Age of Deception

Dear Friends,

Greetings, in what is being called a pivotal and historic week in the history of the world and in particular, in the history of the United States. No matter what you think about the elections in the US, one thing I think we can all agree on is the fact that we have seen history being made. It has been said that a nation or people get the kind of leadership they deserve. There is a clear example of this in the book of 1Samuel, chapter eight. Israel had been ruled as a theocracy under the prophet Samuel but there had been some problems and the people demanded a change.

1SA.8:4-22 'Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them. And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king. And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. (Drafted them into the military.) ... And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.

Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD. And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king."

Adulation of the Democratic nominee is building to a crescendo. Offering a prayer before a rally in Columbus, Ohio today, Cornal Garnett Henning, an AME bishop for parts of Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, compared him to Moses and Martin Luther King in the same breath.

He thanked God for having "given us a Moses and a Martin called Barack Obama" and asked the Almighty to "grant that we together this nation under God may have the will to bring about the change we need" and ensure that "those who cast their sacred vote will not be deprived this right".

In the grand scheme of things it is most likely it would not have mattered who was elected president of the US, as the powers behind the scenes really control both major parties in the US at this point in history.

In a prophetic vision given almost fifty years ago, David Berg in 1960 gave the following description of what he foresaw coming to the United States and the world.

"THE END-TIME WHISPERING VISION"

"There was that first gradual infiltration and taking over of our thoughts and our education, and even into some of our churches. These principles which they taught were so much similar to our own and yet were so diabolical and fiendish. They pretended to be emissaries of love with a concern for mankind, but were truly motivated by hate, inspired by the very Devil himself.

They wore a beautiful mask of peace and so called freedom and social uplift, but underneath was the cold, hard, cruel, iron, fiendish, demonic power of Satan himself! They crept into our institutions in the form of university professors and high school teachers, and into our churches as moralistic pastors preaching their social Gospel, and even into our government and state department as those who were concerned about world welfare, the United Nations and One World.

But they always left God out of the picture and exalted man and his ability to solve his own problems by his united effort under this great anti-christ system and One World government.

Gradually they even crept into our very minds with their doctrine and their teaching deceiving many that could be deceived because they had rejected the truth, until multitudes were open and ready for them and received them with open arms. But many of the hard-core conservative reactionaries, patriots they were called, the nationalists, militarists, ecclesiastical leaders and so on, could not be swayed by the great lie.--This diabolical, fiendish, subtle, deceitful, hypnotic suggestion, demoniacally conveyed into the very minds and the spirits of those deceived.

But many were not deceived because of their knowledge of the truth, and many simply resented the fact that they were going to have to give up their way of life, their riches and their wealth."

How true and fulfilled now, nearly fifty years later.

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived" 2TI.3:13. "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect" MAT.24:24.

My friends, we live in an age of mass deception. The greatest time of deception in the world's history. Once someone has rejected the truth, except for the mercy of God and a change of heart, there is really nothing left but to believe a lie. "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:" 2TH.2:10-11.

"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. REV.13:11-14

Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life." If you want truth and not delusion the first step is to receive Jesus into your life and heart. To do this just pray a simple prayer, something like this: "Dear Jesus I know I need your love and salvation. I know I have done wrong in my life and I ask you to please forgive me and to come into my heart and give me eternal life. Please give me Your truth and keep me from the lies and deceit of the Devil. In Jesus name I pray."
