Continued Turbulence

Dear Friends,

Greetings. It has been another turbulent week on the world's financial markets. Below, once again, is just a sampling of news articles that have appeared recently. These articles are by no means meant to instill any fear in you what so ever, but are placed here to help you be aware of the times in which we are living. As Jesus said, it is important that we are able to discern “the signs of the times”. (Mt. 16:3)

Always remember that what we are seeing happen in today's world, is the physical manifestation of what is taking place behind the scenes, in the real world, the spirit world. (Eph. 6:12) “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

The “spiritual wickedness in high places” is of course the Devil and his demons who are working through their earthly agents and organizations to bring about the one world government, the rise of the Antichrist, the mark of the beast, etc, ultimately, the worship of the Devil!

Remember, a great deal of Satan's power is achieved through fear. We have no cause to fear. In times of “turbulence”, when flying, you have to fasten your seat belt and trust your captain. In this case we have a captain who can not fail, (2CH.13:12) “And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain”. With Jesus in our hearts and our spiritual seat belts buckled tightly, that is a close intimate relation with Him, exercising the spiritual gifts He has given us, we can ride out any storm, no matter how turbulent it becomes. (PSA.18:2) “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”

As you read the news articles below keep these thoughts in mind. Also, as you read, watch, or listen to news broadcasts, know that many of the worlds news agencies, knowingly or unknowingly, most people who are used by the Devil do not even realize they are being used by the Devil, may be part of the organization designed to instill you with fear.

Leaks have come out because some representatives were angry at what they were hearing. A lot more was being discussed than the pending security surveillance bill. Other things discussed were: 1) The imminent collapse of the U.S. economy by September 2008 [their words, not this editor’s]; 2) The imminent collapse of U.S. federal government finances by February 2009 [their words, not mine]; 3) The possibility of Civil War inside the USA as a result of the collapse; and 4) Advance round-ups of insurgent U.S. citizens likely to move against the government.”

Liquidating The Empire

In the Crash of 2008, 40 percent of stock value has vanished, almost $9 trillion. Some $5 trillion in real estate value has disappeared. A recession looms with sweeping layoffs, unemployment compensation surging, and social welfare benefits soaring.

As Americans save nothing, where are the Feds going to get the money? Is the Fed going to print it and destroy the dollar and credit rating of the United States? Because the nations whose vaults are full of dollars and U.S. Debt - China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Arabs - are reluctant to lend us more. Sovereign wealth funds that plunged billions into U.S. banks have already been burned.

Uncle Sam's Visa card is about to be stamped "Canceled."

The budget is going to have to go under the knife. But what gets cut?

Social Security and Medicare are surely exempt. Seniors have already taken a huge hit in their 401(k)s. And as the Democrats are crafting another $150 billion stimulus package for the working poor and middle class, Medicaid and food stamps are untouchable. Interest on the debt cannot be cut. It is going up. Will a Democratic Congress slash unemployment benefits, welfare, education, student loans, veterans benefits - in a recession?

No way. Yet, that is almost the entire U.S. Budget - except for defense, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and foreign aid. And this is where the ax will eventually fall.

It is the American Empire that is going to be liquidated.

In the week of the crash in 1929, Wall Street fell by 23 per cent. Last week, it fell by 18 per cent, London and Frankfurt by 21 per cent and Japan's Nikkei by 24 per cent. Every major financial centre's interbank market is frozen. Trust and confidence have collapsed; the global system is paralysed on a scale that now surpasses 1929. There is a combination of a worldwide bank run, seizure of credit markets and collapse of asset values that could plunge the globe into a depression.

The scale of what is happening is scarcely credible.

As economy sinks, officials fear violent solutions

• With nowhere else to turn, some people are calling suicide-prevention hot lines

• Counseling services are in high demand and domestic-violence shelters are full

• Worries mount after a string of financially related violent incidents across U.S.

• Texas psychologist says current crisis breeding a sense of chronic anxiety

• Across the country, authorities are becoming concerned that the nation's financial woes could turn increasingly violent, and they are urging people to get help. In some places, mental-health hot lines are jammed, counseling services are in high demand and domestic-violence shelters are full.

• With nowhere else to turn, many people are calling suicide-prevention hot lines. The Samaritans of New York have seen calls rise more than 16 percent in the past year, many of them money-related. The Switchboard "A lot of people are telling us they are losing everything. They're losing their homes, they're going into foreclosure, they've lost their jobs," said Virginia Cervasio, executive director of a suicide resource enter in southwest Florida's Lee County.

• But tragedies keep mounting.

If you do not already know Jesus, we invite you to pray this simple prayer to receive eternal life right now and become a citizen of His Kingdom, just believe in Him, confess you have done wrong and need His forgiveness, and receive Him into your heart now by just asking him to come in. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock" Jesus says. "....if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." (Rev.3:20)

If you do know Jesus, then be sure to let others know that He has made a way of escape, (1CO.10:13) “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
