifestations like that in the last days just to frighten people and scare them to death, "men's hearts failing them for fear", "distress of nations" and "signs in the sky" and so on. (Luke21:11,25,26. "And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.") That was just like signs in the sky, what I was seeing. Even some Christians were really quite frightened and running for places of refuge.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised that the Antichrist, the devil incarnate, is going to stage some kind of phoney invasion from outer space. Well, in a way, since that's the Devil and his demons, the fallen angels, they are from outer space. But he is going to use human beings by possession, and is somehow going to capture this young man, this human that he's going to use for the Antichrist. (Acts 2:19 "And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke." 2Thessalonians 2:9 "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.")
In September 1973 David Berg wrote a letter called "Flying Saucers! -- UFOs -- Spiritual Vehicles?" Following are some excerpts from that letter.
"There are UFOs! They are spirit beings and they do appear and people have seen them. Technicians have scientifically tracked them. They have appeared as "signs in the sky" to unbelieving man. That's the way certain angels travel. Their speed and maneuverability are so great that only a spirit could survive such courses!
Do you want to know how the Lord travels? I can describe His vehicle for you and even tell you how it sounds! It's already in the Bible, the whole thing!"
Ezekiel 1:4-28
"And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire enfolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

Are UFOs real? Famous people who believed
The former NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell has claimed that aliens exist and their visits are being covered up by the United States government. Mitchell is in good company in his beliefs. Here we highlight 12 other public figures who believe that extraterrestrials may have been visiting our planet over the last 100 years.
Jimmy Carter, US President from 1976 to 1980, promised while on the campaign trail that he would make public all documents on UFOs if elected. He said: "I don't laugh at people any more when they say they've seen UFOs. I've seen one myself."
General Douglas MacArthur, the Korean and Second World War soldier, said in 1955 that "the next war will be an interplanetary war. The nations of the earth must someday make a common front against attack by people from other planets. The politics of the future will be cosmic, or interplanetary".
J Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI from its inception in 1935 to 1972, said of a famous incident when flying saucers were allegedly fired at over Los Angeles in 1942: "We must insist upon full access to disks recovered. For instance, in the LA case the Army grabbed it and would not let us have it for cursory examination."
Monsignor Corrado Balducci, a Vatican theologian, said: "Extraterrestrial contact is a real phenomenon. The Vatican is receiving much information about extraterrestrials and their contacts with humans from its embassies in various countries, such as Mexico, Chile and Venezuela."
Professor Stephen Hawking: "Of course it is possible that UFOs really do contain aliens as many people believe, and the Government is hushing it up."

Is the Vatican easing humanity toward alien disclosure?
Church astronomer latest to speak of "space brothers"

May 18, 2008 - (Raiders News Network) Vatican chief astronomer Father Jose Gabriel Funes in a long interview with the L'Osservatore Romano newspaper this week made news by saying there is a certain possibility of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, and that such notion "doesn't contradict our faith."
"How can we rule out that life may have developed elsewhere? Just as we consider earthly creatures as 'a brother,' and 'sister, ' why should we not talk about an 'extraterrestrial brother'? It would still be part of creation," he said.
The statements by Funes are the latest in a string of recent comments by Vatican astronomers confirming a belief that discovery may be made in the near future of alien life, including intelligent life, and that this discovery would not unhinge the doctrine of Christ.
In 2005, another Vatican astronomer, Guy Consolmagno tackled this subject in a 50-page booklet, Intelligent Life in the Universe, in which he concluded that chances are better than not that mankind is facing a future discovery of extraterrestrial intelligence.
Approximately 7 years ago Monsignor Corrado Balducci made similar news when he said ETs were actually already interacting with earth and that some of the Vatican's leaders were aware of it.
Before his death in 1999, maverick Catholic theologian Father Malachi Martin hinted at such more than once. In 1997, while on Coast to Coast AM radio, Art Bell asked him why the Vatican was heavily inves ted in the study of deep space at Mt Graham Observatory in southeastern Arizona. As a retired professor of the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Father Martin was uniquely qualified to hold in secret, information pertaining to the Vatican's Advanced Technology Telescope (VATT) project at the Mount Graham International Observatory (MGIO). Martin's answer ignited a firestorm of interest among Christian and secular Ufologists when he said, "Because the mentality... amongst those who [are] at the... highest levels of Vatican administration and geopolitics, know that, now, knowledge of what's going on in space, and what's approaching us, could be of great import in the next five years, ten years."
Those cryptic words "...what's approaching us, could be of great import in the next five years, ten years," was followed in subsequent interviews with discussion of a mysterious "sign in the sky" that Malachi believed was approaching from the North. People familiar with Malachi believe he may have been referring to a near-future arrival of alien intelligence.
If ET life is something Vatican officials ha ve privately considered for some time, why speak of it so openly now, in what some perceive as a careful doctrinal unveiling over the last 24 months? Is this a deliberate effort by church officials to "warm-up" the laity to ET Disclosure? Are official church publications on the subject an attempt to soften the blow before disclosure arrives, in order to help the faithful retain their orthodoxy in light of unprecedented forthcoming knowledge?

India May Be First To Tell - The World About ET Contact -

New Delhi is in the middle of a big secret internal debate. On one side the largest democracy of the world is eager to explain to its citizens and to the world about the ongoing contacts with the UFOs and extra-terrestrials. Jesus didn't take up the offer, but could other men have given in to the temptation and now be working directly with Satan for world domination, the worship of Satan, the mark of the beast.? The physical world melding with the spiritual world for a specific goal.

Alien Abductions Stopped

Dirk Vander Ploeg, the Publisher of UFO Digest, recently asked me if I knew of alien abductions having been stopped by the utterance of the name of Jesus. He told me that "apparently this information is being withheld by Mufon and other reporters, investigators etc."
I reminded him that I had written about the possibility of such occurrences in several articles including, Extraterrestrials Tremble at the Name of Jesus, UFO Digest March 29, 2007, and more recently The Birth of Christ caused the Extraterrestrial Fallen Angels to Tremble, UFO Digest, December 3, 2008.
The word of God tells us that demons (as well as fallen angels, i.e. extraterrestrials) tremble at the name of Jesus (James 2:19) because God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above all names (Philippians 2:9). At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow of those on the earth, and those under the earth and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10).
My own article last year, My Anonymous CIA Source: The Real Story of UFOs, UFO Digest, 6/16/08, revealed that my source in Washington who worked for the CIA for 25 years after working, I believe, for the top secret Operation Paperclip after WWII which brought Nazi scientists to America, some of whom were supposedly involved in flying saucer research, and who was in charge of security for President Kennedy's visit to Germany in the early sixties, and was confidant to later Presidents, told me to "stay with my UFO writings about the Bible." He then told me that "you have the truth. All else is opinion." This statement from a man whom I trust and who served in the highest echelons.
Nearly twenty years ago, when I was once confronted by demons, I cried out the name of Jesus Christ and they fled. Try it next time that you are confronted by a fallen angel masquerading as an extraterrestrial. But then, I am just a writer and a disseminator of God's word. I am not a member of MUFON (the Mutual UFO Network) or an expert or an investigator into alien abduction phenomena.
